Just offering, mate. Don't have to be snappy with someone trying to be nice, yeah?
Harald simmered quietly over his new XO. It wasn't just her personality- she obviously had different sides, especially with most everyone seeing her being all friendly. He marked her down, as well as the others giving him odd stares, as potential enemies. For others, that might mean being wary and cautious. For him, that meant he needed to pull on their pigtails even harder. Haters gonna hate, after all, and they can certainly try to stomp on him.

So he climbed into his mech- it appeared that most had the faster, lighter armored Zaruga versus the heavier, slower one. That certainly made sense.

Either way, he climbed up, and sat himself in his cockpit, letting the hatches close and everything slowly start coming to life. He placed a hand on the cockpit's walls, feeling the thrum of the engine through the interior. Satisfied with its start up, he started madly typing into the console, watching another screen feed him the results of his scans and searches. He had obviously modified his walker a bit, to the point where he took out some... safeguards, in favor of being able to do more without safety features impeding him, especially if someone decided to get in too close to him for comfort.

He wasn't lying- front line warfare made him nervous. It was all too easy to get into a trap, or get cut off by a surprise attack, or just be the first to take a heavy hit. He much preferred the more intellectual role.

Finished rewriting several safety procedures, he threw on his headset, and booted up the rest of the systems.

Alright, are any of you still here and up for this?
@duck55223

So you need any help thinking of something, or what? Still some room, I think, if you're still interested.

Many of the characters here run the gamut between paranoid, cynical, and entirely disaffected. Someone vocally defending their strengths like Harold did is something that will rub people the wrong way.

I don't think your character's stupid. Neither the way you play him, nor the way you set him up, make him stupid. He's talkative, outgoing, and willing to hold by what he believes even when it draws heat to him. He's given us the most dramatic tension so far, and that's a good thing. He didn't make a good first impression, but hey, impressions change.

Just know that we aren't targeting you, and we won't automatically shoot down everything your character does.

This convinced me to stay, I think.

Yeah, that makes sense.
Sorreh all. just got discouraged when everybody singled him out.
I don't even want to roleplay this anymore.

I mean, I love the concept and all, but I screwed up, 'pparently, and I don't even want to bother with it anymore. Dunno if other people are amused by it and wanna see what stupid things he does next, but I'm feeling fairly crappy about my character now.

Cause
You know
Like everyone singled him out. Maybe not verbally, but we can kinda read the posts.
@GingerBoi123
You're fine, mate.

Dunno why you're forming up- they ain't gonna be attacking you. Just creepify a good deal, ya dig?

Of course, you don't know that.
