@Polybius Okay so I like Sci-fi but I always ask this if I don't see it. What's the status of "space magic" like biotics (from Mass Effect) or psionics or stuff like that.

I prefer a star trek approach over a star wars one for this particular roleplay if that helps. Techno-babble all you wish but no Force users please.

I might play a nation who has caused controversy with its technology, Having been using cybernetics and genetic engineering for a long long time. And generally prefer it over terraforming, adapt to the environment, rather than change the environment. I imagine, for them. many within the nation would probably consider banning someone based on genetic engineering or cybernetics to be something akin to racism.
