@Muttonhawk Ah, I see. Is it possible for it to be posted here or on the Wiki?

I still await for you to start the collab. I'm in a position that I'm ready.

Well if we're doing a thing with Sartr, then you don't need to know much at all. He hasn't done anything but be inside his realm taking a magma bath.

@Lmpkio I'm all caught up now. I may have jumped the gun slightly with the idea I have for the Sei-Sartr collab. You don't need to wait on me for it. It's one of those things that might happen in a post, or in four turns, or in ten turns. It all depends on how Seihdhara's story develops.
For the moment, I've got at least one post to make, and then we can see if the Sei-Sartr collab is suitable. So yes, if you have ideas etc. don't get held up waiting for me.

On a different note, I can't seem to access the google doc you sent me way.

@Kho, here's the latest edition of the map. We're still missing a few Gateways.

@Lmpkio I think there might be an interaction between the living strand and some other gods (if anyone is about and is interested in stumbling across it), and perhaps we can then get to that collab depending on how those interactions go.

Edit: Unless Sartr is out and about exploring Galbar, that may hasten an interaction and the progression of what I have in mind. Which is probably quite evident after my last post. ^^'

Edit 2: Or... maybe not. o.o

(it flows with divine ichor. Which can't be good... but we'll let BBeast deal with the details)

You what mate? You madman.

Although, you did put a blood river on the blood god's continent.

Did the hair seriously pull Seihd's corpse to the other side of the planet? Literally the opposite side of the planet?

As for the river, it depends on whether Seihdhara's ichor carries her essence or not. If it does carry her essence, then we've got all manner of problems, most of them revolving around how Seihdhara's corpse shouldn't be able to produce that much divine essence and that literally everything touching that river and its outlet would either die or become a demigod. If her blood is not the primary carrier of her divine essence, but rather her hair, then I have no idea what it would do. You tell me. Don't try to palm this mess off to me. Whatever effects this river has, along with all the other blood you dripped across 20,000 km of ocean, are coming out of your budget.

Anyway, a 3000 kilometer long river of godly blood is hardly a 'minor' landscape feature, even if rivers are normally only 2 FP. How much more expensive it is would depend on its powers. Also, rivers don't branch when flowing downstream. They merge instead. The river Seihdhar should instead be a single line, not a branching one, if you want it to have any verisimilitude.

P.S. Whatever you've done, I hope you've thought it through carefully.

Also, Asceal survived that explosion at point blank but Seihdhara, goddess of Combat of all things, can hardly survive atmospheric re-entry?

Anyway, I should leave you to it rather than inundating you with my panicked thoughts of 'What!? Oh goodness why?!'

@BBeast I bigged up her hair, and it has lived up to that bigness! None can accuse me of hyping stuff that ain't hyped! >.>

In truth, it would make a great amount of sense for Seihdhara's divine essence to be in her hair rather than her blood. It readily explains stuff I was going to divulge in later posts. So if it is an acceptable divergence from the canon, or building upon it, I will go with her hair being the primary carrier of her divine essence. Much as it would be great for everything to either die or become a demigod we'll hold off on that no doubt brilliant idea. It shall therefore fall to @Muttonhawk, as our very own blood god, to decide what that blood does. YOU CAN'T MAKE ME TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS!

edit: i joke. i'll work it out when i make the wiki page for it.

As for the river, I actually didn't know that. I just thought rivers flow along any easy downward slopes even if that means different branches develop. But if it should be a single river then the person who makes the final version of the map can go with any of the river-mouths feeding into the World Water. Though that one feeding into the Giant's Bath (which is Narzhak's hole if my understanding is correct) was pretty cool.

Edit 2: To assuage your panicked mind, I assure you that there is a good reason (to my mind at least) for why Seihdhara was killed by the blast while others - even Asceal who got it at point-blank range - didn't. It has to do with Seihdhara's hair, and now that you have given me the idea of her hair being the carrier of her divine essence it makes even greater sense.
If you'd like a fuller explanation I can pm you three.

@Kho The blood probably bears some of Seihdhara's characteristics, even if it isn't the primary carrier of her essence, so the river would reflect that.

The Giant's Bath is also the location of Hemen, the Gateway to Fengshui Fuyou, not Narzhak's place. It's a big crater lake from which Shengshi is presumably making a bunch of rivers. Shengshi will probably be interested in this new river Seihdhara has made.

The River Seihdhar will likely receive numerous tributaries, which would dilute the blood further downstream.

@BBeast Righto - you might have missed this edit to my above reply:

And I don't seem to have seen any mention of the Giant's Bath in the IC, I must have not paid that any attention while reading. In any case, thanks for letting me know!

Once I have worked out what the river Seihdhar's properties are I'll update the FP expenditure accordingly. It would still fall within the remit of Freepoints, right? Else I'll wait until next turn to properly canonise that with some MP expenditure. o-o

In fairness Asceal is a glowy hologram lady.

What that entails... I'll figure it out later. Could help explain the damage discrepancy though. Idk.

How dare you make me think this late at night @Kho

@Crispy Octopus No no, there's no need for you to explain anything from your end. It all has to do with Seihdhara being incomplete, and so weaker and more susceptible to mortal wounds than she should be. Once this arc is complete she'll go back to the Architect's moon and beat him up.

Aight @Kho.

Also in reply to @Oraculum thinking my brilliant summaries are too short:

Point form big boom explanation:

-Asceal's sphere explodes when her Celestial Furnace fails to contain an eternal spark in the process of manifesting.

-The sphere is about the size of Ceres, before it exploded huge internal sections of it acted as lenses.

-It shattered into millions of pieces, some are penny sized and others could be as large as apartment buildings or bigger.

-Those pieces were impregnated with eternal light in the explosion and will emit a dull glow basically forever.

-Most of the pieces stayed in Asceal's sphere, but a fraction were blasted both towards Galbar and other celestial spheres. Galbar, as the middle sphere, probably got the second most after Asceal's sphere.

-Bits of the furnace might have been mixed in with the debris. These will be unimaginably hard to find. Maybe plot points later on.
