Piper had watched Dracula leave and she knew that he would lock every gate between there and the house. He would not allow her to get to him. Werewolves and vampires were mortal enemies. The bite of either one could turn their victim but the bite of a hybrid would kill either one and the only thing that could save the victim at that point would be drinking the hybrid's blood.

Piper felt the change starting to take over her body. She looked outside and it was getting darker and the moon was becoming more visible. As it did her body started to shift into her lycan self and her arms and legs became stronger and larger and more muscled. She screamed as the irons dug into her wrists and then her feet. Anger fueled her pain and determination to get out of the irons. Piper pulled and screamed in agony as she pulled the left iron on her wrist out of it's captivity. She used it to pull the other iron apart. Shortly after that the irons on her feet were broken too. Her cuts disappeared with her healing abilities. Piper had noticed that the irons might be old but that the cage was not. He had electrified it too. Her werewolf was not something she could control. It was said that some wolves learned to control theirs over time but she had not achieved that yet.

Ranna was just so angry that she didn't pay attention to her surroundings. She had walked out of the city to cool off and had intended to be back before long. She ran into a couple of Hell squealers which she promptly blew up. A couple of doom labs showed up and she started heading back after fending them off. She hadn't realized she had gone so far out. On her way back to the city she heard some strange noise up ahead on her left. Speeding up she found Ruyn. He was laying off to the side of the road. He had been attacked by what Ranna could only assume by the bites a rogue doom lab or something of similar size. He was fighting for every breath and Ranna dropped to her knees and held his hand. She knew there was no time to get anyone to save him. It was impossible. His throat had been bitten and his chest was torn open in a gruesome scene. Ranna held his hand and cried as the light left his eyes.

Ranna had to hurry. It would be getting dark soon and if she was going to get Ruyn back she was going to have to either carry him or drag him. She looked around for debris that might be usable. Finding an old pallet she tied him to it and dragged him until she got into sight of the guards. They came running to help her and as soon as they saw that it was Ruyn there was a lot of dread. No one wanted to tell Kyle that his best buddy was dead. Ranna knew the look. "Don't worry, you are off the hook, I'll tell him."

Nikki stretched hard and noticed that her stomach was back to pre-pregnancy flatness since she had been training and dancing every day. She looked at the distance and grinned at the challenge to come. Then she ran full tilt and jumped on an angle down to the other roof of the building. She had missed Parkour. Finally ready to work on it again she was slightly nervous and when she landed she hit her hand and skinned the crap out of it. When she sat up it was bloody and sore enough to make her hiss with the pain of it.

Nikki jumped down to the first floor and went inside. Darius shook his head. "Miss Nikki you are gonna break something if you keep that up." Nikki grinned and stuck her tongue out at him making him grin and shake his head at her.

Nikki walked into the kitchen and as soon as the first woman saw her hand there was a scurry of sudden nurses all over the kitchen and many of the older women kept telling her she was reckless and tempting fate. "Nah, I'm just practicing a new skillset." Nikki would always say.

"Thank you! My savior. Sorry to wake you up to this." Eve reached up and kissed his cheek. "Let go of me." Eve complained, "See what I get for helping people out!"

Eve realized there may be another way around this. "How do I join the military out here?" She pulled her bag and looked to make sure her knife was in there. "I bet then they wouldn't toss me in the pokey for saving lives on our side." Realizing she just told him what she was locked up for she said, "oopsie?"

Ingrid and Jon had become almost inseparable. She had picked up working in and tending Jenna's garden. She had a knack for it that even superseded Jenna's. The cooking had been divided up between the ladies in the school. Nikki was now in this category. Her in the kitchen was treacherous to anyone else in there so she was banished to washing dishes or setting up the front line. She was nearly completely healed up from her miscarriage. (OOC-Ok yes in RL it takes longer but this is fiction so :P deal with it.)

Nikki and Kat had accepted Ingrid as one of their own right away. As a matter of fact Ingrid was treated by the ladies as an important member of their higher ranks. With Matt and Kyle running things and Nikki working with them at least part time as far as the ladies were concerned the female hierarchy was Nikki, Kat then Ingrid. The first two because they and or their husbands were making the decisions and Ingrid because Jon was in charge of the guard. That made him the security chief in their minds.

Ingrid spent a lot of time training with Nikki when not in the garden. She also would take Gracie and give Kat some downtime to take a shower, a nap, or just to have happy afternoon sex with Matt. This took a little bit of stress off of Kat too. Ingrid loved Gracie as if she were her own and with Nikki teaching her Kat at least knew Gracie was safe with Ingrid.
