Actually the greyshields were all loyalist stock. The idea that Cawl used traitor primarch genseeed is just something people wanted to be true, instead of actually being true.

"Active for over a standard century well into the 42nd Millennium, they were comprised of nine Space Marine Legion-sized armies of Primaris Space Marines, all drawn from the lineage of one of the 9 Primarchs who had led the Loyalist Space Marine Legions during the Horus Heresy."

That is a quote from the wiki page and they do repeat that in the dark Imperium books.

it seems that, at least for now all known primaris marines are taken from loyalist stock only.

@Ollumhammersong I never stated Cawl did make them just that he had the gene seed of traitors as well. Which again since Cawl is radical as they come I figure he might make some in the future or in secret.

It is stated that they have Gene from all primarch's though Guilleman orders the new Astartes to be made from only loyalist Gene seed and improved over normal marines.

Right, assuming you are all dedicated - and therefore won't flake out on me, or leave without telling me - I reckon this could go quite well...we shall see.

I'll get started on the IC thread soon, just got back from work, but I'm looking forward to this.

Im running a RP myself so i have time for 1-2 but ive also got to keep on top the editing first page etc.

I don't abandon games unless someones a jerk or its plain died :)

Ha, yeah dedicated. I'm tempted by space wolf or imperial fist. I know there lore pretty well even having read in Watton original space Marine book, Ragnar serris, Elishorn.some ravenger. And dark impirum :)

@Jbcool I should be able to easily handle two posts a week, though they'll probably be less frequently posted on weekdays than on weekends.

I'm thinking a recipient of Rogal Dorn's Gene-seed from Stygia-Aquilon, where the Executioners chapter were based before they took their repentance quest because power axe.

@Bluetommy Well he won't be getting a power axe as we're Intercessors (maybe later), but those sound fine for his pre-freeze origins.

Least there'd a choice of 3 bolt rifles. And optional grenade launcher

Regular.
Long range marksman
LMG / high capacity assault model

Bolt pistol
Combat blade.
Grenades

Sgt can take a power sword I belive.

I have a codex I can check one time lol.

You could swap a cc blade for a metal non powered axe maybe at first :)

Intercessors use old legion rules and formation tactics. Which means the entire squad takes something or no one does.

I.e we all use bolt rifles, or we all use stalkers, or auto-bolt rifles.

As for the grenade launcher I kinda already claimed that with JB, as there is typically only 1 launcher per 5 marines. its the only auxiliary equipment intercessors use.

Unlike standard tactical marines which are purpose built to be as flexible as possible with options for wargear. the Primaris are more purpose built.

But ya, the sergeant cant take a power sword. I just assumed JB would be taking on the role of sergeant

Eh I mean I would prefer if we had some weapon choice or could at least scavenge stuff. That or maybe multiple squads that were nearly taken out and have put together for the time being since they really just needs bodies or something.

That or like a Primaris Kill Team.

On another note, I wonder if I can get away with being from Caliban as part of my backstory? Not sure yet how it would work since I would imagine all Dark Angels aspirants would be vat-born since Luther had them all.

Pretty sure I made it clear we'd be Intercessors - if this was a Deathwatch/standard Astartes RP then I'd be fine, but Primaris are the way they are because it's Rowboat going 'back to legions' as it were. The power weapon, as with any Marines, is wielded by the Sergeant...you want to be the Sergeant? I don't actually mind, just asking.

As far as things go, depending how far we go with this and more importantly where it goes, we may well have to scavenge and so forth, so keep that in mind; as it is for now, we're Primaris and we're more-or-less identical in terms of armour and arms.

Lastly, he could well be from Caliban if Cawl got to him early enough and shoved him in the freezer.

Aye. I get unified gear and the unified Armour styles.

However we could have a few unnumbered sons who squads got mixed up due to losses, or met on battlefields and worked together out of requirements. Mean same gear, mk X armour, just stalker, bolt and assault rifles are available.

That's not the biggest stretch?

Bolt pistols are standard marine issue. No special.
Same with blade and Grenades.
