The news that Band hadn't made it past this morning's opponent was a little disappointing, but not terribly shocking. The Seekers of Light were all strong in mind and definitely body, and Primrose had seen Big Band fight up close before so she knew what he was capable of, but the Esaka natives lived and breathed martial arts. It would have been very naive of them to believe every Seeker entered into the tournament would go all the way, and even if they did it would mean some would have to fight against each other or throw their matches. This was getting less likely as the tourneys continued though - how many of them were left competing now? One team in King of Fighters, one representative in Tekken, now one left in World Warrior, and three in Mortal Kombat...?
It was not the outcome Primrose expected so early in, and she figured she was not alone in that. Winning the chance to face all four Esaka's Guardians via honest competing was the group's only plan at the moment, so it was troubling to think it might fall through at any moment. They had better put their heads together to come up with a contingency soon.
None of these thoughts showed on the dancer's face however. She merely nodded to accept Big Band's words, especially the last couple about people making things complicated.
"That's a good line," she told him, the corners of her mouth curling up. "You're right, though you're not out of the game just yet. Perhaps you'll get your rematch yet."
She didn't have the entire brackets of any tournament memorized, let alone all four, but it definitely wasn't impossible for Big Band to get a revenge match while going through the Losers side, especially with Sakura in the running like he'd mentioned. When she inevitably knocked Potemkin down, someone would then have to knock him out.
Ah, but maybe Band wasn't as hung up on his defeat as more gung-ho warriors would be. Primrose had cast her eyes out over the Pools but brought them back to meet Big Band's when he inquired what her plans were. She held his gaze for a few moments, mulling something over privately. She hadn't planned to bring any one else along, but if she had then among the Seekers on the Gold Team it would have been Therion or Ms. Fortune. Neither were here at the moment of course, but of the remaining allies Big Band would certainly be a reliable pick for a partner.
"Actually..." she started, her tone soft and light as she shuffled closer, impossible for any random passersby to overhear. "I did have a mind to look into how the defeated fighters come back into existence here. I'm sure you've noticed how... blasé the locals are about their favorites dying and coming back week after week. The timeline seems a little fast, no? Perhaps there's some force at work here in the city, besides that 'source engine'..."
She wanted to see when and how the spirits came back to life, if possible. To sate her own curiosity and find a clue for something she did not share with Band at the moment. Primrose held a hand out to the man as though to help him up, her palm glowing softly with her Warmth spell. She might not be able to repair his mechanical body, but any lingering pain or weariness she could do something about.
"...and I suppose I could use a savvy mind and a pair of sharp eyes~"
Their destination would be where they were most likely to find the subject of their investigation, the spirits produced by the fatalities of Mortal Kombat's Losers matches.
