Zano was making sure he was out of the way when Arkadios spoke to him and nodded to Arkadios. "Yes, sir, and it will be done," he said in an affirmative tone. Now he can be useful, he thought as he went to gather a team to disconnect the cables. He may not seem like it, but he knows how an airship works and can actually show it.

Zano went down the airship, gathering those he could find and after getting a team together. He led the team down to the cables and went about disconnecting them one by one. It's a good thing he knows what he is doing, and though it may be his first time actually working on an airship. Zano does feel confident in himself despite that, more so after the pilot training with Itzi. It helped him and the fact that company was on their way, it made him motivated to get the airship up in the air but as safely as possible. He knows he has the time for that.

As the beam disappeared and only hitting one of the rangers, the green ranger. Uion would have expressed anger at this and target the red ranger who was looking after the fallen green ranger. But the sight of the blue ranger jumping down and charging him. It made Uion reconsider his actions and focus on the incoming threat first. "So you dodged my beam. Well, time to show you what else I have." Saying it in a clearly irritated tone. Taking out a one-handed axe and countered charged the blue ranger. "Face my axe!" He said in a threatening tone as he brought it down on her.

As Grydon went to inspect Ven. He would see that Ven was clearly alive yet injured and breathing hard. As Ven noticed that Grydon was checking him, he spoke. "Hey, did anyone else get hit? I... think I can still fight, but that beam really knocked me down, and my chest hurts." Ven briefly grabbing his chest for a moment and then went to grab his swords. "Help me up," Ven said in a determined yet pained tone as he tried to get up. "I am not out of this fight yet."

"The owner certainly looked traumatized from what had happened, and... yeah, I think I should go to another place if I want any baked goods for a while." Shame, he thought, the first bakery he goes to and it gets attacked by a monster. Bad timing, and Elijah wondered if the owner would serve any of them again. They may have saved the day, but something tells him that going back right now would not be the best call.

Still, Elijah is curious as to why that thing went after a bakery, and maybe it was after the owner, but why? He may try to investigate further, though it may be hard if the owner is not talking to him after the attack.

When Elena returned and Loni talked about her magic. It piqued Elijah's interest when she said she is a green and black lux user. He knows enough about lux to know what both mean and what they can do. In concert with each other, they can do some great things. Which explains her shield and how she made that thing weaker during the fight. "Your magic is useful, Loni, and you did what you could to protect others and your daughter." Sounding congratulatory and honest.

"Your magic does sound useful, Elena and not all magic is flashy. But it still gets the job down and gets results." Elijah sounding sincere.

Though about sharing details about himself. Elijah was wary of doing that with people he barely knows. Yes, they are Adepts and thus know about magic and whatnot. But strangers are still the same, and maybe he can share some knowledge of himself with them, given how open Loni was.

"Well, for me, I have already told Loni I live in the Southside, and I was not always a stabbing with a spear person. I am an Agent and I picked up the spear a while ago under... a not ideal circumstance, and it has been with me since. It was made by someone who wished to hunt the rare and exotic paranormal creatures and beings that he deemed worthy prey. I am not related to that person, but the spear has its own tricks that make it a good weapon for killing paranormals." There, he stopped and wondered if he should continue. After a moment, he spoke, "I do not hunt anything, but I know how to use it and fight with it. Which if you knew me, you would know I am more of a scholar than a fighter, but things change." Elijah's voice saddened a bit when he said those last words.

Elijah hoped that that was enough for now and his voice started to chipper up. "It is good to meet and know you two, but I think it may be time for me to leave unless either one of you has something you want to say or talk about?"

Lost and Forgotten: A Mentor's Legacy

Arthur Montgomery is a man known among the scientific and archaeologist community as a polarizing individual. While many would reflect positively on Arthur's dedication to discovering the truth about the past, most would negatively remark on his behavior in his later years. Seemly obsessed to prove his fringe theories about history that left him shunned from the scientific and archaeologist community. Labelling him as a conspiracy theorist and disapproving of anything that went against accepted knowledge about the past.

Did this deter Arthur? No, this only strengthened his resolve for Arthur is not crazy. He did discover something that suggested something else, a lost past, but the relic that indicated this was shattered into pieces and left useless after Arthur spent some time studying it. So, he used what was left of his family's fortune to uncover the truth.

Only Arthur is dead, he died of a heart attack, and now his work lies incomplete. But, in his will, he leaves his estate and his fortune not to his remaining family but to five people once they complete a task. These five people are those that Arthur took under his wing and had a good relationship with. The hope that Arthur has if he dies before he can unveil the truth that he was desperately seeking. That these five people can continue what he started and do what he could not.

Starting within his estate and dealing with an artifact that he was studying.

Overview

Hello and welcome to the rp. The rp is about a group of five, maybe six people who have opted to continue Arthur Montgomery's work and discover the lost past of the world. A lost history that few know about. So the rp will explore both real-world myths and homebrew custom ones. I should say that the rp is inspired by Indiana Jones, Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

Now, Arthur's estate will act as the base and home for the group and will be the place where the characters will spend their time in between treks and it is located in the United Kingdom, specifically in Bristol. Plus, this will be the place where the group's artifacts will be stored after a trek. As you will discover, Arthur before he died, installed an expensive security system at his home estate that would make any potential burglars think twice about trying to break in.

But as to your character's reason for continuing Arthur's mission. In the first arc, there will be an event that happens that will prove that Arthur's theories had merit, and they can come up with their own reasons for wanting to continue Arthur's mission after that.

Plus, while it is required that your character had a good relationship with Arthur and had been taken under his wing at some point in order to warrant him trusting your character with his mission. You can decide what exactly that means, as in how Arthur helped your character and what he did to make your character have a good relationship with him despite his reputation. Basically, why did he choose you to be in his will and think you could continue his mission.

Also, for your character's picture, go with a real-life face claim. No anime or drawn pictures.

Along with I am looking for a co-gm to help me with treks and what not. So if you interested just say something.

Backstory: Arnth Maza is a curious case, the first and only son of a Jedgorsy military officer and a Mittelvolk seamstress. While their marriage was a happy one and the family was a caring one. There was one fact that would make Arnth's life somewhat of a problem. His mother used to be a slave, and it turned out his father had spent quite a sum to free her from her elven master. While this did not matter to Arnth, it mattered to some around him. Most notably, the elves that live in his hometown.

Growing up, Arnth would do well with himself despite his status and under his father's care. He would learn the ways of war and was encouraged by his father to join the military. Which Arnth would decline at first as he wanted to see other options for himself. Though the bullying he received from his elven peers and seeing other enslaved humans made him angry, he was still a minor. There was little he could do about it, and his father would often say to try and ignore it. His mother, however, would secretly tell him to never forget this and remember that some of his family were still in chains, which Arnth took to heart.

When Arnth was old enough, he would, as his father wanted and join the military. With his father's wealth, Arnth managed to become an officer, and despite some initial problems, he managed to prove himself a capable officer. From there, he would rise in rank until he reached the high rank of general. However, despite knowing that he should be happy by becoming a general and making his father proud, Arnth felt empty even after being assigned a posting at a sizable but strategic border town called Ebengrenzstadt with three thousand troopers. This did not help, but he kept up the facade for his men. For he started to think about why he should support an empire that held his fellow humans as slaves and how unright it was. But he stayed loyal to the empire to a degree.

When the civil war started, Arnth kept tabs on either side. Waiting to see where he will get deployed if required. But, when he got word of the heirs to the Inburian Empire, who rose up and declared their intentions. This made Arnth think this could mean that enslaved humans could be free and remembering his heritage from his mother's side. A land could be gained for his people and after thinking about it and gauging the thoughts of his men. Arnth and his men defected from the empire and joined the Whites. Now, fortifying the town and securing their supplies. Arnth now awaits news from the Whites and is preparing for an attack that may come sooner or later.
