Current Alright, Inkarnate. You win the game of RP flex's, how does it feel? Do you feel like the hero you are?

I'm fighting my procrastination to try and keep my daily posts at 1.51 instead of 1.50. I didn't realise it'd be this much of a battle!

I'm not worried about that post at all. What should happen ?

Sudden assassination attempt on the entire party ?
Overloaded beer barrel carriage running over them as they step out of the tavern ?
Dark elves already at Riverhope's doorstep ?
An-Hasst hits his head on the doorframe on his way out, blacks out, falls back and cracks his skull on the floor ?
The entire party has to gird up their loins, but following this extremely complicated instruction sheet takes so long that they fail in their quest ?

All of the above and more! At the same time!
Gird your loins. Post incoming Friday night (my time).

I'm worried about the content of this next post now... XD
Oops
I'm looking to post soonish, so keep your eyes peeled!
I am the best procrastinator in existence. Or rather, the worst at posting as frequently as I ought to. Apologies for that, @POOHEAD189; since I need to post more frequently in Mercenaries too, I'll probably be getting on with that soon. "Soon" hopefully being today, but tomorrow at the latest.

The majority of the site can quite personally relate to your problem, don't worry about it! That's the GM's job ;)
Alice considered the request as another man spoke up, pledging his allegiance which was dipped in far to much petty flattery for him to be part of any aristocracy, despite his well tailored clothes. The Vretonnian edge in his voice, just like Alice's, meant she could guess he was a priest, either of Fineki or Tirdel or something she couldn't quite remember the name of know about. Truly the aforementioned religions were so rare in her homeland it was incredible she remembered their names at all, so she had no idea of which one he might be. To be honest she didn't much care to find out, and was just idly musing while she considered the Princess' question.

There would be much danger, that was obvious and not concealed by Vanya. The image she showed perturbed Alice and most of those in the bar. Other than Geradin, she noted, who just seemed to get even more pumped up for the coming conflict. Alice sighed, and resigned herself to the fact that many people would join this venture, and not all too many would come back. "It seems we cannot shirk our duty. If this city were to fall it would give invading forces a strong foothold against the rest of the civilised world. Another question, though. What assistance will you lend us?"

She fruitlessly hoped the Princess would say "Our army and five hundred magical tomes." but life could never be that easy. None of the gods wanted it that way if you subscribed to such beliefs. Besides, such wishes were not based in reality because it was doubtful the princess could spare them, such as it is recently with such danger around. The time for adventurers is normally when every other source of might has been exhausted.

I threw something up quickly to keep the ball rolling, it's wonderful to see such life in this RP again!
Tarden worked a trade upon the door, and pretty quickly it was properly re-aligned on it's hinges and the wood-glue was drying nicely. He left it open as to let the smell clear a bit and so that nobody would touch it and keep it from drying. Some people get engrossed in their work, but Tarden always finds himself more alert and aware than usual. He heard a cu-thunk of dagger point hitting wood on the painted wall towards the back of the inn. By the subtle breaks in her words while it happened Tarden guessed it was the Halfling at the table doing such a thing, and although he didn't know how accurate the throws were it would be an impressive feat to get even close at that distance. Clearly she was quite a talented marksmen! I guess it makes sense, their kind is famous for their ability to throw things.. He ignored the argument between her and the dangerous looking lady. He was in the hobby of making quiet observations, not in the business of other people's business

Then there came mention of a witch. Though the party failed to notice it for the most part, the bar hushed. Had these adventurers brought a witch into this establishment and endangered everyone here? "A witch? Where is this witch?" Tarden couldn't help his curiosity and mild anxiety. Other voices echoed his question in more hostile tones. "Why would you bring something like that here?" one cried, another shouted "Trouble! You're all trouble!" and made a vulgar warding sign with his hand. The situation looked as though it might get out of hand if not for some sort of intervention, people apparently were stupid enough to try and be hostile to a halfling marksmen and a man more muscle and might than the entire room put together

So how is everyone?
@Lacks Just so we're clear, how common is it for a user of magic to be able to hear someone else's song? I would imagine it would be a rare and powerful ability that can be used only by those of great power (helpfully ruling out Alice before she can ruin your character dilemma!)

Edit: Maybe at a base level most mages can detect magic, talented ones can read magic and a few gifted users can actually hear it? Often at the loss of sanity due to listening inbetween realities...
