The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

"So you have no name."

The young one's voice trailed off in disappointment, but the beast in all of its divine, animal glory seemed to take no further heed of this. It was but fact and fact enough that it had no need for a mortal name, its title and implications derived thereof were all it needed to convince those who came to witness it what it was. There were few other myths it could be mistaken for - fewer other predators or prey of the land that wielded the will of divine nature as easily as it wielded its senses.

"It will be difficult for me to address you if you do not have a name, Sir..."

Great mane and head alike nodded in gentle reply under the moonlit night, aware that the girl could "see" it despite being robbed of her sight. She continued on a breath later, "May I call you Heru? In the Solar Woods it means lord."

"So long as you recall that 'Heru' is a title and not a name, you may call me by it." The large jaws parted, speaking these words to her with as much firmness as a father speaking to a child. It was not out of lack of compassion, not in the slightest, but it was clear the sovereign beast took itself most seriously for it was indeed a living lord; a noble line of a noble realm and commanded that respect.

Watching her clasped hands, filled with excitement and joy that she was permitted to address the wild paragon in her own way, the golden eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Her innocence and pleasure at this, even in the threat of darkness, was some hope. Hope that the powerful animal mystic would need more of, namely in the days to come and from the hearts of many, many men, both those weak and those strong. She, Sabriye as she called herself, continued her inquiry, to which the feline figure drew up a paw; a silence to her questions as he gently interrupted her.

"Settle."

The paw set itself back to the impression it left among the softness of the forest's floor; the freshness of the night's air was still and silent, as though it too had been commanded.

"The heart of the darkness is where we need journey, but it is no matter handled swiftly..." The neck of the powerful feline figure turned, looking into the depths of the forest, seeing out the direction they would need travel for quite some time. "You are young and bold, small one... but this endeavor will test you in ways even I do not know..."

Do we have an initiative chart anywhere? I cannot seem to find it if we do.
The first of the attacking pair was the fortunate one, for if there were to be any kobolds to live slightly longer, this particular small reptilian figure was to be one. The dagger that bit across the hide of the savage man's armored leg ground roughly against the steel and flesh lying beneath; Brannor cared not for that particular injury, but the next one he took great pride in as he led the other attacker into the funnel. It was now he stepped back, shunting the much smaller figure behind him out of the way to create foot room all the while seemingly unhindered by his fresh wound.

The oncoming kobold set to plunge his dagger into the man's abdomen had already made his fatal flaw of following the armsman's feint. He would score his blow, but at the cost of what was undoubtedly to be his life...

The weight of the greatsword and its wielder came in at a brutal angle, set to drop the center of the tremendous sword's edge and the man's great muscle into a stroke below the kobold's neck and across the center of its chest; the previously bloodied weapon seemed to hunger only more as Brannor exhaled a deep, almost snarled breath with the motion. The sting of their blades, not unalike those of petty insects, awoke the adrenaline within and filled him with the thrill of the righteous hunt. Still of clear enough mind, he knew the orc was preoccupying the rest based upon the yelling back and forth, the loosing of arrows and words of magic power and conflict itself; he would join them soon enough.

Pivoting, carrying up and out the ferocious strike, he turned to face the first kobold who could witness the savagery in the man's golden eyes. The thin dagger wounds, both low where only small limbs could reach, trickled with glinting blood in the firelight, but certainly were not as promising as the pair of kobolds would have hoped...

He provided a hunter's smile to the kobold.

@IcePezz, I think it might be to you. There's little I can add until we're established where we are next.
At times I wonder why I even bother playing in roleplaying topics than just running my own. I know the intent is to not need to do everything and instead just participate, but there's something endlessly frustrating about continually being forced to explain myself when there's ample evidence and information that I already made and discussed... not to mention was explicitly approved. Not just a question of power either, some of these rulings are just arbitrary.
For the sake of concession and not for the sake of fact, I will abstain from my second inherent attack by request, so the matter in question is now resolved.
From what could be called a warrior's stillness from coming to know his enemy face to face, the broad man with rough tawny hair then sprung to life; the leather creases of his folded traveler's boots shifting as their soles dug into the earth beneath him. His motion was a lunge and a onslaught with the rapidity of a bolt, all at an unusual swiftness for a mercenary looking sort of his size and build, muscular and armored in chain and animal hide as he was. The binding of the great blade set in both mighty hands, the first fearsome swing came at the nearest kobold in an arcing, upward slash that leveraged the momentum and stature of its bearer and the rush of the charge itself; the steel bite of the weapon reached out, hoping that the small, reptilian figure was neither swift or lucky.

To the outlander, he hoped his frightening display of prowess would steal their focus; if the kobolds were going to find anything the most desirable target, he wished for it to be him rather than some peasant folk, children and a battle-weary woman. Better yet, he knew the orc would soon enough would join the fray, creating yet another living wall of steel and wrath as arrows, perhaps een magic, would strike from afar. The greater goal after all was to liberate the town, but for now?

Brannor would settle on evening the score against what seemed to be the dragon's peons.

You will have your post from me tomorrow. Are we always going to ready actions? I avoided doing so because I am unsure how the kobolds and the like would react and move in the environ, potentially making some actions impossible then.
Personally, I've always seen CG as, "Do what you feel is right despite what the law says."

More so, "Do what is right, despite what the law says."

On another note, I will be away the majority of this weekend. Do not worry about waiting for me to send a responding post; there's little I can say as it is in this current situation.
Canonically, Chaotic Good will always be the "greater good" and Lawful Good the "just and goodly". If you are playing the straight and narrow or closer to Exalted type rules, there's no option but to really abide by the "classic" staple of honor. If you are going by the newer interpretations, "honor" need not be societal honor anymore; you need honor only your code and your beliefs, of which are inherently good because of their tenants and their source. This results in some more unusual and newer interaction, in that Lawful Good might just be outright opposed in beliefs to Lawful Neutral societies.

I think this is in part why you see the Oath of the Crown in addition to the Oath of the Devotion in the current edition.
