The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

I do not see the cat in there. I believe this error should be noted and recorded.
It is both immensely regrettable and frustrating to have seen so much lost, but while everything in me wishes to voice that opinion I know that would achieve so little. Because of the nature of this roleplay and the way it was handled, while I believe I could continue it with the proper insight, it seems as though the nature and approach to it would be lost in the process; I lack the diversity of two individuals and I also lack the whole picture, having not been an insider throughout its inception. Accounting for this, all I can do is hope that something is made of this and that all those involved do not feel it is for not.

As I stated, I am more than displeased with the way it seems this will resolve itself, but I can sympathize that this does not appear to be by choice.
"Do you think it's pretending?"

Brannor drew near, having looked over the lifeless heap impaled firmly through by the orc's mighty throw; the creature was certainly as dead as it looked and the man wished to pay it no more mind after being certain enough. He dwelled no more on the fiend or its companions, seeing as his own were content with the calm after the conflict. It was an ill thing to think longer on the darkness than one needed, breathing curses rather than blessings. All the same, the wild knight gave his thanks that he had the endurance to survive the would-be slaying arrow and the power drawn up from within to stay the spilling of his blood.

"It was only awake for some seconds anyway... I cannot really tell about these things. I've never even seen such a creature before today."

"The Silver Lady has been more than kind on this night to us thus far," The man started as he ran a finger about the partially healed gash across the side of his throat, "So I hold hope that after tonight these beasts need not be seen again."

The man's attention drifted from the seemingly unconscious kobold to Linan as she looked to the keep. Brannor followed with an exhale, acknowledging that was unlikely to be the truth and setting his great weapon back to its sheath for a moment. He thought, in depth for a moment of reflection, knowing he and the half-blood warrior could catch their breath if they took a rest, but there seemed nowhere truly that safe. An even greater blessing - than avoiding a deathly arrow's entire wrath - was that the great scaled figure stayed busy elsewhere, but how much longer could fate hold it out? Brannor dared not tempt it, for while he adored the prospect of fighting valiantly to the end against the darkness, he felt there was more yet to be done.

"Toy with the scaled thing if you desire, but if you do we," His cloaked head nodded slightly to the barbarian's direction upon the roof, "Could use the breather to gather our strength."

I will be posting tomorrow after I return.
Suspicious activity from this account and this topic.
If you are looking for a RP to host I have one that would be long-term, with room for a second story. It is completely fantasy based with a team of Champions much like Gauntlet but with a coming calamity that the gods need prepare the champions for, and could even have its own form of deities to be played. I haven't the time to actually host it, but if you want it I could send you the notes and whatnot.

Unfortunately I find myself in the mental space of "I have been running games for so long that I just want to participate for once on an extended journey." I admit though, that sounds like an idea that probably would find a good amount of success and for the right reasons. It has a base to function and expand from, but still sounds original enough that there's plenty of creativity to abound.
I am greatly displeased with the current trends among the Guild in its roleplaying sections. Perhaps I just have at last reached the point of no return, but so many of these topics feel either flimsy from their inception to just their execution. Others seem like mirror images of the same topic - as though a player or viewer just up and left with the idea, modified it slightly, and reproduced it. It might just be today this illusion has fallen on me, but I have not been more frustrated in my search for a long term roleplay to join in some while.
@Mr Rage, I am more or less hoping to go where things seemed to be advancing toward, but if we would like to disband then this can be done as well.
I do hope there is a post tonight - I would like to continue to see this through at a good rate.
@Mr Rage, @Ojo chan 42, it is back to you both.
