You can now delete convos (it just makes you leave them since a convo can have many participants).

Super experimental.

Edit: Added a "Delete All Trash" button for the poor bastards who moved each PM individually to the Trash folder since there is no mass-move feature.



(Only shows up if you have trash)


so uh, i'm guessing a mass move feature is on the list? maybe an email-style "check the box" system so you can move multiple pms?

edit; so the email check system is actually there. god, i need to read previous posts before writing a reply at 1am.

@Grimhildr Yeah, it's just a chore to build so I need a break.

Edit: The multi-selection only supports deletion right now, but what I mean is that it would be nice to also mass-move that was as well.

yeah, i get you. the new updates have been super cool, but don't forget to take breaks instead of doing computer stuff 24/7. whatever that's like, anyway.

@Mahz Just found out the hard way, if you accidentally delete a pm and someone replies to it, it won't come through to you. Anyway we can either fix this or have pms initially moved to trash and only fully deleted if we empty the trash bin? This could cause a lot of problems.

@Lady Amalthea Hmm, mass-moving to trash sounds reasonable since deletion is pretty extreme.

And since trash is really just a folder, you still get notifications. Though the difference between "Trash" and "Delete" is probably very unclear.

Do you have any other ideas for a fix to your scenario? I should've made it clear that once you delete a convo, you will not get notified about future correspondence.

What about on the sender's side? If Lady Amalthea starts a convo with me and I delete the convo, then Lady Amalthea will only see herself in the participants' list. I suppose I should broadcast more clearly that Mahz left the convo and he will not receive a notification or be able to read it? The sender could unknowingly start talking to their self without a receiver.

@Mahz All of that sounds great, it would let people know the other won't get it. (Maybe a pop up) - and the trash folder is great since we can empty it now. Gives us that "recycle bin" like option where if we accidentally trash something we can recover it.

@Lady Amalthea Okay, good idea.

I replaced mass-delete with a mass-move feature. You must move stuff you want to delete into the Trash folder and then use the "Delete All Trash" button to erase it.

Oh yeah, and I can undo all deletions. If you've accidentally deleted something, just let me know. But I'm gonna undo *all* of them.

I still need to improve the sender side if everyone in the convo has left except for you and you end up talking to yourself...

@Mahz God no, please don't!!! I just went through like 40 pages! Lol What I lost that I needed, I just pmed a few and asked them to copy and paste for me. (I do not want to go through that mass delete again, lmao)

All the changes are very nice. Deleting all my trash was both interesting and anxiety-inducing. xD

Suggestion for another change? E-mail alerts. I'd love to have those again, wonderful and all-mighty @Mahz.

@Light the Dark I'm not much of an email user, so that's a feature I'll have to research since I'm not sure what the ideal is.

I reckon you want it to email you every time someone posts in a thread/roleplay you're watching?

@Mahz I mostly use PMs, but essentially.

I'm trying to remember the email system from the old guild. I know we had emails for PMs, but I don't remember if we had them for subscribed threads. I believe we did.

Its just nice to know if someone replied to something without having to come on to the guild and check. I am... lazy. xD

@Miss Gallagher Yeah, I can totally see that. I had to double check there wasn't anything in my trash that I wanted to keep before pressing that button. ^^;

@Light the Dark Usually with subscribed threads there's 3 options: no emails, an email once a day after a reply occurs, or an email instantly when there's a reply. You wouldn't have multiple emails for multiple replies as it can quickly load up your inbox.

Not to throw another thing on the plate, but months ago @Ellri compiled a list of additional tags for the roleplay threads (See here, but also check one of the last few posts that you made with your own thoughts). How difficult would this be to implement and can something be set up so if we need another tag added/edited/removed we can ask @Hank and he can input it into the database through the mod toolkit?


Yes, that system would be very good to improve now that PMs have received a well-deserved upgrade. The tag system is fairly lacking right now. Creating new tags should definitely go through the guild staff or somesuch to have a certain amount of control over how many are created. (like avoiding getting both "starwars" and "star wars" as tags)(first example we thought of)

When you leave a PM while within the PM (ie, delete), should clicking the button have a yes/no check? It just feels a bit too easy to leave a Convo by accident.

@NuttsnBolts Oh yeah, that should prob be 'move to trash' anyways. Forgot about it. #willfix

Edit: Er, just had to delete the button altogether.
