The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

The Harbinger of Ferocity
Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine Nature, red in tooth and claw.
"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage." - Carl Van Vechten
I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.
My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.
"Lets pull single words or quotes out of context and then criticize it under the thin veil of our "superior" humor! We know our opinion is the only right one because we are so progressive that we make no effort to look into it and post supporting citation of it! Let's not look at opposing viewpoints' links or videos posted because lulz its 2017!"
You do realize that is how this behavior portrays itself, correct?
I know of James Allsup but I do not make any effort to follow him or his identity, @Dynamo Frokane. From what little I know he was assaulted by rioters with a flagpole, which more or less started his limited fame, and later on made a controversial appearance at Charlottesville where he made an impromptu speech. From the latter, I also recall him condemning the violence of both sides, but also being harassed for not focusing on the Neo-Nazis - as we saw too the same reaction be leveled at the President. After that, opposition researchers dug into his personal and private history and labeled him any number of the usual terms.
As normal for myself, I really do not take heed or fall in line to anyone else's perspective, so if there is a specific question you have in mind about him I am not familiar enough to give a fair answers.
No, just that something people might listen to was chosen because they view it as unbiased or perhaps less biased; the reality is, is that they are neither of these things and are just as bad as VICE, CNN, MSNBC, Salon, et cetera. Additionally, they were the first to break the story. If you want actual news, you need go digging for it or find agencies that actually make an attempt to report on stories, even if they do not fit the mainstream narrative. Politico is Left leaning and only put this out as a means to further distance itself, along with the rest of the normal media as they have over the past week, from the Alt-Left that is Antifa and other violent insurrectionist groups. This is the same reason you are seeing those who were adamantly supporting Antifa and their ilk back peddling and tripping over themselves in doing so.
It should also go without saying that if you read the article, they do everything they can to somehow blame the President of the United States for the rise of the Alt-Left rather than pulling together its history, that distant and more recent. All the election of Donald Trump and his administration did was set off the already stockpiled dry timber. Now hopefully they will burn themselves out, with added aid from the government.
Which is where the infamous double standard comes from. No one is supporting the Neo-Nazis or actual white nationalists but themselves and their own, yet for a time somehow Antifa was viewed as a "force for good". It amuses me further that the actual domestic threat, the Alt-Left, which has not only greater numbers, organization, and activity, has also been given this much freedom despite being the very thing they claim to hate. There's a certain irony to attacking others with shields that read "NO HATE" and throwing deadly weapons at policemen while witch hunting bystanders because one thinks they support a "fascist President".
Against the provoking target at C10 (due to the change of positioning in the meta) the hunter will strike with an angled, downward blow of his greatsword. Assuming a 20 for the prepared attack of opportunity connects, it deals 10 slashing damage. Let me know if you need anything else too, @Hekazu.
@Hekazu, just move Brannor one square west. This isn't worth arguing about who was where or what after calling it. No less, I am not surprised at all that we are still waiting on others to post their grid location.
So, it seems that the Left-leaning Politico let this out and into the public today that Antifa is a domestic terrorist group based on classified material they obtained. Unsurprisingly, it details everything from how some are affiliated with the Islamic State, that there is a possible threat of their use of improvised explosive devices, to the fact that they are blatantly an anti-United States movement. No less, the key words of "medium confidence" are in place about their motives, meaning in layman's terms, they are fairly aware of who they are and the threat they represent. This is another one of those cases where "We warned you." should have been taken more seriously.
My personal opinion @IceHeart, is that they are only starting to turn on the Alt-Left, namely Antifa, because they are suffering damage or loss at their hands. It is becoming personal for them whereas before they were mostly left alone during the riots and protests; now, an emboldened Antifa is attacking anyone they suspect of guilt like a modern day mob. Perhaps the best comparison I have heard about this is how similar the echoes of mass hysteria are with those of the witch hunts.
Reporters and journalists are now just as much fair game as anyone else in the chaos. Why, one might ask? My theory is that Antifa by and large has no idea who is friend or foe. They do not exactly have any real training and are at best a moderately organized mob that is only now readily advancing in influence, number and coordination.
I sincerely doubt they are trying to turn over a new leaf for anything but their own gain and protection, hoping the foolish and uninformed continue to follow their Pied Piper call.
Brannor should be moving south from the north, off the map, to C12, @Hekazu. The intent is to still strike with an opportunity attack if the enemy provokes from him, favoring the man at D11 over other targets.
"Good idea! Quick and quite like a cat!" The gnome wizard replied, his back turned for the moment from Katia, not quite realizing what he had said until he turned heel to face her again. His mouth opened and he raised a finger before then pausing, clearly confounded by something, only to then lower it and carry on with his address; "Oh. Oh! That makes sense now! Birbin sees your game!"
He went on for a moment by himself, transitioning between the words "Katia" and "cat", mouthing them silently. It seemed as though the small outlandishly dressed man was not quite right in the head; more than a bit touched and perhaps verifiably insane as nothing about him seemed rational, as though he was an embodied extreme of what one thought a gnome to be. It was maybe this that unsettled the monk the most, that it was clear the little folk was likely as much a hazard as he was any boon. Whatever the case was with Birbin, the wizard was a far cry from the cunning and kind Haemar or the studious Wick she had so long traveled with to end up here - wherever here was.
Plodding along then, as they moved as subtly as they could thereon out, the front rank consisted of the slayer, their company and their own wizard. For one reason or another, the paladin had stepped back for reasons of her own; a quality not impossible to notice, but not immediately alarming. Just off, eclipsed only by whatever it was that Wick had done. That was what seemed strange. She had gained an odd air of morbidity about her that was... unexpected? Even for someone who delved into the more strange mysteries of the Light and the Darkness?
It added to the uneasy ambiance of the dawning hours, many corners of the wooden and stone buildings drenched in shadow on one half, the other exposed to welcoming light. Only twilight in this town was more uncomfortable, because at least with the night, one could only imagine the skittering darkness that wandered the streets, ready to devour another unwary soul. Day was safety, a welcome safety, like a great ball of eradicating might that would come to hang in the sky - how their hearts, deep within, longed for its familiarity.
After their approach however, nearing the strange and sizable Hall, they immediately noted with little effort the attempts by the darkness to breach its two large wood doors. As wide as two healthy men at the shoulder, each of these doors, they had many mars and marks upon their surface. Bits of splintered wood hung frayed from their faces, carved by what seemed to be swords, axes and any number of other weapons. From her advantageous height, Katia was not only the first to notice this, but to see what they had not seen before; the shadows, how they, as they appeared to be, were but inky spots of silhouettes on the ground.
Several of them laid in wait at the doors atop a small series of stairs, as flat as could be. To those below and some thirty paces away, they were impossible to bear witness to. That was how they seemed to rise up from the nothing and more eerily, it suggested that they in some way might be echoes of actual people themselves...
The party advances to the Hall, a longhouse dedicated to the heroes of the town. Despite Theodore's magical aura, it is Katia upon a rooftop a ways away who spots the enemy on the steps and around the building who could not otherwise be seen on foot. She can see three Shadows, three Shadow Soldiers, one Night Fury and some other, unclear shadow form that has no real distinct qualities.
