The languages I would like to learn are: Greek, German, French, and Mandarin. I am already fluent in Sarcasm, bitch, and English. I also speak broken Latin and Spanish.

Side not that I've probably already stated here before: I love accents.

German can be a difficult language to learn. I took it for four years because my mother took German and my grandfather was born in Germany, so I can attest to it being a difficult language. Every noun has a gender, and genders change depending on the case. It also doesn't help that Germans love slapping words onto words to make new words, and sometimes it can get out of hand like these two words:

To be fair, German is probably easier than most Asian languages. I know Japan has multiple variations of their language, and some kanji can mean one thing one moment and something else the next.

And on the topic of foreign languages and facts about ourselves, my brain goes haywire when trying to converse in German. I can read and write German easily, but when I'm talking to someone (or hearing someone speak German, like the exchange students we had), my mind goes blank. I heard it happens to a lot of people, so I suppose I'm not the only one who does this.

I have very little opportunity to practice my German now that I am about 30 years removed. I also learned to speak Spanish in High School. Again, that was a very long time ago. I did practice with Spanish speaking soldiers years ago.

English is a Germanic language and is very similar to English. Most Romanic languages; latin based are also easier to learn because English has several Latin root words carried over from the French language.

I've always had a strong propensity for learning foreign languages. I have no experience with Asian languages.

Most of my knowledge of language is limited to English (native language) and German, though I know select phrases in other languages. I know a bit of Japanese from watching anime (though nothing as far as full sentences), and a little bit of European languages such as French because I love adding little pieces here and there in my roleplays like the fantasy 19th century-inspired roleplay I was in for several years.

Similar case here.

I've known English all my life; my 'dialect' is apparently somewhere in between American and Canadian. I know bits and bobs of French and Spanish from school, Japanese from being a degenerate weeb, and German from hanging around too much with the fella above me. But they all suck, I want to be fluent in Mando'a someday.

The translation should be fine, I believe. The main things I noticed was that Gunther wrote left off the e of studierte (presuming he studied there previously), tacked on e for Jahre (Jahre is years, not one/a year), and that he forgot the umlaut for für/fuer (though I'm not really picky on this myself). Still, even if there are grammatical errors, the point still gets across to people who don't speak German regularly and have it as a second language.

Also, I did not receive lessons in German grammar until I got to college, but again, that was about 30 years ago. I forgot a lot; no one to practice speaking the language with.

If you want to type an umlaut, just remember there is an e after it. Für = fuer, for instance. Same with the German ß, which can be written as ss.

I was taught how to import german keyboard bindings.

That, and how to use microsoft excel as a scientific-calculator.

And that it's often faster/more-precise to just use keyboard shortcuts and console commands instead of trying to locate the mouse cursor... ever.

I'll just throw two more out...

So do you ever have a word that for whatever reason, your brain farts and fails to say when its at the tip of your tongue?

I'm not talking about strict pronunciation either. And I don't have recent instances of this. (One I believe I've already mentioned before, which was the most recent case of this happening.)

But I think my most frequent failing is "Specific". Couldn't really explain why either. But my brain used to never like vocalizing that word without freezing up.

*Shrugs*

And also I'm considered a Monkey according to the Chinese Zodiac. Despite that I was born in January (and the year is normally for The Rooster) but apparently according to the exact time I was born qualifies me to be something else. (and after looking at the Wiki, it also confirms this.)

Some people adore horror films of any kind. However, I don't do movies where the killer is human. I have no problem watching a Chestburster pop out of someone, or a Predator tearing someone's spine out. In fact, I love monsters that display more human traits like intelligence, planning, and sadism. I know these aren't real, and the odds of me being hunted down and getting a face full of alien wing-wong are next to nonexistent. But as remote as it sounds, getting killed by a crazy neighbor is a lot more likely to happen.

@HaleyTheRandom Not as much anymore, not since so many of my favorite characters either left or got killed.

I am aware the Eszett is spelled ss. I will not memorize the keyboard shortcuts, nor write them down and search for them when I need them. I am old and can't remember shit.
