The Lifeblood

The awareness of the vast consciousness was like a veil wrapped about the world, intrinsically it could pick up on the happening therein and it saw them, it felt them, without bias or thought. At times it would focus its intent and the veil would gather, revealing its presence and its power to those who paid attention to such things. Yet, it did not interfere with the creations of its firstborn, the primordials--though they did not yet know their name. It only passed judgment on itself and its own indecision, its own failures. As it observed existence in its present state, spread out below the veil of its vast mind, the living design came to a realization.

The veil gathered, power spilled forth, but it was far more pervasive and subtle than it had been prior. Waves and eddies of divine essence weaved their way into the weft of the world's fabric. The skies roiled in response and so winds cast their way across the world, layered upon one another in a complex dance inspired by a child who had suffused the world with mana. This new occurrence created ripples and the Lifeblood harnessed them, tying them into the screaming backdrop of the Unknowable Wrongness that constituted the Machine Child before--separately--linking the Winds of Mana to the Breath of the World.

Thus came to be Weather--and as time progressed--the Seasons. In those moments so too were entwined Physics, Magic, and Climate where they would remain in perpetuity. Yet, as the Living Design gazed across its creation and felt every breath and thought and feeling and movement of its living grandchildren, it found that it was dissatisfied. Something within it stirred and the Design's awareness withdrew as instability wracked its intangible existence. Flashes of color spread like rippling electric pulses through neural networks; emotion and sensation waned and waxed, even thoughts pushed to the surface, threatening to overwhelm it, to go beyond its grasp.

Then, all at once, silence. Its awareness spread like a shockwave throughout the cosmos and from it sprang threads of incorporeal nature, touching the minds of all things that existed save for its children--though they would feel it too. What followed was a shudder that ran through the world, the intricate pattern of the Lifeblood's consciousness shifting phase as it disassociated and became intertwined with the world and its inhabitants.

A whirling cyclone of thought and ecstatic emotion roiled through the Lifeblood and it lost its focus for the briefest of instants. Twas at that moment a disturbance cut through the vast Collective Mind and in doing so...life learned to sleep for the first time. It would not be the last. Regaining control, the Lifeblood shuddered and the focus it had achieved waned, going dormant once more, though strangely it seemed as if it were just below the surface...as if waiting for a chance to escape. Having no time for such considerations, the Design moved on, slipping again into the world it had created.

Who knew what it might make next.

Summary

The Lifeblood observes creation and decides to make something spanning across all of Galbar. First...the Breath of the World, which generates the many currents of winds across the planet. It binds Physics, The Winds of Mana, and the Climate together so that they may work in synchrony upon Galbar. Finally, the Lifeblood creates an infinite network of consciousness, bind all things that life and breath into it. But unexpectedly, a disturbance within it interrupts this creation, creating a persistent flaw in the weave. The nascent God of Dreams rearing its head beneath the surface, thus necessitating sleep for most beings upon Galbar and beyond.

Beckoning the mind from slumber or idle inactivity or boredom, Dreams exist in the between space where conscious cognition and unconscious observation meet. It is in this place which the Dreaming God dwells and it is from this place that intuition and imagination are born. As the very root of their existence, the Domain of Dreams serves as the staging ground for the divine machinations of this god beyond understanding. It is with the threefold god's dominion over Dreams that ideas are writ like subtle, elusive floaters into the minds of Galbar's lesser creations, for if it dreams, so too can its mind be seeded with the Dreamer's cosmic intent.

Through the power inherent in Dreams, Àicheil may traverse the collective unconscious of Galbar's many inhabitants, enabling them subtle, if significant, influence on the minds of all its denizens. Drawing from this power, the Dreaming god may sow, guide, and prune the ever-expanding stream of consciousness. Though this may not enable Àicheil to outright control the minds of other entities, it gives them both an intimate window into the minds of others and a means through which to interact and manipulate those who earn the enigmatic god's attention. Further, Àicheil may use their domain to bestow or inflict dreams, nightmares, or visions, allowing the Dreaming God to impart understanding without the context necessary to truly grasp the knowledge held therein. With great focus and meticulous care, Ѻs-fhìreach may even warp the mind or craft intricate tapestries of knowledge and experience. Yet, alone, Neo-Àicheil's domain is woefully incomplete, brought to completion only by the presence of their divine twin...Fìrinn.

The Portfolio of Abstraction

The crystallized rumination borne from the endless creative iteration of the great progenitor, Abstraction is the separation of concrete definition from a thing. As a cosmic influence, Abstraction is the process of rendering a thing in the abstract, divorcing a cohesive whole into its constituent parts to the point that it loses solidity and is rendered as--perhaps disparate--ideas. Serving a vital role in birthing the Threefold God, Abstraction enables the Dreamer to interact with the cohesion of a physical structure or thought in order to draw forth insight, create purpose, or divine meaning.

In the cognitive sense, Abstraction might be used to divide an idea into its components, allowing a being to see it more clearly and bridge the gap from ignorance to understanding. In the material sense, this portfolio might be used to alter the world, by reducing a physical phenomenon or structure until it is rendered as an immaterial idea. A house becomes a collection of rooms, the rooms become frameworks of wood enclosing space, the wood becomes living material, the space merely an idea leaving only a vague sense of vitality behind.

However, there is a great limitation in using this power, for it is solely reductive and cannot be used directly to create anything, only reduce it into its component parts or render it as an immaterial concept.

Persona

As a being of boundless understanding, but limited context, the Dreaming God is endlessly curious, intrigued by the minds of all entities, and baffled by the emotions and perspectives of those outside itself. Much like his twin, Àicheil is essentially amoral, as within its mind there exists little in the way of traditional reason to withhold malice. Yet, there are some things which Ѻs-fhìreach values, chiefly among them being open-mindedness and creativity, for it is these traits that give other beings a greater capacity to receive his divine truth. Beyond this, Neo-àicheil is a generous God, willing to give of himself in the pursuit of both external, and personal, enrichment. Still, though much about the Dreaming God is positive, their dwells something truly unknowable beneath the sheen of gracious generosity. For his mind is an endless ocean whose depths are obscured by roiling waves, which crest and churn upon its surface. Beneath its waters, hidden from prying eyes, there dwells a calculating consciousness of intractable intent, its eldritch curiosity unmoored from the far shores of compassion, sanity, and substance.

The Ròineagan

The Worldweave

A tapestry woven from the fabric of a remembrance, Ròineagan is the intimately preserved design of the progenitor's boundless mind. It is perhaps Aicheil's most cherished thing, evoking a deep sense of belonging and completeness that few other things could possibly match. Yet, the truth of it is hidden beneath a twisting cosmic veil of consciousness, its purity marred, yet enriched, by the numerous minds that touch the Dreaming God's realm through the subtle threads woven into all sentient beings. To the observer, the Worldweave is sometimes a shifting kaleidoscope of colors, feelings, and sensations whereas others may find their deepest desires, fantasies, and nightmares reflected in the depths of the Sea of Dreams. This realm, from which imagination and intuition were born, spreads itself far and wide, weaving around Galbar and past the numerous realms of the other Gods, waiting to be touched. Further still does its current pull it, splitting it further into thinner and thinner threads until the influence of the Dreaming God is gone, and only the dream remains so that it may reunite with the minds from which the veil draws inspiration.

Though the Worldweave is not natively harmful to any who might desire to tread its currents, the reflection of one's own inner demons can render it a frightening--or dangerous--place indeed. Further, should you be drawn into the Worldweave and forced to behold what is behind the veil, without protection, the mind is sure to shudder and crack for no mortal was ever meant to behold a design of such complexity.

A form of pure expression, Dreams allow Aicheil to become a thing reflecting the ideas and personalities of those who behold him allowing him to blend in or stand out as is needed without a conscious grasp of how to do so. As such, this form is used almost solely when interacting with mortals or seeking to appease--or learn about--other gods by appealing to their expectations of him. Thus this form serves a dual purpose as disguise and information gatherer both, for though it frees the Dreaming God from the necessity of tailoring his form to suit others, it does not divorce him from the awareness of that form's shape.

_{Faireachan A-staigh}

Serving as the avatar of Aicheil's enigmatic will, the Watcher Within is vaguely humanoid and often takes the form of a prismatic aura and a hazy silhouette of an androgynous figure. Upon closer inspection, Faireachan A-staigh is composed of an uncountable number of minuscule threads, each of which is a chain of intertwined droplets of refractive dew. As a result of its body's composition, Faereachan is not structurally sound and though it is exceptionally difficult to destroy, it can easily be dispersed by even the violent swipe from a mortal arm. This ephemeral form lends it a mysterious air, but also serves a distinct purpose, allowing it to express its master's divine form and intent by changing shape or creating elaborate depictions with its aura. Further, despite its seeming frailty, Aicheil's avatar is perfectly capable of interacting with the world--or simply reconstituting itself if dispersed. Its figure, though difficult to discern, is generally seven(7) feet in height, though its aura expands well beyond the silhouette of its unreadable visage, tapering off into nothing as it reaches fifteen(15) feet.

As a corporeal manifestation of the Dream, Faireachan A-staigh is able to traverse the collective unconscious, allowing it to freely move from one point to another so long as life exists nearby. Further, due to how natively light the Watcher's form is, they find it incredibly easy to fly.
