Sorry, I'll get a post up soon. Not today though, due to lack of sleep and a busy day work.

The real queasiton is; Will the stank stick to the food?
10/02/2025:

Due to a sickly kitty who decided that the best time to throw up was at around 1:10 AM in the morning, then take a big stinky dump that befouled the air of most of the partment, coupled with a strangely hectic monday at work, I'll be post-poning today's post until tomorrow due to fatigue and mood.

Thank you, please wait warmly while girls are loading.

I'm... Very confused... I'm sorry, I'm just having a very hard time following the series of events that just happened in your latest post.

I thought Sam already got up and left with Azir after he initially knocked over the table, and they were having dinner - not lunch... And I thought he was asking them for help in catching the gremlins he and Azir were chasing, not offering to help Miyuki and Yumeiko who aren't chasing any gremlins? And then all of a sudden they're in a hallway even though they were just inside the cafeteria and soemhow they're now inside the vents of the buildings because Sam used his powers...? I... I'm having trouble... Maybe I missed something or am misreading or misunderstanding? I'm just very uncertain of what just happened.
@Remram
That's really up to you, to be honest. Brom's your character and how he experimented, learned and gained the knowledge to cook and prepare food is your department. If he's eaten slime before? Then he already knows how. If he's never eaten a slime before? You'll just have to come up with some totally (in)credible reason for why he can figure out how to make it safe for ingestion.

Go wild! Go ham!
Mmm, haaaaaaam...
Springwood Forest

@Zeroth Yasunami Akitsugu, @Dragonydas Myrravel Velasien, @Remram Brom Stronghammer

Precautions were taken, nerves were steeled, a plan was formed and a back-up prepared. Eyes narrowed, breathes were held, the moment was tense and palpable, so thick you could almost cut a slice off with a cheese knife.

.. Until, you know, things played out.

Turns out slimes aren't really that good at noticing stuff around them, especially not when distracted by the sudden and magical appearance of food straight infront of them. Not having any actual sensory organs, such as being able to see, hear, smell or ... Well, anything really, also meant that it wasn't exactly hard to sneak up on them. Though to be fair, there wasn't really a 'back' or 'front' of a slime... But regardless.

Brom's carefully calculated and incredibly precies plan was carried out with surprisingly flawless accuracy, with the slime not even realizing it had been scooped into a metallic container umtil it was already inside. And even then, all it could really do was jiggle in a state of confused agitation before the lid was shut on top of its metaphorical head.

Thus, Brom had succeeded in capturing the Forest Slime.

The day, was saved!

And now, all that remained... Was a quiet and otherwise unremarkable aftermath, with the sounds of the forest returning to rustle the leaves and vegetation, birds chirping and singing in the distance, and the three heroic explorers now being left to their own devices. And that piece of wood that the slime had started to consume by nibbling on it - if slimes could nibble. Actually, it'd made a strange noise, like the sound when you open a soda can really slowly, that 'psssssch' sound. Well, it was hadly a concern at this point - no way that little goopy goober was getting out of the chef's pot anytime soon, as long as the aformentioned dwarf remembered to keep the lid sealed.

Southwest Farmlands

@CitrusArms Niara Rootwick, @Rune_Alchemist Yingmei Okudaira

The breeze blew gently, the sun shined brightly, the surroundings were calm and peaceful, and in Yingmei's arms, the feathered friend snuggled and bokd' peacefully and contently. It was a tranquil moment of the begunnings of a slow life here in the middle of nowhere, the Farland Frontier. But nothing would get done by just standing around.

Center of Town

@Lupusintus Rinn Arniman, @BunniesOfDoom Adrila Jaaxa,

At this point, Daryl had moved over to the many crates, boxes, barrels and containers he'd brought back into the central stone brick house. There were a few odds and ends still in his and Sherly's cart, but apparently the large man wasn't in any hurru to fetch those. Instead, he began the ardeous and oh-so-fun taask of sorting and categorizing things. He moved crates to one side of a wall, and boxes to another, opened lids and peeked inside, before deciding where this or that was to go. He seemed almost completely lost in this activity, as if he was on auto-pilot and entirely absorbed in the task at hand. Sheryl sighed and shook her head.

"Single-minded as always, heh." She let out a small chuckle.

Around the bend of a nearby building, coming from the northeast, was the foppish bard-fellow. And he'd broguth a tumbling, rumbling, rolling barrel with him. The seamstress exited the house to investigate the noise, smiled and gave the young lady a hearty wave as he approached

"Welcome back. Looks like you and the little miss found something, huh? Just leave it ouside the door, my husband will bring it inside once he gets a moment." She stated, once the boy was near enough to actually be able to hear.

The red-head woman then turned back to Adrila and nodded to the elven woman.

"Let me know how the blankets fit, and if we need more. I'll be inside, helping that oaf of mine for a bit."

With that, the motherly woman stepped back inside and started to aid her beloved husband in rearranging and storing things in a more ordered and neatly fashion.

Southern Towen

@ERode MacKinnon

As the treasure-hunting lass was wandering about the souther, lower-class(?) area of the town, she soon spotted a familiar(?) face. Or pair of faces. Holding hands and walking at a slow and measured pace, was the old man and the little girl from earlier this morning. The little girl waved energetically at the older girl and called out to her.

"Heeey! Hi!"

The old man offered a half-hearted, casual raising of his own hand, and a friendly enough smile. As they got clsoer, the pair stopped for amoment to chat.

"Well, look at you. Pack's bursting with things and trinkets, I see."
"Lucky! We didn't go inside and grab anything from the old housies."
"No pouting now, I told you. Going into old buildings can be dangerous."
"But lookit all the stuff she found...!"
"I'm sure she'll show them all to you later."
"Really? Really-really!?"

The child's expectations and excitement were quite contagious, and the grandfather laughed and tussled her hair a bit, which made the little girl giggle happily. He then looked back up at the young explorer before him.

"We were just about done walking around and getting a feel and lay of the place. We're about to head back to everyone else now. Are you going to keep looking around? Otherwise, you're welcome to walk back with us."
Brom is certainly a dorf.

In other news, new GM post will come later today. As mentioned before, if you want to be part of exposition in the very near future (aka, the next GM post) you should probably try to return to the village center.

EDIT:

Nothing big or major, just a bit of house-cleaning and prep-work in order to lay the groundwork for the next update.
If we have cyber-gremlins, Velvet has even odds of going 9000% no chill homicide.

Yes. I'm old.
<Snipped quote by Xaltwind>

Just go for it. Try not to make it too violent though XD

No promises. D<
Be afraid, be very afraaaaiiiid~
Also, just to check for the sake of checking. @Dragonydas are we cleared to just... Capture gremlins as we see fit? Like... Can we just write up whatewver little scenario we want for the hunting down and subsequent strangulation anatching up of the little pests? Or do you want us to Pm you first and get an okay or something?

Also, Rebecca may be smelly, but she got a heart of gold. And stank.
It's a low-level forest slime that can't see, smell or hear. It has the vaguest ability to perceive things around it, but it's reflexes are hardly anything to write home about.รถ The dorf chef could've walked over, grabbed th thing by its non-existent spine and shoved down into a pot, and that woulda been fine. No need for GM approval on something small like this.

Now, if there'd been a group of slimes, or some other monsters, then I might've wanted to orchestrate the whole cause-and-effect sequence. But not for this.

@Rune_Alchemist
No need to worry. Things won't advance in my next GM post (this monday), but on the next one.
