I think that'll work! Going back to the tavern to relax, meet people, end up in a fight, go on another adventure, and back to the village to make a magic school from scratch! I guess I'll just pop-in.
Awesome! Yeah, it's a common puzzle to figure out how to introduce characters to each other without relying on getting crazy lucky with portals.

Idk if you're interested in going back to Sideslash's tavern and build more relationships with characters there? There's also a friendly fight he could end up in the middle of, but I'll leave that to the players actually doing that one.
