Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

@easy modo: We have a winner!

You win, um...

... Um...

... Give me a moment I'll think of something.
@ERode: Pfffffft. Oh god.

What's actually kind of going on here is tied into Japanese mythology and Shinto concepts, actually... Maybe I should tell @Cherrywitch at least. ^^;
Wait, waiting on at least @easy modo. D:

... For now, anyone got any idea exactly why darkness made a giant evil teddy bear?
I think everyone's posted again by this point?

I'm pretty eager to post again but I'm double checking. ^^;
I'm interested, even if I am running one myself, depending on how the plot goes.
@PaulHaynek: Hmm. I'd have to see the OOC first to see if there's anything I'd like to suggest. ^^;
@PaulHaynek: Ohh, I see. Then if it's more fleshed out I'm definitely interested.

For that it'd be up to you, I think it's slightly restrictive but yeah.
@PaulHaynek: To be honest, the types I'm most partial to at the moment are "help" and "game". I'm not opposed to "taskforce" though, but I'd like one of those setups a bit more.

This might be because last time I tried the "taskforce" setup it lead to a personally exhausting experience for me GMing-wise. ^^;
@PaulHaynek: At least no gag characters.

As for the multiversal stuff, that relates strongly to what kind of premise we go with. The way I see it premises for this kind of thing tend to work out in a few different ways:

The "help" type: Where someone summons people from other worlds to help them, possibly sending them to different universes to accomplish something or fight an enemy.

The "taskforce" type: The characters, or at least roughly half, are all part of a multiversal organization and work to accomplish things for them, such as protecting worlds or hunting down threats.

The "game" type: A powerful being summons people from other worlds to compete in some kind of game, that possibly involves multiversal travel.
@PaulHaynek: I'd say that if a character is purely comedic to the point of being considered a "gag" they're not viable for a crossover RP.

As for the players, I'd say they should be from any franchise provided it's not going to be just... like, a pure gag thing I guess? ... I suppose I'd also recommend not like signing up, say, Lucky Star characters or something.

OCs being allowed would be nice for me at least. ^^;
