Based in the world of Epithet Erased (or Anime Campaign if that name rings more bells), this RP will be as ridiculous as it is bizarre. For those unaware, Epithet Erased is a cartoon web-series involving a worldwide phenomenon known as Epithets; words written on people's very souls that let them do damn near anything. Words such as "Punch", "Blockade", "Jousting", or "Soup"... the Inscribed can have anything as their Epithet. Then there are the Mundies, the regular folk who have to go above and beyond to get an edge in against those with Epithets.
Crazy powers, crazier people, and the craziest happenstances await, in Awful Midnight Poetry!
This is definitely more of a gathering of interest than most, as I'm still working on the details, both mechanically and thematically, and hope to work out at least some of it with anyone who decides they want a piece. Here's what you CAN expect... or at least what I'm currently thinking of having you expect:
- A story involving cryptic and poorly-written poems, a fanatic cult devoted to those very scribblings, and a lot of people very interested in why.
- A tone that's three parts goofy, one parts serious, and two halves of a whole.
- Gamey mechanics inspired by the RPG that inspired the show. Level up, get better, and don't die, all with numbers attached!
- At least one talking animal, guaranteed.
- Freedom of character - be as faithful to your Epithet or don't, or be a Mundie entirely! Don't like your character or itching for a new face? Feel free to make a newbie between chapters!
Hope this is enough of a hook to nab a fair few folks, even with the holiday season upon us. Any questions can obviously be asked and probably be answered, so if you want to know more about either this thread specifically or what it's based off of, feel free!
