@Shiny Keldeo Awesome! Yes, I like Sonic Boom's Amy design, I hope you don't mind. The proportions are easier for me to imagine than the more traditional Sonic look. Plus, I like the outfit. I had that fanart redesigned picked out but I don't think that fits a kid Amy. So, I'm good to go! Thanks for working this out with me.

As she went, she realised she was putting herself in a vulnerable position. She hadn't even thought about that! Fortunately her teammates had her back. Instinctually her cat tail coiled inward, nervous at the idea of getting snapped up by a giant eel. If it wasn't for the other Seekers, she'd have been in an even worse spot then Bella was. Good thing they had her back. The Atomos was also saved by Link and his cool magic abilities. A bead of nervous sweat dripped down her forehead as she realised that.

Growling, she pulled her fingers out from between the teeth of the eel, briefly placing her index finger in her mouth. Ouch. Stupid thing was stronger than her. Bella suggested just smacking it really hard, like it was a TV that wasn't working. Nodding, Sakura knitted her fingers together to form a singular heavy fist. Time for the Otoshi, or Sakura Drop. She raised her arms over her head.

"Ichi, ni,-san!" Each syllable was a forceful exhalation of air as she slammed her fists onto the eel's head. Three hammer blows in quick succession, creating the opening Bella needed. When she was told to jump, she jumped. Sakura had been on the receiving end of Bella's rail cannon once before. She didn't need to be told twice. Sakura leaned off to the side and kicked off the tentacle. She flipped in the air and landed gracefully on her feet. They were being covered by Rika and the others. But she still didn't want Bella falling head first into the water.

Hopefully if she could halt Bella's charge with an uppercut, she could prevent her from getting soaked with a catch. Especially since she just got that new sundress. The street fighter reached her hands out to catch her friend. Sakura's legs sank into the water as her harness dispersed the impact. That way Bella wouldn't feel it as bad. Bella was bigger than her and that tail was heavy, but Sakura felt confident she could manage it. If Bella fell underwater and got snatched by a fish, that'd be no good.

"Careful!" She said, guiding Bella back to her feet. Sakura rolled her shoulders briefly. Her eyes naturally drifted back to the epic battle unfolding.

The big purple guy was looking much better, which made Sakura feel happy. He was, understandably, very upset. But even then it seemed like that little girl monster couldn't help but antagonize everyone in the world. The big purle monster was bit by an eel and he once again got embroiled in this conflict. Sakura was more than happy to just leave now and let those two get back to sorting it out. It looked like the big guy could probably win if he wasn't being blasted by cannons and...hadokens.

Bowser-san, however, was taking a very aggressive approach. Sakura wasn't sure what he was planning. Tentalus' presence was both helpful and unhelpful, but hey, at least he wasn't dead, right? Nobody deserved to have their eyes ripped out and used as projectiles. That was definitely against the Geneva Conventions.

But she wasn't sure what to do. Sure, she could, hypothetically, scale that mountain. If she had two hours and a bag of trail mix. Bowser was at some points flying up the wall, had massive claws and...literally turned into a cat. What a bizarre set of powers Bowser had. Could he do that in the video game? Maybe he was from Super Mario Brothers 25 or something. All she knew was that helping Bowser directly was out of the question. He was well out of her range. Especially since if one of those nasty green fireballs missed, they'd probably blow her up as she was trying to climb up. So, she'd have to just support him from the ground.

"I'll help protect you, Bella." Sakura said, lifting her legs from the water as fast as she could. "Use that tail of yours to help out Bowser-san!" With that Sakura took a fighting stance. She'd follow Bella wherever she decided to go. She began rattling off some cannon fire to blow up some evil fish that were nearby. If any of the evil tentacle eels tried to bite any of her friends, she would intercept. She was defending the artillery brigade, as it were.

"Geralt-san! Rika-san! We should stick together!" She said, trying to gather up the Atomos crew that jumped out. Excluding Bowser, of course. "You guys should shoot whatever tries to get King Bowser!"

Sakura's primary focus was defending Bella so she could do her thing without being interrupted.

Jesse Faden blinked in surprise as she noticed what the old man just did. That seemed like an Object of Power to her. It was that quiet?! No wonder nobody had caught him yet! He could mess with the fabric of reality right under everyone's noses. If what she remembered from previous crime scenes was correct, then that door wasn't moving anywhere any time soon. They would be welded in place, impossibly difficult to move.

(Shit! He's inside. Will he come out the same way he came in? Doubt it.) She mused. She ignored the odd looks she got, descending back down from the rooftops. She figured he would...she didn't know what she thought. Her mind felt all messed up for reasons she couldn't understand. The exasperation at her repeated failure to catch this guy didn't help, either.

Jesse jumped, rolling the disperse the impact and going into a fast jog. She approached the two guards. "Jesse Faden, FBC." She said. She reached into her jacket pocket, pulled her wallet out, and showed her ID badge. Was there such a thing as federal jurisdiction while in a different dimension? Probably not. But maybe it would lend some authority to her presence.

(All I know is, I've never gotten to say that before. I think I sounded pretty cool.) "The museum is being robbed." She simply, looking between the two masked figures. Hard to read. They were also very kooky looking guards. But hey, she wasn't going to judge. Jesse had worked security before- so she could relate to these guys. Ideally they would leave the fighting to her. This paracriminal was well above their paygrade.

"That crime spree that's been going around has come to the museum. We're looking for an older white human male in a labcoat. He's sealed the front doors shut." She explained quickly and efficiently. "Are there any alternative entrances into the building? Backdoor, breakable windows, roof access?" Jesse asked. If so, she would follow them to it and try to get inside. If not, she would have to figure something else out.

@Shiny Keldeo Great!

Okay. So. Is weirdo Amy here good to go? Can I put her in the characters section? Just want to make sure it's all cool

Samantha Goldhill snorted awake, a thin line of drool connecting her lip to the bed sheets. Somehow, her pillow had ended up on the ground. The sheets of her bed were a mess- she hadn't made them in a while. Her dirty blonde hair was a mess, frazzled up in places and hanging down in loose strands. Blearily she squinted, trying to figure out whether or not she truly existed. She did. Was she...already in her clothes? She glanced down. Yeah.

At some point she had managed to pull on a loose white crop top and a high-waisted skirt of similar color that came down to her knees. The crop top hung over the waistband of her skirt. There were some sand-color leggings tucked into high socks. Oh, yeah, it was fashion statement o'clock. Did Sammy just put her clothes on in the wrong order? That was for her to forget, and for you to never find out. Topping it all off with some sneakers. The entire outfit smelled like wood.

"Yeah, dude. I am...so up right now. You don't even know." Sammy lied, voice deep and tired. She ran a hand down her face. Untangling herself from her bedsheet nightmare, the highschooler clambered to her feet. Squinting, she turned the face of her digital alarm clock to face her. It was past seven thirty, already. Why did she have to get up today? Oh, school. Right. She reached up and touched her hair. It was...wet? Just a little. Memories came to her slowly. She had gotten up at about 5:30 AM, taken a shower, ate some breakfast, and then accidentally fallen back asleep. Oops.

As Sammy thought about this, she realised her eyes had already closed and she was laying back down on her bed. Slapping herself lightly on the side of the face she disconnected from the matress and glanced around the room. It was..a mess. Thankfully Andromeda stayed out of here. It was one thing if her bedroom back home was mess. She had hoped to keep this place in better shape. It was also bare, undecorated, not a lot of personality of charm in it. There was a framed selfie of her and her dad on the nightstand. That was about it.

Resting in a pile on the floor was a very large and baggy black jacket with white outlines. Kneeling over she appreciated the symbol over the front pocket. It both looked like a bunny rabbit and the sign of the horns. Smiling, bags under her eyes, she shouldered it. She reached into the lower pocket and found the familiar stained steel of her lighter. This was the part where she mentioned she was casually able to create fire out of her finger tips. Sammy had accepted this newfound reality without question. She always knew she was magical. She rolled the lighter between her fingers for a few moments and stared at her beside drawer.

It was going to be a long day. She'd need a pick-me-up later. She pulled it open and pulled out her half-used pack of plain packaged cigarettes. Carefully she tucked them in her other pocket, and there would her hands stay for the rest of the day. Also, her cellphone. Sammy grabbed it and placed it next to the cigarettes. It was a tiny, amber colored flip phone. The kind that flung themselves open and clapped themsleves shut. Apparently she had gotten a text, but...she didn't feel like reading it. She turned her flip phone off completely and placed it in her pocket for safe keeping.

The blonde girl, shoulders slumped, eyebrows perpetually a little confused, shuffled out of their shared fancy suite and into the hallway. She raised a hand in greeting towards her suitemate, Andromeda. "Hey, hey. How's it hangin'?" She stuffed her hands back in her jacket pockets.

She trailed behind Romi as they walked to class. "So. We gonna like, do the thing? With the ghosts and all that? You really think they'll, like, pick up the phone or whatever? If I was a ghost, I'd just wanna chill out in the afterlife forever withouttabuncha meatbags trying to disturb my eternal slumber, y'know." Sammy yawned.

"But, hey. It should be fun. Ghosts are cool. I wonder if they have bad sleep schedules, so that's why they only come out at night. Like me." Sammy mused, her dark green eyes perpetually half-lidded. This was her default sate of being.

Jesse tensed up a little, crossing her arms and straightening her back against the wall.

(Shit. Did I really just get clocked by some random kid? I'm not that much of a weirdo, am I?)

(...)

(Don't answer that.)

Jesse watched the travelling group go into the museum. Creepy scientist guy was also someone on her radar. Really, though, she couldn't know until someone made a move. If she thought every strange looking person could be a suspect, then she'd never get anywhere. All she knew was this museum was the perfect place for this phantom thief, whoever they were, to strike. Hopefully she'd be able to sense the Object of Power, or Polaris would be able to point her in the right direction. Things like that were tricky, though. Polaris could only see so much, and what she could act upon was made even less apparent to Jesse.

The group of people walked into the museum itself. Jesse was beginning to wonder if that was a good or bad idea. According to her research, bypassing walls was not an issue for this paracriminal. She figured trying to prevent the theft itself was pointless. Unfortunately, such an option was lost to her when the guard shut the gate. At capacity. Polaris, however, indicated the group of strangers that entered the museum. A light blue kaleidoscope of glass formed around one in particular's head. Now that she thought about it...something about them was strange, too. Jesse couldn't exactly put her finger on it. Did they have something to do with the Resonance problem? Someone had to know something, right? From what she had gathered so far, everyone chose to stay away from the ruined city in the North. Which was reasonable. But those well-dressed humans were also different from everyone else she had seen thus far. They would require further study, too.

(One problem at a time. Let's just kill time until something interesting happens. If you have any clues though, I'd love to hear them.) Jesse squinted up at a building across the street.

(Maybe it would be better if we got a vantage point?) Jesse pushed off the wall she was leaning against and walked across the street. Once she was to the building, she made an effort to find a way ontop of the roof. Jesse wasn't a parkour expert, but she had a good sense of balance and was athletic. Hopefully in all the hustle and bustle of Al Mamoon nobody would bother her.

"Hup-" She pulled herself onto the one storey building and crouched down. She tried to see over the wall and also tried to follow the group of kids, that painter, and that weird old guy with her eyes.
@Shiny Keldeo It's fine, it's really fine. I understand completely! I'm just trying to be clear, I'm not like...offended, or anything, lol.

Okay, so you're saying that her backstory should be longer? Because she's already been on many adventures with Sonic and friends? I was keeping that vague so we could plot it out later if we wanted since I wasn't sure if this was a totally new timeline or not. So, the Amy here is a very experienced bot-smasher, then, because she's been on lots of adventures with Sonic and friends. Cool, cool.

Do I have to...go into detail about it...though? Lol? Because there's like a million Sonic games between SA1 and Forces. And I haven't even come close to playing all of them.

Okay, I'll fix the age. So, what do you mean by modern incarnation? How would you want me to adjust her personality? Is it a requirement? And if so...why, lol. I guess I am a little disappointed, I know you said it was your bad about the 'classic character' part but- I mean I haven't read any sonic comics. So I was kind of hoping to do my own thing a little bit instead of just getting a comic book character wrong, lol.
@Shiny Keldeo

I wasn't sure how old the rest of the cast was, I assumed Sonic was around this age as well. Since he was a freedom fighter who was working with someone who became a senator. Should I put her to like, 12 or something? obviously she's not going to be crushing on Sonic if he's a kid and she's not.

I know she doesn't need much reinvention, I like Amy, I just thought that was something we could do for fun. Like "new spin on a classic character" I assumed that meant we could have creative liberties.

Here's my submission for a new spin on a classic character. I'm kind of jumping in out of nowhere here but I had the itch to write this character out, so, here goes. Let me know if I need to change anything. I kept things particularly vague in relation to her affiliation with the main plot line just so I could work it out with the GM or other players at a later date.

edit: adjusted Amy's age and picture
