The Emperor is dead. Rebellion has been the fire to ignite the galaxy into a fervour, and with the destruction of the second death star, there is nothing to stop the vast majority of the galaxy from taking up arms against what little there is left of the Empire. That which is left only tightens its grip, sinking its teeth into previously quiet, safe and ignored worlds. Rebellion has freed those toward the core of the galaxy, but it has only made things worse for those on the outskirts, once free and quiet worlds are now hubs of Imperial activity, and peace is an absolute lie.

23 years have passed since the end of the Clone Wars and the birth of the Empire, four have past since the first Death Star was destroyed over the rebel base on Yavin, and only one month since the destruction of the second, and the deaths of the Emperor, and Lord Vader. The Empire itself may not have been destroyed, but the Sith have been removed from the galaxy, destroyed by the last of the Jedi knights. Even know the Jedi can begin anew, Luke Skywalker builds a new temple, recruits new Jedi from across the galaxy, hoping to rebuild the ranks of the order. Han and Leia work to build up the New Republic's Senate, and Chewbacca fights to free his homeworld.

But these are not stories for now, these are the stories of the heroes of the Rebellion, those who pushed the Rebellion to victory. But have they led it to victory? The Empire is down, but not out - sinister moves are being taken, and dark forces move in the shadows across the galaxy. An unknown and long forgotten voice whispers from the void of unknown space, and the Empire, desperate for a leg up, is moving to listen to it. The Galactic Civil War is not over, but the question now remains - have things been made better, or only worse? There are dark times ahead, and the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance. How will you determine its fate?

Dantooine: The farming world had always been quiet, a popular spot for smugglers to set down and rest for a while, make repairs, or do deals. It was nowadays far more popular as a spot for the New Republic, considering its significance to the older Republic and the Jedi Order. It is a cool day, the breeze blowing through the grass and trees of Dantooine's generally pleasant atmosphere. Brith are flying through the sky in schools, and Kath hounds roam the fields searching for food. Far too away from Imperial territory, and considered too much of a backwater, the world is almost entirely safe from Imperial presence.

The Raven is docked comfortably near Koomba, a small Republic outpost usually populated with traders, farmers and prospectors. It was also a regular stopping point for the crew of The Raven, who stopped there from time to time to relax or pick up work. They had settled there now between ferrying the senator Corrina from place to place. They had recently finished a rather successful diplomatic visit to Taris, but their next job wasn't to be so easy.

With the ship fueled and ready to go, the Crew of the Raven is undergoing their last preparations before they head off on one of their more difficult diplomatic missions. One of the most important groups in the ongoing war, especially now - is the Hutts. The support from the cartels would mean an incredible amount of monetary support for either the Empire or the Republic. Most of the crew has been going over the last few checks to make sure nothing would explode mid-flight, others getting settled for the long flight to Tatooine, it would take at least a day or two, after all.

Tatooine: Once, one would never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than Mos Eisley - but since the Empire's reformed interest in the world, it has gone through a major change. Crime has dropped as mass arrests take place planet-wide, Imperial stormtroopers search through the city regularly, ensuring there are no rebel sympathizers. The Vindicator sits in orbit over the world, although the crew is split between the ship and down on the planet itself.

A general alert is sent to both the Vindicator's bridge, and the planetary outpost down in Mos Eisley itself, the alerty appears as a brief report from the Vindicator's Intelligence Liason - Kordath, detailing the following - Reliable information on Criminal element, possibly smuggling in Rebel sympathizers - Location Ancorhead. Investigate.

A report of that manner was not particularly common, the rebels which the Empire usually had come across so far on Tatooine were already on the planet itself, and mostly acted as small groups of Guerrilla's. It was not especially common for the Republic to send extra units to the backwater, what could they possibly have planned? He the crew of the Vindicator would choose to take this information, and what they would do with the possible rebel scum in Ancorhead was up to them, they could be there in a few hours of flying, and with what the Empire had at its disposal on Tatooine, any action was possible.

Luke Teth

Location: Outside -> Cockpit

Luke sighed as he made his way out of the main building of Koomba, counting the credits he'd just won off a few poor spacers in a game of Pazaak. Under his arm was tucked the motivator he'd won as well, there was something you could always count on with techy spacers - they'd start gambling ship parts once they ran out of credits, and that had been his whole plan. Gol had been bugging Luke from time to time to remind him their hyperdrive Motivator was getting pretty old, and considering the problems which came out faulty hyperdrives - usually revolving around travelling through space and time, he figured it would be best to get a new one.

As he wandered toward the docking bay and laid eyes on the Raven, he paused for a moment, letting a proud smirk split his lips as he let out a sigh. She was old, had almost constant problems, and it was a wonder that by now she hadn't exploded, left them stranded or just plain fallen apart, but to Luke she was absolutely beautiful, the perfect ship. It was no secret among the crew how much Luke adored the Raven, the man may have loved the ship more than any of his crew, after all. Letting out another pleased sigh, he wandered toward the ramp and up into the ship.

"Captain's back, If y'planned a mutiny, now's the time!" He called out as he made his way through the halls toward the engine room. When he got there, he held out the motivator to show Gol. "There y'are - call me the best Captain ever and get it installed." He gave the Zabrak a nod with a grin, patting the door frame as he moved off and back down the halls toward the bridge.

As he got up there, he let out a sigh and settled into the co-pilots seat which he usually claimed, looking out of the view port before he glanced over his shoulder toward the navicomputer. Reaching out toward the PA, he switched it on and cleared his throat. "Sutton - get to the bridge, I need a nav-course plotted so Stehrr don't fly us into a star." Switching off the PA, he settled in his seat, letting out a sigh, things were going to go well, he could tell.

HK-86

Location: Garage -> Engine Room

HK had been confined to the ship for the duration of their stay on Dantooine, it wasn't uncommon for him to be confined to the ship most of the time during instances like that. Unless the crew managed to go in somewhere guns blazing, it was usually smarter to leave the murder-bot behind, he wasn't always known for his subtlety, and he was just as liable to shoot someone out of boredom than any other reason. Such was what had occurred the last time he'd been allowed to enter Koomba. A droid merchant had got a little too handsey with the HK unit and found a blaster bolt between his eyes. That hadn't been easy for the captain to explain.

And so, he had spent most of his time meandering about the cargo hold and the Garage, calculating new assassination theories in his head while trying to avoid Stehrr, he hated being near the big furry carpet, the Wookiee was a hugger, and although he had no nostrils, HK regularly complained about the smell. As he witnessed the captain come back aboard the ship, HK followed him toward the engine room, watching as he tossed the new motivator over toward Gol. Moving into the room, HK watched one of the meatbags he was more endeared to.

"Request: Do continue to try not to blow the ship up during your tinkering, meatbag Gol." He offered, as some odd form of encouragement.

Kordath Targon

Location: Mos Eisley Cantina -> Command Post

The Mos Eisley Cantina was always filled with the best scum the galaxy had to offer, human and alien alike. It was always a particularly decent spot to gather Intelligence. Although the second an Imperial uniform was visible in the cantina, it essentially cleared out, so a disguise was of course necessary. Despite his age, Kordath fit reasonably well into the role of a spacer, his boring, casual outfit fitting nicely as he sat in a booth toward the back, sipping a Corellian ale as he listened to the voices around him.

It wasn't desperately often for him to hear anything worthwhile, but it seemed today he was getting lucky. In the booth next to him, a Twi'lek and a human were speaking in a hushed tone, just loud enough that Kordath could make most of it out. They were talking about some incoming ship, one they would get to the surface without the Imperials knowing. It was a difficult thing to do nowadays with the blockade in orbit, but it was certainly possible. What caught his notice most of all was the mention of the Republic. For most of their time on Tatooine, the Vindicator hadn't had much work apart from stopping petty criminals, if there was a chance to take down some rebels, he'd take it.

A smirk splitting his lips, he finished his drink and made his way out of the Cantina quietly, bringing up his datapad as he typed up a quick report, sending it off to the Vindicator and the Command post. It didn't take him too long to get there, but he figured the Captain would have gotten his message and figured out some plan from it by now as he went to change back into his proper uniform. He felt so much more comfortable in it, when he was not wearing the grey uniform of the empire, he simply felt... wrong. Adjusting his jacket, he made his way into the Main Operating Room in the Command post, looking around to see if the Captain was about, if not - he figured he'd be hopping on a shuttle fairly soon.

Matthew McConnell

Location: Living Space

Several minutes ago, Matthew found himself playing some holochess with a couple of old smuggler friends he happened to stop by. One was a tall Duros, with green skin, red eyes, and wore something akin to what a cowboy would wear, the other was a short Sullustan, with big black eyes, palish skin, and had a pilot uniform. They had been pals for several years now and hadn't seen each other in three years. And somehow, they all decided to go for three rounds of holochess, each having to pay 500 credits if they lost. Now Matt finds himself back in the Raven, having said his farewells to his friends...

With 1000 credits in his pockets.

Yup, he won two rounds, without loosing any credits whatsoever (one round was the Duros against the Sullustan). He thought he lost his touch when it came to holochess, but alas it wasn't the case just yet. He was honestly impressed with his skills. He was just inside the main living room area of the ship, resting his boots on the table, when Luke decided to barge in and begin the final preparations in taking off.

"Captain's back, If y'planned a mutiny, now's the time!" the captain calls as he comes in with a new motivator. About damn time they get a new one too, as their old one was already on the verge of dying anyways. With a sigh, Matt then answers the captain nonchalantly.

"Hey guys!" he calls out in a joking and sarcastic manner, "Now it's our chance to rebel against the eeeeeevil Luke Teth-walker! Who's with me?"

Of course, this was simply one of his more sarcastic jokes, and he didn't expect a response, but here he just couldn't help himself as he looks back at the credits he earned.

Kyatrah Selinema

Location: Outside Mos Eisley Command Post -> Inside Hallway

Despite the loss of the Second Death Star, as well as the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and lord Vader, the Imperial presence on Tatooine was still present among the barren wastelands. The planet had a brief victory party after the imperial battle station was blown to smithereens, but was soon brought back under Imperial control. However, this wasn't like the captures back during the Empire's primes, and Death Trooper Kyatrah Selinema knows this. She has been assigned here by the captain some mere days ago to keep guard the nearby command post in Mos Eisley... an assignment she hasn't received since her days at the academy. It was only after her days there as a Spec Op unit for the infamous Death Squad did she go on special missions, whether they be to assassinate rebel figureheads, or steal some information. Now, it was back to the very old days... and they were far from being nostalgic.

As she walks around the perimeter of the base, she can see the other civilians looking at her in an almost strange, but also slightly fearful look. Kyla was already wearing her full uniform, as well as having her helmet on. She can see the fear in their eyes, as well as identify the whispers in regards of her. She even heard boos and insults being thrown at her from some other bypassers. Regardless, she simply ignored them. The Empire may be crippled, but their not out of the fight just yet. They just need to regroup, rest up, and when the time was ready, to strike back at the New Republic. It was only a matter of time... hopefully at least.

Having had enough of the outside, Kyla decides to head inside the command post. She was already a little thirsty being outside for this long and needs a bit of a drink. She takes a glance at a man who walked past her, she soon identifies to be the Imperial Intelligence Officer, Kordath Targon. She ignores his presence as she moves on, already having a bit of a sour mood. The last people she'd want to bump into would be say... Jania, for she was too happy in her mind, and Shira, whom she hates with all her guts. However, bumping into Morgra wouldn't be bad... nor would bumping into Captain Cartchri be bad either...

Kayala Stalack

Location: Koomba Trade Post --> Reporting In --> Wandering Inside The Raven

There was something about mingling with the locals and not so locals that were in the trade post area of Koomba. There was no need for a face, for a facade at this time but yet Kayala still wore one. It was difficult to be ones self when one never had enough down time anymore to truly discover what that was. Today she had picked something a bit more rebellious before she had headed out to pick up a few luxuries. Lynruth Hulfow, a simpler explorer who was born was and raised on the planet. It was the face she most commonly used when in Koomba. It was the simplest and let her mingle with the people. Not only that, being a native made it far less likely for someone to try to swindle her.

Dressed simply Kayala made her way back through the streets towards the Raven. It would be time to get underway and she wanted to get everything stowed away before they took off. She took a deep breath as she swung the small knit sack at her side, it was full of new threads and cloth, something to pass the time during the journey, as well as a few pears; among other things. A small smile crept across her lips as she stepped back aboard the ship, pulling her brunette wig from her scalp and shaking out her blonde tendrils. It was nice to at least that part of the look go. The clothing would remain for now. No need to change, it was comfortable enough and she had no job to prepare for right then.

Making her way through the ship she stopped by her quarters to drop off her bag and stow most everything away. She kept a handful of things. She wondered if the captain was back yet but all that wonder was laid to rest as his voice rang out. Out of her room, she headed for the cockpit. "Someone say mutiny?" she said coyly as she peeked her head in and small smirk played on her lips. From behind her back she pulled out a hairbrush with a small silk ribbon tied to it and rested it right on top of Stehrr's console.

Turning on her heels she called out over her shoulder as she headed down the hall. "Oh, and I'm back. We can leave now." Placing one of the pears she had purchased she took a small bite. Letting her teeth sink into the tender flesh and savoring the simple taste as the flavor washed over her tongue. There were something's that should always be relished, real fruit was one of them. Perhaps that would be the next thing she put to needle point. A reminder to her of the life they were fighting for.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: Personal Quarters --> Medical Bay

The day had started out like most any other on the ship for the good doctor. He had woken up and turned up his music within his quarters. Dancing around and singing to himself as he waltzed into the shower to get cleaned up. Most people walked around the ship as if because they were on some massive vessel they couldn't have a good time and had to be a serious and shit. Yeah, that wasn't how the doctor was. He was full of life, more than enough for probably an entire squadron.

Slipping into some rather smooth looking scrubs and decked out rubbed soled shoes he gave himself a sly grin in the mirror before he spun around and started dancing down the halls as he left his room, the door sliding back into place once he was clear of the jam. "Take advantage of tonight cause tomorrow I'm off to Naboo to perform for a princess but tonight, I can make you my queen and make love to you endless. This is insane: the way the name growin', money keep flowin'. Hustlers move aside! So, I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin', I got it locked up like Commodore Cartchri," he rapped as he turned and slid from one area of the Vindicator to the next. Every so often grabbing a female member of the crew and tangoing down a corridor with her before he darted off and kept moving.

The door to the Medical Bay and he was still at it. The soles of his shoes sliding across the floor as his staff turned to look to see who was entering. Slipping over to one of the nurse and took her hand in his. Dancing about as he pulled it to his lips and placed a gentle kiss to the back of her hand, winking in the process. 'Excuse me, excuse me; and I might drink a little more than I should tonight and I might take you home with me if I could tonight and baby Ima make you feel so good tonight cause we might not get tomorrow."

"Doctor..." the woman said blushing madly. "Be serious, please..."

"Who said I wasn't being serious?" he laughed as he shook his head. Morgbra shrugged and let go of her hand but still smiled as he took the datapad she was trying hand him. Looking over it as his feet still moved and his head bobbed to whatever music was going through his mind at the time.

"Seems like everything is in order. So what do you need me for? Other than my charm?"

The nurse simply rolled her eyes and went back to work.

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Command Post

Commodore Cartchri had been at the outpost since before the sun had come up on Tatoonie. It was not unusual for her to already be there, having risen far earlier than most. Each day had started out the same when it could. Awaken early, shower, place the uniform she treasured on, slick her hair back into a practical bun, a walk through her ship, and then down to the Command Post to see what new word was in and if any orders had been sent. Granted had any been sent she knew she would have been roused even earlier but what specks of information came in she wanted to review herself; to see if anyone had over looked anything.

Leaning over the most recent start charts and points of interest she studied each one of them as if it was time to prepare for finals at the academy. Each little detail was thoroughly examined and nothing was taken as something that was unimportant until she deemed it so. She head someone clear their throats, her eyes slowly rising to see what it was and when she spotted one of the numerous lower ranks before her she lowed her eyes once again and went back to her task at hand. The man held in a sigh and cleared his throat again, this time Jesmand ignoring him completely.

"Captain."

"Commodore." Her voice was flat and firm as she said the single word.

"What?" the man said confused.

"You will address me as Commodore."

"But aren't you the Captain?" he asked nervously, wondering if this was a test. Jesmand let her chin drop and touch her chest as she sighed before standing up fulling and taking a deep breath.

"A captain can be a rank or an assignment position. I hold the rank of Commodore, you will address me as such. Or would you perhaps rather take a walk outside of the airlock, when we are in deep space?" she asked as she looked back down at the charts and made a few marks on them.

"Yes Ma'am. Sorry Ma'am. Commodore Cartchri. We have a new report in," he said handing the datapad over nervously. Reaching out she took it from his hands before he turned and darted back off to his post. Taking a look over it she perked a bit of a brow before setting it down next to the charts and sitting down slowly in her chair. This wasn't exactly expected but things were hardly the norm anymore. Leaning back in her seat she glanced around the room, going over the information she had, what little it was in her mind.

Tapping her finger along the edge of the table before rising and giving out a command. "Alert the crew, prepare for departure," she ordered as Targon entered the room. Stepping over to him she nodded politely. "Targon."

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Personal Quarters ---> The Bridge; The Vindicator

Jaina opened up the bottle of medicine, the anti-psychotics that she was supposed to take twice daily. A cheeky grin plastered on her face, she grabbed a handful of the pills and tossed them up in the air. With her other hand, she raised her blaster pistol and pulled the trigger in rapid succession. Her tongue poking out between her teeth slightly, Jaina squealed in excitement as none of the pills hit the ground.

"Take that, doc!" Jaina snickered, falling to the ground, moving her arms and legs as if making a snow angel. "You can't make me take shit!"

Of course, she was entirely alone in the room, but given that Jaina had never seen the mysterious doctor, she had long since come to the conclusion that he had to be monitoring her by video feeds. Shaking her head a bit to get her hair out of its bun and falling down, messily, over her shoulders, Jaina began to get up. Her eyes were wide as she stared at the empty pill container, and she pressed it against her eye, peering inside of it.

Seeing that it was empty, she tossed it up in the air, and disposed of it in the same manner as the pills. Laughing once again, Jaina let out a contented sigh. It was the perfect day already. She'd never felt so at ease, so at peace. The nasty drugs only served to make her sleepy and boring--but here, here she was! And she was entirely certain that the mythical doctor wouldn't be able to get more medicine for her soon enough.

Her smile faded for a split second when her brother Jacen came to mind.

"No one can steal my happiness," Jaina whispered to herself, jumping to her feet and running out of her quarters. She wasn't going anywhere in particular, just giggling as she ran down the corridors, throwing her head behind her as if she'd been chased.

Eventually, Jaina came to a hault, covering her giggles with her hand. She was on the bridge. Commodore never quite liked it when Jaina found her way there. She glanced around, searching for anyone who would chastise her. The commodore, Jaina realized, was gone. A delicious little chuckle escaped from her lips as she slowly walked over to the commodore's chair. She sat herself down in it, and her eyes darted around, looking for a button in particular.

"Don't worry! I found it!" Jaina announced, pressing it. Her favorite song filled the ship wide speakers, and Jaina kicked her legs in glee. Today wasn't just a great day, it was a perfect day, no, even that wasn't enough...

It was a more perfect day!

Sutton Corandel

Location: Wandering Corridors ---> The Bridge; The Raven

Sutton grinned, hearing the Captain's comments about a mutiny. She made her way towards the bridge, hardly needing his reminder on the PA. With her blaster in her hand, Sutton quietly made her way into the bridge, and put her blaster to Luke's head.

"I'm a bit new to this mutiny thing--what comes next?" Sutton teased, putting the blaster away.

Walking over towards the navicomputer, Sutton's fingers began to fly across the screen. They were perhaps fortunate, already being in the Outer Rim. It wouldn't take ages to get to Tatooine, though Sutton hardly cared for the mission they were embarking upon. She'd worked for the Hutts before, and with the prying tactics of the Senator and the Face, she knew that wouldn't stay secret for long.

If her luck went much more sour, they'd know everything there was to know about Sutton before the day was over.

"There, course plotted, ma'am," Sutton winked. "Shouldn't be too long--but we should probably get going sooner rather than later, yeah? Unleeeess you're okay with Matthew and I going off to check out some more things for another hour or so...."

Stehrr

Location: The Raven main hold-->Cockpit

Heavily shuffling footsteps announce the arrival of the Wookiee pilot as he ambles into the main hold from one of the passageways. Normally, he would have accompanied Luke on an excursion off-ship but the Koomba trading post is usually stuffed to the brim with humans and aliens alike. Far too many of them, because it's not just the natives that come to Koomba for supplies, every traveller, smuggler and bounty hunter on this side of the Rim made a stop here as they passed through. He wasn't in the mood to take a risk and face any of them, so he chose to remain on the ship. Matthew and Kayala had left as well, nothing bad could happen to Luke if they were with him, that's what Stehrr kept telling himself.

It provided him some comfort, but the longer the captain was gone, the more he began to wish he had accompanied his friend after all. It would be a scorn to his life debt if something was to happen to Luke when he wasn't around to help the man. The Wookiee is just about to gather up his bowcaster and go stomping down the vessel's loading ramp to start a search party when a familiar voice hollered out.
"Captain's back!"

Stehrr looked up and eagerly grunted a greeting as Luke re-enters the Raven. Tucked under his arm is another large hunk of shiny metal that the Wookiee deduced must be a ship part. He remembered Gol mentioning on the way in to Dantooine that a part of their hyperdrive could do with replacing before it blew them all into space dust in the very near future.

He hovered at Luke's shoulder as the captain drops the part off in the garage with Gol, before following him back up to the bridge. The Wookiee plopped himself down into the pilot's seat, crossing his arms behind his head as they wait for Sutton to make her way over to plot the flight path, something he hadn't quite gotten the hang of himself yet.

Stehrr's gaze wondered absentmindedly around the cockpit as they waited, and it was then that his eyes fell on the ribbon-adorned 'present' Kayala had left him on the control cluster. The Wookiee's arms flailed manically through the air (almost socking Sutton in the face as thr second in command appeared and leaned over to punch the coordinates into the computer) as he bellowed out, in clear distress:
"《NO! No brush!! Stehrr fur just fine, no need brush! Luke, tell human female no brush! No need!" his pleas are finished off with a desperate look at his companion in the seat beside him, as if imploring him to remove the offending implement from sight.

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven, medbay--> main hold

Nali remained in the medbay whilst some of the other crew members disembarked to gather intel and supplies for their next journey. He had stocked up on medical supplies in the last spaceport so he had no need to accompany them. Instead, Nali spent his time sorting through equipment, making sure that everything was in its proper place and had been cleaned and sterilised to an appropriate level. That was one of the many things he had learned from Morgbra before the older man had gone missing in action. 'There's no point doing a half assed job'. While he had the time to kill, he may as well make the most of it.

The rest of the ship was oddly silent. The only sounds he could hear were Stehrr shuffling to and fro as the Wookiee paced restlessly in the main hold, waiting for the others to return, and Gol and HK moving about in the garage. But that was okay, the quieter the better. He could concentrate then.

It wasn't long before Luke returned with Matthew and Kayala in tow. Peering around the doorway to the medbay, the doctor raised an eyebrow at Matthew's questionable choice of pun. "Really, Luke Teth-walker? Is that the best you could come up with?" he snorted, trying not to roll his eyes. At one time, the joke had been entertaining and everyone on the ship had gotten a kick out of the mercenary mocking the shared first name of their captain and the Rebel's Jedi hero. But it was getting old now as far as Nali was concerned, Matthew needed to get some new material.

Any smart mouthed retort that Matthew might have prepared in retaliation was drowned out by the ear splitting roars coming from Stehrr in the cockpit. Grimacing, he clamped his hands to his ears in an attempt to protect them from the noise.
"Bloody hell, Captain, can you get him to calm down?! Anyone would think we were taking enemy fire!" the doc hollered as loudly as he could and prayed that he would still be heard over Stehrr's screeching.

Corrina Sorovia

Location: The Raven, Dormitory --> Main Hold

If there was one thing Corrina despised about her work with the Republic, it was all those blasted reports Mon Mothma demanded she write following their missions. The general idea was that she would summarize the events of the diplomatic meetings, provide short insight on the other party's motivations and desires, and suggest how to move forward with them, whether the mission was a success or not. Corrina's issue was not with the content of her reports, it was how she was meant to go about it. She found writing reports so bland, and would much rather relay the information face to face. But protocol was protocol, and Corrina was in no position to argue with a system that had worked for her for over a decade.

She had just wrapped up her report when she heard Luke barge onto the ship, his footsteps as heavy as a rancor's. She could all but grin as the crew tossed around banter about a mutiny; after the peace and success of Taris, the crew was in a positive mood. "Captain, if we were to plan a mutiny, I assure you we'd come up with a more elaborate plan than murdering you in the main hold," Corrina smirked, taking a seat. She refreshed her memory about their upcoming mission - Tatooine. The Hutts. Not particularly a mission she looked forward to, but Corrina was well-trained enough to be confident in their success. At the very least, the crew would have some time to work out the kinks of their plan to approach the Hutts. Much of it rested on Corrina and Kayala's ability to sweet-talk the Hutts into a deal with the Republic, but should they fail, there would surely be need of an escape plan.

At least Corrina could say she did her homework on the Hutts. All they really wanted was to be left alone; they couldn't really care where their money went as long as they had food and Twi'lek dancers. The Republic's pitch would be more appealing. The Hutts would provide support to the Republic in order to fight the Empire, and they'd be left alone to do whatever it is they did when nobody was looking. At least they wouldn't be cracking down on the Hutts in every corner of the galaxy like the Imperials were. Corrina considered it a surefire pitch, but you never actually knew what you were getting into with Hutts.

As Kayala wandered by, Corrina raised a hand to attract her attention. "Kayala, what do you know about our upcoming mission? Do you have any experience with the Hutts?" Kayala likely had a face for being on Tatooine, already, but Corrina figured it would be best to work out the kinks of whatever face Kayala would bear for their mission sooner, rather than later.

Shira Jen

Location: The Vindicator

"Explain something to me."

"I'm not talking to you."

"If you stormtroopers are supposed to be the face of the Empire, how come you dipshits get killed so damn often? Don't you think that looks bad?"

No response.

"Or why you couldn't hit the broad side of a sandcrawler if it was right in your face? Do you even get any kind of target practice? Or can you not see out of those helmets?"

The trooper adjusted his footing slightly. Shira smirked, taking a step forward and looking up into the taller trooper's eyes. Or, what she thought were eyes. It was hard to tell with the helmets and all.

"Aww, did I strike a nerve that time? Lemme guess, your best accuracy rating at the firing range this week was sub-30 percent, wasn't it?" She gave the poor stormtrooper on duty a cold smile. She stared into the soulless helmet for several more seconds, before she began to walk away from his post guarding the hangar bay door. "I think we had a good chat today. I think I'll come back next time you're on duty so we can continue it further," Shira called back, waving as she walked away. Prodding the stormtroopers on the Vindicator was always a good way to kill time; "Imperial discipline" too often kept the grunts from fighting back, and Shira loved to watch them squirm.

She made it a good fifty feet before the speakers began to blast a certainly-not-Imperial-sanctioned song throughout the ship. It took about two bars before Shira put two and two together: "Jaina." Muttering to herself about how she'd "toss that crazy bitch back into an asylum," Shira headed for the bridge. After all, there weren't too many people on the ship that Jaina would actually listen to, and Shira needed to shut this shit up before she developed a headache.

Finding Jaina spinning around in the Commodore's chair dancing to the song was just about exactly what Shira expected. She slowly walked up to Jaina, taking a seat on the floor next to her. "Hey you, ya fuckin' psycho," Shira half-shouted over the song. "What do you think will happen when the Commodore gets back, huh? She finds us here blasting your favorite song, and guess what she's gonna do." Shira stood, leaning over the arm of the chair and hanging her head in front of Jaina's. "She's gonna lecture us for an hour like she did the last time you pulled a stunt like this, and then you're gonna be forced to take your meds again. So how about you turn off this song and get out of this chair before I have to drag your crazy ass off the bridge myself?"

Garage -> Engine room

At this point anyone who might have dropped by at the garage may have gotten used to the mess of the young Iradonian's workshop. Piles of machine pieces, a droid arm slumped by the eendtable and a disassembled astromech droid next to the workbench where Gol was busy tinkering the extracted hyperdrive motivator, hoping that she could still salvage some functioning components for the new one w/c by now she hopes that Luke hadnt forgotten again. Midway through her frustrated tinkering the good captain came in right on cue while Stehrr was following him behind like a gleeful little puppy, handing her the brand new motivator that made the Iradonian's eyes sparkle with excitement

"This is a class 1 hyperdrive motivator but if I can transfer the components on our 0.5 shell, the Raven would be able to go smoothly into hyperspace like lightsaber through butter. And yes, you've now became the best captain ever and how dare anyone who plans a mutiny against you. " Gol grinned back at her superior, it was one of these lighthearted moments where she was allowed to get cheeky with the captain, like everyone else.

As Gol careful goes about her tinkering, HK, being in his usual sarcastic dark charm gave a rather concerned remark on the iradonian regarding her thinkering on the engine, that indeed could possibly blow the whole ship down if done carelessly. "Don't worry bunny, that wont surely happen as long as I'm doing it."she said rather airily. Gol had come to call HK fondly with a pending list of pet names she conjures up on the back of her head, as a supposed response to his meatbag namecalling w/c she have come to consider it as his way of saying "darling" or anything cute of the sort. After she got it done easily and quickly, she went to the engine room to to insert the newly repaired hyperdrive.

It was then when a sudden bang came echoing from the engine room the moment Gol settled the engine part, the bang followed a frustrated grunt and blaring wave of curses, half of it was native Zabraki, then assured the group that it was nothing big"It's fine! Just a minor short circuit nothing to worry about! Yuuup, everything's fine!" "Jabba's saggy tits what the hell have I done!??" Now Gol has fried a couple of wires from the hyperdrive's adaptors, and may now need to replace them if she could search for some replacements at the garage or be fast enough to sprint at a nearest component shop before anybody notices that something is definitely wrong.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Main Hold

Kayala couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she heard the recipient of her present start yelling out, he must be very happy that she thought enough of him to bring him back such a gift. He would be giving her large hugs with clean fur in no time; but she would have to refuse because she knew he would crush her in his arms and wasn't about to get her neck snapped by a wookie. Maybe next time she should turn it into a gift basket. You know, something in needle point in a frame; step to better hygiene - complete with a basket of of soaps, shampoos, conditioners, toothbrush, mouthwash and silk ribbons for his fur. Yes, that would be his birthday gift, she had it all planned out now.

Stepping into the main hold Kayala froze in her place seeing the doctor. It wasn't that she had anything personally against the man but doctors in general made her skin crawl and she really didn't want to have him try to get any booster shots for the upcoming mission. Taking a shaky breath she balled her hands up into fists before fanning her fingers out and stepping widely as she could to keep her path around him clear as she headed towards Corrina. Looking over at the man for a moment before turning her attention back towards the woman that had become a sort of mentor for her.

"I have no yet been briefed on the current mission Ma'am but I have dealt with the Hutts in the past and speak the language fluently. They are vile and unrelenting but I do not think it is anything that you and I cannot handle. I will say this, they do not take to weakness well, they will try to assert themselves as the ones with upper hand quickly. Killing to make a point is a common tactic, though they will do it just for the joy of it as well. I would recommend we handle this a bit more carefully than we have in the past but also that we take into consideration that they will be looking at any way to take the advantage. We cannot let them have that, perhaps let them assume they have it for a short time but never letting them have it fully," she stated as she stood there and then glancing back towards the doctor, checking to make sure that he wasn't sneaking up behind her with an inoculation needle.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: The Medical Bay --> The Chapel

Morgbra was having a good old time in the medical bay, dancing around and singing to himself as he went over the supplies for the ship; making sure that everything was in order. The place was rather calm right then. They had a few people in with various aliments but nothing that would rise a concern. One had a cold and was being a baby about it, another had twisted their ankle that morning and was just finishing up getting an X-ray to ensure there was no broken bones; which there were none. So all in all it was peaceful morning where he could relax and just enjoy himself, like he did most of the time.

That was until he heard the music pipe in over his own singing and he froze in his place. He knew that song and he knew exactly from the sound of the song who was at the Bridge right then and what would happen if she wasn't out of there before the commodore showed back up. All hell would break loose and shit would hit the fan. He adored Jaina and knew she meant no harm, he also knew that Jesmand seemed to have a bit more patience with the girl than she did with many others on the ship; having said that, he didn't want the situation to get out of hand and the poor crazy mind to get into trouble. Thinking on the quick he rushed over to the comm and sent an announcement over the ship. The music cut out just long enough for his voice to be heard as he said the following.

"Good morning everyone! Take your marks, our dearest Jaina and I are about to play a game. My little darling, I want you to turn off the music because you will have to think long and hard about this. Now here we go... Little one, little one; can you find me? Can you find me? I am where people fall to their knees but look to the skies. Books of words some believe and some do not line the rows and you may sing there with all your heart as long as your heart is pure and open to more. Can you find me little one? Can you find me?"

Grinning to himself he darted out of the Medical Bay and headed towards rather unused Chapel in the ship. It wasn't a bit area of the ship and few ever took to it but it was there to be there. Running into the place he looked around and was glad to see it empty. Ducking down between some of the pews he hunkered down and started flipping through one of the hymnals as he waited for Jaina.

Luke Teth

Location: Cockpit -> Engine Room

Glancing over his shoulder in the middle of his pre-flight checks, Luke let a smirk split his lips as he saw Kayala come in and drop a comb on Stehrr's console. "Oh yeah, he'll love that." He thought to himself, letting the comb rest where it was. He figured Stehrr wouldn't be particularly pleased when he saw it, he wasn't a fan of well, grooming in general, so no doubt he'd scorn the gift despite any thought, love or good intention that had gone into it. Luke figured if he'd never been able to get the Wookiee to brush his fur, no one would.

For half a moment, Luke froze as he felt the barrel of a blaster to his head, groaning. "Please, let that be a blaster." He smirked however as he heard Sutton's voice to go along with it, turning around in his chair to face her as she plotted the course, kicking his feet up onto the divider between his and Stehrr's seats as he watched Sutton. "Headin' off as soon as Gol gets the hyperdrive fixed, no time for explorin'." He winked toward her, arms crossing over his chest as if to accentuate the finality of the decision.

It was at that point that Stehrr noticed the comb, flailing his arms and beginning to make his distaste known. Luke chuckled as he listened to the furry lug, apart from HK he was the only one on the ship who had any idea what Stehrr was saying, although unlike the droid, Luke was relatively selective with when he chose to be helpful as a translator. "Don't worry, you big baby, i'll tell her." Luke teased the Wookiee in an amused manner, turning back toward the console as he looked away from Sutton, picking up the PA and clearing his throat as he spoke into it.

"This is your Captain with a few brief announcements before we get underway... First off, Kayala - Stehrr would like you to know how thankful he is for the gift, he thinks the comb will just make his coat perfect for the Tatooine summer. And you all failed the mutiny test, Sutton's no longer the second mate, Gol gets tha-" He paused for a moment as he heard the loud bang echoing through the halls, sighing as he spoke again. "Nevermind, Sutton's still my second." He switched off the PA then and moved to stand, wandering down the hall.

"Gol! What're you doin' to my ship?" He asked as he got to the engine room again, looking through the slight smoke which had puffed up from the fried wires, his gaze focusing on the Iradonian as he stood by the entrance, setting his hands on his hips as he waited for some sort of explanation as to what was going on. No getting away with that easily enough.

HK-86

Location: Engine Room

"Commentary: It seems you've just proven yourself quite wrong." HK would point out to Gol in his usual, rather blunt sort of humour as the bang rang out through the ship. Moving a few steps closer, HK peered over her shoulder down onto the Hyperdrive. It took him a moment or two to actually assess the damage, but he did so rather quickly. HK had grown quite accustomed to the ship's dialect, and was able to listen to it clearly enough when something was wrong.

Taking a step back, HK's gaze turned toward the Captain as he came into the Engine room demanding to know what had occurred. His gaze shifted toward Gol for a moment, certain she would be a bit on the spot over what had happened, before he decided to cut in with his explanation. "Explanation: It would appear the motivator you were given was faulty, Master - deliberately sabotaged so as to further damage the hyperdrive. Replacement parts will likely cost more than just the credits from your Pazaak endeavours." The conclusion was one HK had come to relatively quickly, but it was the second time the Raven had experienced something like this. It was almost to be expected, the sore loser who had lost the part didn't want Luke having the last laugh, so how better to ruin that than with a faulty starship part?

Kordath Targon

Location: Command Post

Kordath set his gaze on Jesmand as she spoke with the lower officer, a smile splitting his lips as he remained where he was, hands neatly clasped behind his back as he waited patiently, holding no desire to barge into her conversation. Considering the demeanour of the man she spoke to, Kordath figured that this was perhaps not the best time to speak to Jesmand, but then again - it seemed there was almost never a 'good' time to speak to her. She seemed in a perpetually foul mood.

However, he of course would have to speak to her as she approached him. Giving her a nod, he turned on his heel to head out the door with her, back down the hall. "Commodore, you look radiant as always - I trust you got my report? The smugglers will probably be on their way to Ancorhead within the hour." He explained, getting straight to business as he moved through the halls with her, he assumed toward the landing pad, where her personal shuttle would be waiting for them. Kordath was keen to get underway.

"If we are to destroy them it would be best to wait, in my personal opinion - if they are smuggling in rebels, then prisoners could have quite the amount of information." He suggested with a polite, strangely fatherly smile. It was at times eerie just how polite Kordath could be. For a secret agent of sorts, who could slip a vibroblade into your spine perhaps a million different ways, he almost always had a smile on his face and a spring in his step. It was almost loathsome.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven, cockpit--> main hold

Satisfied with Luke's promise to let Kayala know about the apparent distasteful gift, Stehrr nodded his head and fell quiet, to the relief of the rest of the ship. While Sutton punches in Tatooine's co-ordinates, the pilot busies himself with performing his final checks on the rest of the ship's systems before take off.

A warning light flashes on the control panel. The hyperdrive is still out of action. Stehrr lounged back in his chair, waiting as patiently as he can for Gol to install the new motivator acquired by their captain.
Luke makes the announcement to the crew over the intercom, and as he arrives at the speech towards Kayala regarding the comb, Stehrr begins to growl in protest.
"《No, no that's not what Stehrr said! No change my words, Luke! Luke!!》" But before he can begin any other vehement denial of the statement presented by his friend to Kayala, the explosion echoes through the ship from the engine room, followed by Gol's exclamations.

Stehrr huffed out a concerned breath and shuffled into the main hold to join the rest of the crew that had assembled there to investigate the cause of the commotion. The Raven's engine room was small, and with Gol, Luke, Nali and HK all already gathered in there, it meant there was no room left for the eight foot tall Wookiee to squeeze in as well.

So instead, he peered around the engine room doorway with the rest of the others. HK suggested the possibility of the part being sabotaged as a last attempt to spite Luke out of his winnings, which caused him to become agitated.
"《Next time Stehrr come with Luke. Tear person's arms off if they try cheat again.》" he declared firmly. He may not be fond of strangers, but this faulty part would set them back likely several hundred creds more and a few days' travel time. Something that might have been saved with the imposing threat of a hairy beast that would tear one limb from limb if they tried to back out of an otherwise fair deal.

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven, main hold --> engine room

Nali looked up to meet Kayala's gaze, responding to the woman's paralytic reaction by clearing his throat and shuffling to the side to give her even more space. He took no offense to the behaviour, he's kitted out in his full doctor's scrubs after all so it's no doubt to provoke a fearful response from Kayala. Such is the nature of phobias, and he has yet to make any progress in helping her to conquer hers. He intends to try, but not yet. It's not the right time.

A string of Zabraki curses following a commotion in the engine room gives Nali the perfect excuse to leave the main hold and give Kayala some piece of mind. Slipping past the Naboo senator, he sidled into the small room just before Luke arrived.

The Echani doctor dropped into a crouch beside Gol, whispering. "That doesn't sound good...Gol, what the hell just happened? Smoke coming from the hyperdrive is NOT good." he was by no means an expert at mechanics, but he knew explosions from parts of the ship were never a good thing.
Nali knew Gol well enough by now too, to know that 'everything's fine!', when proclaimed after such an explosion, usually meant the exact opposite.

Any chance of them covering up the mistake was dashed however when Luke appeared in the doorway, arms folded across his chest and glaring expectantly at the Zabrak as if he were waiting for an explanation.

Jaina Sarbye

Location: The Bridge ---> The Chapel; The Vindicator

Jaina had shifted herself in the Commodore's Chair. Her feet were up in the air, with her entire body supported by her shoulders. Her hair dangled down to the ground, and she continued to kick her feet with glee, looking like one of those way too excited background trainers in workout videos. Seeing Shira enter, Jaina waved at her eagerly, letting her legs fall forward. Touching the ground, Jaina unbent herself and stood up straight.

"Isn't this just beautiful?" Jaina gushed, pulling Shira into a hug. Letting out a contented sigh, Jaian let the song continue to play, not bothered in the slightest by Shira's remarks. Leaning her head against Shira's, she whispered softly into her ear, "that's one of the downfalls of comedy, Shira...You're always taking shots from people who just don't get the joke!"

Giggling, Jaina pulled away, doing little cartwheels in the limited space of the bridge. She'd set the song on loop and it continued to play, with a seemingly never ending rush of endorphins going straight to her head. Pausing mid cartwheel, she shifted into a handstand, listening to the voice that cut out her pretty, pretty music.

"Good morning, Morg Morg!" Jaina called out, shifting into a headstand. She held up a finger at Shira, signaling for her to be quiet. She listened to Morgbra's instructions, her mind already whizzing. "I'm good at these!" Tossing a glance over at Shira, she realized that she probably seemed like a ditz. "He's asking me to find someone--bounty hunter, sort of my job."

However, there was one thing that Jaina didn't particularly like about the game. It required the loss of her music. Resolving to ask the Commodore to play her second favorite song the instant she got back, Jaina summersaulted her way back to the controls, shutting off the song. Dashing to the exit of the bridge, Jaina took a bit of a bow. "Bye, Shira! We need to get our toes done later!"

She then, the ever bored little thing, cartwheeled her way down the various corridors of the ship. Anyone who got in her way received a swift kick to the head, and then ended up being the support for her next cartwheel. A few unfortunate stormtroopers ended up being taken out by the bounty hunter, and she merely giggled at them, watching as they collapsed. Eventually, Jaina made it to the chapel, her head only spinning slightly.

Taking a moment to focus, Jaina peeked inside quietly. No one appeared to be in there, but she knew better. Quietly walking inside, Jaina scanned around, before noticing the slightest shadow that didn't belong by the pews. Her perception had to be decent, otherwise, the Empire wouldn't have used her, no matter what her brother said. Leaping onto the pew, Jaina backflipped from pew to pew, eventually pausing once she found Morgbra. With one hand supporting her entire upside down body, she pulled out a blaster, aiming it at the doctor's forehead.

"Gotcha!" Jaina shouted, her face in a twisted grin. "Too easy!"

Sutton Corandel

Location: The Bridge ---> The Main Hold; The Raven

Sutton ducked underneath Stehrr's flailing limbs. Had the wookie been anyone else, Sutton would have complained, informing him to watch himself. However, despite not understanding a word the wookie was saying, she could tell he was upset. In situations like this, it was best just to let the wookie win and have his way.

"Course plotted, Luke," Sutton informed him, stepping away from the computer, and more importantly, away from Stehrr's line of fire. She glanced over at the cause of Stehrr's distress -- the hair brush -- and couldn't help but snicker a bit. However, her smile faded when Luke attempted to demote her. Snatching the PA away from him, Sutton made a few corrections.

"This is Sutton, I'm sad to say that Luke has fallen ill. Its acute asshole-itis, or as you may know it, dickwad disease. I'll be taking over as Captain now. HK and Matthew, make preparations for exploring the planet."

Tilting her head a bit as she smiled, she set down the PA, the scent of smoke wafting over towards her. It didn't seem like they'd be going anywhere anytime soon, at least. The hyperdrive, from Sutton's experience on the Raven, was finnicky at best. And it would be just like Luke to be tricked into receiving a faulty part. He was still the same idiot she'd met in that bar, all those years ago.

"Gee, is there something in my teeth?" Sutton sighed, having been left all alone on the bridge. Twirling her father's knife in her hand, Sutton figured she might as well follow suit, leaving the bridge for the main hold. Too many people in the engine room would only cause further problems. Seeing Stehrr, the Senator, and the Face in the main hold, Sutton regretted for a moment leaving the bridge.

"Bit of a delay, shouldn't be too long," Sutton said, as her way of greeting the trio. "Are you all prepared for your mission, Senator?"

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: The Chapel

Morgbra sat there flipping through the hymnal as he waited for Jaina to show up, he doubted she would have a lot of trouble finding him. He had given her some decent clues and such. He wanted her to be able to find him, it would get her off the bridge and when the music stayed silent he knew that she was at least on the hunt now. Hopefully the music had ended before the commodore had made her way back to the vessel. Though he knew that even if Jesmand had laid into Jaina over it, that she wouldn't have truly been too terribly mad, for some reason the woman like Jaina and even helped to fuel the woman's crazy antics from time to time. Jesmand was a hard person to read.

Hearing a small noise and then the voice of his favorite patient he looked up slowly from the book and gave her a rather approving and proud smile as he closed the book. "Well done, well done indeed little one!" he said clapping his hand together and applauding her. Sure she had a weapon pointed at his forehead but it didn't phase(r) him. (Haha, I made a joke!) He knew she wouldn't pull the trigger unless under order. Standing up he grinned brightly at her and pulled out a lolly pop, in her favorite flavor and held it out to her as he bowed deeply.

"A sweet for the sweetest lady on the ship," he said as his eyes came up and sparkled towards her. Then an announcement came over the comm.

"Dr. Bonwoo, please report to the infirmary. We have some injured that need tending to," the announcement stated. Morgbra smirked a bit and glanced over towards Jaina.

"Did my sweet little one cause a little bit of a ruckus coming to find me?"

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Command Post -> The Vindicator

Jesmand looked over towards Targon and kept her face neutral in the process. The man seemed well too keen on getting underway. The Commodore was glad that they had a mission now and would be underway shortly but there was just something too proper about the man that didn't sit right with her. He seemed to take far too much joy in the thought of certain things. Stepping out of the Command post she walked with him along side her back to her personal vessel and took a seat, waiting for him to join her before it lifted off and headed back to her ship the Vindicator.

"I am sure that if they are smuggling people that they could have vital information but then again there is a great chance that they know far less than we would like. Either way, do remember that none of your specialized interrogation tactics are to be used without my expressed consent in the manner. I do not want you to get free handed while aboard my ship," she said as she looked ahead of her. Thinking to herself for a moment before turning her head to looked over towards the man. "Or off the ship either. My orders do extend beyond just the metal hold," she added in a flat voice as they docked with the Vindicator. She wasn't about to let him use a little loop hole of telling her "Well I wasn't on the ship when I shoved the glass shards under their nails."

Rising from her place she stepped off her personal shuttle and glanced around, everything seemed to be in order but there was something hanging in the air. Seeing one of her crew limping towards the infirmary as he held onto the railing, trying his best to salute her she stopped in her tracks and gave him a bit of a quizzical expression. "Dare I ask?"

"Crazy...I mean Jaina..." he said before hurrying off as best he could. Jesmand groaned inwardly as she nodded and stepped with quicken pace through her ship towards the bridge. It was time to get underway, and hopefully Morgbra had the young girl under control. Though at the thought of what Jaina must have done made a small smile curl along the edge of her lip. It was never boring when she was around, that was for sure.

Corrina Sorovia

Location: The Raven, Main Hold

Corrina sat tight as Kayala spoke, piecing together what she understood in an attempt to being the groundwork of a game plan. It was not as easy as she would have preferred, what with the noise on the Raven, but such was the way of life on the ship. She had become accustomed to working in noisy environments, and in a way, Corrina almost appreciated it. It reminded her of the camaraderie of being young and part of a crew. "I see. Much the same as my experience with the Hutts on Nar Shaddaa, then," Corrina mused, crossing her arms and folding her legs. [color=royalblue]"I'm sure the captain will give the crew a proper briefing on the mission sooner or later. Should he still be the captain by the time we arrive to Tatooine, that is." Corrina smirked, turning her head as Stehrr marched in grumpily. "What did you give Stehrr, by the way? I can't figure out if he's upset or overjoyed."

Before Kayala could give a proper response, Sutton joined the group in the main hold. Corrina smiled warmly at the girl; Sutton may be shifty and more of an unknown than Corrina would like, but it's not like she was about to confront Sutton without some harder evidence. "I'm as ready as I can be. It will be better when the crew gets to sit down as a whole and discuss our mission in greater detail, but that will come in due time. For now, we should tend to the problems with the ship. If I can assist at all, please, let me know," Corrina nodded at Sutton graciously. The crew typically liked to handle problems without involving Corrina, but she always placed the offer on the table. At the very least, Corrina would be good at holding hydrospanners or... whatever tools people used to fix starships, while the crew figured it out.

Shira Jen

Location: The Vindicator, Bridge

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod" was about all Shira could manage to get out of her mouth as Jaina pulled her in for a hug. By the time she recovered from such a traumatizing moment, Jaina had run off, hopefully to terrorize the complete opposite side of the ship. That headache she had desperately been trying to avoid had developed, anyways, so all hope was lost. Shira held her head in her hands, grateful that Morgbra had managed to pull Jaina away from the bridge, but resentful that he had come to the rescue far too late. Shira walked to the controls, hoping to purge any traces of Jaina's music from the system.

"Hey, uh... you should probably get out of there. Commodore's coming quick," one of the men stationed on the bridge called out. Shira almost felt sorry for the guy, but then Shira never actually felt sorry for anyone. She hurried from the controls, making her own way off the bridge.

She passed through the door just as the Commodore rounded the final corner into view. Shira gave a dramatic bow as a welcome. "Your kingdom is largely as you left it, Commodore Cartchri. Jaina continues to ravage the ship, Morgbra continues to be the only one able to stop her when you're gone, and I have a headache. Please tell me you've got good news, ma'am, like, maybe I get to blow some stuff up with the proton torpedoes today," Shira said as she rose from her bow.

Jaina Sarbye

Location: The Chapel ---> Roaming the Corridors; The Vindicator

Jaina tumbled gracefully to the ground, snatching up the lollipop. She tapped him on the head with her blaster as acknowledgement of his bow, before placing it away. Unwrapping the lollipop, she stuck it in her house. Strawberry flavor--so simple, but so delicious!

She chuckled a bit, and shrugged. "Not my fault if they got in the way!" Jaina exclaimed. She didn't see the issue when it came to cartwheeling over people as she went. Walking places was always just so boring. Life was supposed to be vibrant and exciting! It was part of the reason she was so skilled at acrobatics--it was all she practically did when it came to traveling. It didn't matter what the mission was, she enjoyed to fly across surfaces like a member of the circus. In hindsight, it may have been a better place for her than aboard the Vindicator.

However, she hesitated slightly, recalling the exact words over the intercom. Dr. Bonwoo. Morgbra had assured her on several occasions that he wasn't a doctor. Comprehension dawned on her face, and she laughed a bit. "That's a great joke you're playing on them! Acting like you're a doctor!"

Jaina didn't intend to follow him to the infirmary, however. She despised that place. Everyone in there wanted to rob her of her happiness, something she'd allow no one to do. And if Morgbra wanted to play a silly prank on them, she wouldn't help him out with this one. She'd find something else to go off and do. Giving Morgbra a tight hug, Jaina waved as she turned around and left the Chapel, running into the halls of the Vindicator, heading in no direction in particular.

Maybe, if she was lucky, she'd run into the Commodore!

Sutton Corandel

Location: The Main Hold; The Raven

Sutton nodded, attempting her best not to roll her eyes. She'd never known the Senator to be particularly too helpful when it came to ship repairs, but of course, she couldn't help but be biased. Politicians irritated and vexed Sutton to no end. She understood the need for them, but at the same time, she didn't want to interact with them. They were the lesser evil--an evil she had no desire to acknowledge.

"We'll be fine," Sutton reassured the Senator. "Like I said, these repairs shouldn't take too long, and a path has already been plotted."

Her eyes flickered over to Stehrr, hoping that the big baby would start whining about one thing or another. Otherwise, the tense air of the room might have choked her. Smiling weakly at the two of them, Sutton twirled her knife in her hands, one of her habits that never seemed to go away. To those who hadn't spent much time with her, it was intimidating. To those who knew her, it was a constant bet as to when she'd finally lop off her thumb by accident.

She shifted awkwardly, listening to see if any further sounds of distress echoed in from the engine room. She wouldn't have been all too surprised if Luke decided to kick at the hyperdrive to get it to work, rather than simply get the parts they needed. But at any rate, if it was so far gone they'd need to get new pieces, she wouldn't mind a chance to get off ship and stretch her legs. Of course, as the Captain knew very well, Sutton going off ship to stretch her legs usually ended up lasting a good seven hours, and ended with her having some sort of adventure and brush with death.

"Is there anything you two need?" Sutton asked.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Main Hold

Kayala gave the doctor a petrified but grateful nod as he gave her more room. She knew he wasn't a bad person and while he wasn't in scrubs she actually enjoyed spending time with him to an extent. Just right then, he embodied everything she feared and couldn't help herself. She had no reasons to fear doctors, or hospitals. She had never had a bad experience with them but irrational fears were just that - Irrational. There was no explaining them, just an attempt to work through them. Perhaps not even so much to work through them but to be able to deal with them and live with them.

Looking back over towards the Senator she smirked a bit. "Just a fine new hairbrush to add to his collection Ma'am. Must keep that coat shiny and I am sure he goes through so many with as thick as his fur is," she said in a straightlaced voice as she stepped closer. Though her expression was neutral there was a lilt of humor in her voice and a sparkle in her eyes that was not always there.

Nodding she took a small breath. "Yes, of course Ma'am, I am sure once things settle down and we are off world we will be able to sit down the captain and get a bit more information. Now, if you will, I will be in my quarters seeing what I cam research on where we are going and get together a selection of Faces that I might be able to utilize. If you need anything, please alert me. Ma'am," she said giving a curt nod and turning to head back to her private quarters.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: The Chapel -> Medical Bay

Morgbra chuckled a bit at Jaina as he looked up at her. He didn't fear her she was just innocent and you had to know how to handle her. A bit of childish mirth didn't hurt. "Indeed it is little one. It keeps them from trying to steal my happiness. Now, you go play and I will take care of those farts in Medical," he said as he stood up and dusted himself off. Shaking his head with a small smile on his lips he glanced back over to her before she left. "And do be carefully precious one. Don't hurt anyone, we wouldn't want the them to have to come to medical and have their happiness stolen."

Watching as she left he chuckled to himself. Taking a deep breath before he put on a little more of a serious face and made his way out of the chapel and down to the Medical Bay. He opted to take the smaller less traveled corridors, not wanting to get held up by anyone sprawled out on the walkways because of Jaina and needing to avoid others for now. He doubted anyone was deathly injured but he figured there could be a few bruised egos in the place because of the girl. Not that she was trying to hurt anyone but she just did things her own way and you had to be prepared at all times; perhaps a training class in how to fall would be a good thing for all those on the ship to take. You know just in case?

Stepping into the medical bay there were half a dozen there with various injuries. Busted lips, twisted ankles, and the like. It was nothing serious but the amount of grumbling going on let him know he would need to perhaps find a better way to keep Jaina out of trouble. Perhaps it was time for her to take up a new craft project, something where she could be creative and lively without mowing down the entire crew in the process. Baking was out, he wasn't letting her near a kitchen with an open gas stove....

Matthew McConnell

Location: Living Space

As Matt was simply lying on the couch relaxing and minding his own business, he suddenly hears a loud bang coming from the engine room. He simply cringes at it, knowing that Gol somehow screwed up when installing the hyperdrive piece.

"It's fine! Just a minor short circuit nothing to worry about! Yuuup, everything's fine!" assures the Iradonian engineer from below as she attempts to fix it.

"Are you sure about that?" Matt calls out curiously, followed by Luke's angry muttering as they began to check out the damage from the control room.

Some smoke began rising from the hyperdrive slot, which had puffed up from the fried wires. It was rather minimal damage, but still a delay when it comes to getting off this planet. Matt squats down to Gol's level, inspecting the damage from within. While his engineering is rather average when it comes to fixing things, he can still fix and build rather basic technology and machinery if need be.

"Oi..." Matt comments as he gingerly grabs the hyperdrive with his glove, "Yup, this hyperdrive is totally busted. You'll need a new hyperdrive unfortunately... But what happened here?"

It was then when the droid HK-86 came onto the scene with an explanation of his own, speaking to Captain Luke about the situation.

"Explanation: It would appear the motivator you were given was faulty, Master - deliberately sabotaged so as to further damage the hyperdrive. Replacement parts will likely cost more than just the credits from your Pazaak endeavours."

The mercenary sighs as he looks at the droid with a confused look.

"Faulty?" he asks with his left eyebrow cocking up, "What do you mean faulty?"

He then turns to Luke and stands back up.

"From who and where'd you get the hyperdrive from?"

Kyatrah Selinema

Location: Outside Mos Eisley Command Post -> Vindictor

While still roaming the command post, Kayla soon received orders from the Captain to make their way back to the Vindictor. At last, she'll be finally off this hot and boring planet. She approached Captain Cartchri's and Targon's position and boarded the shuttle with a mere silence. She wasn't exactly in the mood to talk at the moment. After all, what could she say? Despite being on the Captain's good side, and a good reason to be as well, she just felt like being silent. Probably an echo to the days back during her time at the academy.

Regardless, it simply didn't matter, as the shuttle soon boards the Star Destroyer, lifting up her boarding ramp as the three head into the hangar bay. Everything seemed to be in order... however, one of the crew-mates seemed to be heading to the infirmary with a limp, signifying that he caused an injury. How it was caused was a mystery... until he mentioned Jaina. Looks like the crazy one was at it again, with no doubt having the "help" of either the Tie Pilot Bitch, or the Smooth-Grooving Morgbra, maybe even both. From within her helmet, Kayla simply frowned as they find Shira Jen walking towards their position, bowing in a rather dramatic way.

Kayla wanted to bark at Shira for her to hold her tongue, but considered it an illogical proposition. Instead, she glared at the Pilot, her black Death Trooper helmet hovering ominously upon her shoulders.

She then wonders about the wounded officer... and how many more could've been harmed as well...

Gol Zhavromi

Engine room -> Jaa's engine shop -> Ship

Indeed this wasnt the first time she messed up big time. She got too excited and missed a small faulty detail on the component, and now the hyperdrive is screwed. Gol turned to Hk, nervously putting together a plan on how to get the busted engine fixed and without the captain's knowing.

"What? Of course not, this is...this is normal." she took another glance at the smoking hunk, she's not getting out of this even with her seemingly convincing assurance " Ok, Hk." She grabbed the droid by it' shoulders, her voice now commanding "Listen, I'm gonna sprint to the engine shop really fast and get this fixed in a lightspeed. Whatever the case, don't EVER let the captain get in the engine room. DONT..." Just as she was about to proceed Gol shivered in horror when she saw the captain standing by the door demanding an explanation.

"Captain!" surprised and sweating nervously, she wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. "Oh, nothing to worry about, It was just.. uh..." as she was about to tell a less, worrying explanation on the situation, HK sort of did it for her, although mostly the problem was caused by her cursory inspection, a failure on her part as a mechanic. If they ever got to blast off with this faulty engine, they could've had been blown to bits while jumping to hyperspace, and thinking about it made Gol feel angry at her own carelessness.

Nali and Matt went to check on the engine, "An audience to witness my failure, just what I need." Noevertheless, she kept her composure on the situation, grabbing the busted thing on Matt's hands.

"No, not exactly." Taking a careful glance on the device. Yep, it's pretty much busted. "It's not as bad on the inside." She double checked, and a portion of it needs replacing, plus the fried up components that effected the blasted area. "Hmm, yeah. Okay. We need a brand new thermal insulator on this thing, plus a few new wirings but, not to worry." She gave the hyperdrive piece back to Matt, swiftly grabbing her pack and jacket "I'll go check if Jaa's got em over the counter. Be back in a jiffy." she hurriedly went out of the room, and almost slid down on the exit ramp, determined to fix the embarrassing mess she did.

"Out of the way!"

Gol was dead serious when she said she was gonna sprint 5 meters to the shop. And in the middle of the crowd she was slipping through them, and even pushing anyone who was in her way. "Hey watch it!" Ignoring the annoyed responses she focused on the overlooking neons of the shop "Yeeees, I can almost smell the sweet scent of newly oiled engine parts from here..."when out of nowhere a hovercraft paratially ran her over, she dropped on her knees and felt her ankle crack. "Son of a.."

"Watch were you're fucking going." The smug looking twilek asked as she got on her feet. " Well asshole, why don't get your eyes checked and WATCH WHERE YOU'RE FUCKING DRIVING T'LAU!" her cheeks now flushing red from anger.

"What you say to me, cunt?" The driver looked like he was ready to get rough, w/c Gol is more than glad to give this poor guy a piece of her but has no time for, the crew was waiting on her to fix the damn hyperdrive. The douche is lucky, she thought, that she was willing to look the other way for once. "Whatever asshole." She ran, limping this time, towards the shop, where inside she was greeted by a group of elderly ithorians in the middle of a pazaak party. Jaa, the ithorian merchant was sitting with her pazaak buddies, recognizing her regular as she stood up from her seat.

"Golsia! Have you not seen the sign outside, we are unfortunately closed for today." the ithorian said politely w/c Gol, who now has little patience to even appreciate the ithorian's good nature.

"I have no time. Just please hand me these parts, I really need those right now." she said rather irritatingly, the itorian observed the haggard iradonian that almost seem to want to ask her what had happened, but Jaa decided to keep her mouth shut and mind her own business. Making time for her loyal customer she checked on the list of components she wrote down on a piece of paper.

"I'm afraid I cant provide you with the thermal insulators, I have the last of them scheduled to be delivered to one of my customers tommorrow afternoon. I'm sorry." Gol sighed in disappointment, shooking her head "Look. Can't you just, give me those parts instead? You can have a new one be delivered by then, "

"There's no time, even if i were to contact the manufacturer today it wont be enough, Urso will be expecting..."

"SCREW URSO, WHo ever he is!" She snapped, landed a blow on the surface counter, her patience reaching its limit w/c Jaa has come to realize now. "The Republic demands you to provide aid for the cause and you're denying your responsibility as a their citizen?" the elderly ithorian's eyes turned to worry and horror and in the midst of her anger Gol felt bad, ashamed, for doing this to the nice old ithorian lady.

"Of course... I'll get them for you." Jaa went to get the parts while Gol contemplates on what she just did, and noticed the group of ithorians watching her in suspicion.

"What?" She said, as they looked away and decided to mind their own business. Jaa quietly handed her the parts, and Gol fished out all the credits in her wallet and slammed them on the counter. "Keep the change." she said as she headed off.

Gol managed to limp back to the ship, beholding herself to the crew looking all miserable and shitty. Despite that she managed to gave them assurance "Got the parts right here. This'll only take about 40 mins or so." She said to the captain. She carefully went to the garage, and replaced the needed parts and this time, thoroughly checking everything. When everything seemed to be in order, she went back to the engine room to get it running. The sweet sound of running engine was a huge relief to her ears. "What I tell you?" smiling smugly, as she stood up to her feet, a sting of pain from her ankle turned her smile into a sour frown. "Damn that bastard twilek"she muttered, thought she couldnt hold this bothering pain any longer, and decides to have a quick visit to the doctor. She then limped to the med bay, before Nali could even ask Gol intercepted him " I got ran over by some idiot. I think my ankle's wrecked." she said.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven, main hold

"《Gol should be careful! Maybe more bad parts or dangerous humans!》" Stehrr fretted as a flustered Gol breezed past him, declaring that she would be back in only a moment's notice. The Wookiee shuffled his feet, a habit that his crewmates would be well used to by now, and began pacing back and forth outside the engine room waiting for her return.

He still didn't like this, but Gol had said she was going to Jaa's store and that soothes his nerves a bit. He trusts the Ithorian more than a human.
Luke is still standing with his arms crossed as he stares at the smoking hyperdrive and the rest of the crew begins to mill about minding their own business while they wait for their mechanic to return with the necessary parts.

Stehrr hovered at Matthew's shoulder as he questions Luke as to whom he acquired the tampered parts from. The Wookiee nodded eagerly and became rather animated as he proclaimed his agreement with Matthew and the droid.
"《Yes Luke, tell which nasty person gave you parts! Stehrr and Matthew go and sort them out. Re-arrange body parts if need to. Right?》" he looked towards Matthew as if expecting the mercenary to agree to the excursion.

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven, engine room --> medical bay

Denali nodded as Gol quickly stood and headed for the loading ramp, waving the Zabrak off.
"You go ahead, I'll cover for you as best I can." he reassured her, brushing a small smudge of oil off his scrubs and joining the others in the main hold for a short moment. "Just a minor set back, folks! Nothing to worry about I'm sure!" the doctor smiled, leaning on the doorframe as he peered down the hall towards Luke in the control room who is looking particularly aggrevated.

Stehrr begins to stamp his feet, grunting, growling and grumbling rather quickly in a way that indicates he is getting himself worked up again. Like most of the Raven's crew members, Denali struggles to understand the Wookiee's speech but he can at least observe Stehrr's mannerisms to give him some kind of indication. Given the current situation it seems he is intending to get acquainted with the previous owner of that motivator and not in a friendly way.
"Hey hey, let's not start getting nasty with people, okay big guy?" he asked the Wookiee with a smile as he patted the hairy creature on the arm to reassure him. "That's not going to solve anything. I'll be in medbay if anyone needs me." he declared as a final farewell before returning to the room next door to the control room where all his medical gear and such are situated.

The doc wasn't in the medbay long, he had scarcely put on a new set of scrubs, before Gol limped in to join him there. Streaks of engine oil and grime paint her hands and face, which is contorted into an uncomfortable grimace. The mechanic is clearly in pain before she has even begun to explain what occurred when she was planetside.

"I got ran over by some idiot. I think my ankle's wrecked." Gol grimaced again and the doctor nodded, getting up from his chair while at the same time gesturing for the Zabrak to take a seat on the gurney.
"Sure looks like you've had a run in..Sit down and let me take a look at it."

Luke Teth

Location:Engine Room -> Main Hold

Luke let out a long, immensely irritated groan at HK's explanation of what was wrong with the hyperdrive, and how he had essentially been swindled by those he'd been playing Pazaak against. Listening to Gol's more specific explanation didn't completely help, but at the very least he appreciated it was fixable. Glancing over to Matt as he questioned the source of the part, Luke gave a sheepish shrug of his shoulders. "Won it from a shift Sullustan in Pazaak." He let a moment pass for how terrible the explanation was to sink in, before justifying himself somewhat. "At the time saving the credits seemed like a good idea. - y'ain't goin' to shoot him."

Taking a step aside, Luke watched as Gol sprinted out of the Engine room and down the ramp, he might've barked a bit about her 'breaking' the hyperdrive, but he couldn't be mad at the girl for her commitment to fixing it. Turning back to Stehrr as he spoke up again, Luke chuckled and nodded, reaching up to give the Wookiee an affectionate pat on the chest of sorts. "Not a bad plan, buddy." Sighing again, he took a step back out of the engine room and down the hall toward the main hold, looking over those present."Still the captain, and always gonna be while this ship's in one piece, Senator." He smirked, walking in just in time to hear her comment, moving over to her and Sutton as Kayala moved off.

"Gol is off gettin' a part that won't blow up the hyperdrive, then we can start gettin' underway - so no time for you to go explore, sorry Sutton." He shrugged his shoulders and gave a somewhat sympathetic expression, but the smug grin on his face betrayed the more sarcastic hint to his actions as he watched her. He appreciated that it wasn't too long before Gol was back aboard, the settlement wasn't too far and he assumed it hadn't taken her long to get the part itself. He made a note to reimburse her for the credits she spent, she might have blamed herself for the break, but he'd gotten the faulty part in the first place. For now, he was just pleased to hear the hum of the engine.

HK-86

Location:Engine Room

HK turned his gaze toward Matthew as he spoke up to question the droid's explanation, and if it were possible he likely would've rolled his eyes. "Definition: Faulty - not working; having defects; broken; defective; inoperative; useless." Sarcasm was teeming from the droid as he watched the group, listening as Gol spoke up and continued to explain herself. The presence of the Wookiee only did more to irritate the droid, as HK held no love for the alien's tendency to hug him, and despite never experiencing it - he had a habit of complaining about the smell.

"Suggestion: Alternatively master, I could accompany you next time - I could produce far more efficient forms of intimidation and slaughter than the Wookiee." He insisted in response to Stehrr's insistence that he accompany Luke the next time he went gambling. HK didn't much care for the result of the gambling itself, or ensuring his Master got a good deal, he was instead more interested in the possibility of getting to shoot something.

Kordath Targon

Location:Command Post -> The Vindicator

Maintaining his ever-so-pleasing smile as he watched the Commodore, Kordath shadowed the woman out to her shuttle, taking relative care to maintain a position half a step behind her, not walking alongside her as he climbed aboard the vehicle, taking a seat across from her gently as it began to rock slightly before taking off toward the Star Destroyer which sat clear in orbit. As she began to speak, Kordath kept his gaze on her intently, the polite smile never once leaving his face as she spoke.

"Oh, Commodore, I wouldn't dream of going without your word, whatever information the rebel scum might have can wait, it helps the interrogation if they've been starved and exhausted a bit first." He chuckled as if it had been a rather amusing joke. It was fairly obvious how Kordath felt in regards to members of the New Republic. He, as many others who'd been smothered in Imperial Propaganda since birth, saw them as nothing but terrorists, and had no issue dealing with them in even a somewhat inhumane manner. That was just his style, after all.

As the shuttle docked, Kordath rose from his seat and followed Jesmand out onto the ship, adjusting his uniform once more as he clasped his hands neatly behind his back, glancing to the wounded man as he began to speak up regarding Jaina. "Ah, isn't she an angel?" He commented with a chuckle, following Jaina along as her shadow of sorts for the time being until he was shooed off or something more pressing came to mind, maintaining his eerily cheerful smile as Shira approached and spoke to the Commodore.

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Vindicator

Jesmend rested her hands in her lap as her personal cruiser took off and headed back towards the Vindicator; her face remaining neutral. Well what was considered neutral for her, she always seemed to keep some little condescending smirk on her lips and in her eyes. Listening to Targon speak her eyes shifted slightly to look at him. The lilt in his voice and the glee in his eyes made her question if he perhaps enjoyed his work a little too much.

"I think you need to learn the difference between Interrogation and Torture my dear Targon. That or I can only hope that there isn't a doppelganger of you fighting for the Rebels that subjects our loyal members of the Empire to the same tactics you wish employee on their people." The commodore kept her words and inflection flat while she spoke. She knew Targon was effective at getting his job done and that some of what he did was essential for the Empire, there were always a few that had to get their hands dirty as it were. Granted, that was metaphorically speaking; she wondered as she looked at him if dirt would even risk attaching to his hands.

As her ship docked with the Vindicator she undid her restraints and rose form her place, exiting with her shadow following close. (Now Children, this is where you start singing - come join me - Me and my shadow strolling down the avenue.) Her hands clasped behind her back as she made her way, a simple curt nod to the lowers that passed her. Several coming to her to report in before she would send them on their way, never missing a step as she walked. Seeing Shira come into view she cocked a brow.

"Then it seems that everything is at status quo. I would expect nothing less. She keeps the crew on their toes and alert. Perhaps they need to pay better attention if they cannot spot a woman of her volume coming from a mile away," she stated as she continued on her way and motioned for Shira to walk with her.

"Shira, a course has been plotted for Ancorhead, I want you to go over it. We need the the speediest route, not the most efficient this time. We have received intel of possible smuggling and rebel sympathizers. I want to investigate," she said stressing the word investigate as she looked over towards Targon. "The less use of force required the better." Looking back before her she kept walking, keeping a steady pace as she went.

"Kayla, make sure your troopers are ready though just in case, I want them well rested and in top form by the time we enter the Ancorhead's system. It is far better to be prepared for force and not require it than to be caught with our..." she said as she came to a stop and her words trailed off as they turned onto a platform and there was a man hanging off the edge, caught by his uniform dangling there, his pants having slid down to his ankles as gravity tried to pull him further. He was swinging there struggling to right himself so he could crawl back onto the walkway. "Pants down."
