4pm Day 11
Nikki walked into the kitchen. Jenna saw her just in time to put a cover over what she was doing. Nikki came in and saw Jenna's puffy eyes and bruised face and automatically hugged her. She saw Chris there helping in the kitchen and asked "Is he helping you?" Jenna nodded. "Yeah, why?" "You'll see." Nikki grabbed the P.A.microphone and announced a school wide mandatory meeting in ten minutes except for the guards. Everyone was to meet in the cafeteria.
As people filed in Nikki had not realized how many they still had. She was proud of what they had accomplished. She was also scared of what they were going to have to face over and over to stay alive. Matt walked in and told Nikki "The guard knows what is going on." Nikki nodded and urged everyone to take a seat. She smiled at them all and then she announced
"Yesterday's attack was the result of a spy amongst us. He left yesterday before the attack just up and deserted his post on guard outside." She let that sink in and heard some of the anger from the crowd. "We have learned who we believe is the group responsible and we have a plan. They are almost all marked by a specific tattoo. Our guard chased some of the fighters down and we were able to dispose of them after serious questioning. They have about 50 fighters." The shock and hushed tones were audible. Nikki continued "I and our best fighters are going to go on a surprise attack on them tonight." Nikki saw Jenna come out of the kitchen and scan the area for Jon.
Nikki saw Kat and Matt and saw him grab her hand in his reassuringly. James opted to lighten the mood a little "Ah come on Nikki 50? that's nothing for you why do you need backup?" That made Nikki and many others laugh. "I'm not taking all of the men and I need every person left here to be on defense of the school. Everyone who knows how to shoot will be manning a spot. Jenna and Kat both know how to shoot. I think most of the men here do and those that don't will be getting a quick lesson. I'm only taking about ten or so with me." There was a gravity that shut the room up instantly. "So it's at this point that I will ask for volunteers. It's going to be rough and I'm sure some of us won't make it back if things don't go well."
Matt kissed Kat's forehead and walked up next to Nikki. James, Eric and Darius were quick to follow. Jon of course stepped up and the fear on Jenna's face was frightening. A few more men chose to stand with them and when they were done there was 14 or so. "Get some rest guys we will be leaving at 9:30 tonight."
Nikki headed into the gym. She had asked James to get everyone set up to fight at the school. Matt came in and watched her warming up and loosening her body for the coming fight. The familiarity of it all made him smile a bit. The other guys followed her in without a word and started to warm up and practice their fighting moves. She looked over after realizing it wasn't just one or two of them but all of them. She didn't know what to say but the brightness in her eyes said it all to anyone paying attention.
Nikki walked over to Matt "Matt, I want you to run the school's defenses here." Matt's expression changed to one of indecision and disagreement. "Nikki, I'm not leaving you to fight without me. I'm military! We don't send our little sisters into battle like that!" She had known he would be stubborn about it. "I'm asking because you ARE military. You are the best person to lead the defenses for when they send some of the fighters here. You and I both know there will be fighting here too. I need to know that you are protecting Kat, Grace and Jenna. Our people know you and they listen to you. If I'm not here you need to lead them. You know I'm right." Matt was pissed off but he knew she was right. "Look, if you are here I won't worry. I can't be distracted and win." Matt muttered a string of curses under his breath but eventually nodded unhappily.
Matt went to the cafeteria where James was working with the others. Matt sent him to Nikki in the gym and he took over teaching.

Okay well for future reference I have mentioned that the cells are anti power of all sorts including portals. If I didn't make that clear they are completely break out proof even below ground so there is no tunneling out either.

3pm Day 11
Nikki looked at her watch and grabbed her walkie. "Matt?"
"Yeah?" "We need to meet Jon on the roof now. Where are you at?"
"Turn around." Matt said as he turned the corner right behind her. "Let's go sis!"
After unlocking the roof access and climbing out Nikki hugged Matt. "You should have told me you were going to propose."
Matt grinned. "Where is the fun in that? Did Jon say what this is all about?"
"Just that it had to do with the attack." Nikki said.
Before Jon could go to speak to the siblings, he wanted to go and check in with Jenna to make sure she was alright after the events earlier that day. He stepped into the cafeteria, which is the last place he knew she was in but he could only see some guy. Some random guy just stood there. He walked right past him into the kitchen, completely blanking him in the process. He noticed the back door slightly ajar. He stepped up behind Jenna and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Hey Jen are you alright? You took off pretty quick so i didn't have a chance to check in with you earlier."
Jenna flinched at the touch on her shoulder and sighed. "Yeah, I'm ok. It's just a lot of stress at once. I'll be alright." She hoped he wouldn't see through her. "Where have you been? Off hunting bad guys I assume." She smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Oh! Here. I almost forgot." She pulled the necklace out of her pocket and handed it back to him. "I kept it safe for you."
Jon looked at the necklace in his hand before placing it back in Jenna's hand and closing her hand around it. "I'm sorry for taking so long to come see you, when duty calls i have to answer or we could have another catastrophe like last night. Please keep the necklace, it looks good on you." Jon sighed and looked up towards the sky. "That brings me onto the other thing i wanted to talk to you about. I think i need to move on from my past. So Jenna Connors i ask this. Will you be the Ygritte to my Jon Snow?"
Jenna looked up at him surprised. "But Jon, you saw what happened to me." Jenna turned away. "It's not the first time I've been raped. I swear that it will be the last time though." She wiped away the tears. "I'm not clean enough. What he did to my body will heal quickly but he hurt a part of me that will take a long time to fix in here." She held his hand to her heart. "I am not sure I would be able to wash away the damage anytime soon. I don't want to put you through that kind of heartache." She closed her eyes a moment. Jenna knew she cared about Jon but she was unsure of how to go forward without hurting him while she tried to fix herself.
Jon grabbed Jenna's arm and embraced her. "Whatever fixing that you need to do, we can do together. Jen, nobody will ever hurt you again. I PROMISE YOU. i will personally hunt down anyone who hurts you. It wont happen ever again so long as both you and i live." He said as he placed his hand on the back of her head and lowered it into his shoulder so she could cry should she need to.
Jenna nodded and put her arms around him at the waist and hugged him to her. "If you are certain but I am still going to have Nikki teach me to fight. Just in case. I think that will go a long way in helping me." She raised her face to his and she kissed him. "Okay my room upstairs is the second art room on the right in the furthest hallway. Matt already figured you would be staying in there with me." She wiped her tears away and said, "He is very perceptive."
Jenna wiped her face and tried to not look like she had been crying for the tenth time today. "I need to make a birthday cake for Nikki. You know where I'll be. Be safe out there."
"Always" he said kissing her forehead and rustling her hair. He hugged her one more time before turning and walking to the door. He stood in the doorway before leaving. "Love you Jen, ill be with Nikki for about half an hour then ill come see you." he said as he left the room.
This time he went straight to the roof. As he got to the roof he noticed that Nikki and Matt were already there. "Ok, guys i think i know who the attackers were and where they came from. When i tell you though i dont want you to be mad."
Nikki looked at him like he had just turned into a pumpkin. "Jon that doesn't even make sense." She looked at Matt who was waiting for an explanation. "Go on, explain." Nikki took a defensive stance and waited.
Jon gripped his own sword. "Im not sure if i explained why Myself and the rest of nights watch left our original group but long story short. Half the original group rebelled and killed the family members of the watch. The leader of the rebels Ray, had a Tattoo. XO exactly the same as our attackers. now the night before the attack one of my group left his post in the night and i havent seen him since. He may have been a spy for Ray."
Nikki looked at Matt. "So you are saying that there are more of them and we don't know when but they will probably be back. Do you know where they are? I need to take care of these guys. If this were to happen again...we can't let it happen again. Jenna and Kat have been through too much already."
Matt spoke up "You need to go through your guys and figure out if there are more spies among us and if there are any that raise your suspiscions we will let them leave unharmed but they will be stripped of weapons. They will have to find their own way to survive."
Nikki appeared to approve of this idea. "Jon I need as much info as you can get me. I'll take Eric with me and we'll go take care of these guys."
"Wait, im coming with you. I demand retribution. If not for me then atleast let me kill them so Jen doesnt have to go through that again." He said gripping his sword even tighter. "theres also a lot more of them than you think. When i left he had fifty. We killed seven in the attack so he still has fourty plus men. I suggest that we attack at night with every able bodied fighter we have. Take them by surprise. I can lead us to the last known location of them. Ill go through my men and check to make sure none of the rest are spies."
Taking in the new information Nikki agreed that they needed to go in for the surprise attack. "I agree right up to the part where we leave the school defenseless. We can't take all of the fighters. If any of them get away this is where they will head thinking that there are no men or fighters here to defend the place." Matt agreed.
"I suggest that you check your guys. After that I think we need to tell everyone what we are doing and make sure everyone is armed and in position to defend this place. This place is our lifeline. Without it...we will become savages like they are. I know Kat and Jenna can shoot. Jenna is actually a better shot than I am." Nikki said. "If we can keep the fight out of the school that is our best chance." Matt nodded. "The new guys can help here. We need the best out there but we need defenses here too."
"Agreed. meet out front at nine thirty...should take us an hour to trek to their base." Jon turned and began to walk away. As he reached the door he turned back. "Hey Nikki, Happy Birthday by the way."
Nikki looked at Matt who was trying not to laugh as she slugged him in the arm chuckling.
