Jaina Sarbye

Location: Roaming the Corridors; The Vindicator

Jaina grinned widely to herself, aware of the shadow she'd gained. Kordath was one of her best friends on the ship, and she tried her best not to squirm in excitement. The last game they'd played, he had her dangle one of the stormtroopers upside down. It honestly looks like loads of fun. Making her way through the corridors, listening for the soft sounds of Kordath following her, Jaina eventually came into a large, open area. A metal bridge connected this side of the ship to the other, the very sort of bridge that perilous lightsaber duels occurred on. Eagerly skipping onto it, Jaina let out a big grin.

"Remember that game we played last time?" Jaina asked, finally acknowledging Kordath's presence. "I bet he got to see all sorts of cool things, upside down...Things no one else got to see, unless they were a bat!"

Sighing wistfully, Jaina grabbed onto the metal bar of the railing. It had been installed as an attempt to improve safety, as well as to encourage people to actually use these bridges without fear of death. Not that any of that bothered dear Jaina, of course. Holding onto the bar tightly, Jaina perched herself on it, wrapping her legs around it tightly. Lifting up her hands, Jaina beamed at Kordath. "Come on, come and play the game with me!"

Letting gravity pull herself downward, Jaina fell forward, her legs hooked around the metal bar the only thing separating her and certain death. Her hair looked almost like a Troll Doll, the way it fell forward with her. Laughing to herself, she waved her hands around, and then comically wrapped them around her throat. "Darth Kordath, stop! You're choking me!" Jaina exclaimed.

She blinked slightly, feeling the blood rush to her head. Waving her arms back and forth to get momentum, Jaina swung herself back up, her feet landing firmly on the bridge. Taking a bit of a bow, she then ran over to Kordath and gave him a firm hug. "Your turn!"

Sutton Corandel

Location: The Main Hold ---> The Bridge; The Raven

"What's the point in traveling the universe if you don't stop to see it, Luke?" Sutton sighed, shaking her head at him. Throwing in an eye roll for good measure, Sutton couldn't help but feel slightly relieved as the Face left the room. One less person for her to deal with for the meantime.

"Does Gol have an estimate on how long this repair will take?" Sutton inquired. She knew that fixing a hyperdrive wasn't always an easy task. She had a fair bit of mechanical knowledge herself. In hindsight, perhaps she should have gone with Luke to win the part, and examine it before he claimed ownership of it. It would've prevented the entire situation before it even started.

However, her question seemed to answer itself. The engine's hum became apparent in her ears, and Sutton grinned widely. Nodding at the Captain and everyone else in the Main Hold, Sutton returned to her place on the Bridge, ready to assist Stehrr and the Captain with whatever task they needed to complete. Taking her usual seat, Sutton quickly double checked that the course was still correctly plotted, and settled in. It was about time for some dashing heroics.

Corrina Sorovia

Location: The Raven, Main Hold

"Oh, I think I'll be alright. Thank you, Miss Corandel," Corrina replied with a polite nod. "And I have the utmost belief in the crew's capabilities." She could feel Sutton being short with her, but there was never a time when their interactions weren't brief and straightforward. Corrina was certain their issues would one day come to a head, but these were hardly the circumstances for that. The moments before embarking for a mission were typically improper moments for suggesting that a crew member was hiding something about their past - or, to be more accurate, their entire past. Leaving no trace throughout the entire galaxy is a near impossibility, after all.

As Luke entered the room, Corrina lightened up noticeably. "I wouldn't have it any other way, Captain. Though perhaps our methods of acquiring replacement parts for our ship should be reconsidered," Corrina teased. There probably weren't any other crew members Corrina was as friendly around as she was with Luke, though there weren't any crew members she had as much history with as Luke, either.

Shira Jen

Location: The Vindicator

As requested, Shira followed the Commodore closely, eagerly soaking in every word. The command was boring, but a necessary evil; Shira had learned through experience that scouting the enemy was just as important as bombing the living shit out of them, if not more important. You can't bomb an enemy if you don't know where they're going to be. The upside of the command was that Shira was going to be spending more time on the bridge and around the Commodore; the Commodore was, of course, the entire reason Shira had relocated to the Vindicator. She'd take every opportunity she could to learn from her commanding officer, and most importantly, she'd actually put an effort into biting her tongue for Commodore Cartchri.

She found the Commodore's opinion on Jaina a fresh take, though. Shira too often saw Jaina as an efficient killing machine when at work, but mostly just a pain otherwise. It was still hard for Shira to fully bring herself past that prejudice, but it was something for her to chew on between assignments.

Shira saluted, dismissing herself from the Commodore's entourage. She bolted for the bridge without waiting for the Commodore's signal - not exactly Imperial protocol, but that was hardly her problem. When she arrived at the bridge, she immediately got to work refining the route to Anchorhead. It was a short flight south from Mos Eisley to Anchorhead; not much to improve upon given that the standard flight path was only a few hours. However, most flight paths curved west in order to cross over Tosche Station to get to Anchorhead, running just along the Jundland Wastes so as to avoid major elevation changes. That was crap - the Vindicator flew well above any mountain range or canyon on Tatooine, so Shira rerouted the Vindicator further east, nearly into a straight line. It would shave off just under an hour of flight time, though the increased elevation required for her route would likely burn more fuel. An easy tradeoff to justify, Shira figured, especially given Commodore Cartchri's orders.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Main Hold -> Her Quarters

"Of course Ma'am," she said gently to the senator. Kayala nodded towards the Captain as she left and made her way back down to her quarters. She had several Faces that she could use and had on stand by; wanting to sort through them and get them organized before they reached their destination. The issue with the ship didn't phase her, she knew it was well under control and that there was nothing to worry about. Their mechanic was top notch, if nosy, and always kept them flying. Plus there was nothing she could do to help out with that particular issue, so it was best that she stuck with what she knew instead of trying to press herself into a matter that she would only complicate by her very presence.

Closing the door behind her as she stepped into her room she glanced around, the place was a mess. Well, not really. To look at it, it was probably one of the neatest, cleanest, and most organized rooms in the ship. Yet for her right then it was a total pig sty. Sighing to herself she reached up and brushed back her bangs a bit before getting to work. Dusting, organizing, and more. She knew if she didn't take care of the mess first she would just keep thinking about it and worrying about it until she actually got to it; which would take her focus off her Faces and could lead to oversights. This would not do.

Once everything was in order she pulled out trunk after trunk of her various Faces and started to get to work. Her mind centering on blank for now. She was a canvas and needed to be blank for a Face. One did not draw a masterpiece on top of another, so it was with Faces. Each detail was added over the empty space in her mind, letting each one fill in as needed until a complete personality, voice, accent, and look was in place. Though she had not settled on exactly which face she intended to put to use, the ones she had narrowed it down had similarities; so she drew from those for now. Once she knew more she would pinpoint just which one would be most useful for the venture and to aid the crew in the best possible way.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: Medical Bay

Today wasn't shaping up to be anything out of the ordinary for Morgbra, it seemed that most mornings these days were spent with him getting up, telling himself he looked oh so pretty in the mirror, before making it down to medical and then playing a little game with Jaina. After which he would always get a page to come see the damage she had done. It was nothing serious, most just liked to come in there to get away from her or out of her path. It was safer in the Medical Bay when it came to Jaina's antics than anywhere else in the ship. Jaina hated Med Bay, so unless something big happened she wouldn't enter. He was lucky if she even poked her head in to see him on days he was busy.

Bruises and bumps where tended to, cuts were cleaned, an one broken bone was set. It wasn't anything his staff couldn't handle but he did enjoy his work and insisted on being there for as much as possible. It didn't matter if it was a sniffle of a sniper round, he wanted to be hands on. Most all of the crew knew he was once on the Rebel side and several had a problem with that but when you are bleeding out you tend to stop worrying about where a person came from as long as they could make it stop and keep you breathing. It was because of his skill and dedication as a doctor that he had won over a fair amount of the crew. Sure there were still people who questioned him but he didn't let it get to him. In fact he thrived on it. It just meant he had to keep working.

Would he ever go back to the other side? Sure, and he didn't hide that fact. He was a healer first and as long as he could do that, he would continue to for the Empire. If they tried to stop him like that one fucktard, he would walk. They knew that. Commodore knew that and to her credit, she never got in his way. They were two very different people but they both wanted the same for the crew; their survival.

"And another thing," one tropper was trying to state as Morgbra finished bandaging up his wrist. The man had been going on for the last twenty minutes about Jaina being a drain on the staff. Morgbra had finally had enough as he finished securing the wrap.

"If I were you, I would look out to where you are walking and start walking out of this medical bay before you need some real attention for a true wound and I am far too busy taking care of an ingrown toe nail to tend to the bullet in your chest," he said before turning and pulling his gloves off; walking away from the man to go over to another patient. The man looked at him oddly but got the point and hurried back to his post.

Matthew McConnell

Location: The Raven

HK turned his gaze toward Matthew as he spoke up to question the droid's explanation. "Definition: Faulty - not working; having defects; broken; defective; inoperative; useless."

Matt simply sighs in annoyance at the droid's sarcasm.

"I think you're the one who's faulty," he mutters at HK-86 with a grit in his teeth as he asks Luke where he got the hyperdrive.

The captain cave a sheepish shrug of his soldiers as he explains after the droid explained what might've happened to it.

"Won it from a shift Sullustan in Pazaak." He says, followed by a pause, "At the time saving the credits seemed like a good idea. - y'ain't goin' to shoot him."

"No I wouldn't," Matt replied, followed by a smug grin, "I'd kick his ass instead."

Then, Gol quickly snatched the busted hyperdrive from the mercenary's hands and began to explain more scientifically, while Stehrr and Denali came into the engine room as well.

"No, not exactly [busted]. It's not as bad on the inside." She says, checking the inside of the hyperdrive, color=f9ad81]"Hmm, yeah. Okay. We need a brand new thermal insulator on this thing, plus a few new wirings but, not to worry."[/color] She gave the hyperdrive piece back to Matt, swiftly grabbing her pack and jacket "I'll go check if Jaa's got em over the counter. Be back in a jiffy." she hurriedly went out of the room, and almost slid down on the exit ramp.

Matt sighs as he juggles the busted piece of electronic in his hand. He then thinks on grabbing along Sutton so the two can maybe explore the town a little more. I mean, what can a jiffy mean anyways?

"Gol is off gettin' a part that won't blow up the hyperdrive, then we can start gettin' underway - so no time for you to go explore, sorry Sutton."

Matt wanted to burst out on the lines of "C'moooon, it'll just be for five minutes." or something around those lines, but he decided to go against saying it at the moment. Knowing Gol, she'll be back pretty soon anyways, so it was pointless for them to explore Dantooine at the moment.

"What's the point in traveling the universe if you don't stop to see it, Luke?" Sutton sighed, shaking her head at him.

"We'll go exploring on the next planet we land on." he calls out to Sutton, "Don't worry. But we can always start watching some of your old movies in your collection. You can choose, by the way, since I chose the last time."

Eventually however, Gol was able to return back to the ship and was able to fix the hyperdrive... with the cost of her ankle it seemed. It was finally high time for the Raven to get her ass off the ground.

Kyatrah Selinema

Location: Outside Mos Eisley Command Post -> Vindictor

"Kayla, make sure your troopers are ready though just in case, I want them well rested and in top form by the time we enter the Ancorhead's system. It is far better to be prepared for force and not require it than to be caught with our... Pants down."

"Acknowledged." replies the Squad-Leader to Captain Cartchri, "I will have them ready at once."

With that, Kayla made a quick turn to the Eastern Hangar doors and heads straight to the barrack room. As she entered the room, three other Death Troopers were inside, each with their own nickname and specialty on the battlefield.

The one sitting down, polishing his helmet, and was the closest to Kayla is DN-3987, or "Techno", the slicer and technology expert. The one standing up, while inspecting his rifle, and leaning over a locker is DN-5990, or "Sharp-Shot", the expert marksman and scout. And the one smoking a cigarette at the corner and the farthest from Kayla is DN-7462 "Thunda", the expert demolition and heavy weapons. These elite Death Troopers form the second generation of Death-Squad, the elite Storm Commando unit that was tasked in going on some of the toughest missions in the galaxy, and their reputation is feared throughout the galaxy. And now... it was time for them to go back to work once again.

Techno was the first to look up at the Captain, who had just taken off her helmet, showing the skull tattoo that permanently stuck to her face.

"Are we going on another mission, Skull?" he asks curiously as he puts down his helmet beside him.

"Quite possibly." the squad-leader responds as she looks at the commando units, "The Vindictor is on course to the Ancorhead system, and Captain Cartchri says that we need to be ready by the time we get there."

"Who are we targeting this time?" Sharp-shot then asks, forming a sinister grin.

"The usual." replies Kayla again, "We'll be briefed on the mission at hand, but from what I've heard we'll be... investigating, possible smuggling and rebel sympathizers in the area."

A single "Hmph" can be heard coming from Thunda as she blows out the smoke.

"As long as I get to blow some shit up, I'll be fine with that." she replies with a thick voice.

"Again, I want you all to be ready for the Captain before we launch to hyperspace. You have fifteen minutes to prepare."

And with that, the Death Troopers salute their squad-leader, as she nods and marches out of the room to make one last sweep around the area before they report to the Captain. The rest begin to prepare for the investigation at hand.

Gol Zhavromi

Medbay

Whenever Gol gets to visit the medbay, there could only be two things as to why that she got injured at work or that she got herself into a fist fight with some drunkass at the cantina. Getting run over by a hovercraft was an entirely new experience though, so was running away from a fight. Her teeth gritted at the thought of that smug driver's blue face, both her fist unbearably itched to pound those pretty teeth of his off of him. Gol sat there as she let Nali do his medical magic, indeed there's no worst injury that the echani doc could'nt heal, as Gol herself realized by the many times she frequently ends up here.

A sting of pain ran through her left injured leg while the good doctor was in the midst of his doctoring. " Dammit Nali!" she said, disgruntled "Watch what your doing will you?" Gol felt great discomfort at her injury but she knew Nali was doing everything to help and once again she compulsively unleashed her inner dickishness on someone who doesn't deserve it. She felt sorry, and only to let it show in her face rather than directly saying it as she turned her gaze away from him. Gol broke the momentary silence after that, "So." Trying to ease the tension, and though she was not really the best at cracking jokes, that's pretty much Matt's department. She tries still, feeling this one desperately calls for it. "Am I gonna make it? If not, then tell everyone I want my body be carried on a X wing and fly me through the galaxies." she said in a deadpan expression.

Marcel Severion

The Vindicator

The Vindicator's surveillance where monitors show every possible corner of the ship is where Agent Severion usually frequents to do the most part of his job. A handful of the crew technicians operate them, which whom Marcel would receive certain reports on any suspicious happenings on the ship. On another adjacent isle, is where they facilitate the ship's security features. Part of being in the internal affairs was having a high level security authorization, whatever it takes to get the job done most effectively, and his job does a lot of lowkey snooping for any suspicious activities within the ship. Gazing from one monitor to another Marcel stood as he observed the usual happenings onboard the Vindicator, his eyes glued to one person in particular. Recently there have been reports of two crewmen having suspicious meetings on the ship's cargo holds , one of suspects, a junior crewman had been regularly dropping by the same location, and then followed by another crewmember all of these meetings occuring in the most questionable hours. It will be no surprise if these private meetings could be a brewing treason, after what he had witnessed in the past he knows what these rebels are capable of. If they are able to go as far as slipping inside the Empire, he admits that it's quite an impressive feat.

Marcel signaled two of the men as they are headed immedietly to the cargo holds. The armed men complied, walking with the Agent as they ready to take on whatever is on the other side of that room. Pausing by the blast doors, the men waited for the agent's signal before they barged in, Marcel drew a bemused look at the suspect, pants down and was over his topless lover, their faces distorted in fear. The agent could do nothing but shook his head in disappointment as the two scurried to put their clothes back on, both of them may not even be older than 20 or so. With what's happening in the Empire right now, it's just a great idea to let loose and get crazy before taking a blaster to the head that could likely happen one of these days. It wasnt that long that he himself was once young and stupid and in love, he couldnt exactly blame them for this, but as such things can only lead to destruction topped with an ugly blotch on their permanent records as it's what he intends to do right now.

"Take them to interrogation. I'll personally send my reports here to the commodore." He left the room and over to the the bridge. On the way he got pass Jaina who was dangling on the rails by the corridor then to Kordath and Kayla whom he greeted with a nod. He then turned to the commodore, his stoic demeanor slightly lightened, as he always does when he's around her. "Our suspected treason case proved to be nothing but a steamy randevous between two junior crew members. If you ask me I'd arrest whoever screens these soldiers for subterfuge." Marcel just then caught a glimpse of a man, dangling by the edge of the bridge. Sighing deeply, he then turned back to the captain. " You see my point?"

Luke Teth

Location:Main Hold -> The Bridge

"Somebody's gotta do a job on this ship, Sutton - can't all just be swash-buckling space adventurers." He'd grin, throwing a smug wink in her direction as he watched her moved off toward the bridge to get settled. Turning over to the Senator, he smirked at her comment, shrugging his shoulders. "Gamblin's always worked in the past, colour me surprised it didn't work out perfectly this time." He grinned, shrugging his shoulders as he stood there. "Though maybe in future i'll consider buying the parts."

Glancing about, Luke watched as people moved about between the medbay and the engine room, shifting away from the Senator with a nod to head up to the bridge, taking his seat after giving Sutton a slight nudge with his elbow. Settling down, he cleared his throat as he began the take-off sequence, bringing up the entry ramp as he reached up to activate the PA. "This is the Captain speaking, I hope no one left anything outside, because we're leavin'." Ineloquent, but it got the point across as he lifted the ship up off the ground.

Luke was a reasonable enough pilot, he'd flown by himself for a long while without Stehrr, and he could handle a simple take-off by himself. Starting up the thrust, he edged the ship upward slowly, taking only a short while of the ship rocking somewhat to get up and through the atmosphere, piercing through and out into the blackness of space. Shifting part the few lanes of ships coming down to Dantooine, he began to pilot the ship clear of Dantooine itself, it would be a short while before they were ready to make a jump to hyperspace, but before long they'd be on their way to Tatooine.

Kordath Targon

Location:The Vindicator

"Oh worry not, dearest Commodore, the Rebels could never conjure up one such as me, they'd lack my charms." He commented with a hearty chuckle, positively narcissistic as always. He stuck close behind her as always, content as her shadow as always, listening intently as the Commodore spoke to Shira, listening as she was provided with her orders. He chuckled at the Commodore's careful wording, and as he looked toward her he was unsurprised to see Jesmand's gaze directed back toward him. "My work is a kind of investigation, Commodore." He commented in a more amused manner than anything.

Eyes shifting up to the man hanging from the platform, Kordath could not help but let out a chuckle, finally taking a step back and away from the Commodore to find his dearest Jaina. Finding her, even on a ship of this size, was not a particularly difficult endeavour, she stuck out like a sore thumb, between her actions and happy demeanour, one could tell where Jaina was miles away. Beginning to move behind her as she wandered about, he kept his grin as she moved out onto the bridge, watching her closely as she spoke up to acknowledge him.

"Oh my dear, i'm sure he saw many wonderful things." He chuckled as she hopped up onto the metal bar and began to hang down, watching as she dangled there and chuckling as she pretended to be choking. There was something he adored about Jaina's happy demeanor, she was always so cheerful, and well, insane. As she swung back up onto the bridge, he clapped happily, laughing as she ran over and hugged him, wrapping his arms back around her firmly and giving her a squeeze. "Oh no, I couldn't, i'm just an old man my dear..." He'd let go of her, approaching the bar.

Rather suddenly then, he'd hop up onto the railing, leaning forward as he'd hold his arm out, getting a firm grip on one of the lower rails as his body slipped off the rail itself, swinging down and under as he flung himself over to the other side, chuckling as he hauled himself up over the other side and flipped onto his feet in a similar fashion, dusting off his uniform. He may have been a little older, but he was spry as always.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven, main hold

Matthew however, doesn't agree to Stehrr's suggestion of teaching this person a lesson for swindling their dear captain out of a fairly-won ship part, instead he is far more interested in joining Sutton who is trying to convince Luke to let them explore some more before Gol gets back with the replacement hyperdrive parts. Stehrr simply shrugged it off and shuffled away to mind his own business. It was just as well, perhaps, that nobody had agreed to the Wookiee's suggestion, because it wasn't long before Gol came hobbling back with something clutched under her arm.

Normally, Stehrr would have accompanied the Zabrak mechanic and helped her install it, but given the urgency and their need to get underway and make it to Tatooine with minimal delays, he decided it was best that he didn't get in Gol's way today. She could work faster without a great, hairy Wookiee breathing down her neck and grunting questions at her every few seconds. What does this do, and why are you doing that? She'd probably hit him on the head with her hydrospanner like she had the last time Stehrr had irritated her while working. He didn't fancy another bump on his head, not one bit.

So, when Luke's voice crackled over the intercom and announced in a firm and commanding voice. "This is the Captain speaking, I hope no one left anything outside, because we're leavin'." he called. That was his cue to get back to the cockpit. Grunting a polite excuse to the Senator and the others gathered in the communal area of the ship, Stehrr shuffles past them to plop himself down into the pilot's seat beside Luke.
"《Stehrr is here, Luke!》" the Wookiee announced gleefully, waiting until the ship had levelled out and the surface of Dantooine disappeared below them to be replaced by the tiny white dots of the stars now surrounding them as the Raven levelled out in space. "《Few hours from here to Tatooine, Stehrr thinks.》" he wasn't sure of the exact time it would take, he hadn't been to the Outer Rim worlds very much, more used to the Mid Rim worlds close to Kashyyyk. "《Hyperspace jump, too.》"

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven, medical bay

" Dammit Nali! Watch what you're doing, will you?!" Gol shouted out in pain as he tweaked the injured ankle involuntarily during his examination. Nali winced sympathetically and mumbled a quick apology under his breath.
"Sorry, Gol. But I gotta check it out first." he can't blame her for getting snappy, as the doctor took a closer look at the injury, it reveals itself to be quite a nasty sprain. Leaving Gol perched on the gourney for a while, he turned to rummage for the right supplies in his medical kit. He has to get up to retrieve the ice from the fridge, but it's the best thing for the mechanic's busted ankle right now.

As Gol begins to crack a joke about whether or not she's likely to live, Nali rolled his eyes good naturedly at her. He knows she's trying to apologise, in her own way, for snapping at him before when he had only been doing his job, and yet that doesn't make the 'request' sound any less ridiculous to him.
"Oh, don't be so melodramatic!" the Echani man snorted with laughter while he placed ice on the damaged tendons and wrapped it up tightly to keep it in place. "It's just a sprain, Gol. You aren't gonna die."
Pulling off the used pair of gloves and depositing them down a trash chute, the doctor turned to give the Zabrak a stern look. "You DO however, have to keep the ice on it, and rest it for a while. That means NO more accidents for a few days." he braced himself for the protests that would no doubt come his way; Gol was hard working and she would not take well to instructions that she should keep out of the maintenance bay, even if it was only for a day or two.

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Roaming the Corridors; The Vindicator

Jaina raised a bit of an eyebrow, looking Kordath over. To her, old men were walking and talking wrinkles, usually accompanied with something to smoke and a cane. Kordath didn't appear to be anything of the sort. Sure, newcomers to the Vindicator would sometimes tell her that Kordath was creepy, but she never believed it. She found him to be positively charming, the type of man she'd bring home to her parents! Certain that they'd more than approve of Kordath, Jaina let out a happy sigh.

"Old men can't do that!" Jaina exclaimed, clapping and cheering as Kordath righted himself. Leaning against the railing, she peered over with her eyes wide at the trooper, his pants fallen down as he dangled over the edge. Dimly, she recalled having something to do with that, but she couldn't be entirely too certain. Waving eagerly over at the Commodore and the rest of the group, Jaina jumped up into attention, constantly fidgeting as always. Standing up on her toes, she gave Kordath a kiss on the cheek. "Let's play another game later, puddin'?" she asked, before eagerly skipping over to Jesmand.

Saluting the Commodore, Jaina quieted down slightly, but her smile as wide as ever. Despite being slightly insane, Jaina understood the need to not irritate the Commodore. Not that she tended to bother her too much, of course. Like a killer puppy, Jaina waited patiently by Jesmand, hopeful that she'd have something for her to do. Covering her mouth to stop her giggles, she still couldn't believe that no one had noticed she had destroyed her medication earlier that day.

"Jes! Commodore, do you have something for me to do?" Jaina asked, the inflection on her voice rising and falling the entire time. She tried to stop herself from swaying as she waited for directions, and she gave Marcel a wave. The pair of them had known each other, growing up. He'd ever tried to marry her older sister. "But! I can amuse myself if I have to. You know what my boyfriend always says, Jaina, it's not you, it's me. So I completely and positively understand, Je..Commodore!"

Sutton Corandel

Location: The Bridge; The Raven

"Somehow, I feel like I'm the one having to do all of the work around here, and you're getting to do all of the play," Sutton observed, elbowing Luke back playfully. The pair of them were incredibly good friends, the best of friends, and they bickered either like siblings or a married couple. The jury was still out on that one. Of course, she couldn't help but feel a bit excited as the ship took off, heading for Tatooine. Sure, some of her past was likely to catch up with her, but the sense of adventure from heading off to any destination was still there for her. It had been the way she was raised, flying from planet to planet, never truly settling down anywhere.

"I really hope that was wookie for I got you all some strawberries," Sutton joked, twirling her knife absentmindedly as Stehrr took over piloting. There didn't seem to be any trouble, and with the engine repaired, now was as good a time as any to go have the briefing with the Senator. "Should we all have the pre-mission strategy chat now, Luke?" Sutton asked, glancing over at the Captain.

She couldn't help but wonder what a session would look like with HK heading it. He'd probably just advocate for letting him go out and murder the Hutts into compliance, with a quip along the lines of they can't betray us if they're dead! Aha! Rolling her eyes at her own thought, Sutton whistled a bit of a tune, recalling Matthew's offer of watching some films. She'd go and pick one out after the strategy session was over, and the crew was briefed on their roles.

Jesmand gave Shira a curt nod as she left, she knew the woman would take care of things for her and make sure that everything was in order. The woman showed a lot of potential and while the order in and of itself was nothing much she wanted Shira to oversee it as a show of trust. It was not often that she allowed others to go over the routes which they took but she was trying to mentor her and the more she allowed her to do the more she would learn. This was a controlled environment right now, it wouldn't be later. It was always better to do a test when things were calm than hoping when something popped up that there was no room for error that there wouldn't be one.

"Thank you Kayla, I will be by to inspect them once we are on our way," she said in a cool voice before glancing around and tilting her head to the side as she watched the man over the side of the walkway. She knew she didn't need to inspect the storm troopers but it did good to pop in now and again to not only keep people on their toes but to show that the Commodore did not forget that they were more than just suits with nothing of flesh and bone within them. Though the fact that some still called her captain irked her and she would start putting a punishment in place if that was not rectified post haste. It was more than common knowledge she detested being referred to as Captain. She earned her rank, she would be called by it or someone was going for a walk outside the airlock, without their clothing on.

"No, I don't believe there would be someone with your particular set of charms," she said flatly towards Targon before turning her attention to Jaina. "Yes, in my private quarters is a little box of wrapped candies, a present from an old friend. Why don't you go and fetch one for you and one for another, just one now. Pick someone special and take it to them. Then come see me on the bridge, I might have a special assignment for you," she said giving the little one a faint smile before her expression went blank once again.

"I do indeed," Jesmand said as she glanced over towards Marcel.

Stepping over to the edge of the railing she reached down and helped the man back onto the platform since no others had bothered to do anything but look at him. Shaking her head as he pulled up his pants she dismissed him before taking a calming breath. "Next time I see someone in need of assistance on my ship and no one lends a hand... they will be off my ship. Permanently." Turning she made her way to the bridge and nodded to the crew as she entered.

Stepping over to Shira she laced her fingers in front of her. "Alright, as long as the route and destination are set, please announce that we will now be disembarking."

Corrina Sorovia

Location: Main Hold

Corrina shook her head lightly. "I never said we had to buy our parts, either. I'm sure the crew is more than capable of swindling merchants of their starship parts, as well," the senator suggested, shrugging nonchalantly as if to detach herself from the responsibility of her idea. After Luke left for the bridge, Corrina began to settle into her spot in the main hold, preparing for the hyperspace jump. She had always loved traveling the galaxy; the thought of being able to move from system to system in a relatively short amount of time given the distance always excited Corrina. The freedom of exploring the galaxy was one of the reasons she had initially run away from home as a child, though the realities of life in the galaxy and Corrina's limited skillset ultimately brought her to her current position, as a key cog in expanding the Republic's influence in a galaxy desperately in need of hope.

Corrina's suggestion to Luke left herself wondering exactly how far this crew would be willing to go to get the job done, though. She hadn't yet been with the crew during a particularly trying mission, though there was reason to believe that this next one on Tatooine would be their first difficult encounter. Corrina had taken part in numerous missions where her often militant entourage had had to stretch the boundaries of their morality, sometimes to cut corners, and sometimes out of pure survival necessity. Entering moral gray areas was never something Corrina did lightly, as she often was represented as an icon of the Rebellion and the Republic, but gray areas were aplenty in the line of work she found herself in.

Shira Jen

Location: Bridge

Wrapped up in finalizing the details of the route, Shira took a moment before looking up from the computer and to Commodore Cartchri. Shira wasn't exactly the most skilled when it came to plotting courses, so it took her a little bit longer than it would a trained individual. As she heard Jesmand's command, Shira smirked. She rarely had such access to the ship's announcement system, so she resolved to fully enjoy this opportunity while it lasted.

Shira adjusted her position to the shipwide broadcast microphone, cleared her throat, and activated the system. "All hands on board the Vindicator, if I may have your attention, please. Your friendly neighborhood freelance TIE pilot, Shira Jen, here. We'll be departing for the Anchorhead settlement momentarily; I have personally ensured that this will be a quick ride, if a little bumpy. So get your asses strapped down to something, because I, quite frankly, do not give a shit if you get hurt. Thanks for your time," Shira made sure to disable the system before slipping in, "you useless fuckasses."

She stepped away from the computer, before retreating to an all-too familiar position waiting on Jesmand's shadow. Shira's relationship with Commodore Cartchri intrigued her. She often considered herself more of the lone wolf type, dependent on no one but herself. But somehow the Commodore captured Shira's respect, and Shira fell in line faster than she could pull of an aileron roll in a TIE fighter. Part of her disliked deferring to Commodore Cartchri's command, but enough of her found reason to continue doing so to prevent Shira from doing anything about it.

Gol Zhavromi

Medbay-> Bridge

Gol smiled back to Nali, that silly snort whenever he laughs gets her all the time, it awfully reminds her the sound a baby Bantha would make. "Well from now on I'm fully entrusting you with that bit of information." Her smile went sour as Nali applied the cold compress to her ankle, this time though she seeped the air through her teeth instead to avoid a whimper, or cursing the doctor.

"Hell no." Her restrain hadnt been that effective when Nali prescribed her to stay put for a day or two. "You mean just sit in a corner and do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day? Nope. I cant just do that when I have so much work clogged on me, I still have to repair Artie and...." She paused for a second to asses her workload for this week. She hadn't realize that she already done almost all of them. Her focus had been on R3-T3 lately, or Artie as she affectionately calls her. Its been long overdue to get the broken astromech fixed after she got herself lodged in the lift. It was pretty much the droids fault for being so helpfully eager at everything, pretty much like Gol but with a much bigger emphasis on cuteness and harmlessness.

She took one long glance at Nali then finally agreed to his advice. "Fine. No heavy duty working for today. Got it dad." The doctor did recommend her to stay put and knowing Gol she cant stand taking another minute of doing nothing. After a while, mere seconds to be exact, she stood up and limped to the door. "I'm not gonna touch a hydrospanner just yet. " raising her palms she assured the concerned doctor "Just gonna wash this grease off of me then get something to drink at the hold. Want me to get you anything?".

Some of the crew gathered on the bridge as they took off. She could've wished there was time to explore the planet but of course the mission was the priority. On the bridge she got a chance to have a talk with the captain about awhile ago "Captain." she hobbled towards him. " I just wanted to properly apologize, it was my job to inspect the engine if it were faulty before installing. But I assure you something like that won't ever happen again."

Marcel Severion

The Vindicator

Jaina slipped herself from behind him as she enthusiastically called for the Commodore's attention. The times Marcel encounters this on a regular basis, it hardly shocks him anymore. His almost sister-in-law could get a bit exasperating at times, a far cry from the meek little Jaina he once knew. His parents almost married him off to her older sister, desperately wanting a force sensitive heir to succeed them as Marcel himself wasnt. Somehow he knew, in their eyes he was a disappointment, he only agreed with the union to win back their trust. Only at some point the marriage didnt go off and though he had prepared himself for this for a long time, he was relieved that the marriage dint go.

"Jaina you're looking extra ebullient today." He greeted back, "I'm guessing you have missed your medication?" From the obvious looks of it she might have.

As Shira announced that they are about to head off to Anchorhead, delightfully he might add, Marcel then excused himself to the commodore , "Commodore if you have any need of me I'd be in the interrogation room with our star crossed lovers." he said in his High Couroscanti accent " If you want you could go ahead and give me an icebreaker. It would make my job a little bit easier for once." he smiled to Jess.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Her Quarters

Looking up from what she was doing, Kayala made note of the captains announcement before looking back down at the garment in her hand. Her fingers running over the rough fabric for a moment before laying it out on her bed next to the rest of the items she had put together. It would do for where they were going. Taking a deep breath she began to put the items she would not be needing this time around away. Everything had a place and she made sure it was in that place as they left.

Shaking her head she took a step back once she was done and took a seat on the ground. Crossing her legs she rested her hands on her knees and breathed calmly as she closed her eyes. Letting her body relax some as her shoulders rolled back and found a quiet place in her mind. She liked to take the time before they started anything like this to clear her head and focus. Cleaning the slate as it were of what she was or had to have been recently before taking on the face of another. Granted right then she only needed to clear away herself and what was that exactly anymore she didn't know.

Was there really anything beneath the face left or was it all stripped away at his point in her life. Every so often she had a glimpse of what she was but it was quickly lost for the job or the task. Maybe one day, when this was all over she would be able to find what she truly was or even build what she wished it would be. Wasn't that what she wished, what so many wished. To just be what they wanted to be instead of the universe telling them what to be. Some needed a clean slate but sometimes starting fresh was far harder than working with what you already had.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: Medical Bay

Morgbra looked over to one of the nurses, passing on few orders to finish up what they needed to do as the announcement that they were leaving came over the ships comm. The nurse getting his attention once again, him signing off on a few things before he went back to his business. Finishing up a few last minute details and getting the patients squared away before they lifted off. There wasn't much to do, a few bumps and bruises, nothing that was life threatening.

Once he was wrapped up he took a seat at his desk and laced his fingers together, resting his chin on them as he thought to himself. He adored Jaina and he loved her bring on the ship but he needed to find a way to better keep her under control as it were. He could tell she had not taken her meds today, it was obvious. She was always spry but not like this when she was on the meds. She was never as playful when she was on them as when she was off. Sure it took some time for them to be filtered out of her blood stream but even missing a single dose with her condition could lead to a dramatic difference.

He had entrusted her to take them daily so she wouldn't have to be in the medical bay as often but she was not holding to that. He didn't want to have to resort to slipping her meds to her in candies or food. He needed to figure out a way to keep her on them and have her taking them without deceit or by force. Last thing he wanted to do was confine her to her quarters or worse the medical bay and pumped full of the meds. Yet if he couldn't find some sort of middle ground, he did not know what options he had left. It was time to put that big brain of his to work. Other than just for looking snazzy in scrubs.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven, cockpit --> His quarters --> Main Hold

"I really hope that was wookie for I got you all some strawberries," Sutton chuckles in amusement, and Stehrr simply shrugs in response. "《No strawberries, no. Stehrr has not eaten strawberries in very long time.》" the Wookiee mumbled, almost wistfully. One thing, other than tinkering and piloting, that was guaranteed to get Stehrr in a chatty mood was conversations regarding food. Stehrr was, most definitely, the equivalent of a walking garbage bin. He would literally eat anything, in fact he ate almost constantly, and became terribly grouchy if he hadn't had food in a while.

Now Sutton's mention of strawberries was making Stehrr hungry. He leaned across the control cluster, slapping a large and furry paw down onto the autopilot switch. The course had been plotted, so the ship could be left to steer itself through hyperspace for a while so that he could attend the routine strategy talk with the rest of the Raven's crew members. Growling a pleasant, but temporary, farewell to Luke and Sutton, the Wookiee pilot shuffled past Gol as she entered the bridge and headed into his section of the crew quarters. The others would take long enough to gather that he could detour to get something to eat first and still be on time to attend the whole meeting.

Stehrr rummaged in his personal stash of food, picking out a few items which he carried back to the main hold with him, where the rest of their companions would soon join them. Flopping down heavily into a seat, Stehrr munched away while waiting for everyone else to gather for Luke's usual debriefing of the mission they would be undertaking on Tatooine.

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven, medical bay --> main hold

Nali nodded his head, listening patiently as Gol chattered on about her day's plans. He wouldn't dare voice it out loud for fear of hurting his friend's feelings, but sometimes he did worry that Gol worked too hard. One of these days, the mechanic was going to work herself into the ground, literally; Nali just knew it.
"Uh huh, sure..." the medic replied, as patient as ever with her protests. "Artie's been powered down since her circuits got fried, Gol. She's not gonna go anywhere if you have to take it easy for a while." Nali reminded her, his pale eyes flicking up to meet her gaze as his voice took on a slightly more stern tone. The doctor's instructions were non-negotiable, no matter how much Gol would try to protest against them.

Satisfied that the compress was sufficiently secure, Nali rose to his feet again and gave the Zabrak a wave of dismissal. Almost before he had lifted his hand to make the gesture, Gol had sprung to her feet and was limping (most likely as fast as she could) for the medbay door. Nali turned sharply on his heel to scowl sternly at the mechanic, but before he could open his mouth to utter another protest, Gol's hands were raised, palms outwards, in a reassuring manner.
"I'm not gonna touch a hydrospanner just yet." she promised him, backing out into the hold. "Just gonna wash this grease off of me, then get something to drink."

The doctor nodded, satisfied that she would hold to the promise, and returns to packing away the equipment he had been using earlier.
"Nah, don't worry about it, but thanks." he shook his head in response to her question. "I'll get something myself in a sec, sure Luke wants to brief us all soon anyway." when he was satisfied that everything was in its proper place, where he could easily find it later, Nali made his way out to join Stehrr in the hold. He didn't usuallly stay for the whole briefing, since he rarely joined the others on their escapades now that he had put his soldier days behind him, but it was always beneficial for Nali to sit in on the beginning of the talk to get a feel for the current situations regarding the locals and trading posts on the planet they would be touching down on.

Matthew McConnell

Location: The Raven

As soon as the Captain made his announcement, the Raven finally takes off from Dantooine and prepares to set course to the Tatooine system. Matt has been there several times before, mostly as a pitstop for him to receive some R&R. Of course, the last time he came to that planet was years ago, and the only two towns he has been were Mos Eisley and Anchorhage. And other then some minor locations like the Jundland wastes, he didn't really explore the planet that much. Then again, it's all simply sand anyways, dotted with tusken raiders, banthas, and the occasional sarlacc. It was a pretty boring place to look at. He'd prefer to explore a mountainous region or a dense jungle, rather than a sand wasteland.

And no... not because of sand being rough and coarse and getting all over you...

Regardless, it's time for Matt to be on his daily routine on annoying any person he sets eye onto. Oh who could be the lucky winner on who'll have to deal with such a man-child for the whole trip? He looks around while chewing some gum, eying the entire Raven crew as he checks for any "volunteers". Then he suddenly comes upon Kayala just sitting casually on a chair minding her own business. Out of all the crew members in the Raven, she is the one that Matt bothers the most. Why? Because in Matt's terms, her reactions are 'priceless'. But eh... should he? Maybe he should spare her just this one time? Should he?

...

Nah.

He looks both directions quickly while take out the gum in his mouth. Then, having a very convenient rubber band in his pocket, he uses it to slingshot the piece of chewing gum onto Kayala's shoulder. He begins to chuckle, covering his mouth as he tries to act casual, only for it to be failing so far.

Kyatrah Selinema

Location: Vindictor Hallway --> Medical Bay

As Kyla inspects the halls of any last minute troubles, she hears the voice of Shira coming from the speakers. That voice literally made her cringe. Maybe it was because of how they were basically enemies of one another, often going for a fight when no one was looking just to vent out their frustrations against one another. Of course, they've never gotten to the point of where they would kill each other, mostly due to their important ranks, or if they did think about it, they would be distracted by something else before they could initiate them. Perhaps it was all luck. She didn't know for sure. Regardless, she simply ignores the announcement as she continues marching down the hall.

Remembering the limping officer who happened to have his pants down, Kyla quickly walks into the medical bay and inspects the patients around her, taking off her helmet in the process. At the corner of her eye, she spots Morgbra sitting by a desk. She almost expected him to be here. And he seemed a little worried. She can only guess what he was really thinking. And she must be right considering what she saw back at the hangar. Normally, Kyla wouldn't usually start a conversation, but she really doesn't mind one here and there. Standing only a few meters away, she finally decides to say something.

"Thinking about Jaina aren't you Morgbra?" she announces to him, as if she just tapped into his mind with the force... something she completely lacked in.

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Roaming the Corridors ---> the Commodore's Quarters ---> The Bridge; The Vindicator

Jaina winked a bit at Marcel, raising her finger to her lips quietly. And while she didn't intend it, the soft smile on her face would've sent a shiver down the spine of any who saw her. It was the smile belonging to devilspawn, to a child carrying an AK47 and unaware of the power they held. That was what made Jaina Sarbye so dangerous and so effective at her job, after all. Most bounty hunters had an instinctive need to survive. Jaina didn't have that. To her, death was nothing to be afraid of, and it meant nothing to her. She didn't comprehend it, despite all of the blood on her hands.

"Aye aye, commodore!" Jaina said, walking at a brisk pace towards Jesmand's quarters. For the first ten seconds, she managed to just walk, and then she launched herself forward, her hands touching the ground. Incredibly squirrel-y and antsy, she walked on her hands for the rest of the way, kicking her feet up towards the ceiling. Had she not been quite so short, she perhaps would've made more progress towards that goal then she did. Lowering herself down, Jaina delicately opened the door to Jesmand's quarters, glancing around in awe.

She glanced around the room, noting its many features. Files with official seals were in piles, amongst books and flight histories. There was a yoga mat, and Jaina couldn't help but grin at the vibro sword. Her old boyfriend, a charming young man named Luke, had come up with the idea of waving it around wildly to kill flies. She couldn't have thought of anything better than that to use it for.

"Oh...I shouldn't but...The Commodore won't mind," Jaina persuaded herself, picking up the vibro sword. She grabbed two pieces of candy with the other hand, intent to give one to Jes. She hadn't felt like finding Morgbra again, otherwise she would have given a piece to her personal cheerleader. She activated the virbosword, spinning and twirling down the hallways as she went, leaving burn marks on the wall. At one point, she even paused and carved her own name in, whacking anyone who attempted to question her and get in her way. Shira's announcement, for example, only caused her to giggle with glee.

She loved bumpy rides.

By that point, however, Jaina had made it back to the Bridge, vibro sword and candy in hand. "Commodore! I present you with this lovely gift!" Jaina giggled, handing the candy over to Jes.

Sutton Corandel

Location: The Bridge; The Raven

Sutton awaited Luke's response, clueless as to what Stehrr said. However, from the lack of strawberries produced, she could take a pretty good guess at what the wookie meant. She glanced over at her friend, attempting to focus on the mission at hand, rather than allow her mind to drift. She hadn't been able to stop thinking about it, her past, that day. Her mother's face swam into her mind, and her focus drifted off, seeming a bit distant to anyone who came in.

Her mother's last words to her still echoed throughout her mind. "You would ruin me, Caitlyn...Trust no one. Do not let them learn who you are. You love me, don't you want me to be happy, Caitlyn dear?"

Even now, Sutton still wasn't certain about how to answer her mother's question.

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Vindicator: Bridge

Jesmand smirked a bit at the announcement. It wasn't what she would have said but it did the job and got the point across in true Shira style. Looking at the rest of those on the bridge she cocked a brow. "You heard the woman," she quipped as a few stood there or sat there with their mouths agape. It only took those few words to get them back to work and nodded slightly towards Shira. "Very good," she said to her before taking a step and looking at the planned course. Another nod of approval. Not much time was saved but with such a short journey she was pleasantly surprised that any had been saved at all. The woman showed promise.

Turning she stepped over to Marcel and took a long a breath as she clasped her hands behind her back, giving Targon a sideways glance in the process. "Well, I am not one for such matters but I wonder if perhaps some would be a bit to zealous at this point. If they are indeed two love birds, use that. If they are not you know as well as I that you will be able to break that facade down quickly to reveal the truth. Or you could just cut to the chase and inform them if they do not tell you what they know they will be turned over to Targon, there are some recordings of some of his tactics on the main frame. I doubt few would hold out when they are made aware they could be exposed to such similar treatments. Do let them know though if they cooperate that they will be treated fairly and could save themselves much pain," she said, stressing the last bit of her message and looking back at Targon for a moment as if warning him to make sure he took her words to note.

turning as she heard Jaina returned she took a short breath this time and steeled her nerves. She had her personal sword in hand, which to her meant she had been playing with it once again; which meant her walls would need redecorating... again. "Thank you my dear," she said taking the candy and the sword as she reached out. Looking down at the sword she cocked a brow as a thought came to her mind. "Now Jaina, if you will be so good as to go up to observation and keep a keen eye out before us it would be most appreciated. If you do this task without issue I will give you a lesson with the sword later when we have some down time." She knew the woman was skilled in many things but this sword was not one of them, perhaps she would take her up on the offer.

Morgbra Bonwoo

Location: Medical Bay

Bobbing his head in thought, he had come up with a few ideas that may work but he would have to discuss them with the Commodore before hand. Not that he needed her permission to have to change anything medical on the ship or his treatment for a patient but what he had in mind involved the use of the ship, or at least a private room of it, and a few items that would need to be acquired; something he would need her permission about.

The announcement had been made and he knew they would be taking off soon for the journey, figuring he was in a good a place as any he kept thinking to himself; trying to come up with alternatives and get a running list in his head going about how he could help his little one as it were. He did want to be careful not to change who she was but help her better focus her antics so it would not be a determinant to the crew over all. It was one thing to have to fix up the crew from time to time, it was his job after all. Yet, he didn't want to have to keep patching people up.

Looking up as he heard a voice he nodded a bit. "Well indeed I am, she is unique one our little Jaina. I wish to find a method to better help her retain who she is but without the, how shall I say, collateral damage she can sometimes inflict on the rest of the crew," he stated as he motioned with his eyes to those that were getting patched up currently.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven

For a while, Stehrr was alone in the main compartment until the ship's doctor shuffled in to join him, settling himself neatly on the edge of the center console. "《Doc! Is Gol okay?》" the Wookiee whined at Nali, hoping the Echani man would at least reassure him that the Zabrak would recover even if he wouldn't know exactly what Stehrr was saying. It hadn't escaped his notice that Gol was limping quite badly when she returned with the new engine parts, and he was more than glad she had at least gone to see the medic. "《She not hurt bad, is she?》"

Suddenly more anxious at the thought that Gol could in fact be seriously hurt, Stehrr began to munch more vigorously on the hunks of bread and cheese clutched in his paw. He almost couldn't hear Nali's answer over the sound of his own chewing.
"Don't you worry, Stehrr. Gol's gonna be just fine. She just needs to rest up a little while." Stehrr nodded along as the doctor explained something about "rest". The Wookiee knew next to nothing about medicine but he at least understood what that word meant, and appreciated that Nali tried to make his explanations simple enough for Stehrr to understand without speaking in a patronising manner. "So I'm gonna need you to keep an eye on her when you're with her today, make sure she's not trying to fix anything and keeps off that foot properly."
"《Stehrr promise, will make sure Gol rests!》" the Wookiee pilot crowed, his attention diverted as he heard more footsteps down the hallway, indicating someone else might be joining them soon.

Denali Keesda

Location: The Raven

Nali nodded his head, glad he at least had the Wookiee to back him up somewhat. As much as Gol might protest, he knew she would listen but it was always better to have some back up just in case. After all, he knew putting extra strain on it while it was still healing would only make the damage worse and Gol certainly didn't want that. As Stehrr's attention drifted away towards the sounds coming from other parts of the ship, Nali decided not to pester the Wookiee too much, it was easy to get him annoyed after all and an angry eight-foot Wookiee on a small ship in the middle of a hyperspace route would not be a good idea, instead letting his own thoughts drift.

The Echani plucked the vibroblade from its sheath at his belt and turned it over in his hands, examining the weapon for any minor imperfections or blemishes out of mere habit. Of course, there were none now, because he hadn't lifted it against another person in battle in many years, not since his sister Rhine had passed. Despite that, he had gotten used to checking it and the blade still needed to be cleaned and sharpened occasionally in order to keep it in pristine condition. They never knew when or if the crew aboard the Raven would be placed in a situation where Nali may have no choice but to use it and he wanted to ensure he was always prepared for that eventuality. They were still in the middle of a war, regardless of his own personal views on the conflict.

Hearing someone sniggering, Nali looked up to see Matthew hurrying past the doorway into the main hold covering his mouth and rolled his eyes in exasperation. It would be a matter of mere seconds, he was sure, before the laughter was followed with the enraged shrieks of whichever unfortunate soul--most likely Kayala, Matthew seemed to take a particular liking to getting underneath the Face's skin--had fallen victim to his latest prank.
"Kriffing hell, Matthew, what have you done?" Nali muttered, narrowing his eyes at the mercenary suspiciously.

Kayala Stalack

Location: Her Quarters

Deep breaths in and deep breath out. Slow and steady as her mind went clear and she drowned out the sounds around her. Letting her senses find a a calm place in the midst of all the hollering and ruckus outside of her room. Everything was going wonderful in her mind and she felt at ease. That was until she felt a sudden wet splat of gum on her shoulder. Taking a deep breath her eyes opened and she reached up, pulling the gooey piece from her flesh and and looking at it. Rolling it around between her index finger and thumb for a moment before she rose and turned around.

"Matthew...." she said in a cool voice before she even laid eye on him. He was the only one on the ship that would pull such a childish and brother like taunting of her, especially when she was in the middle of meditation. Stepping over to him slowly, her heels thumping at the ground with each step she took. Holding up the gum as she went over to him and smirking a bit.

"Now, how in the world did this piece of gum manage to fly out of your mouth, over the floor of my room and onto my shoulder? Where you choking? Or am I about to choke you?" she asked as she pressed the gum against his lips before crossing her arms over her chest; her foot tapping slightly as she eyes him.

Shira Jen

Location: Bridge

Shira let out a small smirk as Commodore Cartchri gave her as much of a compliment as she'd ever really get. It wasn't often that Shira received proper appreciation for anything she did for the Empire, so the little she managed to get from Jesmand was a major pride booster for the woman. She took a moment to appreciate her own work, as well; the tasks were minor, of course, but Shira had long since learned to take pride in as many of her accomplishments as she could.

With a light, quick cough to clear her throat, she approached Jesmand. "Commodore, if I could ask a question," Shira said with a little more formality than she normally would carry. "What exactly is our mission in Anchorhead? Do we have more solid intel on Rebel presence there, or did they mean 'we don't have jack shit for you' when they told us to investigate the situation?" Despite her colorful choice of language, Shira maintained her formal tone, leaving her about as close to respecting authority as she could realistically get.

Her concerns were that this would be yet another situation in which Shira was sent running around with minimal reliable information, only to find unsubstantiated rumors and a waste of time and resources. Ever since the loss of the first Death Star, Shira had too often found the Empire pulling the trigger a little too quickly on unreliable intel.

Luke Teth

Location:The Bridge -> Main Hold

Glancing over to Stehrr as he came into the Bridge, Luke leaned back from the console and let the Wookiee get to work, he was a better pilot than Luke, and he was content to admit it. Allowing him to plot the hyperspace jump himself as space stretched out before the Raven as they began to make the jump to lightspeed. The hum of the engine was replaced with the quiet screech of space roaring past them before it returned to its calmer sound.

Turning his gaze up to Sutton as she elbowed him, he chuckled, shaking his head as he moved to stand, looking down at her. "That a fact? Well, all work 'n' no play'd make Luke a dull boy." He nudged her back, chuckling as he glanced over to Stehrr and watched as he moved off the bridge. Now that the ship was in hyperspace there wouldn't be a great deal which needed to be done in the Bridge. It was times like this where Luke spent his most time there though, it became the quietest spot on the ship, a little area where the man could get some real peace.

Nodding at her question, he gave a half-lipped smile. "S'pose we should, no doubt HK has a brand new idea of how best to kill all the Hutts." He'd chuckled, reaching down to the PA and bringing it up to his mouth as he cleared his throat. "Everyone report to the Main Hold for mission planning." Setting the PA back down, he'd look back to Sutton, motioning toward the door. "After you, princess." He'd smirk, moving out of the bridge after her, and down the hall into the main hold.

Kordath Targon

Location:The Vindicator: Bridge

Beaming down at Jaina like a proud father, Kordath leaned forward slightly to allow her kiss on his cheek, he gave her a nod of agreement and watched as she skipped away. Kordath appreciated the uses he could put Jaina to, she was a skill bounty hunter, and her madness made her easily manipulated into conducting all sorts of missions against anyone, and generally one didn't have to worry about questions being asked. But Kordath appreciated Jaina not just as a useful killing-machine, she was like a daughter he never quite had, he'd heard mention among some of the crew that himself and Jesmand were like the girl's adoptive parents, and to a degree, he found the comparison quite apt.

Turning back to the Commodore as she spoke toward him, Kordath let out a hearty chuckle, despite the flatness of her tone. When it came to work, Kordath was always in a good mood, especially when it had the possibility for some interrogation or light torture. Following after Jesmand as usual, he chuckled again as she began to speak toward Marcel, looking over to the man. "Recording 47-B is a personal favourite if you're showing them 'home movies'." He'd wink over at Marcel with a smug tone. Targon took great pride in his ability to inflict severe, and rather horrifying agony upon those who he held prisoner. After all, you had to be proud of being good at your job.

As Shira approached Jesmand, a more appropriate and pressing thought pierced through Kordath's mind, while he had of course compiled the report, the knowledge was not widely known. Looking back to Jesmand, Kordath cleared his throat. "Perhaps it would be apt to deliver a short briefing via the Intercom, Commodore, so as to ensure the crew has some idea of what we're getting into this time."
