"... Er..."

A snake? Irial didn't know anything about snakes, unless they were the spectral, summoned sort. She took a step back, raising her staff, but it seemed it was already being handled. Good. She didn't want to try and determine if it was poisonous or anything like that. She had no interest in doing anything of that sort. Her attention moved back to the wreck... and then to... a human girl? Yes, a girl who had been on board the ship... one who looked rather worse for wear. Jeez, why hadn't she made herself more noticeable before? She looked green in the face, blubbering and ill... she could have said something, seriously.

With a sigh, the small elf girl approached, frowning deeply.

"It would probably be best if you stopped squirming around," she said, "That can't make you feel any better. Er..."

Healing wasn't the small girl's specialty. However, she could guess at the fact that the larger girl should probably not be on her feet, and rather should be sitting in the shade until she recovered. After all, though Irial wouldn't admit it, seeing someone looking like that was rather concerning. She didn't want the other girl to get sick.

Masaru glanced at the kitsune girl and the garuda went off to go handle the snake without him, a decision that he much preferred to the alternative of 'throw punches and hope the snake sucks at dodging'. Nodding his head as he moved aside for those two, the oni nodded his head and headed out to check the final supply count. For the most part, aside from that crate of hardtack (assuming it still HAD any left inside), there was wheat, soybeans, rice, and barley, as stated earlier... And that gem thing that elf girl was hoarding to herself. Granted, he never really got magic, but if it helped her, well, all the better.

Turk's return with a bit of fish brought a smile to his face; his survival in and of itself was a miracle, considering that he could catch fish as he did. Every little bit of food helped, after all.

"Alright, alright, this is good. Liking how things are turning out; not everything's gone, so we've got a fighting chance!" he shouted, psyching himself up before noticing the elf girl walking over to and talking to what seemed to be... A pile of boards?
...
No, wait. It was moving. Someone under it?

Curious, Masaru strode over to see what the cause was, only to find that it was a human girl who had also managed to survive. Kneeling down, Masaru saw the color of her face and her expression and shook his head. No way she was getting up in that condition.

"'scuse me a moment," he said, moving past the elf and casually tossing the boards on top of the young woman towards the sand before picking her up like a piece of luggage. Though she only seemed to be a bit shorter than him, his abnormal strength made the task of moving her... Quite simple.

"Okay... Well, you're not getting any better if you stay on the shore like a piece of driftwood, so let's bring you somewhere a bit drier. Like the edge of the beach. Maybe that'll get whatever's buggin' ya out of your system."

With a smile, the oni casually carried her closer inland before placing her down like a doll, upper body upright and leaning against a tree.

"You okay there? Need some water or something?" he asked, slapping her face lightly a few times to check for consciousness before realizing another problem in front of them.

Right. Fresh water. They needed that. Quite badly, actually.
Shit.

-Lilita-

Lilita lay on the sand, still motionless and mumbling out as best as she could for help, while feeling the aftereffects of the crash. At the same time, she tried her utmost to listen to the various callings of people, though the only ones she could make out were an earlier shriek and talk of a snake. Maybe if she was poisoned, that would overtake the motion-sickness..."NO, MUST. STAY. STRONG." she blurted out, but to no avail. It was at this moment that a high pitched yet regal voice was heard.

"It would probably be best if you stopped stumbling around, that can't make you feel any better. Er..."

And soon after, Lilita was being lifted by another person, this one seeming very muscular-BWURK. Her motion-sickness seemed to increase slightly as she was carried to a tree, though not nearly as much as being on a vehicle. Had she not already been motion-sick, simply being carried like this wouldn't be too bad, but right now it served as a kickstarter for a chain-reaction in her stomach.

"You okay there? Need some water or something?" he had asked her, touching her face a few times. A second later, Lilita's face puffed up, and she quickly crawled a few feet behind the tree, hurling what was mostly saltwater all over the place. Wiping her face that was now drained of its discoloration, she crawled back over to the tree with a sigh of relief. "I think...i'm better. That was just the sea trying to kill me one last time, but now that i'm off that thrice-damned boat, i'm just slowly starting to regain my sense of normality. I don't know how they convinced me to get on such a beast. But thank you for your concern. I'm just glad no-one left me to drown in my own puke."

-Gamie Jaeger-

Watching as she took back her spear, The Amazon responded with swift timing... to which Gamie got a load of those nice, succulent... ok, uhm, right... despite how firm they looked, now was not the time to be ogling em'. Returning direct eye contact with the Garuda, he wasn't fazed by her... or anything for that matter.

And then the whammer - she was unable to perform such a task... at least right now, anyways.

While he did display his disappointment with a simple frown and a dreary glance, he didn't seem to truly mind that much as he felt no need to lose any valuable members this early. Unblinking, he gave a nod, silently acknowledging the specific conditions that were needed. "Minimize risk, secure a safe place." Now that he thought about it, it was in the middle of autumn... which meant they would have to have some lodging before winter struck.

"Frostbit'... frozen assets," he mutely grumbled as he descended back into the corpse dried wood, but not before nodding to the woman, politely recognizing the end of the conversation. At utmost haste, he retrieved the shattered box he filled with the coupled shards of glass before exiting the boat, making sure to avoid any contact that would result in scattering the glass. As he went out, he managed to catch some response from The Amazon right back at The Magus.

Setting aside the splintered box, he eavesdropped for a mere second, managing to catch the end of the response.

... hum.

It was about that ruby tinted crystal from what he discerned... something about it being magic?

Coupled ideas and memories flew through his head at quick, photographic speeds as he began sorting out the shards of glass. While it would serve to be illogical, Gamie had protection against any cuts or razors as he went on to identify how he could put these to use. Very little of them had what he deemed as feasible arrowheads if carefully chipped around certain edges. "... one and two..." Pushing the other pieces aside, he began looking for a sharp piece he could use for carving.

As he started this, a voice emitted from the bowls of the ship, announcing that they had a problem - that there was a snake on a boat. There was a surge that went through Gamie as he heard of this, his head jutting up as his dull eyes seemed to lighten up, only a little. Even a minor thrill as this would fit the bill, though, how long the feeling would persist? Probably not that long.

Regardless, he set one of the sharper, crooked edges aside, as even with the risk, there was more concern as of it. Out of everyone here, he evaluated he was best suited to deal with this, as he only really needed to do was shield his face. As the hunter picked up one of the broken ale bottles, he made one step forward...

... before seeing the Garuda aptly respond to handling the situation. While he didn't truly know her skill set, he was familiar with the talk and rumors surrounding her nation and decided to let her handle it now.

... then again, it would be logical to have some form of assistance.

"Hey, I thi-" his quiet volunteering would probably be unnoticed for the most part, especially when he stopped after seeing the peppy reaction of Foxy. While the sound was annoying, it thankfully wasn't risky since she wasn't exactly in the presence of the snake. No provocation for now at least.

Glaring at the girl for a moment, the sounds all around him seemed meshed - seagulls cawing every twelve seconds, waves of the ocean splashing, the enthusiastic gutting of fish, and the very soft plight of a woman begging for help...

Gamies head ricochet as his ears locked on to the latter amidst all of the noise; barely even noticing it as he saw a washed up redhead on the shore, clinging onto a piece of wood as if it was the only thing anchoring her to life...

While he was hoping someone else would retrieve the girl, it seemed The Amazon had decided to request for aid from Foxy. While she didn't appear adequately equipped, he would humor The Amazons strategy... he could only pray neither one would bite the dust.

Pivoting around, he whipped some of the sand into the air behind him as he began walking forward towards The Lass. As he made his way over, he saw the elf stumble backwards at the sound of the snake, but not before making an unearned comment. Well, it was better late than ever for this.

... or not.

That Demon was fast as he actually managed to surprise the hunter a bit; when the bollocks did he get there? Glaring at the Demon, he tried to examine how she was faring, but was lifted up and carried away from the sea. Moving rapidly behind the Oni as she seemed to be struggling to throw up sea water if that was the problem...

Watching from behind as she was set down by a nearby tree, now was the time to interject and try to help. "Oy, Dem-," that look of neutrality was met with a glare of morbid dumbfoundedness.

His jaw was slightly agape as he stared at the Demon condescendingly as he began to slap the girl awake. From her appearance, that only seemed to mix red and green together... making a rather... disgusting coloration. Sighing, the hunter made his full approach while hearing the man speak about water.

... ok so apparently slapping her a couple of times seemed to do the trick. He honestly expected the opposite reaction, but for whatever reason, he suppressed putting his hand to his face for now as that was unnecessary. Of course, despite the moment between them, it was interrupting time. The Demon brought up the good topic of fresh water; Gamie still had the same plan per usual.

"... thought she would be worse off after that, Gamie mumbled, shoving himself up as his foot dug into the dirt. Glancing off to the side, the hunter stared at the elf for a couple of seconds. "... water'sa problem... oi Magus," he spoke loud enough for her to hear, "I need t' talk t' ya about somethin'."

Moving towards the wreckage once more, the man left behind the duo as he reached out his arm and beckoned the lady to follow after him.

Turk had wandered off, closer to the treeline, and glanced back to notice there was another survivor being carried Masaru, a human female that didn't look too well. He'd been around quite a few humans, and he was at least 85% sure that they weren't supposed to be that color.

"Is everyfin' alroight over there?" Turk wasn't too interested, he just...sort of assumed the human female was okay. He didn't see any bleeding. Him and Gamie were sort of hovering over her, and since there wasn't any immediate cries for help, it didn't exactly set a mood the required his immediate attention. In the meantine, Turk was shuffling around the in the bushes, looking for a particularly sharp rock. He had his knife out and was cutting away at bushes to see if he could find any good rocks.

The quest for rocks.

Hmm.

There was probably something more important he could be doing.

Then it hit him, and he almost face-palmed with his knife hand. He felt a little thick for not realizing it before. "Off to look fer a spring!" He shouted to the rest of the group. It would be a much better use of his time, he felt. He once again disappeared from view, this time into a thicket of jungle bushes. "Won't go too far!" His voice would sound a little more distant and muffled, now.

Yukine & Sevita

Yukine’s eyes lit up when Sevita asked for her help. She was absolutely elated that the Garuda was willing to work with her, especially after reprimanding her just a few minutes earlier. Yukine gave a confident nod. “I had to deal with snakes all the time back home. If you’re distracting it, catching it should be easy-peasy!”

With that, the kitsune took a deep breath and her expression changed. Her childish grin faded away into a serious, focused gaze. She looked the snake in the eyes, and then started to circle around behind it. Her footsteps were smooth, calculated, and practically silent. Sensing danger, the snake let out a seething hiss and followed Yukine with its eyes. Normally, this would have been a dangerous game of agility, but the kitsune was confident that this would be a quick and simple task with a partner.

Perhaps she had misjudged the Fox. Upon asking for her assistance, she immediately became much more focused and serious. The rather sudden change surprised the Garuda, but it was a very welcome thing. She offered Yukine a brief, approving smile as the Kitsune circled around the snake, attempting to stealthily making her way to its tail.

Upon hearing the snake hiss, Sevita immediately focused on the serpent once again. It was focused on Yukine at the moment, and it needed to be focused on her. So, Sevita did the only thing she could think of to get its attention. Snakes, she knew were at least threatened by sudden movements. Since having it react badly and jump at a sudden action, she slowly moved her spear towards the crate it was sitting on, making sure to keep her body at the most reasonable distance she could manage.

Sensing danger once again, the snake turned its head towards Sevita, hissing once again and shifting its body slightly as the tip of the spear came into contact with the box, shoving it slightly. It was clear it was feeling cornered, and was likely ready jump at the next movement.

As soon as the snake looked away, Yukine swiftly maneuvered behind it. In her right hand, she held her scythe, keeping it away from the serpent lest a glint of metal spook the creature and bring its attention back to her. She cautiously, silently leaned forward, her left arm coiling back as if mimicking her target. The snake was now thoroughly agitated, and if she messed up, they would probably find out very quickly.

With the snake coiled up, it made it harder to grab its head, but with it raised up on a crate, it was in an easier range, so it seemed to balance out. And, with that, Yukine stopped analyzing the situation, gave Sevita a silent nod, and whipped her hand forward, grasping the snake just behind the skull. She squeezed its neck so it couldn’t writhe away, and lifted it up off of the crate to take away its leverage.

“Got it!” Yukine’s cheerful demeanor returned as she held the snake out in front of her victoriously. It squirmed in the air trying to wrap its tail around the kitsune’s arm, but it was too small to get a dangerous grip. She held it at arm’s length in front of the wall of the wreck so that Sevita had a hard surface to stab it against. “It would be hard to kill it with a scythe, so you finish it off,” she said, still keeping her scythe ready just in case.

The Garuda nodded. It had gone...well, perfectly, really. Neither of them had gotten bit and the snake had been dealt with. Perhaps she had misjudged Yukine? The fox had acted admirably and quickly when she was presented with a task. A thought for another time. Wordlessly, she cut the snake's head with her spear, ending it swiftly and painlessly.

"Hm. Small, but it should provide food for one of us." She mused, taking the snake from Yukine and intending to take it for herself. "I apologize. I do not actually know your name." She continued, as she inspected the now lifeless body of the snake. "I should...apologize for earlier as well. It seems I have misjudged you."

The kitsune flashed Sevita a friendly smile. “I’m Yukine. I don’t mind if you eat the snake, but I at least want to taste it since I helped catch it. And don’t worry about earlier. You were right actually. I shouldn’t be screaming at something silly like a slime ball… even if it is gross.” She gave a small giggle. “But you’re really good with that spear. Swoosh, swift and clean. I can tell you’re a good fighter.” Her tail swished back and forth eagerly. Yukine was actually excited to meet another fighter and wanted to have a friendly match with her to see who was better, but she said nothing about that yet; competitions could wait until they had their settlement in order.

Sevita's face reddened a little at the praise once again. She was unused to being praised for such simple actions.

"I am Sevita Lanka, warrior of the Garuda. Fighting is merely something expected of me." She introduced herself, dismissing the praise to the best of her ability. She also conveniently left out she was the Queen's right hand warrior. "And of course, I shall share the bounty of our hunts with you." She smiled. "Serpents are quite common to be eaten in Vinush. We, unfortunately do not have the finer spices to go with it though." She wasn't much of a cook herself, but she was vaguely aware of how snakes were prepared. She slung the snakes body over her shoulder, taking a look around the wreck once more. She would need at least somewhere to put this so they could cook it later.

"I will find somewhere to store the snake for now. See if I can prepare it." She turned to leave the wreck. "It was...a pleasure to meet you Yukine. If you ever have need of me, I will help you if I am able."

Yukine gave a bright grin at having met a new friend and gave her a happy wave as Sevita turned to leave. “Okay. I hope we can have lots of fun working together.” And with that, the Garuda made her way out of the ship.

Yukine took a moment to inspect the snake head that she was still holding. She opened it up, and indeed it had fangs. Hmm, so it was poisonous, she thought, and then she remembered that there were people mixing all kinds of weird things together on the boat and writing complicated books. Even though there wasn’t meat on the snake head, maybe there was some kind of sciency use for it. So, she pocketed the snake head, dragged the crate of provisions outside and set it next to the seeds, and glanced around for the lady with all those weird bottles. She’d know what to do with it.

Thankfully, the girl seemed like she'd be more or less okay, especially with the help of the oni. Good. ... Not that Irial cared too much or anything. She didn't want anyone to get sick, but it wasn't as if she cared too much about anyone! She didn't! With this thought firmly in mind, the short elven girl noticed that someone was calling to her. And... calling her 'magus' rather then actually referring to her by name. Hmph. If there'd been any other magi around, she would have just blown him off. The girl was quite proud of her name and family, after all.

In this case, however, she faced him. He was a human male, as far as the girl could tell, one she recalled seeing prior. She hadn't paid him much attention before this moment, however. She'd had better things to do.

"I have a name, you know. It's Irial, Irial Romyre," Irial protested, arms folded as she tucked her staff to the side, blue eyes narrowed as she spoke. "What, exactly, do you need?"

It better have been something that required magic. Irial was, well... even she'd admit her uselessness at physical tasks.

Ugroth kept up trying to collect more nuts and berries as he listened Charlotte's response to his tip. As she spoke it became a little more clear that the alchemist had yet to have much personal experience with living out in the wilds. It made him wonder how well she would do in this situation the survivors found themselves in but if anything they were all in this together so it might make learning such things easier. He had a feeling one way or the other that if they survived the ordeal they would have much in the way of experience to share with all of they're people back on Stalmir. Of course they had a long way to go before that would be true but it was a pleasant thought.

The ogre agreed with trying regardless of failure, within reason, though the human brought up the issues it could cause. The same issue was less common among his settlement but it was likely something that happened more elsewhere like in Astril but it was a good distinction to make. He hoped his own desire for hunting never led him to that sort of thinking later on whilst being exposed to the new creatures them might encounter. It looked like it was an upsetting topic for Charlotte so he wouldn't press on it unless the girl brought it up herself which might come up later.

Ugroth continued to try to get as much out of the harvest of the trees and bushes as possible. Admittedly he would have preferred an actual sack for carrying because it would have provided more space to hold the nuts and berries. A few minutes later he managed to get a bit over a third of the garment filled up so it could have been a far worse haul than what they had. Hopefully Charlotte would have gotten some more time to get an idea of what they were dealing with as far as the plant life. The hunter scanned around one last time to see if he could spot any animal movement or life beyond the insects but there was nothing or it was hiding too well for him to see as of yet. He slung his pelt over his shoulder for easier carrying and walked over towards the alchemist who had been very focused on examining the roots of the bushes though for what he didn't know.

"I think this is all were going to be getting out of nuts and berries. Just tell me when your finished and we can head back towards the wreck, maybe the rest of them managed to scavenge some decent supplies too." The ogre said willing to let her continue for a bit but fairly certain being alone might not be a good idea.

Seeing that the girl was now in a not-so-sickly condition, Masaru let out a sigh of relief and smiled. It'd have been something straight out of a nightmare if someone died in front of him, but seeing that it was all just residual seasickness (if that vomiting was anything to go by) meant that the worst of it was over. But...

"That so? Well, you're in a better spot now than you were in about two minutes ago, so that's pretty damn good in my books. Things are... Kind of a mess right now, but it's good that you woke up when you did. Kinda hard to say if we'd find you under that pile after we clean the place out. Anyways, name's Masaru. Normally, I'd ask for your help, but, well... You'll have to let me know if you're still rattled from that recovery. Probably a bit dehydrated, right? All that seawater in your body ain't gonna do it any good," he said, shaking his head as he slowly rose to his feet.

"Hell, we're all gonna be needing some water sooner or later..."

"Ah... Right. You're free to rest in the shade for now, though, I guess... Though it'd be nice if you could help us a bit and all, uh... Right, what's your name?" he asked, letting out a little laugh as he rubbed the back of his head in minor embarrassment. "Though, now that I say that... We should probably go around making better introductions once we set up a base camp. Right."

Thanox picked up another broken jug and sighed. It appeared that most of the containers had sustained some sort of damage which may not have been surprising, but it was still disappointing. Without a container to store water in, the group would have to travel to the water source every time they wanted a drink. It may not be too much of a problem if it was nearby, but assuming that it was at least an hour walk inland then it would be too long a trip.

There was also the problem of irrigation for the future crops. Having lived in a desert for most of his life, Thanox did not know much about farming, only over hearing a few things during the trip, however even he knew that a stable source of water would be necessary to let the crops thrive. That left them with no choice, they would need some sort of container to store water in, and it didn’t look like they would find one here. Standing up, Thanox made his way back towards the exit. He was a hunter and it was time he put those skills to use. If they couldn’t find a container, they would just have to make one. An animal bladder would work just fine, or they could skin a beast and use it’s hide. It may not hold much, but it would be a start.

As he was walking out he noticed a door slightly ajar, he would have walked by, but he noticed something lying on the floor. Gripping his boomerang in one hand he cautiously made his way to the door and slowly opened it. On the floor was a body, a quick examination told him the man was dead. It made since, the Arrowhead was a large ship and clearly not everyone had been as fortunate as they were. It wouldn’t surprise him to find more bodies on the ship. This man deserved a burial, as did anyone else who died on the ship, however that would have to wait until they could all be sure that they were not going to perish as well. Thanox walked out of the room and scratched a mark into the door with his boomerang, he would return after his hunt to properly bury the crew and passengers.

~Charlotte Lachance~

"Hmm...maybe...no...ugh, by the Deacon I'm going to..." Charlotte shook her head in slight frustration, continuing to grumble to herself. She wasn't going to be getting anywhere at this rate. She had no tools to work with, no basis to work with...nothing! She had at least discovered these these may be a distant cousin of a strawberry somehow, but without proper equipment there was no way to confirm or refute that. And she doubted, unless someone could make her the equipment here, that was ever going to actually be a thing.

"Hm? what? Oh." She said as Urgoth approached her, bringing her out of her thoughts. She frowned slightly. As much as she didn't like being interrupted when she was working, this could hardly be called work, could it? "Right. Wouldn't want to be caught out here by myself." The young alchemist took a look around at the various other plants that she really should look into. Maybe she had gotten too focused on this one and should have given all of them a preliminary run through?

...eh, not that it'd matter.

Wordlessly, she started to walk back towards the beach, still thinking. Perhaps she should invest in some physical training or something? Without her tools she was going to be useless, and she didn't like the idea of going out into the forest alone. She also didn't want to be a burden to anyone else here, and until she could at least get some of her equipment in order...well. She sighed, ugh, she wasn't really one to believe in luck but she must have been horrifyingly cruel to puppies in a past life...

~Sevita Lanka~

Sevita made her way out of the hull of the wreck, body of the snake draped over her shoulder and spear resting in her grip. She might as well go collect some firewood, and explore just a little bit. See if perhaps she could also find some fresh water in the process as well. They would need some sooner or later, or at least some sort of juicy berries or something that could work as a temporary solution. She'd have to be a bit careful with the body of the snake on her, as she didn't want to lose it, and if she had nothing to realistically clean the meat with it'd be a waste.

Passing Urgoth and Charlotte quietly on her way into the forest, the Garuda only gave them a polite, if somewhat curt nod as she walked past. It'd be easy enough to get some fire wood to help stave off the cold. She'd just have to make sure not to lose the snake in the process.

~Yukine Aroi~

Yukine stuck her scythe back into her kimono sash, and decided to walk over to the others to try to figure out what to do next. It was certainly a strange situation that they were in. When she went on this trip, she had expected someone smarter and more experienced to organize everyone and get them working on the right things. Yukine, of course, had expected to be working on preparing a plot of land for a farm, but with so few of them left... well, she imagined that her responsibilities would be expanding a bit. She wasn't one to complain, and she was more than happy to help out in any way she could, but she just didn't even know where to begin. Worse yet, by the looks of things, there were no elders to ask for advice. The first pang of fear struck her heart, but she took a deep breath and silenced those thoughts immediately. It wouldn't be good to appear weak before anyone really knew her.

The question now was who to talk to. Sevita had run off to take care of the snake, the ogre and the bottle lady weren't back yet... But, she did see Masaru with some of the others helping another girl. Good, they found another survivor! More hands and more friends were both good news as far as Yukine was concerned. She decided to go over and talk to Masaru. Sure, he wasn't officially in charge or anything, but he was the one who woke them up and he was the one who had suggested they check out the wreck; right now he was the closest thing to a leader she could find. So she walked up to him and gave him a gentle tap on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, Masaru?" she said in a sheepish voice, hoping she wasn't interrupting something important. "We took care of the snake and finished dragging the supplies out of the wreck." She motioned to the boxes of seeds and food she had neatly stacked next to the wreck, well away from the reach of the crashing waves on the shore. "I'm not sure what to do next. I was supposed to help some of the others start clearing away land for a farm once we got ashore, but looks like that's gotta wait for a bit." She rubbed her head, trying to think of what they should do next. They needed shelter, lots more food, water, and plenty of other things that weren't coming to mind right now. "Is there something I can do to help?" She looked first at Masaru, and then at the others nearby. She didn't mind who was giving her directions, so long as someone could get her on the right track.

-Lilita-

The man was rather concerned with Lilita's well-being, asking her if she was dehydrated or in need, to which she shook her head. Not yet anyway. She felt particularly well, but that would certainly change soon considering how much water she just spewed. She thought she heard something heavenly, but it faded as the Hunter went over to the Elf. You must be imagining things, she told herself silently. The others seemed dependent on the man, who introduced himself as Masaru, since the Fox Girl walked over and asked him for directions. Maybe he was in charge of this whole shebang? He certainly seemed capable from the way he just picked Lilita up and carried her with no trouble. He asked for her name and stated that further introductions would take place once a base camp was set up, and that was very agreeable. Survival first, then my specialty.

"I'm Lilita," she said while getting to her feet. "and I should be helping too. I don't really know much, but if someone tells me where and how, i'll take an order. Everyone has to pitch in, right? It's my life too, so I shouldn't be letting all of you take care of me. It should be the other way around!" she exclaimed with all the pep she could muster, smiling as the wind agreed with her decision and chose to blow through her hair, adding some well-timed dramatic effect. Just as the Kitsune did, she looked to Masaru for guidance, as it was time to help her soon-to-be friends. "Being a people-person is my job after all. I get along well, so I'll do what's asked of me!"

Ugroth kept pace with Charlotte as they made the relatively short trek back to the wreck looking around cautiously. He felt like the bit of gather he did might help to tide them over for the moment until they could better situate the group which was quite the good thing. As he and the alchemist walked they passed by the Garuda woman whose nod he returned not wanting to hold her up from whatever she was doing. Upon coming into eyeshot of the wreck he got a look at what the others managed to scrounge up from the remains of the boat which was better than expected, though not all of it would be immediately helpful as he figured out on closer inspection. He pulled out his axe to sever one of the now unnecessary leather straps he used for tools off the side of his pants to tie up pelt/sack before placing it near the rest of the supplies for now.

The ogre thought about what else could be done for the moment and shelter was among the first ideas to pop into his head. As far as he was concerned they only had but to look for a decent clearing with some good tree cover in case of rain and it would be a fair start. Then once that was found or something similarly good he could begin hauling the supplies back to it for storage and maybe even work some branches and leaves into some small tents for the others. It would be a good start to have some cover from the wildlife until they knew more about it and if it was because of it all the better it was done early. He looked over around the beach noticing a couple members of the survivors away, one he saw himself before on returning to the wreck, but one of his fellow hunters and the lizard man weren't present likely further inland by now looking for supplies and he also noticed there appeared to be a newcomer among them who was talking with the Oni about what to do as well as the fox woman.

Ugroth turned to Charlotte figuring he would extend the idea to her first then to the others shortly after.

"Was thinking finding a clearing for a camp would be useful, do you want to help?" He asked figuring it was only proper to ask even if the answer might be no.

-Gamie Jaeger-

As the elf came over, the hunter kneeled down over the glass pile, arranging a few of the pieces around as if they were a puzzle. While he was doing this, his eyes shifted to the side, knowing that The Magus was present. As he matched a few pieces together, he found that certain parts would be excellent for melding... if this worked of course. Grasping some sand and a piece of glass, he thought of another idea for crafting before letting the grains slip through his fingers. Gamie stood up to the stature he previously was in - tall and erect.

Pivoting around, he wiped some of the grains onto the broken splinters before silently listening to her complaints. Yes, he did know some of their names, but he could only glare back as she proudly proclaimed her full name, lineage and all. Gamie honestly... he just honestly wanted to do business... plus, nicknames were easier anyways. "Gotcha Magus..." As he grumbled, holding a shard of glass up near his own face.

"Magic... ya can do things like turn hard thin's soft an' such..." As he spoke, he moved out of the way, displaying the collection of shards, along with the retort and crossbow in full view. Gamie then held the translucent glass somewhat closer to the elf as he continued, speaking almost mutely.

"Can you meld glass?" He slowly went down and snatched a piece, pressing it lightly together against the other as a demonstration, continuing to break his own record of speaking. "Water is obviously difficul' t' come by," he stared at the ocean longingly, "s'I have a plan to remedy this and t'requires yer specialty."

Clearing his throat, for the moment, he set the two shrapnel by each other on the side before continuing. "I needja ta' heat specific glass shards up t'th' poin' where they are fused." Gamie knew he could just hunt for some creatures, but for certain they would need storage of water. Glancing at the duo and his other companions, this would probably take some time and the water they would get should be exhausted for people in the vicinity.

Turning his head back to the elf, he eyed her, as if he was judging her every movement and action. Putting his hand on his side, he hoped to see a demonstration of her abilities first."... will explain th' rest afte' you show me y'can... IF y'can anywai's."

Irial sighed.

"Firstly-"

She raised her hand to the right. Fire immediately traveled up it as the spell recited itself in her mind, the heat causing her hair the drift in the air. It gathered in her palm, twisting into a perfect orb of flames.

"Firebolt."

The blazing flames tore from her hand and hit the sands. It wasn't the most intense flame she could produce, but it was indeed a show that she could produce quite hot fires. Too hot and it may have been a bit more dangerous. As it stood, there was a definite scorch mark plastered across the sandy ground. Smoke rose from the small elven girl's palm, and she raised her hand up, cocking her head to one side as she looked up at the human.

"Does that answer your question?"

Without waiting for a response, she continued, folding her arms.

"Secondly, you're an idiot," she began, "I have no idea how to work glass. Do you? Do you honestly think I'd want to start melting something like that all over the place without knowing exactly what I'm doing? You've obviously underestimated my intelligence. Or maybe you're just that stupid?"

Irial waved her hand dismissively.

"Regardless, unless we have someone who knows how to work glass, I'm not doing it."

Masaru turned his head towards Yukine and, after acknowledging the fact that everything that was usable in the shipwreck had probably been pulled out by now, nodded to the kitsune as he moved to double-check the crate. Even if it had been already checked over, it didn't hurt to at least make sure of that fact. And, well... To be fair, the sooner they got the whole 'not starving and/or dying of thirst' thing out of the way, the better.

"Uh... Right. Well, uh... Yeah, I guess that's kind of a problem. We should probably get some place that's a bit farther inland, though...? If the storm that dropped us here is anything to go by, then without any sturdy shelter staying in here might only help us kick the bucket faster," he thought, glancing at the sea and grimacing before shaking his head. "Yeah. Maybe a bit further inland in better for now. It'll do until we can get our bearings straight and not have to worry about day-to-day survival and all that."

Turning his attention back over to the crate, Masaru took a deep breath and...
Casually popped open the top with minimal effort. Huh. Seemed the crate wasn't as sturdy as he'd expected. Or maybe he was a bit too strong. Whatever.

With that cover now flipping in the air, the oni casually glanced into the box and attempted to pick up a piece of the hardtack. Seeing that it was still in one piece (and, surprisingly enough, not as wet as he had expected it to be), he casually placed it back in the crate.

"Okay!" he called out, lifting the crate up before turning to everyone else who could be listening in. "Everyone who can move something, pick up whatever's left and help bring it to some more stable land! The sand here's not going to be growing anything any time soon, and it's probably not gonna be solid enough to get any sorta foundation up! Once we move a bit deeper, let's try setting up a shelter to keep this stuff from going bad from exposure! That okay with everyone?"

After that half-request half-order, Masaru turned to Yukine to check if his perceptions about farming (at the very least) were true. As far as he knew, sand was horrible for growing crops in, so... Yeah.
Also, the frustration of being tossed out to sea like this made him want to punch things really badly. Punching down a tree or five?
...
Yeah, he could do with that.

Gabriel Antares

The body slowly drifted in the sea, letting the waves carry it to shore. Eventually, it washed out, unmoving and stiff, like a wet rag that had been left over to dry. It lay there, face down on the sand for an unknown amount of time. It could have been minutes but It also could have been hours, no one really would know.

What goes in, however, always has to come out sometime. As his lungs tried to desperately remove the excess water from his body, he felt his chest swell up, the water quickly ascending and then promptly shooting out through his mouth. In between breaths, he coughed out the remainder of the sea water and mustered what strength he could to drag his body higher up the shore, to a dryer place.

He slumped around on his back, stretching his arms outwards. The palm tree over his head protected his eyes from the glaring rays of the midday sun. He stayed for a few minutes like that, regulating his breathing and calming down before he collected himself and stood up. Gabriel's eyes scanned his surroundings and then the thought finally settled in for good.

Rage immediately took over him as he grabbed a nearby boulder, lifted it up and threw it into the sea. The boulder crashed into the water with a loud splash, creating small waves that settled a few seconds later. "You! You!" He said and pointed at the ocean. "Oh, what a beautiful boat you have there, little fellows! IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO IT, HMMM??" He shouted out loud while flailing his arms around.

He then proceeded to have a fit of anger, running around the beach like a madman and throwing everything he could find, that was throwable, into the sea. Needless to say, the sea did not fight back. After venting out his anger and calming down, Gabriel started walking down the beach towards a random direction. "Where is this place anyway... and where is the boat? Weeeell, I guess It must have sunk, but there's got to be SOMETHING that washed up with me." Gabriel mumbled as he was walking. And then he stopped, the realisation hitting him once more. "Where is my sword? WHERE'S MY SWORD YOU SON OF A BITCH?!" He yelled at the sea once more and started throwing things at it.

Gabriel even dived into the ocean and searched for his sword, but to no avail. It was long gone...

He came out of the ocean practically fuming. He took off his shirt and squeezed it to get it as dry as possible. "You piece of shit, motherf-" As he was drying out his shirt, his eyes trailed off towards the east where he spotted the wreck of the ship, along with some people scurrying about, seemingly trying to salvage anything from the wreckage. "Oh yeah, there was that little girl that old Dick-on told me to keep safe... Charlotte, if I remember correctly. I wonder if she survived..."

With all that passing through his mind, Gabriel hung his, now, rag of a shirt over his shoulder to dry out and set off towards the other survivors. He waved his arms around, trying to get their attention. Maybe they had seen his little employer...

~Yukine Aroi~

Yukine smiled when Lilith spoke, her voice easing the anxiety that was building in the kitsune. She decided immediately that she liked this person, and knew that they would get along just fine. Before Yukine could introduce herself, though, the ogre came over and suggested that they go inland to set up a camp. "Okay!" she said eagerly, looking up at the ogre with a relieved expression. It felt so much better having a plan. "I may not be as big and strong as you and Masaru, but I can definitely help make a camp. I make sure I stay in tip-top shape." She lifted her arm up and flexed her bicep, then gave a playful giggle.

Yukine followed Masaru over to the boxes, and nodded when he mentioned it would be good to move the seeds. "Yeah, salt water is no good for them. Neither is too much moisture until we plant them." However, she hesitated before hoisting up one of the boxes herself. "Hold on, not everyone is here. Sevita went to go do something with the snake. I don't want her to get left behind..." Just then, her ears twitched as she heard some shouting in the distance. Another survivor? She turned and saw a man walking towards them, giving them all a friendly wave. So, of course, Yukine waved back. Hey Mister! We're getting ready to set up a camp! Come join us!" She called out to him, wondering what cool skills he could bring to the group.

As Thanox went deeper into the woods he focused on the ground looking for any tracks to lead him to his prey. The main problem, however, was that he did not know what his prey was. He had no doubt that it would be very different from what he hunted back in his home land, but he didn’t know just how different it would be. As confidant as he was in his skills as a hunter he didn’t want to take too big a risk by fighting an unknown predator.

Another problem was that, judging from the tracks, there wasn’t much here besides smaller game. Useful for food, not quite as useful for hauling water, unless someone knew how to work leather and had the proper tools. Still, there were always larger creatures around, ready to feed on anything smaller than them. He just needed to find them and it looked like he was not alone in his search. A few of the others were already searching inland, and the others would probably move in soon to find better shelter.

Thanox stopped and crouched down to get a better look at the ground. There were some tracks here, they were older, but they were there. Hopefully they could lead him to an animal, or perhaps a watering hole. Standing up, he carefully followed the tracks. They may not lead anywhere, but he had to at least try and see what he could find.
