One may say that Human history is war history. From the beginning of time, it was war which became the driving factor of the moulding of Human civilisation and the catalyst for progress. Even in the Sixth Millennium, war undisputedly remains a fact, and pacifism a mere unachievable ideal. When John Bellhouse rose in revolution more than a hundred years ago, it was believed that his little rebellion against the United Democratic Socialist Nations would last no more than a month. However, that little rebellion turned into a war between two superpowers. The Imperial Dominions and the UDSN, locked together in a bitter 115-year-long war against one another. The Imperial Dominion's territory spans from the Segmentum Solis, including the Sol System and stars 20 lightyears from Sol, to the ends of the Orion Arm; while the UDSN spans the Perseus and Sagittarius Arm.
The Dominion remains a pragmatic meritocratic state ruled by a dynasty begun by Bellhouse, and the Internationale as a near-anarchic democratic state held together by the government and saved from itself by the peoples' general disregard about the corrupt system of governance. They were too busy enjoying their lives until the threat of the Dominion came. The democratic peoples, however, were awakened when Bellhouse, in his first year as Imperator, began his rapid and grand reconquest of the stars. This roused billions to arms. Since the beginning of year 114 of this new era, the Dominion has acquired a further 8 star systems from the Internationale. After a few months of Imperial rest and two months of relative peacefulness, the Internationale has declared a liberation campaign, believing the Dominion to be incapable of riposting. Months of careful planning followed, and the attack began, but even the Dominion expected some sort of trick. They, too, were prepared.
It was said that conflict brings out the best in oneself. Indeed, it is true; the war has seen the rise and fall of many famous heroes. However, to see two stars pop up in a single era is rare, much less dozens. The esteemed Imperial Duke Charles of the Imperial Dominions, son of the Imperator, was appointed to lead the defence and subsequent counterattack of the Galactic South of the Orion Arm, and the venerable Democratic General William Cronus was elected to lead the attack from the Perseus Arm to the Imperial Segmentum Ceres, the Dominion's area of least resistance, where they outnumber the opposition 35:10. Two of the age's many great minds, clashing against one another in a great mind game with lives and fates of entire nations at stake.
The initial sweep by Cronus' forces swept through five Segmentum Ceres planets with ease, for the planets had been abandoned by the military. These became their forward operating base, but Cronus himself saw through the obvious trap. It was a scorched earth strategy on the enemy's part, and they were overextending their supply lines. However, there was one more bustling system under the command of the Dominion just nearby with Imperial forces simply named Star System-056, which had one civilised planet and a further three agri-planets. Cronus, then, sent his officers to deal with the enemy and secure for them a stable supply depot capable of feeding all 35 million soldiers of the Cronus Theatre. The opening phase of the attack involved three thousand Internationale warships; two thousand cruisers, five hundred destroyers, two hundred battleships, and three hundred frigates. This, compared to the two hundred battleships, five hundred cruisers, and four hundred frigates of the Dominion, would have certainly spelled the doom of the Imperials. Yet, this was not to be. The first assault of the Internationale ended in failure with little losses to the Dominion. Little did they know that Duke Charles' cousin, the esteemed Black Duke Ravel, was the commander of the navy in SS-056, strictly ordered to defend. Cronus would have to either encircle SS-056, or defeat the garrison. The latter was proven to be impossible; almost half of the fleet Cronus sent was wiped out and forced to retreat. They had to resort to encircle SS-056. He had already taken control of five systems, all of which were barren with the scorched earth policy the Imperial troops had seemingly begun. The sixth system, however, was far off, but he had no choice. He would either face mutiny, or his soldiers would starve to death. The sixth system, SS-059, had one world: Agri-558, and as the name suggested, Agri-558 was a rich agricultural world with only minimal Imperial military presence. Hungry for both food and action Cronus' fleet charged without considering their superiors' warnings, over-stretching their lines, and nearly unprepared. Two million soldiers all in all charged into the planet, but luckily, before that, Cronus placed the esteemed 57th Mechanised Army at its vanguard.
The hundred-thousand-man garrison at the planet was repelled and forced to escape. A massive feast began in celebration, with the citizens of Agri-558 treating the soldiers well. That was until midnight, when the citizens revealed to their guests that they were loyalists. By then, two hundred thousand Democratic soldiers were slaughtered in their beds by their hosts. They attempted to quell the rebellion, but they were too late. The supply and communication lines had been cut by the time the suppression campaign began. Cronus' gut was correct; this was a trap. A bombing campaign by the Imperial Navy and Aeronautic Branch soon followed. Two days later, the Imperial vanguard arrived, occupying unoccupied land and setting up its forward operating bases on the Eastern Hemisphere. At the Imperial Vanguard were the renowned 7000-man Legions VIII: the Palatine Guard of the Holy Temple in New Jerusalem, simply known as the Palatinus, IX: Dies Irae, and XX: Filii Nemeseos, and behind it followed Army Group A. The fate of the Dominion and the Internationale invasion force hangs in the balance. This campaign, now dubbed the Battle of Segmentum Ceres, could spell the end of the Internationale's dreams of liberating its lost colonies, or it could spell the end for the Dominion's dreams of spreading its rule to all the peoples of the galaxy.

DOMINION
The Imperial Milites; brave, proud, and incredibly disciplined. Honourable, but vastly inferior in numbers. However, their inferiority in number is made up by their technological superiority.

- 10th Tank Army (AG A): Known for punching holes in enemy lines and breaking through, exploiting the penetration points with great efficiency.
- 7th Tank Division "Phantom Lancers" (AG A): It is the most prominent for penetrating the deepest through enemy lines, notorious for over-stretching their supply lines and penetrating through 200 miles of ground in a single day.
- 1st Armoured Grenadier Division "Iron Vanguard" (AG B): A division notorious for its ferocity in battle, using tanks assisted by heavy motorised infantry to overwhelm or outmanoeuvre their opponents.
- 15th Motorised Infantry Division "Winged Hussars" (AG B): A motorised infantry division known for its bravery and unflinching obedience to Imperial High Command.
- 10th Storm Trooper Division (AG C): A storm trooper division known for its shock and awe and shock trooper tactics. In a previous campaign, it singlehandedly surrounded and made an entire Internationale army capitulate by itself.
- 12th Imperial Knights Legion "Teutonic Knights" (AG D): A Knight Legion feared for its usage of Imperial Rooks, as well as its strict discipline, with the Legion being able to deploy and retreat in a few moments without disorder breaking out amongst the ranks.
- 8th Engineer Corps (AG J): Known for their bravery in constructing much needed fortifications under fire, as well as destroying entire structures with high-yield explosives.
- 7th Cavalry Division "Black Hussars" (AG J): A renowned cavalry division known for its feigns. Outside Imperial Records, it is virtually unknown.
- Orbital Drop Corps (Basically ODST): Formerly a subgroup of the Storm Troopers, the ODC has become its own separate unit with its own special doctrine of dropping in the middle of a fight or behind enemy lines in near-indestructible dropships.
- 10th Tank Army (AG A): Known for punching holes in enemy lines and breaking through, exploiting the penetration points with great efficiency.
- VIII LEGION "Palatinus" (7000): A monastic order of Legionnaires formed and enhanced in the Grand Temple itself, sworn in to protect and conquer for the Dominion at all costs, known for its sheer precision in strategy and skill in combat.
- IX LEGION "Dies Irae" (7000): A monastic order of Legionnaires known for its use of heavy artillery and bombardments, as well as scare tactics and psychological warfare.
- XX LEGION "Filii Nemeseos" (7000): A monastic order of Legionnaires known for being ghostlike and inescapable, sometimes destroying entire enemy divisions before they even knew it. It is exceptionally well-known for the fury the Legionnaires show in combat.

Numerous, but not entirely comprised of the most disciplined individuals. They are a brave bunch, but their weapons and vehicles, so overly massed-produced, are crude, but reliable enough.

- 57th Mechanised Army (100,000 Troops): The most renowned troops in the entire Theatre, the 57th is made of the toughest and quickest soldiers, with technology made to rival even the Legions. They are also known as the 'Heroes of Varkova' for repelling the Imperial invasion of Varkova in the year 5140 before being reduced to a mere division after the planet was eventually surrounded and scorched. However, they have since recovered.
- 8th Red Guard Rifle Division: A division not well known at first, but notable for capturing the central city of a heavily-guarded Imperial Planet by itself.

Welcome to the Lords of the Stars. Here, you will be able to play either of the following roles: a military commander, or a regular soldier. You may play in either side of the faction. Here, the great minds of the age, Duke Charles and General Cronus, face off against one another, as the Internationale attempts to push through the Imperial point of least resistance with a massive Theatre of 35 million men. This point of least resistance is the point between the Perseus Arm and the Orion Arm called the Segmentum Ceres, made up mainly of seven stars, five of which are barren and under Internationale control.
Of course, before each operation is undertaken, there must always be a planning stage, followed by the action stage. As in real warfare, entire armies may be defeated without any bloodshed.
MILITARY ROLES
Roles in the Ceres Front
Despite being the weakest-guarded Segmentum in Imperial space, having only 10,000,000 soldiers in active duty, the men of the Ceres Front are one of the best-armed, fiercest, and most disciplined fronts in Imperial records. Though it is guarded only by 21,000 men from the elite Imperial Legions, they still prove to be a more-than-capable fighting force, fighting to keep the Dominion safe, and fighting to expand Imperial borders.
Staff Officers
The staff officer is the strategist or the tactician, not very adept at fighting, and usually staying behind the frontline in safe camps, or staying in their flagships, planning for the next stroke. [Note: only colonels may
Commissars
The commissar is the field officer, usually in charge of tactics instead of grand strategies. They are better fighters, but their ranks are lower than that of staff officers.
Rifleman
The rifleman is the most basic of infantrymen. Armed with ballistic assault rifles, they're the most numerous and most easily-trained. Their assault rifles allow them to fire at enemies from mid- to close-range, but on occasion, the few riflemen armed with battle rifles can fire from a distance, laying down suppressive fire from afar.
Shock Troopers
Shock troopers are important components of the Imperial army. They are subdivided into paratroopers, drop-pod shock troops, jump troopers, and strike force, and are meant as psychological and tactical weapons.
Grenadiers
The Grenadier is armed like a rifleman, but they are armed with more explosive ordnances. They are also tasked with using mortars.
Armoured Grenadier/Specialist
Armoured grenadiers/specialists are soldiers concerned with close-range, urban, and house-to-house warfare. They are armed occasionally with bullpup assault rifles, or more commonly, SMGs. Though they can be like regular infantrymen, they are mostly transported by armoured transports, with each squad supported by an IFV. They are also armed with weapons meant for taking out armoured vehicles.
Combat Engineers
Combat engineers are armed with explosive ordnances. They are not as combat-oriented as grenadiers, but their explosives have a far higher yield than any grenadier unit. The famous 8th Engineer Corps is known for destroying and deploying pontoon bridges under fire, as well as being tasked with blowing up buildings that are heavily defended.
Machine Gunners
Few and far between, there is only one machine gunner per squad, armed with either an LMG, MMG, or an HMG. Some machine gunners using HMGs, however, are usually transported via armoured weapons vehicles.
Snipers
Though likened to riflemen, snipers are few and far between. All of them are armed with marksman rifles, usually scoped, with pistols for sidearms. They are known for keeping the enemy at bay, being one of the most dangerous elements in a unit in urban warfare. In an urban environment, they are always on the move, but they are also masters of patience, capable of staying still for four whole hours waiting for targets to cross and pinpoint.
Armoured Commander
The armoured commander is the mind of a tank crew, armed mainly with an SMG and having a pistol as a sidearm. They are the kings of the battlefield, incredibly mobile; the infantry is their queen. Both must work side by side if they wish to accomplish victory. (Note: crews are made up of NPCs, unless you can convince me otherwise.)
Mobile Weapons Platform/Imperial Knight Commander
The Mobile Weapons Platform/Imperial Knight is the younger brother of the tank. Though not as mobile, MWPs are generally more flexible in terms of armament and targeting. The commander is either solo, or supported by a crew. Unfortunately, their weight and 2-4 legs make them suitable only for urban combat. However, there are MWP superweapons as tall as towers meant to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy with dozens of crewmen and armed with hundreds of guns known as Imperial Rooks commanded only by the most esteemed noble warriors. Unfortunately, these Rooks are very slow, but they make up for it with the sheer range of their weaponry and visibility of their cameras. [Only 1 Rook spot open for now]

Some of the most important components of any modern army, artillery crew are armed like riflemen, but they have long-range ordnances meant to deal heavy damage to the enemy ranks. Under the command of the artillery corps are self-propelled artillery. In the Ceres Front, there has been one superweapon deployed: a self-propelled railgun with a 2000mm calibre and also armed with a sonic blaster and multiple more armaments for taking out armoured vehicles and planes. Artillery crews are also in charge of anti-aircraft and anti-ship capabilities.

Scouts are the quickest units in the army, having armoured cars to transport troops, but occasionally making use of horses. They are lightly armed with only marksman/battle rifles and pistols, as they are only meant for skirmishing. They are also equipped with tools for better visibility, as well as drones.
Pilot
Pilots are also important components, meant to destroy enemy forces from the skies. Their gunships are dangerous to both ground forces and capital ships, and their fighters can destroy bomber formations and strafe enemy infantry.

Ironclads-Legionnaires armed with Fortress Armour; not very mobile, and incapable of sprinting for more than 10 seconds. However, they are practically indestructible, but if disabled, then their enemies can easily bypass them.
Armoured-Legionnaires tasked with using armoured vehicles. They are tasked with using superheavy main battle tanks.
Motorised-The fastest of the Legionnaires. Not as heavily armoured as the basic cohorts, but they make up for it with the sheer speed of their rovers, carriers, dropships, and light tanks.
Roles in the Cronus Theatre
Staff Officer
The staff officer is the strategist or the tactician, not very adept at fighting, and usually staying behind the frontline in safe camps, or staying in their flagships, planning for the next stroke.
Field Officer
The field officer is in charge of maintaining the troops from the lines, usually even leading from the front. They have lower ranks than staff officers, and are more concerned with tactical strokes rather than strategic ones.
Infantry
The regular infantry are not as subdivided like their Imperial counterparts. Rather, COs of squads are usually armed with SMGs while the rest are armed with rifles. The rifles are the standard assault rifle of the Democracy forces.
Paratrooper
The paratroopers are infantry soldiers dropped from the skies; lightly-armoured, lightly-armed, but very much specialist.
Grenadiers
Grenadiers, like their Imperial counterparts, are armed like the regular infantry, but with a wider selection of explosives; capable of taking out enemy armour.
Specialists
Specialists are infantry supported by armoured cars and tanks, and specialising in raiding buildings. They are the main components of a cavalry unit.
Mechanised Infantry
The mechanised infantry are the special forces of the Democracy, the most feared and disciplined armies in the entirety of the Internationale, made of the most intelligent and strongest soldiers. They are armed with the best weaponry, as well as the most advanced of armoured vehicles. They are similar to cavalry units, but they are more specialist, and have a wider range of combat capabilities, and are not limited to the ground. They are like shock troopers, descending on the enemy from the sea, from the land, from the air.
Machine Gunner
Some of the most important members of the squad, the machine gunner holds a large portion of the firepower, meant as a suppressing tool.
Gunner
Gunners are the generalised term for field gun and artillery crews. They have the important job of wreaking havoc from afar, and are some of the most important and numerous corps in the Internationale army.
Armoured Commander
The armoured commander is the mind of an armoured crew, armed mainly with an SMG and having a pistol as a sidearm. They are the kings of the battlefield, incredibly mobile; the infantry is their queen. Both must work side by side if they wish to accomplish victory. The Internationale’s tanks are numerous, but unfortunately, they are more inferior and hastily-constructed than their Imperial counterparts. (Note: crews are made up of NPCs, unless you can convince me otherwise.)

The regular infantry are not as subdivided like their Imperial counterparts. Rather, COs of squads are usually armed with SMGs while the rest are armed with rifles. The rifles are the standard assault rifle of the Democracy forces.
Paratrooper
The paratroopers are infantry soldiers dropped from the skies; lightly-armoured, lightly-armed, but very much specialist.
Grenadiers
Grenadiers, like their Imperial counterparts, are armed like the regular infantry, but with a wider selection of explosives; capable of taking out enemy armour.
Specialists
Specialists are infantry supported by armoured cars and tanks, and specialising in raiding buildings. They are the main components of a cavalry unit.
Mechanised Infantry
The mechanised infantry are the special forces of the Democracy, the most feared and disciplined armies in the entirety of the Internationale, made of the most intelligent and strongest soldiers. They are armed with the best weaponry, as well as the most advanced of armoured vehicles. They are similar to cavalry units, but they are more specialist, and have a wider range of combat capabilities, and are not limited to the ground. They are like shock troopers, descending on the enemy from the sea, from the land, from the air.
Machine Gunner
Some of the most important members of the squad, the machine gunner holds a large portion of the firepower, meant as a suppressing tool.
Gunner
Gunners are the generalised term for field gun and artillery crews. They have the important job of wreaking havoc from afar, and are some of the most important and numerous corps in the Internationale army.
Armoured Commander
The armoured commander is the mind of an armoured crew, armed mainly with an SMG and having a pistol as a sidearm. They are the kings of the battlefield, incredibly mobile; the infantry is their queen. Both must work side by side if they wish to accomplish victory. The Internationale’s tanks are numerous, but unfortunately, they are more inferior and hastily-constructed than their Imperial counterparts. (Note: crews are made up of NPCs, unless you can convince me otherwise.)
Snipers
The most feared snipers in the galaxy, Internationale snipers exhibit excellent sharpshooting skills, but not as disciplined as Imperial counterparts. They are all armed with marksman rifles, and are very light and mobile.
Scouts
Scouts are the quickest units in the army, having armoured cars to transport troops, but occasionally making use of horses. They are lightly armed with only marksman/battle rifles and pistols, as they are only meant for skirmishing. They are also equipped with tools for better visibility, as well as drones.
Pilot
Pilots are some of the more important parts of the Internationale. Despite this, they are few and far between, far fewer than the amount of fighters they actually have.
Ship Commander
Ship commanders are those in charge of spatial, and, on occasion, seaborne warfare.

Tall, and straight-backed, Victor Galahad is well known as one of the tallest officers in the Charles Warfleet. Standing in at 6'4", he strikes an imposing, almost regal appearance, that is marred(or accented) by a missing eye and a myriad of scars over his face. His steel blue eyes are sharp and piercing, and seem to constantly scan and analyze whatever it looks at, and his deep brown hair contrasts the pale skin of one that spends a large amount of his life in space. He walks with a slight limp in his left leg, and constantly wears an eyepatch over a cybernetic prosthetic.
Personality:
Direct and to the point, this man is a sharp witted soldier that avoids beating around the bush and doesn't mince words. Brutally honest and blunt, Galahad's calm and collected demeanor is often mistaken for an uncaring and aloof disposition, and his cynicism and pessimist/realist attitude does little to change the opinions of others. Underneath his quiet persona lies an innate brilliance, a highly intuitive and calculative mind. Highly logical and orderly, Galahad is efficient and analytical, but often accused of lacking outward compassion. He is a competent tactician boasting considerable knowledge of theory, and decades of field experience. Strong willed and possessing an air of determination, Galahad likes to maintain awareness over every situation he's in and is quick on the ball, able to make snap judgements in combat and react to a constantly changing situation.
Despite his cold demeanor, Galahad is well respected by the men under his command- he demands a lot from his men, but wouldn't command them to do anything that he would be unwilling to do himself. Viewed as an inspiring war hero for aspiring Jovian officers, Galahad accepts nothing less than 100% effort from himself and those under his command.
History:
Victor Galahad was born the first son of Thomas and Amanda Galahad on Ganymede, the largest of Jupiter's moons, and the Capital of the Jovian Moons in the Sol System. His father was a retired engineer for the Dominion military- injuries had left him unable to continue service, while his mother worked as a nurse at the local hospital. Despite his humble family origins, Victor nevertheless excelled in school and earned excellent grades, earning himself a scholarship to the esteemed Mars Military Institute, one of the most, if not the most decorated military academy in the Sol System.
The Mars Military Institute was an extremely competitive area, success in this academy meant you were destined for greatness in military service as a true commander of the military. Failure, or even mediocrity meant you would find yourself in vitally important, but utterly boring staff and support positions. Victor proved that he had what it took and more time and time again. He became a thinker, able to think of solutions that others may not. Pitted against computer simulations programmed to understand even the most complicated battle tactics, he was trained in reading terrain, gathering information and even in espionage. Graduating at the top of his class, Victor was well received by the Dominion Military and was given his first command at the age of 22.
His first command was on the DNS Hectate, a blockade runner tasked with delivering needed supplies and munitions to beleaguered worlds and fleets on the front lines of the conflict. Despite being a minimally armed warship with a notoriously short life expectancy, Victor Galahad managed to lead his crew through 17 successful relief missions in his first few months of duty. Shortly after his first year of duty, Galahad was reassigned to the command of a patrol frigate tasked with hunting down pirates or providing support to larger naval vessels. He rose steadily through the ranks over the course of the next decade. During this time he proposed to and married his highschool sweetheart and had a daughter soon after.
While a successful and respected captain in his own right, Galahad didn't earn any particular notoriety until 5137, during the Siege of Ganymede. This was a battle which took place between the remnants of the 16th Battlegroup, consisting of a carrier, a cruisers and a pair of frigates, attempting to break through a massive blockade andsiege by a UDSN invasion fleet. Cut off from reinforcements and facing the destruction of both the battlegroup, as well as the loss of Ganymede, Galahad and his small command arrived to the aid of the the beleaguered Dominion ships. Forced into employing a risky plan, the Dominion forces resorted to using a diversionary tactic, the remaining frigates and cruiser rushed the enemy lines, while a fast attack cruiser under the direct command of Victor, escorted by a small unit of fighters swept wide around the enemy formations to destroy enemy capital ships and key structures. With most of the armament depleted, the Dominion forces used Victor's cruiser and his fighters to launch nuclear mines into the midst the enemy formations.
During the attack, Victor launched a total of twenty two nuclear warheads at the UDSN fleet from close proximity. The success of the Victor's tactics resulted in the destruction of the the UDSN flagship as well as several other capital ships. Without the leadership to coordinate the large fleet's action, the ensuing disarray allowed the remaining Dominion ships to hold out long enough for a relief fleet to rescue them. While the fleet had been decimated and reduced to a single carrier and cruiser, the UDSN had been beaten and Victor dubbed a war hero. Victor earned himself the title 'The Lion of Ganymede' that day.
Earning a medal for heroism, Victor was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and spent several years leading successful campaigns against the UDSN, and played a key role in the reconquering of the Vega System. With his highly successful 'Fighting Fifths', a small, but elite fleet made up primarily of Jovians, Victor is a force to be reckoned with, and was requested personally by the esteemed Imperial Duke Charles to aid him in the defence of the Galactic South of the Orion Arm.
Now operating directly under Imperial Duke Charles, Victor serves as the commander of one of the Duke's venerable Carrier fleets, leading his elite Fighting Fifths into battle at the Duke's whim.
Rear Admiral Victor Galahad, also known as the 'Lion of Ganymede' is known for making a lot with a little. At his command is the venerable 5th Imperial Expeditionary Fleet, 'The Fighting Fifths'. Based in the Sol System, The 5th Fleet is an elite unit made up of mostly Jovians, and pulls many of its members from the various decorated Military Academies on Mars, Europa, and Earth. Under the command of Victor Galahad, this unit has seen many successful campaigns, from the Vega system to the Deneb and Callisto systems. With an extremely strict screening policy, only soldiers and officers of high caliber are considered for selection from transfer requests, and Victor Galahad has hand picked each and every captain that currently commands the ships within his fleet. The 5th Expeditionary Fleet is known for the tenacity of their officers, exemplary record, and combat prowess.

Developed by Boeing Aerospace Industries, the Orion-Class battlecarrier is one of the largest series of ships to ever be developed. The Orion-Class was developed when the Imperial Naval Procurement department called for a 'Bastion of defense, a defensible, and heavily armed ship with sufficient firepower to intimidate pirates and ward off another major power.' With exceptionally high development and production costs, the Orion-Class is a powerful ship with limited production numbers, often serving as flagships for fleets. Due to its high cost and production value, production of the Orion-Class battlecarrier has largely been superseded by the Callisto-class, which while smaller and less armed and armored overall, is considerably cheaper to produce. Due to its cost and the prevalence of Callisto carriers, only 127 Orion-Class ships have ever been built, with another 23 currently in production at the Mars Shipyards.
Large and spacious, the Orion-Class is considered a luxurious and 'cushy' assignment, with transfer requests often reaching into the hundreds of thousands. Its hallways are functional and wide, and it has the space to offer small, but individual bedrooms for officers on board the ship- such as its pilots. The ship itself also features three recreation rooms- a gym, an officer's bar, and an observation room. It should be noted that, due to its size and to conserve power, the Orion-class, like most Dominion vessels, has no gravity in most locations, save the recreation rooms and optional gravity fields for officer quarters.
The heart of the Orion-Class is its Phobos Fusion Reactor. With deuterium tankage for eight months, tied to an efficient mag-grav sweep system, the Phobos can sustain The Orion-class for up to fifteen months of minimal activity before fuel reserves will run low. At that point, it can refuel from any planet with a hydrogen/helium rich atmosphere using the 'drag scoop' maneuver to skim the atmosphere for fuel. Aft of the reactor section and the tankage is the ships battery of Impellor drives, rated for 2.2G of continuous acceleration, though fleet trials have pushed this to 2.5G with a low payload mass. The drive section can also deploy solar panels to provide additional power when in range of a star.
Nestled between the Impellor drive and the Reactor is the ship's Kearnsky-Fuchida Warp drive. By bridging two points in space the drive can rapidly move the Orion-class up to 50 light years, cutting the travel time to a few hours. This requires significant charging, with a jump delay of 48 hours, much slower than the fleet norm, which is currently 42 for most cruisers and battleships.
Astride the drive and engineering spaces is the Docking Collar. A pair of mounts equipped to handle up to 2 destroyer sized ships each, the Docking collar allows the Orion to bring 'Tag along' ships which lack jump drives of their own.
At the front and rear are the entrance of the ship's massive flight deck. Cavernous hangars, equipped to handle several dozen small craft at a time, the Flight deck also houses the Marine Barracks, the engineering crew quarters, and holding bays for approximately 100 strike craft. The hangar is connected by a series of tramways, and it's superstructure is built to be extremely durable to make up for the natural weakness of having a giant gap through the center of the ship.
Sitting at the midship is the bridge and CIC, a tall structure, reinforced with armor and support struts. The CIC itself is multilevel, and has metal blast shields lowered over the glass during combat. Sitting on top of the bridge is the observation deck.
In order to fulfill its requisition order, the Orion-Class, while designed to work as a support unit for fleet actions, is armed to the teeth and sports enough weaponry to smash through any smaller ship it comes across. Though its onboard weapon systems are impressive, the most important aspect of the Orion-class is its ability to project power in the form of strike craft to incredible ranges.
Mounted underneath the ship and powered by its own reactor and capacitor system, the Orion-class mounts a twin-barreled 450mm Positron Beam Cannon turret. Called the 'Red Button' by the crew, this is a powerful anti-capital ship weapon. These powerful beam cannons are even more powerful than their standard plasma-based cousins, launching an arcing bolt of destructive energy that while relatively ineffective against shields, is devastating against hull and armor. It should also be noted that these beams release an intense amount of highly lethal gamma radiation, and for these reasons The Neo-Geneva Conventions have restricted their use to space only, as the radiation is capable of disrupting the local atmosphere. Though powerful, the draw on power resources is often too prohibitively high for use on non-capital targets.
Instead, the primary armament for the Orion-class is a set of 14 twin-barreled 120mm Plasma Beam Cannons mounted on the dorsal line above and below the ship. These heavy beam cannons make short work of most smaller vessels, overload shields, and ward off close range attackers, but can also be a threat to larger capital ships. Unlike traditional Mass-driver cannons, the Orion's beam cannons are considerably more accurate, able to track better than projectile based weapons, with just as much, if not more power- though cannot fire as quickly as Mass Drivers.
Supplementing the main guns, the Orion also mounts 18 75mm Mass Driver turrets scattered around the ship for close in defense against smaller ships, though the sheer number of shells can also pose a threat to larger cruiser type ships as well. Designed to provide accurate, rapid fire with a decent punch, though heavier warships are capable of forcing their way through this fire, it is well suited to overwhelming enemy shield systems.
Four Trebuchet missile bays carry 50 anti capital missiles each, supplementing the main guns. With a secondary magazine located in the hold holding another 200, the ship has enough missiles for 5 minutes of sustained fire. These missiles are remote piloted by operators in the CiC, but can revert to on-board guiding if they are jammed. Configurable for a variety of targets, these missiles are also the primary means of attacking a surface target the Orion-class has. The Orion also features 12 smaller Stiletto missile launchers- these missile launchers are 12-racked launcher systems that can deploy a variety of smaller missiles, such as the popular Harpoon or Spitfire missiles, for anti-fighter/bomber purposes.
Finally, the Orion-class mounts a staggering 160 heavy rail cannons in 40 four gun 'ball' turrets, which retract and are covered by blast shields when not in use. Designed for AA work and interception, these cannons provide a murderous hail of tungsten slugs designed to fill local space around the ship with an expanding 'cone of death', that should shred any missile or drive off any fighter that gets too close to the ship. In addition to Tungsten slugs, the rail cannons can be outfitted to fire proximity detonating flak shells for short-ranged saturation fire.
Along with the aforementioned rail cannons, the ship mounts almost a meter of Durralex Nano-plasteel armour plate, reinforced with Cobblestone Reaction ceramic ablative plate. Able to withstand direct hits from nuclear weapons, the Cobblestone is a more recent addition as part of the last round of upgrades, and detrimentally affected the ship's handling. To quote one Commander: 'She handled like an iron bathtub full of water before. Now she handles like an iron bathtub full of concrete, covered in grease'. ECW defence includes several dedicated ECM defence nodes, located on top of the bridge and observation deck. Finally, a powerful reflex shield generators allows the ship to deflect conventional and plasma attacks.
In addition to its armor, the Orion-class also features 14 VelCan Point Defense Turrets. These point-defense variants feature 6 barrels instead of the standard 3, and are programmed to target incoming missiles, only firing at enemy fighters when there is a lack of missile targets. The Orion also mounts 8 Buckler Missile launchers. The buckler missiles launchers are fast targeting missile systems that can rapidly target incoming torpedos and large missiles and launch a small but fast missile that seeks out and destroys the oncoming missile.
Like all capital ships of her size and construction, the greatest threats come from bigger, meaner capital ships, concentrated attack by destroyers or close range 'skin dancing' attacks by Strike craft. An Orion separated from its support fleet is a commander's worst nightmare, and the best defense for a carrier is often its own strike-craft compliment.
A marvel of engineering, the flight deck and associated hanger bays have stowage for about 125 small craft of various types. The typical Orion-class- such as the DNS Roanoke carries of 24 F-87 Aegis II Aerospace fighters, 16 B34 Redeemer Aerospace bombers, 48 T-22 Dirk Interceptors, 12 Albatross heavy assault ships, and 5 marine assault gunships. Fighters are deployed via magnetic catapult on the flight deck and can be recovered using the same equipment. The ship also carries 4 shuttles for general shipping duties, 1 bulk lifter and 6 SRR(Search-Rescue-Repair) craft. 9 T-88 Seer class scout ships round out the ships compliment.
The ships company runs to 4600 over all ranks and specializations, including a dedicated security detachment. Attached to the Roanoke is the 144th 'Direwolves' Aerospace Squadron, and the 132nd 'Longbows' Aerospace Squadron. The combined airwing has a compliment of about 800 crew, including pilots, and the Marine Battalion aboard numbers 400.
The ships computer systems are managed by Eva, a gestalt LV 3 Virtual intelligence. Not true AI, she instead is an exceptionable personable interface program designed to ease crew interactions with the ships systems, function as a organizer and statistician, and provide ready advice and information for the command crew. Capable of independent management of many of the ships defensive systems and day-to-day management of the ships immediate Battlespace, she is designed to both take, interpret and redistribute orders.

Developed to fulfill a contract laid out by the Dominion Systems Navy for a ship with similar armament and power to that of a battleship, but with the speed and agility of a cruiser. The Apollo-class is a staple cruiser of the Dominion Systems Navy, and fills the roles of 'light carrier', 'battleship', and 'assault cruiser' in equal measures. A fine addition to any fleet, the Apollo, along with the Exeter makes the bulk of any Dominion fleet. The Apollo sports the firepower needed to give pause to enemy fleets, and possesses extra flexibility and power projection in the form of strike craft.

A 'Ship of the line' in the modern sense, the Exeter Strike Cruiser was developed to fulfill a contract laid out by the Dominion Systems Navy, for a general combat cruiser, fast enough to make decisive attacks, but well armed and armored enough to give pause to smaller battlegroups. The Exeter-class is a general purpose cruiser designed to support fleet operations as well as operate on its own and is common throughout the galaxy as flagships for smaller patrol fleets, or support ships for larger battlegroups. Most distinctive by its wedge-like shape, the Exeter is often referred to as the 'Spear of the Dominion'.
At the centre of the ship is a Miyaka class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for ten months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, and sits in the center of the ship. Equipped with a pair of powerful impellor drives allows the Exeter to reach acceleration speeds of 3.5 Gs. It is appreciably agile compared to other ships of its size, and mounts enough armor to protect itself in the heat of a fight.
Fore of the drive and engineering spaces is the bridge and CIC which extend above the ship to give it a commanding view of the ship and the battlescape.
An attack ship designed to operate in tandem with a fleet as well as on its own, the Exeter is fast and moderately armed for most operational ranges, and a particularly tenacious commander can prove to be a threat to even enemy capital ships.
The primary armament for the Exeter-class is a set of 3 twin-barreled 120mm Plasma Beam Cannons mounted on the dorsal line on the 'top' of the ship. These heavy beam cannons make short work of most smaller vessels, overload shields, and ward off close range attackers, but can also be a threat to larger capital ships. Unlike traditional Mass-driver cannons, the plasma beam cannons are considerably more accurate, able to track better than projectile based weapons, with just as much, if not more power- though cannot fire as quickly as Mass Drivers.
On each of the 'wings' of the Exeter, above and below is a twin barreled 75mm Mass Driver turret. These turrets provide accurate, rapid fire with medium-low power- though a heavy capital ship or true battleship will easily muscle through that fire. These weapons are designed to punch through and overwhelm shielding systems, so its more powerful weapons can deal damage.
Four Trebuchet missile bays carry 50 anti capital missiles each, supplementing the main guns. With a secondary magazine located in the hold holding another 200, the ship has enough missiles for 5 minutes of sustained fire. These missiles are remote piloted by operators in the CiC, but can revert to on-board guiding if they are jammed. Configurable for a variety of targets, these missiles are also the primary means of attacking a surface target.
Finally, the Exeter mounts 80 heavy rail cannons in 20 4-gun 'ball' turrets. Designed for AA work and interception, these cannons ward off oncoming threats and can be loaded with flak shells as well as tungsten slugs.

Developed to fulfill a contract laid out by the Dominion Systems Navy, the Wolf-class is a workhorse frigate designed to support fleet operations in an atmosphere and in space, primarily by providing point-defense for capital ship groups, or targeted fire for ground assaults. With only a small crew and relatively small armament, the Wolf-class Patrol Frigate needs to operate in part of a larger task group to be truly effective.
At the centre of the ship is a WhiteStar class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for three months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, with only its fuel line for the reactor and the rear service hatchways providing any chinks in the armour belt. Equipped with a pair of oversized impellor drives for its mass, the Wolf can reach acceleration speeds of 5.8 Gs. In atmosphere, it can achieve Mach .5 as a cruising speed, depending on local gravity and atmospheric density and conditions. Its high speeds and small size make it excellent for closing the distance on enemy ships and engaging at close range. It can also react quickly to changes in the battlescape and move accordingly.
Fore of the drive and engineering spaces is the docking point. Mounted at the bottom of the ship and linking into the tankage system, this docking point is designed to interface with docking collars found on capital ships like the Orion-class battlecarrier and the smaller Castillo-class carriers. Opposite of the docking point is the bridge and CIC.

These Mass Driver Turrets can also sport a second 'quick change' barrel underneath the primary barrel. The secondary barrel is loaded with flak shells, and is used for point defense, primarily shooting down missiles, but also targeting slower moving bombers.
For Anti-ship warfare, the Wolf-class sports a heavy torpedo bay in the front of the ship. Capable of launching a variety of different types of warheads, from 4 torpedo tubes, the torpedoes are slow and easy to outmaneuver, but are much more durable and resistant to point defense weapons than missiles. The Wolf-class typically carries a single clean-fusion nuclear torpedo, as well as a quartet of plasmatic-explosive torpedos, and a pair of 'Armor-Buster' torpedoes. Along with the torpedo bay, the Wolf Class has a single twin-barreled 120mm Plasma Beam Cannon mounted underneath the bow of the ship. The largest gun on the ship, the 120mm PBC is an appreciably powerful and effective weapon for general purpose work.

Designed to operate with a larger vessel, the Wolf is a cramped, difficult posting reminiscent of the submarines of Earth in the 21st century. The toughness of the vessel is small comfort, as its relative size makes it vulnerable to larger ships and heavily armed strike craft alike. It works well as a system defense ship for inner worlds, and makes an excellent escort for any large capital vessel. Able to operate as a capable super heavy bomber in atmosphere, it is capable of supporting Marine landings and operations on a planetary surface. Its computer are very advanced, largely automated integrated systems that only need a few human operators. Defensive systems are largely automated, freeing up crew for maintenance and fire control.

Like most destroyers, the Boeing Aerospace Harpui-class Destroyer Escort is built to be both fast and deadly- closing in on enemy capital ships and destroying them from close proximity. Built fast and tough, with numerous and potent weapons, the Harpui Destroyer is a dedicated Capital Ship killer, that fares just as well in general ship to ship combat. A favorite of fleet commanders who prefer to move fast and hit hard, than slowly slug around with bigger battleships and cruisers.

A dedicated ship killer, the Harpui is heavily armed, and packs weaponry to make a battlecruiser pause. The Harpui is best known for its flurry of plasma beams that can quickly overload shields and tear about the ships behind them.
As its primary weapon the Harpui sports a 450mm Positron Beam Cannon mounted in fixed position at the nose of the ship. Designed for Anti-ship warfare, these powerful beam cannons are even more powerful than their standard plasma-based cousins, launching an arcing bolt of destructive energy that while relatively ineffective against shields, is devastating against hull and armor. It should also be noted that these beams release an intense amount of highly lethal gamma radiation, and for these reasons The Neo-Geneva Conventions have restricted their use to space only, as the radiation is capable of disrupting the local atmosphere.
Two support its main gun, the Harpui sports 10 twin-barreled 105mm Plasma Beam Cannons, 5 for each broadside. These cannons are less powerful than their 120mm variants, scaled down to compensate for the Harpui's smaller generator, but are still powerful enough to cause damage to most capital ships- the sheer number of them also overwhelm defenses, carving large gouges in the hull as they sweep across enemy armor. While not designed for AA and interception work, these smaller beam turrets are also fast enough that they can track and shoot down oncoming ordinance, and the beams can fire across each other to create 'fly nets' to trap and destroy offending fighters.
Mounted along the spine of the Harpui are a pair of single-barreled 'shield buster' 75mm Mass Driver Cannons. These two Mass Driver Cannons are fire specialized rounds designed to punch through barriers and shields, to make way for the positron cannon.

The Prosperity Class of ships is a military retrofit of a former civilian ship. Designed for logistical, support, and humanitarian roles, the Prosperity-Class can barely be called a military vessel. Lightly armed, somewhat sluggish, and with all the grace of a box being forced to roll down a hill, the Prosperity class is nevertheless a beacon of hope, and an arguably angelic sight to beleaguered Dominion forces all over the galaxy.
At the centre of the ship is a Massive Aeolus class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for eight months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, with its reactor hidden underneath metric tons of other systems. Its impellor drive allows the Prosperity class to reach top speeds of about 3G.
Beside the drive and engineering spaces is the docking point. Linking into the tankage system, this docking point is capable of hooking up to ships of all sizes, to transfer crew, materials and supplies. Fore of that is the primary bridge and observational deck. There's a secondary observation deck on the underside of the ship.
To either side of the ship are a set of 11 Drone pods. These pods open up to allow hosts of repair drones to make minute repairs to exteriors of ships. These drones are programmed with all Non-Top Secret Dominion schematics, and can operate on Ships as well as aerospace craft.
Its most notable feature is the large sunken disk near the front that glows a bright blue. This disk houses the ship's Penumbra shield. Unlike most ship based reflex shields, the Punumbra shields projects a bubble that protects the interior of the shield from high velocity objects and energy weapons. Designed to protect escort ships and civilian ships, the Penumbra shield is not foolproof. It has the standard strength of a cruiser class reflex shield, but stretched to the entirety of the bubble. Ships and fighters can also pass through the shield unharmed, allowing them to attack those on the inside.
Designed to support fleets assets from afar or after battle, the Prosperity class is minimally armed and not designed to get into front line combat, though its shields and armor allow it to sustain a moderate amount of damage, and its repair crews and drones provide it with extended lifetime against damage over time.

Finally, the Prosperity mounts 120 heavy rail cannons in 30 four gun 'ball' turrets. Designed for AA work and interception, these designs provide good interception capabilities and are capable of loading tungsten slugs or flak rounds.
Along with the aforementioned rail cannons, the ship mounts .5 meters of Durralex Ferro-fibrious armour plate, reinforced with Cobblestone Reaction ceramic ablative plate. The result is a slow, but relatively durable ship capable of warding off small skirmishers until support can arrive.
Designed as a platform to support fleet assets, its hangar are a large, section that travel through the entirety of its width. With equipment bays and recharge points for strike craft, and a flight of manned resupply ships, and drone coordinator ships ready at all times, the Prosperity is capable of turning around a fighter or drop shuttle in minutes thanks to its automated repair units.

Also, given its status as a former civilian ship, its amenities are considerably more lush than than most military ships. Powered by the ship's massive reactor, given enough resources, the Prosperity can produce almost any piece of military equipment smaller than a spacefaring vessel via its advanced 3D printers and engineering bays.

Appearance:
Tall, and straight-backed, Victor Galahad is well known as one of the tallest officers in the Charles Warfleet. Standing in at 6'4", he strikes an imposing, almost regal appearance, that is marred(or accented) by a missing eye and a myriad of scars over his face. His steel blue eyes are sharp and piercing, and seem to constantly scan and analyze whatever it looks at, and his deep brown hair contrasts the pale skin of one that spends a large amount of his life in space. He walks with a slight limp in his left leg, and constantly wears an eyepatch over a cybernetic prosthetic.
Personality:
Direct and to the point, this man is a sharp witted soldier that avoids beating around the bush and doesn't mince words. Brutally honest and blunt, Galahad's calm and collected demeanor is often mistaken for an uncaring and aloof disposition, and his cynicism and pessimist/realist attitude does little to change the opinions of others. Underneath his quiet persona lies an innate brilliance, a highly intuitive and calculative mind. Highly logical and orderly, Galahad is efficient and analytical, but often accused of lacking outward compassion. He is a competent tactician boasting considerable knowledge of theory, and decades of field experience. Strong willed and possessing an air of determination, Galahad likes to maintain awareness over every situation he's in and is quick on the ball, able to make snap judgements in combat and react to a constantly changing situation.
Despite his cold demeanor, Galahad is well respected by the men under his command- he demands a lot from his men, but wouldn't command them to do anything that he would be unwilling to do himself. Viewed as an inspiring war hero for aspiring Jovian officers, Galahad accepts nothing less than 100% effort from himself and those under his command.
History:
Victor Galahad was born the first son of Thomas and Amanda Galahad on Ganymede, the largest of Jupiter's moons, and the Capital of the Jovian Moons in the Sol System. His father was a retired engineer for the Dominion military- injuries had left him unable to continue service, while his mother worked as a nurse at the local hospital. Despite his humble family origins, Victor nevertheless excelled in school and earned excellent grades, earning himself a scholarship to the esteemed Mars Military Institute, one of the most, if not the most decorated military academy in the Sol System.
The Mars Military Institute was an extremely competitive area, success in this academy meant you were destined for greatness in military service as a true commander of the military. Failure, or even mediocrity meant you would find yourself in vitally important, but utterly boring staff and support positions. Victor proved that he had what it took and more time and time again. He became a thinker, able to think of solutions that others may not. Pitted against computer simulations programmed to understand even the most complicated battle tactics, he was trained in reading terrain, gathering information and even in espionage. Graduating at the top of his class, Victor was well received by the Dominion Military and was given his first command at the age of 22.
His first command was on the DNS Hectate, a blockade runner tasked with delivering needed supplies and munitions to beleaguered worlds and fleets on the front lines of the conflict. Despite being a minimally armed warship with a notoriously short life expectancy, Victor Galahad managed to lead his crew through 17 successful relief missions in his first few months of duty. Shortly after his first year of duty, Galahad was reassigned to the command of a patrol frigate tasked with hunting down pirates or providing support to larger naval vessels. He rose steadily through the ranks over the course of the next decade. During this time he proposed to and married his highschool sweetheart and had a daughter soon after.
While a successful and respected captain in his own right, Galahad didn't earn any particular notoriety until 5137, during the Siege of Ganymede. This was a battle which took place between the remnants of the 16th Battlegroup, consisting of a carrier, a cruisers and a pair of frigates, attempting to break through a massive blockade andsiege by a UDSN invasion fleet. Cut off from reinforcements and facing the destruction of both the battlegroup, as well as the loss of Ganymede, Galahad and his small command arrived to the aid of the the beleaguered Dominion ships. Forced into employing a risky plan, the Dominion forces resorted to using a diversionary tactic, the remaining frigates and cruiser rushed the enemy lines, while a fast attack cruiser under the direct command of Victor, escorted by a small unit of fighters swept wide around the enemy formations to destroy enemy capital ships and key structures. With most of the armament depleted, the Dominion forces used Victor's cruiser and his fighters to launch nuclear mines into the midst the enemy formations.
During the attack, Victor launched a total of twenty two nuclear warheads at the UDSN fleet from close proximity. The success of the Victor's tactics resulted in the destruction of the the UDSN flagship as well as several other capital ships. Without the leadership to coordinate the large fleet's action, the ensuing disarray allowed the remaining Dominion ships to hold out long enough for a relief fleet to rescue them. While the fleet had been decimated and reduced to a single carrier and cruiser, the UDSN had been beaten and Victor dubbed a war hero. Victor earned himself the title 'The Lion of Ganymede' that day.
Earning a medal for heroism, Victor was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and spent several years leading successful campaigns against the UDSN, and played a key role in the reconquering of the Vega System. With his highly successful 'Fighting Fifths', a small, but elite fleet made up primarily of Jovians, Victor is a force to be reckoned with, and was requested personally by the esteemed Imperial Duke Charles to aid him in the defence of the Galactic South of the Orion Arm.
Now operating directly under Imperial Duke Charles, Victor serves as the commander of one of the Duke's venerable Carrier fleets, leading his elite Fighting Fifths into battle at the Duke's whim.
Rear Admiral Victor Galahad, also known as the 'Lion of Ganymede' is known for making a lot with a little. At his command is the venerable 5th Imperial Expeditionary Fleet, 'The Fighting Fifths'. Based in the Sol System, The 5th Fleet is an elite unit made up of mostly Jovians, and pulls many of its members from the various decorated Military Academies on Mars, Europa, and Earth. Under the command of Victor Galahad, this unit has seen many successful campaigns, from the Vega system to the Deneb and Callisto systems. With an extremely strict screening policy, only soldiers and officers of high caliber are considered for selection from transfer requests, and Victor Galahad has hand picked each and every captain that currently commands the ships within his fleet. With exceptionally high development and production costs, the Orion-Class is a powerful ship with limited production numbers, often serving as flagships for fleets. Due to its high cost and production value, production of the Orion-Class battlecarrier has largely been superseded by the Callisto-class, which while smaller and less armed and armored overall, is considerably cheaper to produce. Due to its cost and the prevalence of Callisto carriers, only 127 Orion-Class ships have ever been built, with another 23 currently in production at the Mars Shipyards.
Layout:
Large and spacious, the Orion-Class is considered a luxurious and 'cushy' assignment, with transfer requests often reaching into the hundreds of thousands. Its hallways are functional and wide, and it has the space to offer small, but individual bedrooms for officers on board the ship- such as its pilots. The ship itself also features three recreation rooms- a gym, an officer's bar, and an observation room. It should be noted that, due to its size and to conserve power, the Orion-class, like most Dominion vessels, has no gravity in most locations, save the recreation rooms and optional gravity fields for officer quarters.
The heart of the Orion-Class is its Phobos Fusion Reactor. With deuterium tankage for eight months, tied to an efficient mag-grav sweep system, the Phobos can sustain The Orion-class for up to fifteen months of minimal activity before fuel reserves will run low. At that point, it can refuel from any planet with a hydrogen/helium rich atmosphere using the 'drag scoop' maneuver to skim the atmosphere for fuel. Aft of the reactor section and the tankage is the ships battery of Impellor drives, rated for 2.2G of continuous acceleration, though fleet trials have pushed this to 2.5G with a low payload mass. The drive section can also deploy solar panels to provide additional power when in range of a star.
Nestled between the Impellor drive and the Reactor is the ship's Kearnsky-Fuchida Warp drive. By bridging two points in space the drive can rapidly move the Orion-class up to 50 light years, cutting the travel time to a few hours. This requires significant charging, with a jump delay of 48 hours, much slower than the fleet norm, which is currently 42 for most cruisers and battleships.
Astride the drive and engineering spaces is the Docking Collar. A pair of mounts equipped to handle up to 2 destroyer sized ships each, the Docking collar allows the Orion to bring 'Tag along' ships which lack jump drives of their own.
At the front and rear are the entrance of the ship's massive flight deck. Cavernous hangars, equipped to handle several dozen small craft at a time, the Flight deck also houses the Marine Barracks, the engineering crew quarters, and holding bays for approximately 100 strike craft. The hangar is connected by a series of tramways, and it's superstructure is built to be extremely durable to make up for the natural weakness of having a giant gap through the center of the ship.
Sitting at the midship is the bridge and CIC, a tall structure, reinforced with armor and support struts. The CIC itself is multilevel, and has metal blast shields lowered over the glass during combat. Sitting on top of the bridge is the observation deck.
Weapons:
In order to fulfill its requisition order, the Orion-Class, while designed to work as a support unit for fleet actions, is armed to the teeth and sports enough weaponry to smash through any smaller ship it comes across. Though its onboard weapon systems are impressive, the most important aspect of the Orion-class is its ability to project power in the form of strike craft to incredible ranges.
Mounted underneath the ship and powered by its own reactor and capacitor system, the Orion-class mounts a twin-barreled 450mm Positron Beam Cannon turret. Called the 'Red Button' by the crew, this is a powerful anti-capital ship weapon. These powerful beam cannons are even more powerful than their standard plasma-based cousins, launching an arcing bolt of destructive energy that while relatively ineffective against shields, is devastating against hull and armor. It should also be noted that these beams release an intense amount of highly lethal gamma radiation, and for these reasons The Neo-Geneva Conventions have restricted their use to space only, as the radiation is capable of disrupting the local atmosphere. Though powerful, the draw on power resources is often too prohibitively high for use on non-capital targets.
Instead, the primary armament for the Orion-class is a set of 14 twin-barreled 120mm Plasma Beam Cannons mounted on the dorsal line above and below the ship. These heavy beam cannons make short work of most smaller vessels, overload shields, and ward off close range attackers, but can also be a threat to larger capital ships. Unlike traditional Mass-driver cannons, the Orion's beam cannons are considerably more accurate, able to track better than projectile based weapons, with just as much, if not more power- though cannot fire as quickly as Mass Drivers.
Supplementing the main guns, the Orion also mounts 18 75mm Mass Driver turrets scattered around the ship for close in defense against smaller ships, though the sheer number of shells can also pose a threat to larger cruiser type ships as well. Designed to provide accurate, rapid fire with a decent punch, though heavier warships are capable of forcing their way through this fire, it is well suited to overwhelming enemy shield systems.
Four Trebuchet missile bays carry 50 anti capital missiles each, supplementing the main guns. With a secondary magazine located in the hold holding another 200, the ship has enough missiles for 5 minutes of sustained fire. These missiles are remote piloted by operators in the CiC, but can revert to on-board guiding if they are jammed. Configurable for a variety of targets, these missiles are also the primary means of attacking a surface target the Orion-class has. The Orion also features 12 smaller Stiletto missile launchers- these missile launchers are 12-racked launcher systems that can deploy a variety of smaller missiles, such as the popular Harpoon or Spitfire missiles, for anti-fighter/bomber purposes.
Finally, the Orion-class mounts a staggering 160 heavy rail cannons in 40 four gun 'ball' turrets, which retract and are covered by blast shields when not in use. Designed for AA work and interception, these cannons provide a murderous hail of tungsten slugs designed to fill local space around the ship with an expanding 'cone of death', that should shred any missile or drive off any fighter that gets too close to the ship. In addition to Tungsten slugs, the rail cannons can be outfitted to fire proximity detonating flak shells for short-ranged saturation fire.
Defenses:
Along with the aforementioned rail cannons, the ship mounts almost a meter of Durralex Nano-plasteel armour plate, reinforced with Cobblestone Reaction ceramic ablative plate. Able to withstand direct hits from nuclear weapons, the Cobblestone is a more recent addition as part of the last round of upgrades, and detrimentally affected the ship's handling. To quote one Commander: 'She handled like an iron bathtub full of water before. Now she handles like an iron bathtub full of concrete, covered in grease'. ECW defence includes several dedicated ECM defence nodes, located on top of the bridge and observation deck. Finally, a powerful reflex shield generators allows the ship to deflect conventional and plasma attacks.
In addition to its armor, the Orion-class also features 14 VelCan Point Defense Turrets. These point-defense variants feature 6 barrels instead of the standard 3, and are programmed to target incoming missiles, only firing at enemy fighters when there is a lack of missile targets. The Orion also mounts 8 Buckler Missile launchers. The buckler missiles launchers are fast targeting missile systems that can rapidly target incoming torpedos and large missiles and launch a small but fast missile that seeks out and destroys the oncoming missile.
Like all capital ships of her size and construction, the greatest threats come from bigger, meaner capital ships, concentrated attack by destroyers or close range 'skin dancing' attacks by Strike craft. An Orion separated from its support fleet is a commander's worst nightmare, and the best defense for a carrier is often its own strike-craft compliment.
Flight Deck:

The Apollo sports the firepower needed to give pause to enemy fleets, and possesses extra flexibility and power projection in the form of strike craft.

The Exeter-class is a general purpose cruiser designed to support fleet operations as well as operate on its own and is common throughout the galaxy as flagships for smaller patrol fleets, or support ships for larger battlegroups. Most distinctive by its wedge-like shape, the Exeter is often referred to as the 'Spear of the Dominion'.
Layout:
At the centre of the ship is a Miyaka class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for ten months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, and sits in the center of the ship. Equipped with a pair of powerful impellor drives allows the Exeter to reach acceleration speeds of 3.5 Gs. It is appreciably agile compared to other ships of its size, and mounts enough armor to protect itself in the heat of a fight.
Fore of the drive and engineering spaces is the bridge and CIC which extend above the ship to give it a commanding view of the ship and the battlescape.

Developed to fulfill a contract laid out by the Dominion Systems Navy, the Wolf-class is a workhorse frigate designed to support fleet operations in an atmosphere and in space, primarily by providing point-defense for capital ship groups, or targeted fire for ground assaults. With only a small crew and relatively small armament, the Wolf-class Patrol Frigate needs to operate in part of a larger task group to be truly effective.
Layout:
At the centre of the ship is a WhiteStar class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for three months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, with only its fuel line for the reactor and the rear service hatchways providing any chinks in the armour belt. Equipped with a pair of oversized impellor drives for its mass, the Wolf can reach acceleration speeds of 5.8 Gs. In atmosphere, it can achieve Mach .5 as a cruising speed, depending on local gravity and atmospheric density and conditions. Its high speeds and small size make it excellent for closing the distance on enemy ships and engaging at close range. It can also react quickly to changes in the battlescape and move accordingly.
Fore of the drive and engineering spaces is the docking point. Mounted at the bottom of the ship and linking into the tankage system, this docking point is designed to interface with docking collars found on capital ships like the Orion-class battlecarrier and the smaller Castillo-class carriers. Opposite of the docking point is the bridge and CIC.

An assault and patrol ship designed to support fleet actions, the Wolf is fast and well armed for close range operations and point defense, but is still too small to think of engaging enemy capital ships without support.

These missiles are remote piloted by operators in the CiC, but can revert to on-board guiding if they are jammed. For close in ship attack, 4 75mm Mass Driver turrets sit on the top of the hull to provide accurate, rapid fire with medium-low power- though a heavy capital ship or true battleship will easily muscle through that fire. These weapons are designed to punch through and overwhelm shielding systems via sustained fire, so more powerful weapons can deal damage. These Mass Driver Turrets can also sport a second 'quick change' barrel underneath the primary barrel. The secondary barrel is loaded with flak shells, and is used for point defense, primarily shooting down missiles, but also targeting slower moving bombers.
For Anti-ship warfare, the Wolf-class sports a heavy torpedo bay in the front of the ship. Capable of launching a variety of different types of warheads, from 4 torpedo tubes, the torpedoes are slow and easy to outmaneuver, but are much more durable and resistant to point defense weapons than missiles. The Wolf-class typically carries a single clean-fusion nuclear torpedo, as well as a quartet of plasmatic-explosive torpedos, and a pair of 'Armor-Buster' torpedoes. Along with the torpedo bay, the Wolf Class has a single twin-barreled 120mm Plasma Beam Cannon mounted underneath the bow of the ship. The largest gun on the ship, the 120mm PBC is an appreciably powerful and effective weapon for general purpose work.
Finally, the Wolf mounts 32 heavy rail cannons in 8 4-gun 'ball' turrets. Designed for AA work and interception, these cannons ward off oncoming threats and can be loaded with flak shells as well as tungsten slugs.

Designed to operate with a larger vessel, the Wolf is a cramped, difficult posting reminiscent of the submarines of Earth in the 21st century. The toughness of the vessel is small comfort, as its relative size makes it vulnerable to larger ships and heavily armed strike craft alike. It works well as a system defense ship for inner worlds, and makes an excellent escort for any large capital vessel. Able to operate as a capable super heavy bomber in atmosphere, it is capable of supporting Marine landings and operations on a planetary surface. Its computer are very advanced, largely automated integrated systems that only need a few human operators. Defensive systems are largely automated, freeing up crew for maintenance and fire control.

The Harpui mounts about 1.2 meters of Durralex plasteel armour plate, reinforced with Cobblestone Reaction ceramic ablative plate. The ship can also project a powerful reflex shield, which while less powerful than a capital ship field, provides solid defense against most light weapons fire for short periods of time. Lacking dedicated interception weapons, the Harpui, while capable of defending itself against smaller threats, generally relies on other ships' Interception weapons to defend itself from a large amount of missiles. However, its strong shields and armor make it surprisingly durable for a ship of its size.

The Prosperity Class of ships is a military retrofit of a former civilian ship. Designed for logistical, support, and humanitarian roles, the Prosperity-Class can barely be called a military vessel. Lightly armed, somewhat sluggish, and with all the grace of a box being forced to roll down a hill, the Prosperity class is nevertheless a beacon of hope, and an arguably angelic sight to beleaguered Dominion forces all over the galaxy.
Layout:
At the centre of the ship is a Massive Aeolus class fusion reactor, with deuterium reserves for eight months of operation. This part of the ship is heavily armoured, with its reactor hidden underneath metric tons of other systems. Its impellor drive allows the Prosperity class to reach top speeds of about 3G.
Beside the drive and engineering spaces is the docking point. Linking into the tankage system, this docking point is capable of hooking up to ships of all sizes, to transfer crew, materials and supplies. Fore of that is the primary bridge and observational deck. There's a secondary observation deck on the underside of the ship.
To either side of the ship are a set of 11 Drone pods. These pods open up to allow hosts of repair drones to make minute repairs to exteriors of ships. These drones are programmed with all Non-Top Secret Dominion schematics, and can operate on Ships as well as aerospace craft.
Its most notable feature is the large sunken disk near the front that glows a bright blue. This disk houses the ship's Penumbra shield. Unlike most ship based reflex shields, the Punumbra shields projects a bubble that protects the interior of the shield from high velocity objects and energy weapons. Designed to protect escort ships and civilian ships, the Penumbra shield is not foolproof. It has the standard strength of a cruiser class reflex shield, but stretched to the entirety of the bubble. Ships and fighters can also pass through the shield unharmed, allowing them to attack those on the inside.
Weapons:
Designed to support fleets assets from afar or after battle, the Prosperity class is minimally armed and not designed to get into front line combat, though its shields and armor allow it to sustain a moderate amount of damage, and its repair crews and drones provide it with extended lifetime against damage over time.
Two Armstad missile bays along the top of the ship's spine carry 50 anti capital missiles each. These missiles are remote piloted by operators in the CiC, but can revert to on-board guiding if they are jammed. These missiles can also be 'passed' to MAS units, who can control them to support their own attacks.
For close in ship attack, 10 single turrets mounting 105mm Mass Driver cannons suffice to ward of close range attackers, though a heavy capital ship or true battleship will easily muscle through that fire. These medium power cannons give the Prosperity enough teeth to make a wary pirate or long attack ship think twice before striking at it, but are not enough to be of considerable use to fleet actions.
Finally, the Prosperity mounts 120 heavy rail cannons in 30 four gun 'ball' turrets. Designed for AA work and interception, these designs provide good interception capabilities and are capable of loading tungsten slugs or flak rounds.
Defences:
Along with the aforementioned rail cannons, the ship mounts .5 meters of Durralex Ferro-fibrious armour plate, reinforced with Cobblestone Reaction ceramic ablative plate. The result is a slow, but relatively durable ship capable of warding off small skirmishers until support can arrive.
Flight Deck:
Designed as a platform to support fleet assets, its hangar are a large, section that travel through the entirety of its width. With equipment bays and recharge points for strike craft, and a flight of manned resupply ships, and drone coordinator ships ready at all times, the Prosperity is capable of turning around a fighter or drop shuttle in minutes thanks to its automated repair units.

Other Capabilities:
Designed to support other vessels, the Prosperity has never been a frontline vessel. Also, given its status as a former civilian ship, its amenities are considerably more lush than than most military ships. With its many automated systems, the majority of the ship's spare space is dedicated to its extensive manufacturing bays and material storage. Powered by the ship's massive reactor, given enough resources, the Prosperity can produce almost any piece of military equipment smaller than a spacefaring vessel via its advanced 3D printers and engineering bays.

Praetor Gaius Bellator is a lean, young man, standing at 5'7". He may not seem much compared to his taller contemporaries, but he shares the same features of the Bellator family, with pale skin, an Asiatic eye shape, a strong jawline, and a broad nose. He doesn't look very imposing at all to the commanders of the other army groups, but to those lesser than him, from him radiates an air of imperial authority. His posture is always rigid, with him standing tall, chin up. Some might see him as condescending at first glance. His deep brown eyes make him look like an ever-scheming statesman, nearly cold and unfeeling. Because of this, he also emits an air of mystery.
Personality:
The Praetor is a quiet and reserved man, but that doesn't mean he lets his authority get pushed around. He is iron-fisted, iron-willed. Despite his silent nature, however, he communicates with his officers in important matters constantly, but refuses to speak to anyone regarding personal matters, and tends to keep emotions to himself, sometimes to the point that some even question if he was a Human or a mere machine with a single purpose. He sees the individual lives of his men as important, but their collective lives as mere statistics; he is unafraid to sacrifice for the greater good, but only for the greater good, for he believes that the ends would eventually justify the means. The only two emotions he ever showed were amusement and lividity, nothing more. He shows a deep disdain for disorder and illogical reasoning. Despite this, he is a masterful orator, painting with words. He has a tendency to contradict himself, however; he is lazy for the most part, but when the battle comes, he organises and checks everything himself and makes sure that everybody does their duty. The Praetor is also very duty-oriented. To him, that is the meaning of life: duty to something. For him, his is duty to nation. It is this sense of duty which has made him a respected commander, serving as the role model for his soldiers.
Despite this, he has a sense of justice and mercy, but his judgement isn't so easily clouded by compromising virtues. He is also a bit of a lover, but he's never shown it to anyone, as he never lets his emotions get the best of him.
History:
The Praetor was born to a poor line descending from one of John Bellhouse's ancestors in the edges of UDSN space, on a poor planet known as Philippi. His mother and father were both labourers, but the young Bellator, once named Kai Bellsyze had other plans. Originally, the young man wanted to be a lawyer, graduating with flying colours in law school, as well as graduating from the mandatory military training. As he grew older, however, the military caught up to him, and he became a distinguished officer and orator, before his planet capitulated to the Dominion without a fight. So far, he had been living a fairly regular life, having been removed from the military for being an officer. At the age of 22, however, that changed, as the so-called Reclamation began, in which the entire population of Imperial space was scanned for people related to the Bellhouse bloodline. Kai's family was discovered, and subsequently awarded. Though his father lived, it was Kai who was given the title of Count Bellsyze. However, he was subsequently allowed to use the name of Bellhouse, but instead opted to rename himself Gaius Bellator, just like his distant relative, Emperor John Bellhouse, who was later baptised as Ioannes Bellator.
His military training was noted once again. Usually, regular soldiers would have been reprimanded or arrested for a short period of time, but Gaius was the exception. Instead, he was promoted to be a captain immediately. Some saw this as an easy way out for a noble like the Count, but when Gaius showed his genius in strategy after proposing a plan to his superior in a time of need, he was further elevated, and became recognised as a military genius. He was elected to be a Commissar, continuing to show his prowess in strategy time and time again in the various crusades against the UDSN. This short, young man was therefore nicknamed the Short Commissar. His opponents disdained him, and he was eventually ordered to command a ragtag group of partisans and volunteers in one of their campaigns against the Internationale, with his opponents hoping to eliminate him. By the end of the campaign, he had made for himself a strictly-disciplined battalion of proper soldiers, and had made himself even more popular, before eventually rising above the rank of his opponents. He had all of them subsequently executed for committing treason against an Imperial Family member.
Eventually, he reached the rank of Legate, or Divisional Commander, at the mere age of 28. It was here where his golden age truly began. He was placed in command of the popular 7th Tank Division of the 10th Tank Army during the Carolean Crusades initiated by his distant relative, Charles Bellator, son to the Emperor himself. It was on Planet-0182, when, upon landing, the 10th Tank Army was immediately cut off from the rest of the Army Group when a logistical error dropped them off nearly a hundred kilometres away from where they should have landed. None of the Army Group's armies and reserves could come to the rescue, seeing as they were being besieged and pressured on all sides. Instead of going west, the 10th instead opted to connect to the massive river to their rear 5km away. The 3rd Division was sent to accomplish this, while Gaius' 7th was ordered to prepare an offensive. The enemy attempted to envelop the 10th by capturing a mountain with the use of a division, but this effort failed when Gaius sent a hundred MT1 'Mountain Goats' supported by a thousand infantrymen to take the hill in advance. By the time the Internationale got within range of the MT1s and the towed artillery, the bombardment had begun. Thinking that an entire enemy division had taken the mountain, they retreated. However, they were immediately cut off from the rest of the UDSN army, and were forced to surrender. The UDSN army which had sent for the division responded slowly with an attempted attack on the leftmost pincer of Gaius' division, but by the time they reached the supposed location of the Imperials, they had gone. They had strayed too far, and were again bombarded by the same unit Bellator had sent to the mountains. They tried to fire at the mountain, but the Imperials had dug in. Disorder spread through the Democratic lines, and some units began to retreat contrary to the orders of their general to continue pushing on to the foot of the mountain.
Gaius took advantage of this rout, and spearheaded an attack by his reserve Caesars on the retreating forces, once again making an entire unit surrender bloodlessly. A portion of the UDSN forces arrived at the foot of the mountain, but were unable to climb. Thinking that the enemy couldn't have made it to the mountain's eastern slope, they attempted to go through there. At first, there was quiet, when the last remaining 17,000 men of the enemy's attack force had reached the slope. They were forced to line up against the foot of the mountain, thinning their lines. Like a vice, a massive force came crashing onto the enemy front and rear; the mountain unit and the rest of the division had attacked simultaneously. Then, the reserve Caesars crashed onto the southern end of the enemy row, ending the lives of 17,000 men in an instant. The enemy army collapsed when the 3rd Division attacked from the river to the enemy's flank, taking three cities without resistance, consolidating their positions. The 8th and 9th Divisions, which have so far not seen any action, penetrated through the area of least expectancy: a small seemingly insignificant village by a mountain. This surprise gave way to a dilemma for the enemy, for the village had direct routes to more cities. The 7th exploited this dilemma by suddenly appearing at the rear of the enemy. In a single day, the 7th had travelled more than a hundred kilometres. They were utterly unprepared, so the enemy attempted to make use of a scorched earth policy by destroying their own infrastructure. The plan never came into fruition, as the guard tower the engineers took cover in was captured by orbital drop troopers, who surrounded all 1200 men inside. When the 7th arrived a few hours later, all 1200 men surrendered, and the 7th continued on, unopposed as the rest of the UDSN army had already mobilised against the 8th and 9th. From day to night, the 7th advanced without stopping until the sweep to some of the central cities eventually made the entire enemy army collapse under its own weight.
However, that was nothing compared to what he did next. After relieving the pressure on the flank of the rest of the Army Group, they linked up and solidified their positions. The entire Army Group linked up with four other Army Groups on the Western Front of the continent, and formed a thousand-mile-wide front, from the southern end to the northern end of the continent. The UDSN attempted to solidify their own lines by bringing in static guns, which they emplaced parallel to the Imperial lines. Two months later, however, the 10th Army began to do its job. In the northernmost reaches of the Imperial lines is a dense frozen forest, much like the Terran Siberia. Scouts reported snipers in the forest. The construction of static emplacements were slow. Calculations made by Bellator told him that his initial attack would cripple the enemy for an entire week, but it would also cripple his forces for three days. He would not allow such a leeway for the enemy to manoeuvre.
The rest of the 10th Tank Army stood east of the forest whilst the 7th entered, and as expected, the badly-placed artillery had, to a degree, crippled the 7th's fighting ability and made them stop by a river. The enemy, too, had been crippled; many of their guns were destroyed and had run out of ammunition, while the rest were ordered to form a solid line along the river, with thousands of infantrymen guarding them. The 10th, with even its leader now under the influence of Bellator, sneaked an additional two hundred tanks into the forest at night. By morning, the 7th unexpectedly forded the deep river without the use of pontoon bridges, and emerged on the other side, creating a beachhead on unguarded territory, watched only by scouts. Those scouts were subsequently executed on the spot, as two hundred fresh tanks forded the river, followed by the rest of the 7th. The beachhead allowed the rest of the 7th's ever-broadening spearhead to exploit the enemy lines, with the rest of the 10th following closely behind.
The penetration was not reported as the enemy's communications were cut. A fellow tank division, the 9th, worked hand in hand with Bellator's 7th. By the time the 10th had arrived further into enemy territory, the 7th's advance was blocked off by a heavy division consisting of roughly 500 tanks, outnumbering the 7th. To relieve some pressure on the 7th and the rest of the armies of Army Group A, the 9th and 8th Divisions of the 10th Tank Army chose to attack an enemy besieging the the centre of the Imperial Theatre. The 8th diverted their attention in two places, allowing the centre to push through the static line, while the 9th secured their defeat by attacking reinforcements from another part of the Theatre.
The enemy heavy tank division was ordered to attack the 8th and help the encircled enemy army to break free, while Gaius himself broke free from the enemy tank division's blockade. He would not allow the enemy to construct more static emplacements. An enemy motorised infantry division was sent to block his advance, with a grenadier division supposed to arrive a day after the motorised infantry division had stopped Gaius. The enemy's plans began to solidify before Gaius' eyes. While the enemy mechanised division was refuelling one midnight, Gaius surprised them. By UDSN calculations, Gaius should have been 20 kilometres away, but here he was now. While the enemies were sleeping, the 7th overran their camp. He took a further 10,000 prisoners that day. The grenadiers, upon hearing of this, were forced to retreat, or face the same fate as the mechanised division they were supposed to support. The 7th, now unstoppable, began to lose communication with the rest of the army, leaving behind crippled enemy units in their wake. Two weeks into the offensive, the psychological state of his enemies had degraded significantly, to the point that Gaius had taken an entire city with a feint and a simple lie. He was, however, forced to swing back when the enemy tank division that had blocked him earlier began to attack the 8th Division. The 9th did this, too, and a day later, the 7th and 9th made contact with the 500-tank-strong division, and decimated them in a two-pronged attack before the two divisions continued further into enemy territory. Soon enough, Army Group A was free to move. The static line was destroyed in a few days, freeing the rest of the Army Groups.
Two and a half weeks into the offensive, and the enemy had lost its bearings. What sealed the fate of their enemies on the continent, however, was Gaius' final push. He was given orders to perform a perilous swing into the rear of the enemy in the westernmost part of the continent. Initially thinking that he would be met with heavy resistance on his way, he found himself cruising silently along the wide green fields without resistance, save for a few desperate stragglers who either skirmished with the entire division, or surrendered. He learned from them that they were the only remaining men left guarding the outskirts of the two cities. The rest of the single division left to guard the cities had broken in two, and put up a final stand to defend the strategic rear of the UDSN forces on the continent. The rest of the divisions had apparently been ordered to support the enemy in the pocket Gaius' superiors were planning to create.
All 300 of Gaius' tanks arrived at the cities and besieged them. For 15 days, he besieged both cities without directly engaging them. On the 5th day, the southernmost city collapsed, starving and thirsty. He used this as his beachhead. The rest of the 10th Tank Army arrived just in time to clean up the mess. On the 15th day, half of Army Group A had come to exploit Gaius' lines, enveloping most of the enemy in a massive pocket. Only about 20% of the enemy managed to escape encirclement. The encircled were treated mercilessly by the Imperials as they didn't surrender. Three whole enemy Army Groups were crushed by the weight of the five-Army-Group pocket, and the 20% surrendered in a week after the collapse of the UDSN resistance on the second continent. It took a mere five and a half weeks.
Because of his actions on the front, he was promoted to Imperial Legate, and granted the title Praetor of Philippi. Since then, he has caught the interest of his superiors. With a million elite troops at his disposal, he made his name known and feared throughout the Dominion and the UDSN alike. Since then, he has been ordered to be part of the counteroffensive on the Segmentum Ceres, prepared to unleash the wrath of his Armies upon the UDSN.

His mother and father were both labourers, but the young Bellator, once named Kai Bellsyze had other plans. Originally, the young man wanted to be a lawyer, graduating with flying colours in law school, as well as graduating from the mandatory military training. As he grew older, however, the military caught up to him, and he became a distinguished officer and orator, before his planet capitulated to the Dominion without a fight. So far, he had been living a fairly regular life, having been removed from the military for being an officer. At the age of 22, however, that changed, as the so-called Reclamation began, in which the entire population of Imperial space was scanned for people related to the Bellhouse bloodline. Kai's family was discovered, and subsequently awarded. Though his father lived, it was Kai who was given the title of Count Bellsyze. However, he was subsequently allowed to use the name of Bellhouse, but instead opted to rename himself Gaius Bellator, just like his distant relative, Emperor John Bellhouse, who was later baptised as Ioannes Bellator.
His military training was noted once again. Usually, regular soldiers would have been reprimanded or arrested for a short period of time, but Gaius was the exception. Instead, he was promoted to be a captain immediately. Some saw this as an easy way out for a noble like the Count, but when Gaius showed his genius in strategy after proposing a plan to his superior in a time of need, he was further elevated, and became recognised as a military genius. He was elected to be a Commissar, continuing to show his prowess in strategy time and time again in the various crusades against the UDSN. This short, young man was therefore nicknamed the Short Commissar. His opponents disdained him, and he was eventually ordered to command a ragtag group of partisans and volunteers in one of their campaigns against the Internationale, with his opponents hoping to eliminate him. By the end of the campaign, he had made for himself a strictly-disciplined battalion of proper soldiers, and had made himself even more popular, before eventually rising above the rank of his opponents. He had all of them subsequently executed for committing treason against an Imperial Family member.
Eventually, he reached the rank of Legate, or Divisional Commander, at the mere age of 28. It was here where his golden age truly began. He was placed in command of the popular 7th Tank Division of the 10th Tank Army during the Carolean Crusades initiated by his distant relative, Charles Bellator, son to the Emperor himself. It was on Planet-0182, when, upon landing, the 10th Tank Army was immediately cut off from the rest of the Army Group when a logistical error dropped them off nearly a hundred kilometres away from where they should have landed. None of the Army Group's armies and reserves could come to the rescue, seeing as they were being besieged and pressured on all sides. Instead of going west, the 10th instead opted to connect to the massive river to their rear 5km away. The 3rd Division was sent to accomplish this, while Gaius' 7th was ordered to prepare an offensive. The enemy attempted to envelop the 10th by capturing a mountain with the use of a division, but this effort failed when Gaius sent a hundred MT1 'Mountain Goats' supported by a thousand infantrymen to take the hill in advance. By the time the Internationale got within range of the MT1s and the towed artillery, the bombardment had begun. Thinking that an entire enemy division had taken the mountain, they retreated. However, they were immediately cut off from the rest of the UDSN army, and were forced to surrender. The UDSN army which had sent for the division responded slowly with an attempted attack on the leftmost pincer of Gaius' division, but by the time they reached the supposed location of the Imperials, they had gone. They had strayed too far, and were again bombarded by the same unit Bellator had sent to the mountains. They tried to fire at the mountain, but the Imperials had dug in. Disorder spread through the Democratic lines, and some units began to retreat contrary to the orders of their general to continue pushing on to the foot of the mountain.
Gaius took advantage of this rout, and spearheaded an attack by his reserve Caesars on the retreating forces, once again making an entire unit surrender bloodlessly. A portion of the UDSN forces arrived at the foot of the mountain, but were unable to climb. Thinking that the enemy couldn't have made it to the mountain's eastern slope, they attempted to go through there. At first, there was quiet, when the last remaining 17,000 men of the enemy's attack force had reached the slope. They were forced to line up against the foot of the mountain, thinning their lines. Like a vice, a massive force came crashing onto the enemy front and rear; the mountain unit and the rest of the division had attacked simultaneously. Then, the reserve Caesars crashed onto the southern end of the enemy row, ending the lives of 17,000 men in an instant. The enemy army collapsed when the 3rd Division attacked from the river to the enemy's flank, taking three cities without resistance, consolidating their positions. The 8th and 9th Divisions, which have so far not seen any action, penetrated through the area of least expectancy: a small seemingly insignificant village by a mountain. This surprise gave way to a dilemma for the enemy, for the village had direct routes to more cities. The 7th exploited this dilemma by suddenly appearing at the rear of the enemy. In a single day, the 7th had travelled more than a hundred kilometres. They were utterly unprepared, so the enemy attempted to make use of a scorched earth policy by destroying their own infrastructure. The plan never came into fruition, as the guard tower the engineers took cover in was captured by orbital drop troopers, who surrounded all 1200 men inside. When the 7th arrived a few hours later, all 1200 men surrendered, and the 7th continued on, unopposed as the rest of the UDSN army had already mobilised against the 8th and 9th. From day to night, the 7th advanced without stopping until the sweep to some of the central cities eventually made the entire enemy army collapse under its own weight.
However, that was nothing compared to what he did next. After relieving the pressure on the flank of the rest of the Army Group, they linked up and solidified their positions. The entire Army Group linked up with four other Army Groups on the Western Front of the continent, and formed a thousand-mile-wide front, from the southern end to the northern end of the continent. The UDSN attempted to solidify their own lines by bringing in static guns, which they emplaced parallel to the Imperial lines. Two months later, however, the 10th Army began to do its job. In the northernmost reaches of the Imperial lines is a dense frozen forest, much like the Terran Siberia. Scouts reported snipers in the forest. The construction of static emplacements were slow. Calculations made by Bellator told him that his initial attack would cripple the enemy for an entire week, but it would also cripple his forces for three days. He would not allow such a leeway for the enemy to manoeuvre.
The rest of the 10th Tank Army stood east of the forest whilst the 7th entered, and as expected, the badly-placed artillery had, to a degree, crippled the 7th's fighting ability and made them stop by a river. The enemy, too, had been crippled; many of their guns were destroyed and had run out of ammunition, while the rest were ordered to form a solid line along the river, with thousands of infantrymen guarding them. The 10th, with even its leader now under the influence of Bellator, sneaked an additional two hundred tanks into the forest at night. By morning, the 7th unexpectedly forded the deep river without the use of pontoon bridges, and emerged on the other side, creating a beachhead on unguarded territory, watched only by scouts. Those scouts were subsequently executed on the spot, as two hundred fresh tanks forded the river, followed by the rest of the 7th. The beachhead allowed the rest of the 7th's ever-broadening spearhead to exploit the enemy lines, with the rest of the 10th following closely behind.
The penetration was not reported as the enemy's communications were cut. A fellow tank division, the 9th, worked hand in hand with Bellator's 7th. By the time the 10th had arrived further into enemy territory, the 7th's advance was blocked off by a heavy division consisting of roughly 500 tanks, outnumbering the 7th. To relieve some pressure on the 7th and the rest of the armies of Army Group A, the 9th and 8th Divisions of the 10th Tank Army chose to attack an enemy besieging the the centre of the Imperial Theatre. The 8th diverted their attention in two places, allowing the centre to push through the static line, while the 9th secured their defeat by attacking reinforcements from another part of the Theatre.
The enemy heavy tank division was ordered to attack the 8th and help the encircled enemy army to break free, while Gaius himself broke free from the enemy tank division's blockade. He would not allow the enemy to construct more static emplacements. An enemy motorised infantry division was sent to block his advance, with a grenadier division supposed to arrive a day after the motorised infantry division had stopped Gaius. The enemy's plans began to solidify before Gaius' eyes. While the enemy mechanised division was refuelling one midnight, Gaius surprised them. By UDSN calculations, Gaius should have been 20 kilometres away, but here he was now. While the enemies were sleeping, the 7th overran their camp. He took a further 10,000 prisoners that day. The grenadiers, upon hearing of this, were forced to retreat, or face the same fate as the mechanised division they were supposed to support. The 7th, now unstoppable, began to lose communication with the rest of the army, leaving behind crippled enemy units in their wake. Two weeks into the offensive, the psychological state of his enemies had degraded significantly, to the point that Gaius had taken an entire city with a feint and a simple lie. He was, however, forced to swing back when the enemy tank division that had blocked him earlier began to attack the 8th Division. The 9th did this, too, and a day later, the 7th and 9th made contact with the 500-tank-strong division, and decimated them in a two-pronged attack before the two divisions continued further into enemy territory. Soon enough, Army Group A was free to move. The static line was destroyed in a few days, freeing the rest of the Army Groups.
Two and a half weeks into the offensive, and the enemy had lost its bearings. What sealed the fate of their enemies on the continent, however, was Gaius' final push. He was given orders to perform a perilous swing into the rear of the enemy in the westernmost part of the continent. Initially thinking that he would be met with heavy resistance on his way, he found himself cruising silently along the wide green fields without resistance, save for a few desperate stragglers who either skirmished with the entire division, or surrendered. He learned from them that they were the only remaining men left guarding the outskirts of the two cities. The rest of the single division left to guard the cities had broken in two, and put up a final stand to defend the strategic rear of the UDSN forces on the continent. The rest of the divisions had apparently been ordered to support the enemy in the pocket Gaius' superiors were planning to create.
All 300 of Gaius' tanks arrived at the cities and besieged them. For 15 days, he besieged both cities without directly engaging them. On the 5th day, the southernmost city collapsed, starving and thirsty. He used this as his beachhead. The rest of the 10th Tank Army arrived just in time to clean up the mess. On the 15th day, half of Army Group A had come to exploit Gaius' lines, enveloping most of the enemy in a massive pocket. Only about 20% of the enemy managed to escape encirclement. The encircled were treated mercilessly by the Imperials as they didn't surrender. Three whole enemy Army Groups were crushed by the weight of the five-Army-Group pocket, and the 20% surrendered in a week after the collapse of the UDSN resistance on the second continent. It took a mere five and a half weeks.
Because of his actions on the front, he was promoted to Imperial Legate, and granted the title Praetor of Philippi. Since then, he has caught the interest of his superiors. With a million elite troops at his disposal, he made his name known and feared throughout the Dominion and the UDSN alike. Since then, he has been ordered to be part of the counteroffensive on the Segmentum Ceres, prepared to unleash the wrath of his Armies upon the UDSN.

Appearance: This man stands at six feet tall, he appears to have medium length brown hair and hazel eyes. He wears a standard Internationale uniform with the chevrons of a private on the uniform. Adorned in standard kit, he carries a variety of weaponry on him. He appears to be an average build, his uniform has definetly seen wear and tear from combat.
Personality: Lars is rather cold and mature, his time on the front has left his emotions sucked dry as he has lost, celebrated on multiple occasions. The emotions he possessed as a civilian seemed to have faded from his service in the military. He can be comforting and kind, most of the time he jokes around to hide how he really feels.
History: Conscripted into the Internationale's military, Lars saw himself in action against the Dominion early on in his military career. Spending about a year in combat for the Internationale, his superiors saw potential in him after witnessing his skills in combat. Lars was reassigned to a specialist unit within the 57th, the unit he was assigned to since the start of his service. Currently Lars resides in his barracks, waiting to deploy once again as the cycle of death, torment, and slaughter await the Internationale on another battlefield far far away.
