John does not know much about her. She died when he was still a baby and his father never speaks of her.


What the Kingdom is Known For:
Technology: The Kingdom was created by scientists and so technology is a big deal. They are currently working on a space program.
Underground cities : A good majority of the population lives underground since the land is so cold.
Diplomacy: Pelanor prefers diplomacy over saber rattling. They very rarely go to war.

Kingdom History:
Some facts about Pelanor:
Founded almost 150 years by a society of scientists wanting to stay away from the world. So they went as far north as possible. They purchased the Alaskan penisula and part of the northern lands.
Since there is not very many valuable resources, they focus on using what little they have. Displays of wealth are seen as wasteful. The royal palace is nothing to fancy. It was designed to double as a meeting spot for Senate as well as housing the royal family.
Pelanor is a constitutional monarchy. Based off the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It binds both the people and the royalty.
The nation's only truly old fashioned traditions are the ones from the local Inuit culture. The Inuit had helped the first settlers survive their first winter and the settlers descendants have always helped the natives.
The Royal gardens were created by King Eric to make his wife feel more comfortable in the north. His son always seems to be walking around there.
