Matthew's ears perked up as Colby asked about the potential to have powers. It certainly was an inticing idea. Being trained by the great Wizard Merlin in magic, learning to fight with a sword by Lancelot, taught roguish swashbuckler ways of Flynn Rider, the list went on. Tinker's answer didnt help to stave that imagination either, saying that some had powers lying dormant within themselves; possibly due to the fact that they were in a land with little to know magic. Once they reached a stop light, Maddy leaned back as Tinker reached into the glove box and pulled out some photographs of them and the others growing up. It was a bit Big Brother and a lot creepy, but to an extent it was comforting to see someone had been looking after them all this time. He saw the image of Megan and thought to himself "Found Maleficents daughter" as he shuffled the image to the bottom of the pile.

It was a fun excersise trying to figure out who belong to who based solely on imagery alone. Shifting from image to image, shuffling them back and forth as he started being able to match each photo with their respective lineage. He wasnt fully sure on if he got them all right as the gears in his mind kept on turning. Without looking up at Tinker he was about to say that he was fine when suddenly his stomach began to growl. "I think food sounds amazing right about now, what do you think Colby?" He turned to smile at the boy and then went back to pouring over the images of strangers whose paths theyd sooner cross.

Demetri caught Ezekiels hand beginning to move, wondering what the boy blunder would do next. Suddenly he could see a pale light hitting his face and then shining against his eyes. It wasnt exactly blinding or anything which made Demetri wonder if straight laced was flirting. His hand moved down towards his pocket, reaching for his phone with the intent to shine a light back when a thought crossed his mind. Was now the best time? He opted not to pull his phone out, simply sticking his tongue out before turning to speak to the others near him. There was a daughter of Hecate, she looked rather cool and her vibe was...relaxed? Dead? Hard to tell but she was definitely calmer than most of the campers he had met so far.

Demetri wasnt sure what he should bring to Camp Jupiter. Nor was he really sure what to expect. From the sounds of it, he had thought them to be some rival camp, one that wouldnt willingly accept them and may cause a fight if called for. Perhaps it was more of a friendly rivalry instead? Regardless of the fact, he knew he would bring some weapons along with him, not as a show of force but as a means of protection against the monsters they may encounter along the way. He looked over towards Andy, rubbing his ear where his earring hung, and wondered of this may be too dangerous for her...for Arthur. The death of Ash was fresh in their minds and it could lead to hesitation in battle which could lead to death. But that just means that he needed to keep a closer eye on them while they were out.

Salem kept his head down, not daring to make eye contact with the Princess. Part of him wanted to ignore Aaron's advice, believing that such tactics made him appear guilty when he wasn't. But just because someone didn't like the advice given didn't mean it wasn't good advice. He didn't speak to the Princess, not sure if her addressing the room counted as reason for him to able to speak. His eyes darted over to Max, who for the most part appeared to be following the same terms of ettiquite that Aaron had laid out for him. His question was sound and Salem couldn't help but wonder if they would use mind magic for interrogation. His hand reached up behind his neck and began to rub it gently, thinking back to the dinner and how unpleasant that experience was. His eyes glanced about the room, avoiding the Princesses gaze as he saw the books she offered as reading as well as the decorations around her office. Finally his eyes landed on Eris as he spoke, head now lower than before as he caught the meaning behind his words.

If word were to get out that Salem was involved in a murder, then surely Lady Sinnenodel would have the investigation closed, using this as evidence that he was clearly part of the Red Hand. Why hadn't he stayed with Lily? Or gone back to Aaron? This all became a fine mess but surely if he complied then they could see his innocence and move everything forward. Eris and Ryner seemed to have a handle on managing the whispers that could arise, and Salem was curious as to how efficiently the could do such a thing. Could he scrub Salems name from this mess? Muddle it? Or at the very least stop it from reaching the Lady of Aaron's new house. He wished to ask the Princess a question, yet he didn't want to interrupt the pair while discussing deals. He'd wait, and listen.

As Max listened to Emma speak, he noticed a shadowy figure lurked beneath the chaise she sat upon. It came out and hissed at Emma, then Leighton, but seemed to be unbothered by Max's presence. Maybe the cat was trying to warn him of Emma's bad blood? Or perhaps it was afraid from being down here. He thought back to the many jarred and preserved bodies of oddities that littered the entrance of this place and looked at the three eyed cat with concern. "Poor dear, did Shaw and his nasty men try to experiment on you? Well, regardless of the fact we don't his at strangers ok? We aren't like some people I won't mention. Let's see if you have a name." Max knelt down and looked for a name tag, finding no collar or anything resembling such, he decided to make one for the black cat. Its gender wasn't abundantly clear like most cats, so he went for a gender neutral name. The cosmic swirls wrapping around its furry black neck until a silver collar appeared with a silver trimmed raven pendant with black enamel and the name Raven written in white gold.

Max smiled at Leightons words and was more tham glad that she had felt this way. She could've simply asked him to leave or to let her go, but no, she was willing to walk this road with him side by side. Max looked at Emma once more, he needed to know more but he wasnt a telepath nor and Empath. Intuition was all he had and he would have to rely on it now more than ever. She felt honest, forthright, but only about what she was saying. There was something she was hiding, something she clearly didnt want him to know. Would it be any different if it was just Leighton? "If Leighton is willing to trust you than so will I. She doesn't need me to protect her, shes strong in her own right, but i cannot simply abandon her...I know what that's like. I also know what it's like to have family turn on you. I'll be keeping a critical eye on you if you dont mind, but i agree to see your side of things. After all every story has three sides." Max looked around at his attire and decided a change was in order, creating a stark white suite to compliment Emma's many white outfits.

Jinx was more than pleased with himself as he watched the effects of his powers latching onto them. They seemed confused, disoriented, and had no idea how to combat it. And that, that was exactly how he liked it. Chaos pure and simple, was an efficient way to fight, because if your opponent didnt know what to do to stop it, then there was hardly anything they could do. That is, except for fire more arrows at you it seemed. Hawkeye aimed his bow and show two arrows, each missing Jinx as he stood there taking pride in what he'd done, the flames now starting to grab his attention and singe away at him as he realized the situation at hand. A third arrow was cast and this one seemed to meet its mark, tasing Jinx harder than he'd expected. Was it because of his weakened state from the fire? Maybe it made him a bit sensitive to the shock but it coursed through him as he felt the numbing sensation fill his body, allowing him to ignore the burning for a moment longer.

That moment was all he needed. One final push to turn the tide of this battle. It was a long shot, but if it landed, boy would they be screwed. Jinx didn't speak, just looked onwards as he sent out one final curse to the group before him, one that would cause all of their psionic blockers to malfunction and break allowing Anastasia to get a clean shot at them. He tried to focus, but they seemed to multiply. Two, no three times the amount of soldiers now. He'd have to hit them all. Casting his wide net Jinxs vision pulsed, going yellow, then black before he finally fell back and hit the floor. He managed to get one final sentence out before finally fall unconscious. "Ana...sorry..."

The exchange between the padjal and pink haired Lalafell was...unique to say the least. Did it truly matter if one could rent a body? Or how it was done? It had nothing to do with the current predicament and every second wasted in this god forsaken desert was another moment where he was away from the flats of Cartaneu. But River did suppose that these were small steps towards getting him closer to his goals. No sooner had their stray thoughts emerged than they had gone away, like wind disappearing foot prints in the Thanalans desert. Good. Now to get back to busine- oh? It appeared that the pink haired Lalafell has decided to barge in on their miqote friend without any assistance. That is, unless they were to hear a commotion stir up. River began to follow close by, preferring to wait outside the doors, ear pressed against the wood as he listened in on what was being said. It appeared that all this time spent with the Tillman gave J'torha little information besides what Kajin had just dug up.

Good, the Tilman was smart enough to know when he has been outmatched and outnumbered. Perhaps this would teach that scum of Thanalan not to mess with a guild in the future, keep his sights set low and ensure there wouldnt be numbers behind the theft. River leaned back against the wall of the building, looking up upon the expansive blue sky as the sun burned bright and a few aviary beasts flew above them. He took a deep breath, feeling the heat enter his lungs and some dust fill his throat before coughing a bit and reaching for some water. This was far from his sea salty air and humid atmosphere. The breeze carried relief but it didn't bite like Limsa's. Finally he looked dead ahead "I believe they have it under control. Let's go guard that the caravan he was selling out of, make sure no more of these swindlers get their hands on any items with they're soft paws." River could hear Lyveva excitedly speaking of a potential fight, and he would be lying if he said he didn't itch for one as well.

Matthew began to wonder about each child that was mentioned, who they could be within their town, had he known them in the orphanage or did their paths never cross? How old were all these kids and how exactly would they appear back in Arcadia? Colby was the child of Chesire, yet he looked nothing like a cat; though his mannerisms are very much akin to one. If one is half mermaid did that make them one quarter fish? Could they swap from land to sea and gain fins? Or did they simply gain gills to help them breathe? The son of Arthur must be some cool jock guy who's good at everything. Of that much he was certain. Rumplestiltskins child...was it truly his? Or one stolen from another? Were they as mischievous and cunning? The mere idea of having to care for the hair of Rapunzels kid was...exhausting. His own hair was a mess itself and it probably paired no one near in comparison to hers.

His mind continued to wander around and think of all the possible traits and personalities of each and every child. Whether he may get along with them or simply keep arms distance. It's true that they weren't raised by their parents, but perhaps some of those traits carried on. After all if people can travel dimensions and turn into dragons, why couldnt blood hold more magic than what is known on earth? Maddy wasn't quite sure how he felt about the fact that time moved slower in Arcadia. Faster he could deal with, he has a job after all, but slower...he could be leaving Carroll alone for months without even knowing it. How could he be so selfish? They need him back at the shop and may not be able to suffice being down a person. But this is his parents they're talking about...but is it truly worth it? Maddy began to bite his lower lip as he thought on, weighing the sense of adventure, magic, and wonder, to his loyalty and duty to his job and customers.

Demetri stood up straight, wobbling a bit on his way up, as he wiped off the vomit from his chin with the sleeve pulled over back of his hand. "Thanks, but it wasn't your running or speed that did this. I just got one good look at Zeke and couldn't help but toss up what little lunch I had. A common symptom of looking at his face I'm sure." Demetri stuck his tongue out at Zeke before finally turning his attention over towards Chiron. He assumed he knew what the mandatory meeting was all about, the news he had broken to both Hermes cabin and Isis cabin. There appeared to be much more to it than that however. The first matter of business was Ash's death, the circumstances surrounding it, and what appeared to be an ongoing investigation, as well as the funerary services being put in place. As Chiron spoke, Demi wanted to just become invisible. Hide somewhere where he could pretend that these events hadnt happened, but something stuck out to him, a detail no one had mentioned until now. It was her skull that had slain her. He thought back to the black tablet that Thanatos had and how he mentioned it wasnt his time yet. Was it her time? Or was this just as unexpected. He should've asked. But if that skull could be controlled from Tartarus then that could offer up am explanation.

The next order of business had brought upon the Oracle of the camp. She prophesied of the three families whose children were chosen for the mission, and Demetri couldn't help but roll his eyes. He firmly believed him, Mona, and Leda could do a kick ass team. Really him and Mona would make a great team with anyone, but he wasn't sure if Andy was ready for a mission just yet. They hadn't quite spoken much on that subject but perhaps it was time to do so. His mind snapped back to the mission at hand, journeying to find the mother of monsters Echidna and soothe her. Another string to potentially tie towards chatters the skull. After all if you're feeling wrathful, who better than a child of the big three? Why couldnt he be chosen? Was it not his time? That question was soon answered as they pressed on to the final topic. A mission to Camp Jupiter. It was a calmed way of stating what Demetri had told them, but a smart way. This was where he was needed, being the one who spoke to Thanatos directly, he was sure it would help sway the other camp. After all Thanatos essentially works for his uncle, so.

Max still felt very uneasy about all this. He was new to this world, and media did tend to warp perspectives to fit their own narrative and this could be nao different. Was Emma Frost actually one of the good guys? And if her partnership with Shaw truly has ended, then why is she here in one of his facilities? There was still so much that he didnt understand, and the visions of what they had done to an X-men, Nightcrawler, it wasn't right. However if she was telling the truth then that meant that she had nothing to do with the hound project, and Shaw was the only one to blame. He clenched his fists as he looked onwards towards Emma, taking in all that she had to say.

There were still more questions that he had, and he looked towards Leighton before speaking up. "If you knew that he was profiting from this war then why not stop him? Hes hurting countless mutants through both his own hands as well as with the war in which hes profiting from. If you say that our perception of you is flawed then help correct it. What exactly is it that you do? And if you're not aligned with Shaw anymore than why are you here? Well as here as you are that is. I don't see how you can speak of peace when these hounds are running around, hurting inside as well as others."

Peej was getting more annoyed at the constant picking that these so called heros were doing. He felt the breeze blow by as an arrow narrowly missed hitting him. Hawkeye called it a warning shot, but wasnt that just a waste of limited ammunition that he had? Pathetic, but if it'll help weaken him further then he could take as many warning shots as he would like. Flynn spoke up next, launching a ball of fire as Jinx felt the heat against his skin from the miss. If he caught on fire one more time oooooo boy they were gonna get it. First that bratty blonde, now Jercules? Another shot flew towards him, his feet stumbling slightly as he began to catch on fire. The flames that licked his clothing hurt, but his desire to defeat these lame-o's was greater. Hopefully Anastasiacould kick some dirt on him to put him out. "Didn't your parents ever teach you to not play with fire?" He said as he wagged a finger towards the man. Jinx pulled out one of his guns and handed it to Anastasia, if her powers weren't working then at least she could shoot a fucker.

Jinx didn't say much as he handed the gun to her, keeping his eyes fixated on the enemies while he did so. "Oooooh I see, I think I get it now. Here let me try it out." A wide grin spread across his face as two pink bolts formed in his hands. PJ simply shrugged his shoulders as he laid a nasty Jinx on the whole squadron of Agents. Each one would begin to feel the dizzying effects of a drunken stupor, They would feel as if they were drunk themselves. He launched one towards Hawkeye, missing, then another at Flynn, also missing. "I see, so you see those were warning shots. Oh, and that feeling your might start to get. That's not a warning shot. Feeling threatened now? Ksenia, Valentine, let's wrapped this up shall we? Dispose of the flaming blunder over there but dont kill him; thatd just be a waste of meat."

"Family isn't about your blood. That's something I learned a while ago, it's about those who care for you and lift you when you need it the most. I'll stand by Leighton whether you want me to or not Frost. Sorry not sorry." Max looked at Leighton, his eyes were intense, conflicted, but showed every sign of having her back no matter how she needed it. He then turned to Havok, his voice stern as he kept his eyes on Emma Frost. "I can handle thia from here, there are others that need help, go find Veil and Glimpse, they'll need your help to bust down the other doors."
Havok frowned slightly, but he nodded at Max . "Be safe, man - and like I said... Emma's a snake." He then left the room, running down the hallway in the direction he came from. As soon as Havok had left, Max looked Emma's astral forms up and down, weighing the words she had spoken and taking a critical eye to everything she would say as well. So far she seemed forthright and honest, which made him begin to wonder why she was the enemy.

Max made his way over to two ottomans and pulled them closer to Leighton, placing them next to each other so that they could each sit as she spoke. "I'm here for you Leighton, if you want to hear her out we will...together." he gave her a warm smile before turning a cold stare back onto the woman who had attacked them previously. No, that was wrong, the woman who had defended herself from Sapphires attack previously. He didn't like the situation they were in, but he wouldnt abandon Leighton. "Speak your piece or forever hold your tongue Emma Frost. I wish to hear about this so called paradise, your plans for it, and how it will involve other mutants. Particularly the ones who may not agree with your methods."

Jinx dramatically put a hand to his chest as Bonnie practically gagged at his words, bantering back by tell Flynn that he could do better than him. "You wound me-" The arrows came flying at Jinx, knocking him square in the chest and tasing him onto the ground. There was a rush of electricity coursing through his body, his muscles spasming as the contracted and forced his hands and arms to curl in a bit as he shook on the ground. For a moment he wondered if this was how that human felt, the one he had Jinxed so long ago in the rain causing a bolt of lightning to strike him and his umbrella. There was however less scent of burning flesh this time around. As soon as the spasm ended he could see Hawkeye Jr reaching for the others hand. How cute, she actually believed she could absorb powers still. Luckily Jinx was still a ditzed from the shock therapy to laugh at her.

As he lay there he just though to himself wiggle your big toe. Wiggle your big toe. Unfortunately to no avail. He grumbled in aggravation as he tried to get himself back up again. Hearing the hottie say that his clothes were all about to burn off. Now that was a pleasant sight he needed to see. Jinx mustered up all his strength and fought through the taser, getting back on his feet as he looked at the "heros" "You actually wounded me. Now that's rude! Here we are being non hostile and you're off shooting and flaming on and oh hey hottie look at that chest hi." Jinx sent one of his curses over towards Hawkeye, trying to get him to become a bit more clumsy with his weapons but it appeared that it didnt quite land. It was then he heard the Three in One mention the psychic blockers and Anastasia suggesting they remove them. What a frag. "You wanna play hard ball? I'm game." Jinx launched two bolts, one from each hand, towards Hawkeye, attempting to blast out the wretched things. Only to miss wildly. "That was a warning shot for you to back off"
