Ah I see, could I also get an explanation on Fae abilities? Specifically the one regarding their conceptual alignment.

I've been dragged here and I need help. Please help me, I'm so far from home and I don't know what's going on anymore!

So you're curious what Crux is and how exactly it works. Well let me help you out.

Let's say your Fae's conceptual alignment isss...man coming up with this on the spot is a bit difficult, can't believe I'm doing this. I hope they don't notice how unsure I am...they're reading this aren't they. I'll use a simple example because they're much easier to explain (if not as fun haha).

The Fae's Crux is Reflection. As a result perhaps their glamour and/or true appearances ends up taking on the properties of their surroundings and the things and/or people in said surroundings. Perhaps they're in a forest and their skin appears more like bark or leaves, their hair like grass or vines or the sky when they pass under it. Perhaps they're in a crowd of people and their facial features alter as they pass by different individuals.

I figure they'd be able to take it a step further. They could reflect most things that come towards them, be it energy, or bullets, or arrows, or sound, light etc etc. Maybe their true body appears as if it is made from highly reflective mirror-like glass, which is sculpted into a vaguely humanoid form. You could take this concept in other directions as well, of course, but this was the first one that came to mind.

Any further questions? :)
So I'll get a post up tomorrow barring I forget or something equally troublesome. Just a bit overwhelmed from work and keeping up with a whole slew of other things.

Sorry for the wait.
Nice job!

Well, I don't think my goddess could create divine children on her own. (And I don't see her accepting love from a god, either.) If @NarcissisticPotato's okay with it though, your god might have been created by my goddess blinding the goddess of light.

Interesting thought.

<Snipped quote by Agamous Devout>

That very well could have happened! After all, Light would have been created by the Creator to banish Darkness so it would be understandable if she attacked her!

Also, that idea of @yoshua171's character being created by the blinding of the goddess of light could be very interesting! Maybe we could say that whenever she cut her eyes out, her true light bled into the abyss and this new God was formed?

Huh. Well, that might work considering the essence of light being mixed with the essence of something like the Abyss might have rather...paradoxical results (hence his abilities).

I feel like he'd need a bit of relation with life, corruption, and the void to be what he is.

Almost like The God of life's hated son, or something.

I say this because The Eldritch God is capable of creating, drawing forth, and altering himself into the likeness of Eldritch forces, abominations, or (at his strongest) manifesting whole locations of such nature.

Since the Eldritch beings are a sort of twisted form of life, I'd say chaos and the void are involved. Since htey are life, life would be involved. At least that's my reasoning...idk.

Further Ideas?
Sooo, @Pie Flavor would you mind if my god is Fenox's half brother?

Also, @Agamous Devout would you mind if my god is your god's son? This may include my god sharing, or possessing a derivative of, the Abyss (aka his mother's realm if you're willing).

@Zoghor I plan to make a god of the Eldritch and Paradoxical. Is this okay with you? I'm also likely to fill out not only the main CS, but put another, perhaps longer one, beneath that one in a hider so I can flesh out other details and/or limitations. Thoughts?

If I could post a picture of an anime girl blushing, I would.

Unfortunately, that is against Man code.

So instead I shall say thank you, I'm glad my humour is not entirely wasted :)

I'll also click the "Thank" button on your post. I don't know if there's a points system in play on this forum, but if anything, it should amount to some street cred.

Be like, "OMFG ZOGHOR THANKED MY POST O.O" on facebook or whatever it is people use these days.

You could even screen shot it, email it to me, I'd then sign it and send it back - you could then print off a copy and frame it.

So, Celaira has been updating me on this whole amusing conversation, and at this point I see cause to respond as well.

HA!

Also, I just read over the OP and have taken, at the very least, a passing interest in this. I must go to work now, but while I do so, I am likely to begin considering ideas as to a god to enter. Hehehe...this is gonna be fun.
Casana, G. Lecor

It was too bad that Alexis didn't know how her opponent's weapon really worked. As the chakram struck where the girl had been, its edges sharpened further and expanded out four inches from the blade, using the force behind the blow in that moment to cut into the building. Once they had dug in properly, the edges of the chakram that had been sharp expanded outwards, becoming thick, and locking the chakram into the building.

It was an anchor point.

However, Alexis didn't see any of it, for she flew forth, attempting to close the distance between them, thinking Casana incapable of movement due to her being airborne. She was dead wrong. Pulling, Casana moved herself forwards in the air, using the chain as leverage, even as she swung the other chakram around her body. By now Alexis was a mere 3 meters away and counting.

Casana let the chain of her anchored chakram fall somewhat, creating some slack, before it stiffened, her foot touched it, and she moved herself into a high speed spin. As Alexis came to be 2 meters away this occured and as she reared back her fist for a punch, Casana was spinning, the chakram she'd spun around her form--causing it to wrap around her--whirling off of her. She had turned it from a blade to a blunt object with enough momentum behind it to send Alexis flying once more the moment it hit her, which it likely would as she was almost certainly too close to dodge. The whole time, Casana wore a fierce grin, her eyes gleaming with the same ferocity.
Sorry for the delay! Moving back into the things of "normality" took a little longer than expected.

Floor's all yours, Yoshua!

Noted, real busy for today and tomorrow, but I'll see if I can get up a post soon.
Guys, can we move to evening? Also having time go a bit quicker IC might be something to consider if we want future events to happen in this calendar year (like the academy tragedy which shouldn't happen on the 4th day of school). Maybe is we only spend two-three weeks real time (give or take, depending on the situation) on a single IC day?

I know this was already answered, but I don't see why you don't just write something in the evening, there's literally no reason (that I am aware of) that stops you from doing so.

Yeah I know that we can play around with the current day time but not everything can happen in the same day. My point is what Fallen said, making a graph of all the thing that have happened to Hazumi thus far makes the day seem ridiculously long and busy. Example: Hazumi's attended a ball, met with Aaurus, met with Szayeis, met with Ian and slept all in the span of less than 24 hours.

Meanwhile some things like relationships take longer to bud and can't all happen in the span of 3 days.
The reason why I'd prefer a RT limit over an outright timeskip is because we can still add events in the first system. If we do a timeskip of a week its assuming nothing happened (unless we narrate) while with time limits we can still post if we want to or sit it out if we don't. For example, two characters are hooking up but haven't seen each other in a week. The players sit it out and don't post for 1-2 weeks. Meanwhile someone is kidnapped and the players involved post 3 collabs in that week. Do you get my drift?

<Snipped quote by Wind Wild>

Not really, I'll have someone explain it to me later. As to the point about the ball--which happened on a different day--and whatnot. It's normal for people to have a bunch of meetings in a day, especially someone like Hazumi. It makes sense to me that it would feel like her day is dragging on. Plus, it's like day three and not that much has happened in terms of big shifts so I'm pretty content considering S1 only lasted 4 IC Days, I'd be pretty upset if that was the case here. I don't mind the 1 week time skips save for the fact it would make more work out of this than is really necessary.

So the issue here is that there isn't really a solution that works for everyone.

Doing several day long or week long time skips means that everyone has to collaborate anyways to figure out what happened in the period of time we decide(d) to skip. If this were set in a world without magic and excessive amounts of conflict and intrigue, it might make more sense--but that's not the world our characters live in.

Why do I say this? Because you skip two days, maybe even one, someone could've been attacked. Someone could be kidnapped (as Fallen mentioned) the Academy could be assaulted. A gang war could break out in Loom, or Kenan. A weather angel could descend on a city and wreak havoc.

A bunch of drug traffickers could start causing a shitton of problems. Maybe Logan strikes, maybe Solus confronts Hazumi for some reason. Maybe Emmet heals and escapes where he is. For any and all of these situations we wouldn't know the specifics of how and why these different events happen, and I'm sure all of you are quite aware as to how important those specifics can be as more than once if those things were not there they'd change the whole dynamic of interactions between any number of characters.

Conversely, if we decided to have a set amount of time that we take on a given day people get left out of posting that day. What if they wanted their character to interact with someone else's and the day changes. Yeah they can have a flashback, but the problem with those is that they may, and often do, effect how those involved think and act in the future, even if only subtly.

A perfect example is how Hazumi's thought process has changed a few times when talking to Lazarus. Now imagine you got skipped over, hadn't written that, and the day changes. Hazumi isn't thinking about the issues she would be if she had encountered Lazarus, and when you do get around to writing that flashback it wouldn't match up to her behavior during the day after its occurrence.

I'm not against finding some system that works. I am against breaking immersion and continuity. I am not trying to shoot down those attempting to figure out solutions, I'm merely pointing out the flaws.

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way.

Thank you for your time.
