Your time is precious, so spend it wisely and with those who care for you.
Important NPCS: [This list will update as the RP progresses.]
1: ONI Member Jen Pierce - In charge of insuring that the Celestian and her crew receive their assignments and carry them out to the letter. She is the Celestians contact between the rest of ONI / UNSC and will pass any important information along.
2: Captain Nickolas Colistis - The Captain of the Celestian. He is in charge of all forces upon the heavily modified Phoenix Class Cruiser.
3: Alyn - The Celestians advanced artificial intelligence, she helps not only run systems upon the Celestian but can also aid Spartans upon the field of battle.
The sound of hastened footsteps echoed through the dimly lit halls of the command deck of the UNSC’s new heavily modified Phoenix-Class Support vessel, the Celestian. A female figure wearing the typical black and grey uniform of an ONI officer gracefully dodged her way past staff and other shipmates, while very carefully carrying a small, square shaped data-pad under her left arm. This woman, who would normally stand out anywhere else outside of the ship, quickly found the Captain who spent most of his time at the Bridge of the Celestian. “Captain Colistis.” The woman’s powerful voice pierced through the sound of random chatter and the ambient noises of numerous electronic devices upon the bridge. “I have a message, for your eyes only.”
Taking a few short steps forward, she outstretched her arm and offered the data pad to Captain Colistis. The Captain carefully took the data-pad from the ONI Officer with his right hand and then used his left hand to swipe across the devices surface. It would quickly power on once his identity had been verified. Upon its screen would appear a high priority message from high ranking ONI Member Jen Pierce. Apparently, she had classified information for his eyes only, and was requesting his assistance with a very sensitive assignment that would be discussed more in his personal quarters.
With an almost inaudible hiss of pressure being released from somewhere inside of the doors mechanisms, the door to Captain Colistis’s private quarters shut closed behind him after he had stepped inside, locking itself securely. The interior of the Captains quarters was not only much larger than other ships, but had been custom outfitted with whatever Colistis desired. One of the many perks of being the first Captain upon the Celestian. After taking a moment to ensure that he looked as professional as possible, he connected into the private video chat that the high ranking ONI member had set up for their very confidential communications. The image of a female wearing what appeared to be the same uniform as the ONI officer who had informed him of this conversation, appeared on a massive screen that covered most of the wall that made up the very rear of the room.
“Good evening Captain Nickolas Colistis. I hear you were put in charge of the newest Phoenix Class Cruiser that has come out of Oria armory. How are you adjusting to the Celestian?” This woman spoke in an emotionless tone, hiding her true intentions, and if she even cared about what he thought of the new ship. Something always felt off about talking to ONI Personnel, but they had helped create the magnificent ship he was now fully in charge of. He knew better though, if ONI wanted their expensive toy back, he would be moved elsewhere.
“I was given a full tour of the ship and will admit that it is a beauty and technological marvel across all aspects. I am honored to have the chance to command her and her crew. The ships AI has been extremely helpful as well. It can run most of the ships functions by itself and even be in multiple places at once. I was unaware that a ships AI could be tied to someone’s suit while also assisting with a ships day to day functions.” In truth, Captain Colistis had heard about this technology but had never seen it firsthand. He was sure that Dr. Catherine Halsey was largely to thank for this innovation.
“I’m glad to hear it Captain Nickolas Colistis, the UNSC and ONI as a whole have put a lot of trust into you and the crew of that ship. Speaking of which, we should start discussing why I wanted to talk to you in the first place.” Jen Pierce appeared to lean back in the chair she was sitting in, her figure vanishing for a moment then reappearing on the screen. Wherever she was, the room she was sitting in had very little light in it. “Let me start by asking, do you know of the Erathellian system?”
“Yes Ma’am, it is what some would call a newly colonized system near the outskirts of the Milky Way. The system is known for a number of important things, such as a UNSC high-orbital Star-Ship facility, UNSC training grounds, the human colonization movement, and the large ONI facility upon the main world Solares. I hear it has become quite a popular location to live at. I am sure you already know I grew up upon Solares, that I learned all I know about the UNSC from within their academies, and that I learned how to become the star-ship captain I am today, from this system.” Captain Colistis let his mind wonder, thinking back to those times that seemed almost a life time ago.
“I am indeed aware of these things and more. You have quite the impressive track record as well. What I am mostly surprised about is the fact that you turned down the chance to become a Spartan. You took part in the battle upon Earth when New Mombasa was attacked, fought the covenant upon their own ships and held your own against overwhelming odds more than once across multiple planets. We honestly thought that you would welcome the chance, but as we can both see, you went another way and have proven to be even more than what we once thought.” Jen paused for a moment, crossing her arms over her chest, then spoke once more.
“I trust in your abilities completely and so do many of the others. Due to this fact, we have decided to inform you of the fact that your home system is under-attack by what appears to be a splinter group of the covenant. We have very little information into what happened and what is currently going on. As to why I contacted you, I am sure you are now aware of. We want you and the Celestian to head to the Erathellian Solar System and report back any findings from the surface of Solares. With this information, we will form a forward plan of attack and act upon it the way we see fit.”
“Why would a splinter group from the covenant attack that system? Do they even have the resources to make an invasion? What would they possibly want to accomplish by attacking us?” asked the Captain, it was clear he was trying to find a logical reason for what was happening but could not find one as of the moment. “I accept the assignment and will brief the crew as soon as we are finished here. I know a group of Spartans who are perfect for this assignment.”
“I have more information that I will clear for you at a later date, for now though, carry out your orders. I will be in contact with you soon enough. Remember, this is a very delicate assignment, and not only I but many others are trusting in you and your crew to get it done.” With those final words, the transmission was cut and the screen now showed the UNSC and ONI logo.
For a short moment, Captain Colistis was alone with his thoughts as he planned his next move. He swiftly came to a conclusion and made his way to the bridge of the ship, picking up the small microphone that would allow him to speak to all those aboard his ship at once. “Crew of the Celestian, I have just received word that the Erathellian Solar System is currently under attack by an unknown splinter group of the covenant. I will not lie to you, the casualties are high and all messages coming from the planet have ceased. I do not know what we will find when we arrive but together, we will put an end to these hostiles and secure the system once more, enabling the future for our loved ones and our species.” There was a pause while the Captain placed the microphone back on its dock. Walking over to the command table in the middle of the room, a holographic image of the system they were heading to now appeared.
“Captain, our path to the Erathellian Solar System has been plotted. I will commence Slip-Space travel in thirty seconds.” The ships advanced AI known as Alyn, had appeared in full form next to Captain Colistis. This AI had the appearance of a female Spartan in Mjolnir Mark VII Powered Assault Armor without a helmet and stood at roughly the normal height of one as well. The holographic image was so life like that many had mistaken her for an actual human. She had managed to cause slight panic as well to new crew members upon the ship when she would simply vanish from existence.
Carefully, she placed her right hand upon the Captains left shoulder, a look of concern spread across her face. “Captain Colistis, are you alright? I know this is your home system and I understand how difficult this must be for you. Please know that I am always here if you need someone to talk to.” There would be no reply.
It has been five long and turbulent years since the end of the Human and Covenant war that brought humanity to the brink of extinction. While we did achieve our ultimate victory with the combined forces of the UNSC and the Covenant Separatists, new and unprecedented threats have presented themselves across the Milky Way Galaxy. We are faced with the constant threat from these new hostile forces that formed not only after but also before the fall of the Covenant Empire. A number of these hostiles are Splinter groups made up from the remnants of the Covenant. They continue to attack and harass our colonies even after the cease-fire was signed, and a truce had been enacted.
As each day goes by, they are becoming more audacious, attacking whole planets instead of picking off small colonies. Something or someone has emboldened them, and now has the undivided attention of the Office of Naval Intelligence. While our information about these attacks are limited at the best, we may have the opportunity to find out exactly what is happening. The ONI Deep Space facility known as Raven, picked up a distress message two hours ago coming from the Erathellian Solar System. The message was traced back to the systems home planet known as Solares.
This planet holds significant importance to the Office of Naval Intelligence, being the staging ground for a number highly important and secretive projects that could prove disastrous, if they fell into the wrong hands. The simple fact that this splinter group of the Covenant could destroy the systems orbital defenses and then break through to Solares with ease, has left many individuals worried. All messages coming from the system have ceased, leaving the UNSC and ONI in the dark. It is clear now what we must do, for not only the UNSC and ONI, but also humanity as a species. If we simply ignore this significant event, many other worlds may fall to whatever hostile force or forces that are carrying out these organised and seemingly planned attacks.
I have been instructed to contact Nickolas Colistis, Captain of the heavily modified Phoenix-Class Support vessel known as the Celestian and issue him orders to investigate the Erathellian Solar System. More details will of course follow once they approach the system, but they cannot be repeated here in my personal journal. For all of our sake, I hope that this situation can come to a swift and reasonable ending.
Hello everyone, and thank you for your interest in Halo: The Erathellian Incursion. As stated above, this is a complete reboot of an old RP that I very much wanted to give another try at. Before we get into the details of the RP, there are a few things I would like to point out. First off, this RP takes place shortly after the events of Halo 4, and will eventually branch into Halo 5 down the line. However, due to the controversial lore of Halo 5, I will be mostly avoiding it and using my own custom lore for the story.
If you are unfamiliar with the lore from any of the Halo games, you have no reason to worry. I have created a detailed lore section for those who may need to catch up on all that has happened. I am also happy to answer any questions that any of you may have.
Unlike some of the other Halo RP's I have seen in the past, we will be playing as a squad of Spartan-IV's who have their own strengths and weaknesses. Even though we are elite soldiers, that does not make us invincible. We can still be severely wounded or even killed in battle. It is very important to remember that when heading head first into a combat situation.
Our story begins upon the the heavily modified Phoenix-Class Support vessel known as the Celestian. Each of us will be playing as a Spartan-IV, within the squad known as Onyx. This team of Spartans is known for being the first upon the ground in almost all situations. They are highly skilled in reconnaissance and combat, and are always ready for what may come next. Leading Team Onyx is Commander Aviza Morgenstern, the first Spartan to set foot upon the Celestian and one with an impressive combat record as well.
The Celestian and her crew will be taking part in a normal routine assignment near the Hawking Eta arm of the Milky way when we receive a highly confidential message. The contents of this message will send us on a new mission, one that could effect not only humanity, but all other sentient species in the galaxy. It will be up to the crew of the Celestian to confront this assignment head on.
During our journey through the Erathellian Solar System, we will be forced to overtake great challenges that will test our characters fortitude. We will face off against a number of hostiles, both familiar and some unfamiliar. Each planet we visit will have its own unique ecosystem and story, forcing us to adapt to the changes while overcoming whatever may lay ahead of us. The Erathellian solar system holds many secrets, some that we could benefit from, and others that should never be discovered. Not all of our interactions shall be solely combat based, though. We can expect there to be down time for each of our characters to get to know each other, hopefully forming a more powerful bond.
Any good UNSC ship has an Artificial Intelligence helping behind the scenes, and the Celestian is no different. The only difference between the Celestians AI and others, are three simple facts. The AI Alyn has the ability to appear as a fully formed female human in Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor anywhere on the ship at any time. Not only can this AI connect with someones Mjolnir Powered Assault Armor, but it can also do so while helping assist with the Celestians facilities. When in full form, Alyn appears so life like that new members of the Celestians crew have mistaken her as a real person.

Thank you all once again for taking the time to read though all of this and I hope to see you in the RP! Remember, if there are any questions, I am happy to answer them for you!
"Not all Techpriests follow the Mechanicus's directives to the letter. Some follow more after Belisarius Cawl, he is what you would consider very much more the inventive type, after all. Regardless, the Mechanicus owes a number of favors to the Inquisition. The finer details are nothing for you to be concerned about. Turn your focus upon the mission, where it should have been in the first place." Vala should have been thanking the emperor that Celestian Superior Aviza had even responded to her question. In truth, the knowledge that everyone in the aircraft now knew, could place them in a very difficult situation if they went around talking about it. Hopefully Aviza's reply would staisfy the Tech-heretics curiosity and there would be no more comments or questions in regards to the Typhon.
"Typhon of docking bay AS-383, you are clear to depart." The computerized voice that came from the com built into the Typhons cockpit could easily be heard over all of the electronic and mechanical background noise that surrounded them. Aviza had already prepped the Typhon for departure before hand, allowing the ship to gently but swiftly depart from Ramilies Class Star-fort Hydra. As they ventured out into the empty and seemingly infinite vastness of space, the Typhons artificial gravity enablers would instantly switch on, allowing for a much for comfortable ride. They all knew that comfort was very rarely found within the daily lives of those who fought for the Imperium of man. There were much more important areas for those resources to be spent on.
"Our estimated time of arrival is in ten minutes, which gives me plenty of time to give all of you more information about the situation at hand. As I am sure you already know from the basic mission briefing, we are the head forces for the Erathellian campaign, within the Sopron Solar System. What you were not informed about is the fact that we will be rooting out Chaos infiltrators that have taken root someone upon the Capital Planet Erebus. This planet serves as the hub of the system, has a number of important locations, and houses a number of very high ranking officials within the Imperium of Man. If these members of Chaos should sucsesfully infiltrate the system and carry out what we expect to be a setting stone for a full invasion from within, the repercussions could ripple through the Imperium of man, in many severe and untold ways. We must act very cautiously from here on out, letting the local population know or even think we were here for more than the false flag story that was set up, will jeopardize the whole mission."
Celestian Superior Aviza would pause for a short moment, her hands interacting with a number of controls throughout the cockpit before speaking once more. "I am sure there are questions, feel free to ask what you will." Those paying enough attention would now notice that the Sopron Solar System, which had been a minuscule dot of light in the distance a short while ago had now fully engulfed the Typhon. Their first objective could now be seen, as the space ship greatly decreased its speed, heading towards the capital planet of Erebus. In a few minutes, they would break atmosphere and their place within the Erathellian campaign would begin.
"Celestian Superior Aviza Morgenstern, we have finished installing the modifications upon the Typhon that you requested. We will now be taking our leave to return to our normal duties." One of the four Tech-Priests who remained within docking bay AS-383 had approached Aviza, his crimson red robes flowing behind him as he moved across the metallic floor. Without waiting for a reply, the Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus swiftly took their leave from the hanger, leaving Celestian Superior Aviza Morgenstern alone with her retinue.
With her back still turned to her squad, Aviza would finely acknowledge their presence. "There are only four of us this time around, I may have to request additional support. Then again, I have seen each of you in combat and have come to trust in your abilities." The Celestian kept her back turned, walking forward a couple of steps, trying to get a better look at her gunship and it's new modifications. "As I am sure you noticed, my gunship has had custom modifications installed into it for this mission. These include more than just weapons though, as you will see soon enough." The data-pad that Aviza had been using to review all of the Typhons internal and external systems, was placed back inside of its compartment upon her armor before she motioned with her right hand for the retinue to follow her onto her custom gunship.
The Typhon, was a Thunderhawk that had been stripped of most of its parts and completely redesigned to Aviza Morgensterns specifications. Unlike normal Thunderhawks, this redesign had a much more sleek look to it, and was quite a bit larger. Almost all of its systems had been greatly upgraded, allowing it to outperform most other ships. Along side these changes, the interior had a much more clean and comfortable look to it, a farcry from other ships in the Imperium of man.
Stepping to the right side of the Typhon would reveal its entrance, a small door that when closed, could not be seen from the exterior. Aviza was the first to step inside, being very careful to not disturb any of the doors mechanisms as she did. Once inside, she would make her way to the cockpit, quickly taking a seat and strapping herself in. The seating within the gunships cockpit would consist of three rows of two seats. The first two were for the pilot and co-pilot, while the other four were for the passengers.
The Typhon remained stationary for the moment, though the cockpit was now illuminated with a dull azure blue, giving Aviza Morgenstern and whoever had decided to take co-pilot the time to run a full pre-flight check. "I do hope you all have what belongings you wish to bring with you upon this mission, for we won't be returning for quite a while." said Aviza, while checking that the Typhons life support systems were fully functional.
