Current Attn teeny boppers: You realize adbots aren't ppl, yes? They randomly generate login info, then execute pre-programmed posts. Your rage-spam goes unheard by the machine. And is equally annoying.

If you're going by UK conventions of knighthood/nobility, yes. It also would be pronounced like the "dam" in "madame," rather than like a Dick Tracy "daym."

Me: "Goku, thank God you're here!" Goku: "I heard a really strong guy was here! Lemme at him!" Me: "He's right there!" *Points at my Writer's Block* Goku: "... Sorry bud you're on your own."

@GodOfWarAny problems with mine? It's on the first page, but I forgot to mention you.
Here's my character submission, I changed a few things with the formatting and added a backstory. Let me know if I need to change anything or clarify any details.

Here's the rough draft for the custom weapon I had in mind. Let me know if there are any issues with balance or anything like that. I tried to make them a bit like Dual Blades, but whereas those weapons increase your mobility the higher you get the Archdemon gauge, with speed boosts and changing the roll to a dash, I wanted the Gauntlets to increase damage output and add a little versatility to how the player could attack the monster.

@GodOfWarWould we have the possibility of hunting the old monsters in-between "key quests" or in the event that a player controlling an OG-Monster gets busy, something like that? And will we be spending time with Gathering or Small Monster quests in order to get materials, or will this solely be focused around the big hunts?

I'll start working on a character, the Item sheet for the Gauntlets, and a Monster. Do you want the rough drafts posted here/in the OOC, or would you rather I PM them?
Potentially interested, but a few questions. Since you talk about some pretty dramatic changes due to this continental shift and have a CS for Monsters, is this still taking place in the established Monster Hunter world or in a new setting? Will the CS-made Monsters be the only ones we hunt, or will all the ones from the games be present too? Will we have the option of creating new types of weapons, or are we sticking with the ones from the games? Specifically I kind of have an idea for Gauntlets, but I'd be fine using just what's already available.

Finally, will the exploration of this newly discovered land and the study of its new monsters be the only "plot," or do you have something else planned? I know, "Plot in a Monster Hunter game? What is this madness?" but I've participated in RPs before where players are part of a guild or a special group or whatever and the main idea is "You take a mission and go do the thing and get rewards" but they tend to fall apart with no real overarching purpose. Even something simple like in Tri/3U where we're helping to build and repair a ruined village would help.

Training Ground Echo > Point A

@pkken"Come with me if ya want, Roy-kun...but no offense, keepin' up with me probably ain't happenin'."

As they finalized their positions, Yoshida-sensei's voice came over the intercom.

"Alright students, I will recite the conditions to win one more time. Control 2/3 points dominantly or incapacitate the opposing team. Just don't kill each other alright, you may--"

Kenichi's nostrils flared, twin streams of air making a sound like an air compressor in reverse.

"--begin!"

The blue-hair shot off so fast that when Acion launched himself and Mamoru into the skies, the winged boy felt a slipstream pulling at him for several seconds. Earlier that day, Kenichi had blasted through the corridor with Isshin in roughly three seconds. As he had taken note of then, that hallway was about a hundred meters long. That put him at a speed of nearly 75 miles an hour, or 120 kilometers. Moving so fast wasn't without its dangers--Kenichi's quirk made him strong and fast, but not necessarily tough. He might be a little tougher than average, because his body had adapted to his powers over the course of his life, and for the same reason his reflexes and kinetic vision were a little better. But tripping, or running into something, or overshooting a turn were still very real problems for him. So after the initial start he actually began reigning in his speed little by little, making use of the many obstacles and the wide-spread layout of the field to do so. A sweeping arc towards the edge of Echo, then up and over a bundle of concrete pipes, up the extended arm of an old backhoe like a ramp and out into open air. He wasn't exactly a traceur, but his sheer physical ability let him perform similar feats. He whooped as he flew, then landed with a thump and shot off again.

This meandering route had another purpose besides helping him control his speed. It let him take in what was actually present on the field besides the three control points--after all, the teams would have to move between them, and the best paths between each one might not be the most direct. It all depended on what was in the way, and whether or not one's purpose was to avoid or engage an enemy that might be coming from the other direction.

He closed in on Point A not long after the initial announcement. He had thought he would be the first one there, for sure...but he heard what sounded like a car door slamming, and then a motor running as said vehicle took off. What? Who had a car? Surely Alpha team didn't have someone who could transform into or create an entire vehicle? That wasn't cool, why didn't Delta team get a car!? All they had was a dude with wings, and he could only carry one person at a time!

He lowered his stance somewhat, this time picking up speed, and headed for a flat piece of wood that lay slanted against a storage container. Again he ramped up it and shot into the air, sailing up for a bird's eye view of Point A with a shout.

"YOSHIDA KENICHI, COMIN' THROUGH!"

@FeyblueAnd below him was...
I'm already working things out with someone, but provided Kenichi makes it through that if anyone wants to fight him (since he's more than likely going to run around the whole field picking fights instead of holding a point, unless his team mates can convince him otherwise) I'm open to discussing it over PM so that we can get some good character growth out of it instead of just making it solely about winning PvP.

On the Road...or In the Skies

@AmbraGorou tensed nervously as Rhea half-turned towards him, her animosity flaring like a newly lit torch. He had misjudged the situation, badly at that. He bowed his head and turned his gaze away, since he couldn't really make the bow that deep because of their riding position.

"My deepest apologies; I didn't mean to imply anything on your part." he said. "I'm certain you are immensely capable. I only meant that..." He looked down upon the traveling party, where the Prince was--as always it seemed--surrounded by others vying for his attention, and of course laughing all the while.

"...It's just that, everyone gravitates towards the Prince. The townspeople, our allies, the nobles of the court. Of course, we're all loyal to him. But I wanted to try and express that I would not overlook you, or the others around us. The Prince's life is not the only one that matters to me. Forgive me if I was untoward."

He sat in silence after that, listening as Rhea explained their route. When she snapped at him earlier, he heard something else beneath the anger in her voice, but he had already pressed her enough. He had tried to ease her suspicions, yet it seemed in doing so he had created a mistrust born not out of healthy judgement, but now genuine dislike. It would probably be better now to remain speechless--he had tried to explain himself the best he could, and anything more than that would probably just make things worse. He suppressed a sigh as he thought back to how this trip had begun. First with Miss Jauna, making trouble for her courtly reputation because he had broken his usual habit of keeping himself to himself, and now with Dame Rhea who was actively angry at him. Of course. He had never been able to handle people...only the sword.

Bolsan...that was about half a day's journey, on horseback. Considering they left Greymont in the morning, they would arrive not long after noon if they kept a brisk speed. Did that mean they would continue for the other half of the day? Although Banidrek might be a bit too far to reach before dark, they could make it before midnight if they rode on, or at the very least camp in the wilderness and get an early head start the next day. Then again, that might be too much for this group--Gorou was used to walking long distances, and he was sure those with military training could hold a march, but several of the others probably couldn't maintain that pace. Sir Maize might also have business in the towns they passed--no doubt the King would want to be kept well informed of his son's position, so taking the time to write regular reports and send them via local messengers would mean that they'd need to have more frequent stop-overs.

Also, he now finally had the answer to his questions: they would be engaging the pirate fleets in the north, to try and cut off the head. Gorou frowned slightly; it wasn't the strategy he would have chosen. The pirates could very well just select a new leader, or each different crew would assert their independence, and ultimately their level of activity wouldn't change that much. Not unless they were somehow conveniently all gathered in one place and the suppression force took out a huge number of them all at once--but then, that would require greater manpower than they currently had, and a more extensive war than they had planned for. But, he had taken the job, and now he had to see it through.

He turned now to scanning the roads and the wilderness beneath them, keeping a lookout for bandits. The Kingsroad was typically well-patrolled, and a contingent of what were clearly nobles and knights would not seem nearly as easy a target as a merchant caravan, but sometimes men were just desperate enough to do something foolish. Or, considering they were riding with the Prince, they might encounter some form of politically motivated enemy...but Gorou didn't think the royal family was disliked enough for someone in their own country to try and assassinate Eli, and they were very far from both the pirates and Ancaras at this point. Still, it never hurt to be vigilant.

@pkkenWill there be a starting signal, or are we supposed to go ahead as soon as we have a plan/collab hammered out?
