Coatlicue: So fix that? Besides, we're assuming that we know Baphumet's intentions. Even if you're right, is it really our place to go through with it? The Triggers are gone and we haven't done the job of watching over whoever is in the place of Moderators in... how many generations of us? What do you even plan to do once you get everyone together? Throw tea parties? That was Ananke's thing. Start a fight with some group that couldn't possibly stand a chance? That seems abusive of our power and jobs to me. So what exactly are you planning to do if we do all work together?

-Ma'at- Our main goal should probably be to stop Dark, right now. We need to learn to work together as a team, especially in fights, so that we can overpower the Oblivion.

You said spear fishing.

I gotcha.

Coatlicue: Why? It's not our job. Once it got closer to the Oblivion, it stopped being my job to care. What about this is different than before, other than Yander not being around to tell us to stay out of it? We all sat out of it just fine before.

-Ma'at- Because Baphumet might have made it our job. If she's killing us because we're not uniting against the Oblivion, then we have to unite against the Oblivion--or against Baphumet.

It's high time we found a job. Indon't know about you, but I need something to do. The Triggers have been gone for a while now, and now that they're coming back, I'm going to do my job and take care of it. The Oblivion has to go. You're right, no one has watched the Moderators in a long time. So that, plus the fact that Triggers aren't around anymore anyways... We need a new purpose, and this seems like a good place to start to me.

Coatlicue: So you're going to let one member decide the course of everything? Sounds familiar. Oh, wait, that's what happened with the person you're trying to call us to arms against.

Coatlicue: Directly interfering in the life of the only remaining member of the group Yander's generation was created to not interfere with is a good place to start for you? Live too long or something, Brutus?
*Sighs* Do whatever you want, but I'm out. I won't be strong-armed into going directly against the last rule we've cared about following in the remembered past. If that's even why she's after us.

-Ma'at- But getting out literally defeats the entire purpose. We--
-Aphrodite- Ma'at, darling, let me handle this. Coatlicue, we don't necessarily need to go out and defeat the Oblivion, or Baphumet, or anyone. We're just preparing for the possibility. The Codex are supposed to be united, in any case. Think of this as a wake-up call: there are great threats on the horizon, and if we aren't strong together, we'll be swept away.

This is different. We're preventing a catastrophe by abnormality. This is not the way this is supposed to be. And, instead of doing something, you propose continuing to do absolutely nothing? Or do have some other lead? This is our only hope for survival, Coatlicue. Just know I'm not strong-arming you. You're free to leave if you want. But the future of the Codex is in jeopardy, and you're a part of this, whether you want to be one of the ones that tries to fix it or not.

Coatlicue: Really? Because it sure sounds like you all are trying to put a target on the head of someone we've actively avoided since the birth of, and the most vocal one seems to be doing it because her "poor boyfriend didn't win." Personal feelings shouldn't have a place here.

Coatlicue: An abnormality!? You're the oldest one here, I thought at least you would have a grasp of our history! I know you don't study it for a living like I do, but you should at least know the Oblivion was supposed to be the only one! The fact that there were sixteen is the abnormality! Or do you actually think that- ... *Takes a deep breath and exhales slowly* Nevermind. Sorry for freaking out, you probably weren't talking about that. I get it, I'm biased because I'm happy because someone did the completely impossible and made the Triggers into one thing, but even without that, it's not our job to target someone. And if we do, then what? What's to stop us from turning into a force like those counts or whatever they called themselves back a ruling classes? Us? No, if we start targeting things we don't like, that's it. Existence gets a despotic group that can't possibly be overthrown, and that is exactly what are job is, to prevent that. To prevent some group or entity or being or whatever else from unchangable control. You all are talking hypotheticals, so let's go to one bigger. We go out in force and kill someone who's not even a Codex or in danger of taking permanent rule of everything. Next thing you know, we're doing that to everyone we don't like and we become exactly what we're afraid of. *Sighs* I'm not going to be a part of that, and I'm sickened that anyone here is advocating we let Baphumet dictate our actions for us. It's not you you I'm worried about strong-arming anyone, it's her.

The fact that there were sixteen worked. I know how it was meant to be, but I strongly feel as though it's better the way it was. I understand that you disagree though.

Coatlicue: I get that it worked, but Yander put it back into the MM, remember? I know we're talking about the one who did something impossible, but do you expect him to have found a way to keep the powers of it with it totally removed from him? Or are we waiting for him to come out of the MM like a newborn? Because if so, that brings up so many new potential issues that the likelihood of us having any impact becomes near zero.

All good points. I'm still going to operate under the assumption that we're being threatened until we either find out otherwise or we end up being unable to stop it and you turn out to be correct.
