Hello! I'm Yankee.
I'm usually down for pretty much anything: action, adventure, romance, horror, taboo, comedy, smut, gore, slice-of-life, etc.
I like cute, fun stories just as much as dark, gross, traumatic stories. I love fluff and whump in equal measure (well... maybe whump a lil more)
I enjoy creating original characters for RP, but I get as much enjoyment writing as canon characters in fandom-based games!
On that note I like comic books, cartoons, and videogames. I'm also very into cosplay and art!

I am a very slow writer, so my preferred posting pace is once per week or less. I usually post on weekends.
I like to have fun while writing, so I prefer relaxed partners who don't take things too seriously.
Remember: fiction =/= reality.

Feel free to PM me if you like,
however I do not check PMs immediately. Might take me a day or two... or ten to get back to you.

Forward all complaints to @stone

The news that Band hadn't made it past this morning's opponent was a little disappointing, but not terribly shocking. The Seekers of Light were all strong in mind and definitely body, and Primrose had seen Big Band fight up close before so she knew what he was capable of, but the Esaka natives lived and breathed martial arts. It would have been very naive of them to believe every Seeker entered into the tournament would go all the way, and even if they did it would mean some would have to fight against each other or throw their matches. This was getting less likely as the tourneys continued though - how many of them were left competing now? One team in King of Fighters, one representative in Tekken, now one left in World Warrior, and three in Mortal Kombat...?

It was not the outcome Primrose expected so early in, and she figured she was not alone in that. Winning the chance to face all four Esaka's Guardians via honest competing was the group's only plan at the moment, so it was troubling to think it might fall through at any moment. They had better put their heads together to come up with a contingency soon.

None of these thoughts showed on the dancer's face however. She merely nodded to accept Big Band's words, especially the last couple about people making things complicated.

"That's a good line," she told him, the corners of her mouth curling up. "You're right, though you're not out of the game just yet. Perhaps you'll get your rematch yet."

She didn't have the entire brackets of any tournament memorized, let alone all four, but it definitely wasn't impossible for Big Band to get a revenge match while going through the Losers side, especially with Sakura in the running like he'd mentioned. When she inevitably knocked Potemkin down, someone would then have to knock him out.

Ah, but maybe Band wasn't as hung up on his defeat as more gung-ho warriors would be. Primrose had cast her eyes out over the Pools but brought them back to meet Big Band's when he inquired what her plans were. She held his gaze for a few moments, mulling something over privately. She hadn't planned to bring any one else along, but if she had then among the Seekers on the Gold Team it would have been Therion or Ms. Fortune. Neither were here at the moment of course, but of the remaining allies Big Band would certainly be a reliable pick for a partner.

"Actually..." she started, her tone soft and light as she shuffled closer, impossible for any random passersby to overhear. "I did have a mind to look into how the defeated fighters come back into existence here. I'm sure you've noticed how... blasé the locals are about their favorites dying and coming back week after week. The timeline seems a little fast, no? Perhaps there's some force at work here in the city, besides that 'source engine'..."

She wanted to see when and how the spirits came back to life, if possible. To sate her own curiosity and find a clue for something she did not share with Band at the moment. Primrose held a hand out to the man as though to help him up, her palm glowing softly with her Warmth spell. She might not be able to repair his mechanical body, but any lingering pain or weariness she could do something about.

"...and I suppose I could use a savvy mind and a pair of sharp eyes~"

Their destination would be where they were most likely to find the subject of their investigation, the spirits produced by the fatalities of Mortal Kombat's Losers matches.

Prior to the weird trio's exit from the Golden Trove, Jack had snickered at the red head's little bit of self-deprecating. Yeah, that girl definitely seemed fun. Maybe a bit ditzy too, though Jack couldn't say she disliked that. She also couldn't quite remember the other woman's name after being called by name herself; Bi-something, it was on the tip of her tongue. She was going to blame it on the adjustment period for not recalling it at the moment - she was sure she'd remember soon enough anyway. As Bi-something roped the third in and started their parade down the hall, Jack dragged their feet for just a moment.

Her nostrils flared shallowly and she tilted her head up. Scent was heavily linked to memory, hadn't she heard that somewhere before? And now there was something else besides the names of the girls with her that was niggling at her brain.

What the hell, was she that tired this morning that her mind still needed waking up? Jack craned her neck over her shoulder as the scent began to fade, then made no subtle show of leaning over to sniff her new pals to see if it was them she was catching whiffs of. If not perfume, incense from another room? Patchouli, maybe?

By the time the trio hit the beach, the familiar smell had been pushed to the back of Jack's mind. There were more pressing matters at hand.

She let out a low whistle at the sight of the ocean and sand. So this was Caesar Beach now? What a transformation. It was almost sad to think about it going back to the sorry state it had been in before all this started. Almost. Since Alice and Bionca had split up pretty quick after arriving, Jack stood by her lonesome with her hands on her hips and gold tinted sunglasses hung around her neck. This was her first visit since arriving in Pax Septimus, so she was gleaning a lot of information from just listening to the other espers speak.

...most of it was unpleasant information, but still. Jack raised an arm to stroke her chin with her thumb and index finger, trying to get the cogs in her brain to start turning faster. Obviously this Dan guy wasn't trustworthy, but he also seemed to be an idiot. It took one to know one after all. So Jack figured he probably wasn't intentionally misleading anyone when he said he didn't know where the people disappearing had gone to. And at the very least he was telling the truth about there being some late arrivals, because there was at least one glaring absence among the people gathered that Jack could see. As for everything else, she wasn't sure. She did sneer at the goat and spider behind their backs as she turned away from them--

"Try harder!" she shouted as the beach balls being tossed finally sailed towards her, only for Jack to intentionally move into their path to hit headers back at the rowdy espers.

After the third headbutt in a row she let out a satisfied puff of air from her nose and placed her sunglasses onto her face. With a tap to the frame the anti-illusion enchantment activated. There was still more Jack wanted to know about the situation, like was this a true metamorphosis or just a paint over? Alright, let's start seeing how deep this magic goes.
