Personality:
Level headed and all around mellow, Haitani is noted to be a rather calm person. In day to day situations, he likes to keep a peaceful state of mind. Though, in the past, there was a point in his childhood where his then bad attitude and overly serious disposition plagued his behavior. But this all changed after a serious "talking to" by his father one night on top of the Hokage Monument, which also saved him from his mother's wrath, more specifically, her belt. Haitani is usually seen with a relaxed expression on his face and is not easily angered by anyone save for a few key individuals in his life. As a result, he is very well liked young man, especially around where his Mother resides, which is also his place of residence.

Haitani does not consider himself skilled in the "art of small talk". Sometimes people who would think of him to have the tendency to be a loner at times. However, when asked about this by his , his quickly replied "It's not that I don't want to talk to some people, it's just we'd have nothing to talk about". He is in no way shy and, in fact, has exceptionally public speaking skills; neither is he not friendly. Though there are some people that are an exception to this rule, that even when there isn't much to talk about, he loves chatting with them anyway. Among these people are his bestfriends, Tetsuo Senju and Ryu Uchiha. Though, it's important to note that Haitani has made a good deal of friends, both in Konoha and in other lands.

Haitani also has an extreme thirst for adventure, which he has stated is one of the reasons he wants to become a shinobi, having the want to feel the world that his eyes can't see. Because of this adventurous nature, he tends to avoid taking 'the easy way out' at times. Haitani has no actual sense of caution and in fact, has been known to keep a very stern face, a smirk, or even literally laugh in the face of danger and walk into potentially harmful situations with a smug or stern expression on his face. For example, when he got in trouble for wondering Konoha and gladly took his whooping like a champ. 


 
History:
Nanashi Hyuuga was considered the finest head of the Hyuuga to ever grace Konoha and one of its finest swordsmen before siring a child with the head of the Branch House, Hitomi Hyuuga. Unorthodox to some, Nanashi was proud of the child of that would earn him the title of greatest father. Haitani would be his name and blindness would be a gift instead of a curse. During the early years, Haitani was a rapscallion acting up whenever he got the chance and catching a whooping every time. Nanashi and Hitomi had never dealt with a child of special needs and they found it difficult comforting him as they were even scared he wouldn't be able to use birthright or live a normal life. 

There came a turning point around age 5 when Haitani had ran off in a temper tantrum. A young blind boy full sprint. It was a miracle that he made to the Hokage monument with a bit of help along the way. Nanashi finally found his son, sobbing and crying to his knees. A strong and wise man Nanashi spoke to his son from his heart. Every word touched Haitani and acted as his inspiration to change. It was these very words that stuck with him that even in the dark, he could snatch victory. Haitani changed the wording a bit but he never forgot them. Haitani still caught a whooping that night with his head held high. 

For several years afterward the young heir of the Hyuuga trained with his father to hone his senses beyond most normal shinobi nearly on par with Inuzuka children in order to counteract his blindness. The byakugan came natural to him as it allowed him to see the world in a beautiful way. It was noted by his family that Haitani was rather talented in Taijutsu despite his inability to see his teacher's movements. It was almost as if Haitani could feel every stance and movement. Instead of teaching him the stalwart defensive stances of the Hyuuga, the more freeform stance of the Gentle Step was taught.

Even during his training and the meetings, the heir of the Hyuuga was able to make a friend by the name of Tetsuo Senju aka the heir of the Senju. The heirs of the most prestigious clans in Konoha came together like puzzle pieces. Tetsuo never found his friend's blindness as an annoyance and Haitani appreciated it that. It was the closest bond he'd have next to his parents and cousin. Tetsuo was not his only friend as Ryu Uchiha would come to into his life during the academy days. Most people knew Ryu as a boy but Haitani was...confused. While many called Ryu a boy, the byakugan showed a feminine frame. This turn of events forever confused Haitani as he didn't know what to believe and it could easily confuse the hormones of a teenager. 

Life would not be nice for the Hyuuga during the Great Ninja War. Nanashi, his brother, and many of the clansmen would meet their end during the invasion of Kumogakure. They were frontline soldiers and risked their lives till the bombs went off leaving Kumogakure a smoldering crater and none alive that were near the epicenter. A painful time for Haitani as he mourned for his father. His father's smile forever ingrained into his soul. For over a year Haitani felt the weight of his father's soul on him. All of his happiness and expectations for Haitani filling him to the point he took up his father's sword that had been left to him before the invasion. Now  with his mother taking over the clan and graduating from the Academy, Haitani has resolved to become the Hyuuga that his father had envisioned.

Description:
 Taking a page from his father, Haitani has taken to using his father's former blade, White Fang. White Fang is a slender sword with a finely sharpened blade consisting of a pure gold hilt, and oak handle wrapped in white cloth. The blade carries a special seal that sources Haitani's chakra into it, allowing him to "see" the weapon and control it like his own arm.

Special Traits
Haitani was diagnosed with blindness from the day he was born, a rare trait amongst the Hyuuga. This has effected him in a different way, having to learn to increase his reliance on his other senses. With his byakugan, he is afforded a secondary sight through chakra and can train just as effectively as anyone else, just in a different way. 

Haitani has always been a quite talented in the art of chakra control and taijutsu, as a Hyuuga should be, allowing him to move forward and advance despite his weakness of blindness. Forsaking genjutsu, and only caring for Ninjutsu that enhanced his taijutsu, Haitani is determined to become the greatest of his age.

Description:
A defensive application of the Gentle Fist, and a rather simplistic technique of the Hyūga Clan. Upon being struck by a technique, the user places their forearm outwards and does a side-step in order to evade the attack initially. In order to completely counter with this technique, the user subsequently exerts their chakra through the tenketsu near their wrists in a similar manner to Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body. In turn, this collides with the tenketsu that the user makes contact with through the previous evasive maneuver, blocking off their chakra pathway and subsequently allowing for the attacker to be blown away by the force of the chakra released by the user of the technique, giving the user an ample opening to exploit.
Weakness:
It easily susceptible to feints, and basically just better taijutsu. It is a solely defensive technique that doesn't hurt the opponent.

Description:
A rather unique application of the Gentle Fist. Due to the nature of the Byakugan being able to perceive the flow of energy - chakra - within a body, the user of the Gentle Fist may employ a singular palm strike to one side of the body, for example an outstretched right hand that is facing downwards. This, in turn, causes the chakra within the Tenketsu to be expelled at a rate high enough to completely upturn the energy flow of the individual, forcing them to lose balance and therefore fall to the ground after a spinning motion in the air. While it is intended to be used in this regard, most amateurish Gentle Fist users are able to do so with some assistance by a throw, albeit a light one.
Weakness:
Haitani is still a genin and has to grab his opponent and perform a light throw first. WHich is easier said then done for an individual that lack in strength

Description:
The Gentle Blade is an expansion of the Gentle Fist through the use of a blade, and a far more lethal variation of the previous fighting style. Much like the Gentle Fist, the Gentle Blade utilizes unique chakra flow and control to create a needle-like apparition around the medium in question - the blade. However, unlike the Gentle Fist style, the style is only used for lethal strikes. As explained by Nanashi Hyuuga, the moment one utilizes an armed, edged weapon alongside the capabilities of the Byakugan, there is no point trying to save one's life. This is because the nature of a bladed weapon both increases the range of the Gentle Fist style, but also causes the targeting of Tenketsu to be redundant. Therefore, Nanashi only utilized this style - and by extension his katana - during executions and the like, preferring not to cause wanton bloodshed.

There is a less lethal and temporary version that combines the Gentle fist ability to inflict internal damage through attacking the body's Chakra Pathway System, with the swift strikes and cutting ability of kenjutsu and chakra flow. When combined, instead of damaging the opponent's body on the outside much like normal kenjutsu, this jutsu cuts the opponents chakra network. This works by gathering chakra at the tip of her blade, then with a strike he surgically "cuts" opponent's chakra pathway system, causing damage to surrounding organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system.
Weakness: 
Haitani only learned the basics from his father and is effectively unable to use the lethal version of this technique. He is even very inexperienced with the less lethal version. The style can easily be contested by superior swordsman and those able to protect their chakra pathways and tenketsu.

Description:
It is widely known that the Hyuuga are renown for their Gentle Fist fighting style. The form is gentle and light, able to deliver devastating blows with nothing but a seemingly peaceful touch. However, the form is about more then fists, for the Huiga are experts as releasing chakra from any point upon their body. They are graceful, agile, and flexible. These are the principals of the Gentle Step.

This style of movement allows the clan members to move swiftly with great speed, as well as move evasively with their agility and flexibility. This is a stunningly different style of movement then what is normally seen in combat, for it adds a high degree of grace to the battlefield. This is a basic skill most Hyuuga know, but one that can be expanded upon in various ways. The technique itself does not necessarily require chakra, as it is done mostly through grace.

Weakness: 
This style is all about being evasive and attacking when an opening makes it self. Feints and a stalwart defense leave this style at a disadvantage. Being a style of combat, it is up to the practictioner on how potent the style is. Haitani is mostly self-taught in this style and makes mistakes and imprecise movements at times leaving him wide open for attacks.
