The year is 2030. It is mid Spring. The third world war has been going on for about three weeks. The more populated areas have been destroyed and nuclear sickness is everywhere. The United Nations is trying bring the Super Powers under a one world government. Basically it is a world that is running amok. There is little to no surviving unless you are one of the fortunate few who has survived and seems to be immune to the nuclear sickness and radiation levels. Most people and animals are left dying from the sickness or the sudden fatal cancers that are rapidly growing and killing people.

Everywhere you go people are scared and fear makes people dangerous. People will kill you as soon as look at you. You have to find food, shelter and weapons. You also have to find a way to go on and continue in this new and insane world. There is little to no electricity, most food stocks have been destroyed and the ones in power that have survived to this point are making crazy decisions that have foreigners on our soil trying to take over. These foreign soldiers will kill you if they see you.

At this point there is no place on the planet that hasn't been touched by the disastrous mistakes of the rulers. You are in the suburbs of what is left of Chicago, Illinois. There is nowhere safe except small hidden pockets of people. None of your friends or family has survived. Now go.

Wicked walked in and waited as Shiver manipulated the ice away from him. She kept his powers negated so she could find out what was going on. If she had to go diving into his brain matter she would. "Shiver we are going to have to get water resistant floors if you keep freezing him in here." Shiver grinned. "Tell him to quit being an ass and I'll stop doing it."

Wicked looked at him and hoped Shiver could stand this bit of information. "Alright, I went into the simulator that never actually got used the way you think of. I already know there was a change in the personality since Omega got back from space. See the system is set to pick up all of the vitals including brain waves and when you got back I had R&D watch the brain waves and activity in your mind more than usual. Something happened. Now you can tell me or I can look for myself."

Shiver looked horrified.

Shiver immediately tensed up and blasted him into an ice statue from the waste down, including his hands. "What the hell is wrong with you? Talking in the third person, grabbing my ass and why the hell did you call me an insect?" She stood defiantly. "Something is very wrong with you."

Wicked turned the corner saw them and sighed. "Omega why are you and Shiver arguing now? You seem to be off the last day or two. Omega, are you still in fact Michael Watts?" She looked at her daughter. "He grabbed your ass?" Shiver nodded. Looking back at him she said "That is something I've never seen you do. You've never been one to overstep physically with anyone." Wicked negated his powers. "I'm going to phase into your brain if you don't tell me what is going on? Who are you really and where is Michael?"

Shiver saw Omega come in and went right up to him and asked

"What is wrong with you? You seem very different. Don't tell me that I am imagining things either. I'm not the only one noticing either." She was not going to back down. She had decided that she wanted to know what was going on. "Did you come back from space with one of those little alien creatures? You know...like the one in that Star Trek movie "The wrath of Kahn" they put those little critters in that guy's ear. Should my mother heal you?"

"I'm worried about you." Shiver asked looking directly into his eyes.

As she walked across the bifrost to Midgard. Eden felt the sudden drop to the ground. She landed safely and walked to the compound. Once she got to the gates she asked to speak to the Closer of the gates to hell. Harry smiled at her and said "You mean Wicked." She nodded and looked around at the tall walls and good security systems and wondered how often they kept this place safe.

Harry let her in and he pointed out which building to go to. She headed to the HQ building and entered. She cautiously made her way to the first door on the left. Shiver was sitting at her desk reading a letter. She looked a bit miffed. Shiver looked up and saw her. She wiped her eyes and smiled. "Harry said you are looking for Wicked." Eden nodded and Shiver telepathically called her mother to the office. Shiver noticed the crossbow slung over her shoulder and smiled admiring it. "That's a very nice weapon you have there."

Eden smiled. "Thank you." Shiver offered her hand to her to shake and Eden said "I'm Eden, goddess of youth on Asguard."

"Shiver guardian angel, pleased to meet you."

Eden smiled noticing her angel wings. "Wings and all." Shiver nodded. "Yeah."

Wicked rounded the corner and came into the room. She grabbed a comlink and a room key and took Eden to her room herself. Shiver thought this a little strange but went back to worrying about Enyo and Ro'kun.

"Thor was here on Midguard the other day and told me you would be coming. I trust you had a safe trip."

Eden nodded "Yes."

Nora's customized limo pulled up to the base that Deon had setup. It was just after sunset and Nora was just waking up. She noticed the car stopping. She sat up and straightened her hair. "Bartlett? Are we finally to the compound?" "I believe so mistress. I'll go see if I can confirm that and let the master know you are here." Nora smiled. She was so excited to ask so many questions. Looking around at the base she was not entirely certain but she suspected that it was Deon who had put this all together.

A few moments later Bartlett reappeared and opened her door. "Mistress, the master is in the building on the right." Nora got out of the car and straightened her dress out. Bartlett held the door for her at the car and again into the building. She truly appreciated him. So many men were lacking in manners these days.

Upon entering the main room she looked around. It looked fairly ordinary, comfortable. "Hello? Deon? Are you here?" She decided to follow the hallway. She knocked on the largest door. When it opened a moment later Deon was standing in front of her along with Dracula. "Hello Grandfather! I felt your call. It was wonderful! Did Deon somehow bring you back?" She took Dracula's hand in hers and kissed it as she bowed to him. "I have missed you so very much Grandfather." Nora turned to Deon. "I have no doubt you would be involved in bringing him back. I am in your debt. Thank you so much Deon." She looked from one to the other still beaming. "How may I serve you?"

The problem is that I expected the Loki thing to involve more people and pretty much everyone seemed totally uninterested so just had to end it early. The Omega switch/kill thing still feels unfinished and he won't tell me anything else about it so I can't seem to move forward there either. I'll figure it out.

No patience=character flaw of Wick's. I try to be. It just leaves me frustrated is all.
