Well, he can see the timelines, but when you restart the game, he has no memory of you restarting. It is possibly that he knows of the Save feature but can't utilize it himself. Because of the knowledge, he knows when things aren't right after the player ReLoads. Or dies and Loads the game.
No. Never. Will not use the idiotic stylus that should have been made a very long time ago. I did have Procreate, but it was blacklisted and I can't use it because of the name. Parents took the name waaay out of context.
He knows about the save feature and talks about it. But perhaps he doesn't know when the game is reset.
My beef isn't the fact that it's a stylus, but the fact that it's a hundred dollars.

I think he talked about "going back there" with the battle against him. Possibly hinting that he was once human and lost memory of himself after his death.
Keep in mind though that he can see the timelines. He probably wouldn't lose his memory.
I wish I had a better art program than just Sketchbook on my Ipad.
