Piper's heart had soared with hope when he recognized her. Those hopes were crushed when he said he couldn't help her and left. When Dantis asked her to cover up she grabbed the blanket Rohar had left on the chair. She wrapped it around her and tucked it so it looked more like a sleeveless dress.

"Of course. It was seven years ago. I was in college and I had left a party a little too drunk. I remember everything getting blurry when I was picked up and slammed into a wall. Apparently a vampire had gotten the idea that I would make a good snack and Rohar decided otherwise. During their battle I got mortally wounded and he bit me to give me the healing powers. After he bit me and I healed up he stayed the night with me, explained about werewolves and told me if I ever needed him he would be here or in the area." Piper blushed. Piper ran her hands through her hair and detangled some of it as she spoke.

"If you guys don't help me. There will be a lot of bloodshed that is not necessary. There is a group of vampires and myself and we are intending to take Dracula down." Piper thought about Nora and told him. "My maker informed me that Dracula is our vampire grandfather." Realizing she hadn't explained that part yet she backed up. "I forgot to tell you that part. Two years after Rohar turned me I was also turned by a vampire so now I am hybrid. I am much stronger than others give me credit for."

Piper looked at the door Rohar had gone out of. "How long do you think he will be gone? I think I should go after him." Piper was upset and said, "Nora has been Dracula's lover for centuries. Now that he is back and found out that she moved on during his absence he is looking at me to take her place and ..." Fear was obvious on her face. "I can't do that...he is pure evil there is just no way."

Violet thought she could see Jasper up ahead talking to a couple of people. She laughed at his joke and said, "Well, let's join him and see if we can't find out more about this place." Violet grinned and lifted them both in the air about 6 inches and flew them up to where Jasper was talking. Once they got there she set them down carefully. "Here, you can lean on me if you need to, I can see that it hurts."

"Hi I'm Violet. Hey Jasper. Hachi and I came to see what we could find out about this place. Have you guys been here before? " Violet smiled. She was trying really hard to make friends and even going out of her way to do it.

Kyle raised an eyebrow at the newly appeared students. He had wanted to come to the gardens to spend some time with Kalinda, but he knew he needed to make friends. Kyle kissed Kalinda's cheek and stood up. He gave a slight bow, waving his hands around, and spoke confidently.

"How do you do? My name is Kyle Grayson. Legacy of the Bat Family, Son of Nightwing and Batgirl, The legendary -" Kyle said and he did a small flip off a bench next to them and landing on his feet with he knees slightly crouched and his hand to his face. He suddenly sprung up and pointed to the sky, "Boy Wonder! Do not be afraid, stars like me only come every few generations."

Violet laughed at Kyle's introduction. "I'm guessing you are in theatre." She said grinning. She turned to Kalinda and said, "I'm betting he keeps you laughing a lot." She looked at Jasper and Hachi and asked Kyle and Kalinda. "So are you returning from last year? All three of us are new and would love to know more about things here at the school."

Kyle put his hands behind his head as he spoke. "Nah I am new here this year too, Kalinda is a returning student though."

The sun shone brightly and Violet reached for her sunglasses and realized that they were gone. She stopped to think where they were and she remembered taking them off in the cafeteria. "Excuse me, I left my shades in the cafeteria. I'll be right back." Violet ran back to the cafeteria. She was also hoping to see Griffin again if he was still there. She didn't want him to think she was mad at him. Violet opened the door and walked across the cafeteria to see her shades on the table and to see another girl talking to Griffin.

Piper had only ever met this wolf once and then only briefly so she was hoping she would be able to remember his scent accurately. She went to the cemetery on the outskirts of a small town. She could only hope it was the one she had remembered. It had been a few years. She caught a scent she recognized. She followed her nose to a tomb that was locked and she grabbed the lock and yanked it off with one hand smashing it to bits. She entered the tomb and followed her nose a little more and moved a cement statue inside the crypt and an opening underneath the casket's resting place. Piper went down into the dark and followed the passageway to a door. She opened it and entered the dimly lit room. Once inside she stared right into the eyes of the wolf she was looking for. He was in human form.

"Rohar?" Piper said transforming into her human self. She was still covered in dried mud and she was of course naked. This is a normal occurrence for the wolves but not for vampires and she was not used to worrying about her nudity anymore. She looked into the eyes of the wolf she remembered and she nodded to his brother. She made the mental note that they looked very similar. Piper said "Do you remember me? It was only a few years ago when you turned me into a werewolf."

Piper reached out and put her hand gently against his face and said, "I need your help," she looked at Dantis and said, "your's too." She ignored the vampire's discomfort at her nudity. "I need you to help us kill Dracula. He wants to make me his new pet/girlfriend/ eternal lover whatever you want to call it and there is no way I can do that."

Gracie had reverted to sucking her thumb as she had fallen back to sleep. Nikki had been trying to see who had survived as the stragglers slowly made their way over. She saw Erin and Alex, Ethan, Robert, George several others that she knew and a few she vaguely remembered. When it came time to head out Nikki opted to take Matt with them in the truck. Nikki let Ingrid drive and she hopped into the back with Matt. Niki was terribly worried about him.

Kyle drove with a few nameless guards in the silver impala he aquired. He stayed behind the truck Nikki was in, and as they drove they killed any walkers they could or quickly deconstructed any road blocks that blocked their way to Texas. Kyle's attention was constantly pulled away though from where he was, drifted back to Nikki. After a bit of time had passed, Kyle pulled out his walkie talkie and hailed Nikki on hers.

"Breaker breaker this is sexy man 44, do you copy?"

Nikki looked at her walkie but she couldn't reach it because Grace was sleeping on her arm funny. Matt grabbed it. "Really dude? You are sooo not my type. What's up Kyle?" Nikki looked at her brother and smiled. Maybe given enough time he would recover. His eyes looked bright for half a second then they went right back to dull. Gracie shifted in her arms.

Kyle chuckled. "Excuse me but I dont know any Kyle I am Sexy Man 44. But you sound hot. What are you wearing? Im wearing gross walker blood and messy dirty. Plus dont forget all this lovely sweat. Just your average trucker appearance."

Kyle honked his horn twice in quick succession, trying to be funny.

Nikki watched Matt sit back against the side of the truck and she handed him Gracie whom he cuddled as if she were the most prized possession on the planet. She picked up the walkie. "Hey baby you guys okay back there?"

"Yea we are fine, but super bored. Havent seen a walker in an hour weirdly enough, and no road blocks. And that cute sounding guy just got off the radio so no sexy time for me."

Kyle ignored the laughter in his car and the whistling.

"But we are surviving. How about you babe?"

Nikki looked at her brother and his baby girl. "We are still numb right now. We are going to have to find more gas and shelter for the night soon though. It's going to be getting dark soon and we will also need food. The baby will get fussy and start screaming if we don't."

"Yea copy that. I saw a sign a little ways back that there is a motel a few miles away, but it didnt seem like there was a huge amount of stores. I think just one gas station. There was another sign for a pretty popular hotel, and its sure to have supplies to boot but more than likely covered in walkers. Its your choice. Stop sooner and hope we get lucky with supplies, or travel quite a ways farther and fight?"

"Sooner since not everyone is the same on gasoline." Darius spoke up chuckling at Kyle a little. "Yeah Sexy man 44 we are down to a 1/4 tank back here." Robert popped up and said "We are between 1/4 and a half back here too." Nikki nodded. "Sooner rather than later. Plus in unfamiliar territory I would rather get in for the night so that we are not trying to set up in the dark wherever we are. I want a good lay of the land for security." Nikki sighed and laid her head back against the side of the truck.

Kyle thought for a second then spoke again. "Can do. Nikki why dont you be in charge of security when we stop, and Matt comes with me. I wanna scavenge a bit, see if I can find anything useful and see if I can siphon gas from any trucks or big ass vehicles."

Kyle checked his cars gas gauge. "I am at a little above 1/4 a tank, by the way. And if you call me by my should be my online name but instead is my trucker name name, you better be out in your seat. You know what I mean."

Ingrid came over the walkie. "We need to find some medical supplies too. We have wounded don't forget. I'm getting off at the next exit. It looks like there is a gas station and a few other buildings so maybe it's not too bad." Nikki nodded.

A couple of minutes they entered the parking lot of a gas station. It was one of those bigger stations. Nikki grabbed her sword and as soon as the truck stopped at a pump Nikki hopped over the side and Matt went on alert. He got out and handed Grace to Ingrid in the truck. Then followed Nikki inside the store to turn the pumps on. He pulled out a knife as soon as he opened the door. Nikki was already dropping bodies left and right. She rounded the cashier area and hit the all run on the pumps. This would allow all of the pumps to be activated.

Kyle parked near the exit of the gas station, then got his guys to move out. Each went to a different pump with a cherry can, getting as much fuel as they could. There was actually a decent amount of fuel, and they were able to fill almost everyone up and have a few jerry cans to spare. While they were doing this, Kyle defended them, moving fast and swinging like a demon. He used his machete and boot knife to stab walkers in the head.

Nikki grabbed a cooler inside the station and she waved some of the others inside to use the facilities and grab munchies and drinks. She made sure to get some Gatorade and peanut butter crackers for Gracie. She also went down the aisle and grabbed everything first aid that they had. She also grabbed some small packs of baby wipes and a box of diapers out of the stockroom.

Once the area was clear of walkers, Kyle signalled for his group to relax. He went inside the station and found Nikki. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Guess who?"

Before he got the words out of his mouth Nikki had headbutted him backwards and nearly killed him. As she turned and saw who had grabbed her she sighed and pulled him to his feet. "What the fuck? Are you trying to get killed?" She hugged him and looked at the bruising on his chin starting. "There are times for that and while we are doing this is not it. You are lucky I didn't swing my sword first."

Nikki's stomach made her stop a moment. The next thing she did was run to the bathroom where she vomitted. She rinsed her mouth and washed her hands and came out looking a little white.

"Good news...the baby is still with us. bad news is...its making me sick." When she got outside they were switching places. Jon and Ingrid were taking residence in the back of the truck and Matt was going to drive and Nikki and Grace were in the front with him. Nikki hugged her brother tight for a moment.

Kyle walked back to his car, rubbing his chin. This sucked. He realized the gravity of the situation, but still.....he was conflicted. He wanted to be with Nikki, to make sure they were fine. On the other hand he knew that Matt was going through some heavy crap and needed her. Kyle let one of his guys drive and he popped a seat in the back. While they drove for just a tiny bit longer, he field stripped his weapons and back.

Nikki held Gracie as she slept. "Matt? How are you doing?" Nikki asked him. Matt looked at her and his eyes looked so hurt that he couldn't answer her at all. "Let's go. Kyle, can you guys take the lead and that way you can locate a place that might not be too bad to hole up for the night. I'm kinda thinking like a farm or something." Nikki waited and the car Kyle was in pulled out in front of them.

Ranna went to the medical office and completely ignored Mabel. She mentioned to Ailsa that she still needed to check on Zach and change his bandages. Then she went back to check on the crops. Seeing that the crops were well under control by the others she went back to their room and lay back down. She still wasn't feeling tip top. She slipped back under the covers and into Kyle's arms.

Nora rolled out of her bed and read the note Barkley handed her as soon as she hit the first floor. She looked up at Rick and said "Piper has gone wolf and left." She sighed and said, "At least she will be far from here. Grant will focus on the task at hand. Now if only you could have gone with her and saved me the agony of worrying about you." Nor looked around and knocked on Ben's door. "Ben! Come out here. I need to speak with you."

Piper ran and ran. She was headed East. To all others she looked like a wolf or to those who didn't know, she looked similar to a Siberian husky just a little longer and with more brown than black in her fur. She was safer this way. She ran for a long time. She needed to get to one of the packs or at least far enough away that it would be difficult to find her. She really had no idea where she was going to go. She rolled in the mud while it was raining to minimize her scent. When she got to the outskirts of one of the big packs she had to wait at the edge and ask for the leader of the werewolf pack. Upon meeting him they both telekinetically spoke as wolves do. He was not keen on helping to kill Dracula. He called her insane and said she was asking to get herself killed. Then as most pack leaders did he demanded she submit to him and when she refused him he attacked her.

Piper had feared this might happen and was ready for him. She was a lot stronger than she looked because she was a hybrid. The male wolf was not aware of her vampire half and she responded with a viciousness he was not counting on and when she tore his throat out and he fell she snarled at the rest of the pack. As their new leader she watched as they all submitted to her as their new leader by bowing and laying down to her. Piper had not wanted to become the leader she was much more interested in finding help. Piper walked into her new position and she knew that she needed them but she needed someone else too. She had heard of them before but from another werewolf not long after her first full moon. Piper chose a second in command and left him in charge til she got back and she headed East again.
