It is meant to prevent stupid moves that mine are meant to make contact but are mostly likely ignored or taken in a way that doesn't damage your characters. Though if those moves were done to me, it would do damage. Because I don't always believe that a character can just dodge a move so easily without regarding the other character strength and speed. Especuially their power. This is something that greatly annoys me.

The point is to figure out what hurts Spirit, not pull impossible moves out of a hat. Look at Zoey; she didn't have to do something incredibly strong or fast to hurt Spirit--it just took a bit of cleverness.

The issue isn't in the fact that you're doing something to even it out, but it seems that she's speaking as if aware of the RP. The canon is an outside-in approach, that MR happens outside of our dimension and we just happen to be recording it, instead of the inside out concept.

I do see where he's coming from. Not everyone has lightning reflexes, instantaneous move speeds, or etc. Sometimes it seems like all characters can only be beaten by using their weakness against them, when the reality is that faster opponents should be able to land some strikes, or stronger opponents should dish out more damage with their landed hits. If every character only lost because if a weakness, then it'd get pretty boring. Take Rythian, for example. He's the living embodiment of Ridge's weakness, but Ridge still stood toe to toe with him because, physically, he's way out of Rythian's league.
