Current The ENT doc to me: "it's not looking so good in there". I know, doc. Please fix my nose, and maybe tell the VA to approve my claim.

@Jewel - get something you can live with for the rest of your life. What is something you’d never not be passionate about? I don’t regret my tattoo; I’m removing it for another reason.

Alright, I'll have something today! I'm not getting notified whenever I'm tagged, but I just happened to look in here to get ideas for my character.
"Oh, my plans... Well, I don't have any," Denise laughed, although there was a slight trace of fear in her eyes, one that she was trying extremely hard to conceal. She smiled nervously at Faye before pouring herself another shot of the liquor and downing it, cringing at the burning sensation that it left down her throat. The coughing fit that subsequently followed made Denise tear up, but she quickly apologized to her roommate before taking a few deep breaths, the smell of the burgers that Faye was cooking helping her quite a bit.

"In all honesty, my boyfriend, or rather, ex-boyfriend, sent me a threatening message which I obviously did not appreciate." Two shots in and Denise surprised herself. Not even a moment ago she was completely opposed to the idea of sharing her personal drama with her roommate. But maybe it was the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that she let her guard down that prompted her to disclose such information. Not that Denise didn't appreciate a good girl talk, but her situation wasn't that simple. "I mean, I'm just supposed to stay with him...or else? He doesn't own me, and while I'm somewhat intimidated by him, at the same time I want to be confident enough to be able to confront him and get this crap over with."

She shook her head, sad by her own story. "But hey, those burgers you're making might make the rest of my night just a little bit better," she smiled, subconsciously changing the topic.

@Aphelion
New blood here as well...

What are some of the more successful genres?
I'll post tomorrow. New job and this week I've had to run around too.
Any small trace of her grogginess had quickly dissipated the minute Olivia was shocked into a conscious state. She was immediately alert, her mind scrambling for an answer as she slowly took in her surroundings within the odd room. A few other bodies lay scattered there with her; the majority of them, if not all, were waking up just like she was, and they had the same confused look on their face. But given the current scenario, who could blame them?

Where the hell am I? she thought to herself, propping up on one elbow before an authoritative voice came on through the loudspeaker, its unexpected presence startling Olivia. She listened quietly at first, but the longer the man spoke, the more unsettled she grew. They were supposed to kill each other...kill or be killed. Olivia obviously wasn't the least bit happy with either option, but she knew what she had to do in order to survive. When it was announced that each of them had been microchipped, Olivia felt around the back of her neck to verify, and sure enough, the bump from the alien device in her body was there as announced. A lump formed in her throat, momentarily paralyzing the young woman with fear as instructions on how they were supposed to proceed were explained to them. With a shaky hand, Olivia reached for the phone that had been given to her. She opened it and immediately saw the notification informing her there was an unread message.

Olivia looked at the name, followed by the picture, and finally her actual target.

Card, phone, microchip. Get my items, kill me target...

As soon as the doors slid open, Olivia got to her feet and sprinted out of the room. The others did the same when they scattered as soon as they were able to. Not knowing whether she was being followed or not, Olivia rushed down the path with some trees on her left. She could see something off in the distance, a small speck. Maybe that's where she needed to go—maybe it wasn't—but she couldn't sit around and contemplate a decision.
"I'll be here..."

Instead of sitting around waiting in total silence, Amy walked over and knelt next to the corpse of the alien woman. She shook off any feeling of disgust that crept up on her as she searched her up and down for anything useful to take, but eventually all she found was an additional handgun. Amy took it, as obviously she would have more use out of it than the dead chick.

"Thanks for this," she smiled before walking back past Arex and closer to the source of light where she assumed Grayson would be coming in to get them.
My main line of work has been somewhat investigative in nature, so if I have a chance to play detective, you can bet I'll take it.
@Dynamo Frokane

He's right. You posted your picture with Tim Westwood. The name drop implies he's at the very least a well-known person. I looked him up, and he's a DJ, and also 6'4. You're standing by him and at most, you're an inch or two shorter than him.

@Dynamo Frokane

I just realized you're tall, but you're being a white knight for short guys. Could have fooled me!
