Name/Alias: William "Harbinger" Augustus
Species: Half-Umbra - Half Human
Species Lore : How exactly The Umbra first appeared is not known by most who've had the chance to interact with a Umbra. The Umbra are most myth than reality for most as the number of Umbra that took human or some other earthly form is lower than 1000 throughout human history. The truth of the matter is that once a few thousands a human is chosen to be transformed into a Umbra and then tasked to represent the Umbra race in their interests on Earth.
Umbra society is structured in a caste-like system with every Umbra having a place chosen from the start of their existence. The human chosen to represent the Umbra race is the only Umbra that is allowed any contact with humans or other supernatural creatures.
Throughout history people tell stories, that most don't believe, about the Grim Ripper, a creature made of shadows and bone that takes away the dead into the Afterlife or that he is the one that knows when you will die and comes to take you. As with all stories, there is some truth to them. The Harbinger is sent on Earth to carry missions for the Umbra, be them simply killing those that would get close to finding out the truth about the Umbra or simply kidnapping humans to be sent onto the Umbra dimension.
Faction: The Umbra
Biography: William Augustus was born in 130 BC and was a roman legionary until his death and transformation into "The Harbinger". Most of William's life is a misery for other and himself as when the transformation finished, most of his memories faded. The memory that was stuck on him is the most defining experience of his life.
While on a mission in Britannia following the rumors of Pict "black magic", his party and him followed the Pict priest deep in Pict territory and what they've found was something totally different. The last Harbinger was using the Pict as his personal army to weaken the Roman Empire's hold on Britannia and by doing this furthering the plan of the Umbra.
His party was slaughtered in a few moments by the "priest" but William was not about to be defeated by a mere "Pict" and by pure luck and a determination borne from a life in the Roman army, William did the impossible for a human and put his sword through the Harbinger's chest.
He smile and said to William a few words before the shadows the swirled around him entered William. The word were "Thank you. My torment ends. Yours begins. I'm sorr--".
From then on William served the Umbra without question, doing whatever they demanded from him.
In 600 AD, William was called upon by the Umbra into their world and was gifted new powers for his loyalty. When he came back to Earth, many years passed and the Crusades began.

Shadowshift : William shape-shifts from a human form to a Umbra form becoming invisible to the naked eye without a strong light-source. Staying in this form taxes William's willpower as the Umbra eats away at his mind until it kills him.
Enhanced Body: William's speed,reflexes,strength and regeneration have been enhanced beyond normal human capabilities.
Shadow Bolt: William concentrates his Umbra in his hand and fires it at a target. If the target is hit by the Umbra it will slowly start to fade away into nothing as the Umbra teleports the target to the Umbra dimension where it will be killed. The process can be interrupted of course, if the target's willpower withstands the Umbra's willpower.
Shadow Blade/Arrows/Bow: William's swords,arrows and bow do not have a physical form but instead are created by the Umbra inside him.
While making William appear unarmed and not dangerous, the weapons are made out of William's Umbra and 'thus are an extension of himself.
Shadow Walk: William becomes incorporeal and teleports a small distance, no matter what objects are in front of him. As long as he sees the destination, he can teleport there. (maximum 5 meters)
Shadow Tendrils (Ultimate Ability): Using the Umbra inside him, William concentrates into making 6 shadowy tendrils which can appear from anywhere that light doesn't shine. The tendrils themselves cannot be cut away without using a magical artifact of some kind. William tho' cannot protect himself while commanding the tendrils.
