Just curious about what you guys use to stay organized? I use a program called Scrivener. I finally set it up the way I like it.

A dozen RTF docs in a folder structure on a USB stick.

Scrivener seems useful. The way I do it is that I have a private Google Doc where I've set up the Outline System. Each separate header is organized and there are zones for minor headers within those headers. Though, it is also a mess most of the time since I leave a bunch of tick mark notes all over the place when I have random thoughts. It is just a private doc anyway, the actual docs I use are organized to look nice. Any writing for characters is kept in its own place.

For me it is a starred pm to myself for each Rp where I keep all the notes about the RP in there and a spiral notebook where I can quickly write things down and keep track of people's counters each day.

A notebook in the car for jotting down ideas. For some reason driving is a great time to brainstorm (maybe cause it's 30-60min to get to, work)

Other than that, a folder in My Documents with mountains of notepad docs, and the occasional PM to myself for formatting reasons. Maybe I will look at that program, but notepad docs seem to be fine for the time being.

Chaos Theory. That's what we use.

and a few google docs, of course.

But mostly chaos theory.

Thanks for all your posts! I've thought about most of those, Google Docs takes too long for me to navigate for my tastes. I hadnt' purchased Scrivener I would've probably done what @Lady Amalthea@NuttsnBolts did. :P

Sincerely, chaos helps me be creative. Even on my "planning" thread and PM (for those things I want to keep out of the public eye) there's little to no structure. I try to keep things organized, but they always go back to being a mess given enough time.

That may be the nightmare of somehow with high levels of OCD but, it works for me, so I'm good with it.
