What do you define as "so long"? I've been RPing for 3 years, give or take a few months. I've been in dozens of RPs but none of them lasted longer than a couple of months, at most. :'(

Heads up, I plan to get the IC started either thursday or friday, which should give time for those still making sheets and any new people that wish to join. WHen we start I won't close off the rp to newcomers howeve it would be awkward if other gods just 'showed up' late in the game.

New Gods could be born from a union of two existing gods, if we need to introduce a new character.

Most gods of magic in mythology have more than magic as their domain. I'm thinking of adding wisdom to my Domains.

Nah, but I'm doing it right now. I got my appearance, personality, and domain done. Still working on the rest.

I take a lot of time when I write and I get all obsessive because I want to make it PERFECT.

@dragonmancerMy idea for the "eldest" thing is that he remembers a time before any of the other (currently present) gods existed. Something like a "first generation" god, and is perhaps the last member of their kin.

The omnipotence would work exactly like this: he knows everything. He doesn't know the future, but every piece of information that currently exists in the world is in his possession.

Though he's generally an observer, he takes action when he deems it necessary, and acts swiftly and decisively. Perhaps at some point in the past he acted by "taking the mind" of another god, essentially lobotomizing them.

You sound like you're trying to make your character unequivocally stronger, older, and smarter than all others. I don't think there's a justification for this.

I propose the god's realm is called Aeterna.

I really like your God. He doesn't demand any special, complex ritual worship, and he isn't declaring war on the land or anything like that. He just wants to sit at the bottom of his damn ocean and screw with sailors.

That would be great, actually, since my Goddess is more focused on the instinctive and "natural" kind of magic, rather than intelligence or knowledge.

I already called dibs on Magic, several pages ago, and me and ActRaiser already worked out a system of magic that this God breaks. And we already have someone who's domain is mind, and I think that includes thought.

I like it a lot overall, but one issue: if she's the Goddess of the mind, shouldn't she also be somewhat of a patron to scholars and intellectual types? Afterall, they use their mind more than anyone.
