Shiver grinned and went to grab the glass off of the table nearest her and it slipped and it broke into several pieces. She went to pick it up and she sliced her hand, or so she thought. She picked up the glass looking at it and ran it across her hand. "Ok, I just figured out what my third power is. Impenetrable skin. I can't be cut. I'm guessing that goes for bullets too. Well that should cut down on the trips to the doctor."

"I gotta get to the office. With Tia out I have to cover." Shiver gave Michael a kiss. "Will I see you later after missions?" She asked while getting dressed. She teleported to the office and her new name just hit her like a lightning bolt "Static".

Nikki noticed Ethan moving in front of her to protect her and Lia. The little girl ran off a moment or two later. Nikki could feel the tension coming off of Ethan. She squeezed his hand a little to show support. Nikki smiled and stepped up next to Ethan. She looked at Vincent and a feeling of uneasiness washed over her. "I'm Nikki. I hope you find whomever you were looking for. Come on Ethan, I have something to show you." Nikki said and she pulled him with her.

Nikki felt like she was holding her breath until they got around the corner. She matched his strides and took him straight to their room. Once inside she made sure the shades were drawn all the way down and she flipped the light on. Then she said, "That guy gave me the creeps." Nikki hugged Ethan and held onto him tightly. "Are you okay?"

Shiver awoke later after they had played for the remainder of the evening. Shiver realized she was a little sore. She went into the bathroom and quickly realized that she had lost her virginity...again. She sighed and cleaned up and then climbed back into bed with Michael snuggling skin to skin with him. She felt his arm pull her closer to him. Shiver chuckled to herself quietly. He opened his eyes and looked at her. She smiled "I'm not changing my name to Sparkie and how funny is it that your last name is watts. "Ohh what about Sizzle?" She giggled when he covered them back up.

"I wish I could have been here to fight her. Man that would have been perfect." He thought outloud.

Shiver looked a little confused. "Okay I understand that, sorta. She would test anyone's abilities. She was not someone that could be taken alone and she was deadly to everyone in her path. So much so that the agency asked us to take care of her when the time came or they would. As time went on there was less and less of my mother in there. I would say that the angel had been in control for over a year. We were waiting for her to reclaim her own body so to speak. When she flipped out we knew she was lost and not coming back."

Shiver became more quiet when she said this. "So if you were at some point intimate with her it's okay. She wasn't my mother because she was already gone by that time." Shiver laid her head against his chest and listened to his heart beating.

"So tell me something...Are you ever going to kiss me?" Shiver
blushed.

Shiver looked at Michael and said softly. "I know. If it were anyone else it would be different. It was different with her though. We had no choice. It had to do with her angel side and I don't really understand it myself. Something about the molecular structure restabolizing and restarting her regeneration if left intact. There will be a monument in a couple of days Bell said. It doesn't matter though, my mother lives in here." She touched her chest where her heart would be.

Shiver was not used to getting cold and having it bother her but his body heat felt good so she snuggled up closer to him.

"So they kicked you out when you were just a child. That was cruel. How did they think you would get by? It's not as if children that age can get a job." She looked back up at the stars.

"Can I tell you a secret? The team was hand picked by the agency. What I mean is Tia picked Kain...you know how well that went. Wicked picked Doctor Evergreen and probably more. I'm not sure who Bell picked but I think it was Ro'kun."

"I picked you. Wicked didn't think you could be on the side of good, but I saw something in you. I still see it. I think you are much more than just what you can do." Shiver looked at him and smiled. "I would like you to be comfortable around me and be able to say anything to me. As your teammate I'll never stop backing you up and as your friend I'll never let you fall if I can do something to stop it."

She snuggled into him more and she pulled his arm around her. "I was literally the ice queen. Now I have electricity and I am cold and I can feel how miserable it is to be cold. I have no idea what happened to my strength. I'm starting to think that I don't know who I am anymore."

"Hm, I'll need an appropriate call sign too. My actual name is Shiver but that doesn't fit anymore." She sat up and grinned, "I got it!" She pulled the blanket over them both. Shiver was shivering. She looked at him and smiled. "What do you think about "Voltage" isn't it cool?" She chuckled and said, "I give up, I'm freezing!" She teleported them both into her room just like they were. They appeared on her bed and the temperature was perfect in her room.

"Michael? Where did you go today?"

Lyla heard the water running in the bathroom and James was in the shower she searched closets and found fresh sheets. She remade the bed with the clean bedding and went to the kitchen and looked for food. She found enough for now she went outside and went to the car to grab the bags out. She changed her mind. She raised the sliding door and backed the car into it and shut the door and locked it down. Pulling their bags out and taking them upstairs she locked the bottom door from the inside so no one could get in without them knowing it.

When she got to the top of the stairs she took the bags into the bedroom and set them down. The keys to the car she put on top of the nightstand. She lay backwards on the bed and waited for James to get out of the shower. "Hey leave me some hot water in there." She shouted playfully."Oh hell." She knew if the world were normal she might not have ever met James and she liked him. Plus she had been without the possibility of a boyfriend for what seemed like forever.

Lyla walked into the bathroom and took all of her clothes off and joined him. She snuck into the back of the shower and said "Please tell me you left me some hot water?" He turned around and she walked into the water and her firm and perfect body got the reaction that she was hoping for.

Shiver sat up and saw who it was. "Ro'kun! Why are you up here? We came up here for privacy to talk and look at the stars." She said. "Would you mind leaving us alone please? There is a nice roof over by the outdoor pool you can lay on to look at the stars."
