Abilities: Iko's Kekki Genkai is known as Spike Release, which is a technique that allows her to grow spikes out of her body and even objects she touches. The bigger and more numerous the spikes are, the more chakra she has to spend to create them. Aside from her bloodline technique, Iko is proficiant in earth style ninjutsu and quite adapt at taijutsu.
Weapons: basic ninja tools
Personality: Iko is very smart and resourceful. She is very loyal to her village and friends, and will stick up for those she cares about. Iko can be a bit of a hot head when annoyed too much, but she will always try to keep her calm when the situation calls for it.
Back Story: Iko was born to the Supaiku clan of Iwagakure. The Supaiku clan was known throughout the shinobi world for producing ninja that could create and use spikes as deadly weapons. This clan was very respected among the villages and Iko from the moment she was born was destined to grow up knowing the heritage she had with her.

For as long as she could remember Iko wanted to be a shinobi and maybe even become Tsuchikage someday. She focused on her training and made sure to always to do her best to make her parents proud. The coming genin exams has her very excited to have a chance and become stronger.
Family: she has a mother and father as well as two siblings.

The New Chunin Exams!! (Dead)

Gin was busy training in a wet field on the outskirts of Kirigakure and he wondered how much longer it would be until he received an invitation to partake in the upcoming chunin exams. He was practicing his Eight Dragon Head technique and had a large red dragon head sticking out of his shoulder. It was giving a growling noise and blowing smoke out of its nostrils. He couldn't make it use his fire release techniques, but he would train hard to achieve the goal. With a swift motion of his arm he had the monstrous head slam right into a practice dummy and smash it to pieces.

He then focused on creating a second head and succeeded. He then broke two more dummies with both heads. Gin proceeded to create a third head and used them to destroy another three of the dummies. Finally he tried to make a fourth head, but no matter how hard he concentrated his chakra just was not great enough to summon the fourth head. This was frustrating to him and he wanted to go further, but right now he was at an obstacle that he would have to overcome. It frustrated him, but he would have to keep training as hard possible.

It wasn't too long after he finished practicing with his bloodline technique that he got his letter of invitations to take the chunin exams. He was excited to have the chance to move forward with his shinobi career and also interested in fighting ninja from the other villages to see how strong they were.

"Five days until it starts huh? I guess I'll have to be prepared as I can be and go kick some butt" he said with a smile as he went back in the direction of his home to start getting rid for his journey.

Okay so to clarify, the abilities our character's use will be reminiscent of Hunter X Hunter. But any actual terms like Nen are not going to be used.

What @Dblade26 and I had in mind was more of a middle ground. Characters will be able to sense others' energy levels and presence, they can shield their bodies with their auras, fire kinetic blasts, etc.

I actually want to leave the concept open for now, but if you're familiar with Hunter X Hunter I don't see the more complex powers like Kite's sentient "Crazy Slots" being something that would quite fit.

But as I said before, I want everyone to enjoy the game. So please provide feedback.

So could my character learn abilities similar to a Transmuter through the use of Ki?

@Acid Hippie So do our characters have to use both Ki and Nen or can my character just use the Nen abilities? I thought up a character who I plan to have become a Transmuter
