@LuckyBlackCat Thank you very much. I will likely unsub from the RP thread itself, but if you're fine with me passing by the Discord now and again, I promise not to be a bother, not that I was all that active before, but still.

@Mangrale I'm sad to see you go... but it's been fun ! Hope to see you around, keep up the good work !

@Indra As my (New) Co-GM said, we stay afar from too much Canon stuff. Especially since we're in a different country, but nothing stops you from creating a character inspired from it.

@Genon The Quirk could work...but I'd need to see it written down in more details. Through a PM if you wish, or directly on a CS so we can approve or pin point stuff to change?

@Ryonara I like this Quirk idea. I like that it's pretty simple. As Blackcat said, though, we need a drawback. A good inspiration would be Momo - she creates objects that last forever, but doing it requires energy. Something akin to that? Reinforcing objects requires something out of him, and the bigger the more, but the effects remain? The rest seems fine with me !

Did I miss anyone? Sorry for the long time I take to answer - this is why I appointed a Co-Gm ! Haha.

How about I make it so he can only reinforce objects for a minute, regardless if he’s touching it or not, and afterwards there’s a cooldown period for each object? That way later upgrades will just be longer reinforcement duration and lower cooldowns.

@Ryonara The problem is almost all Quirks come with some form of Backlash in MHA... even with that solution, he still can technically use his quirk indefinitely. Not that it's the most OP power I have ever seen, but it's more in order to follow the MHa spirit? I'd rather see a upgraded version of the Quirk with some sort of limit to it, than a weaker version with no limits, if you understand me?

@Aerandir I forgot you ! Haha. So far it looks ok, but I will wait for a finished CS before judging.

Backlash huh. Hmm. Could I do something like reinforcing an object only delays the damage it would sustain? That way after it wears off in a minute the normal damage comes back, could end up destroying whatever he's reinforcing so he has to be mindful not to over use it. Not really a direct drawback but it'll at least prevent Damian from just using his quirk over and over on an object since he will end up destroying it.

Another idea is that the more he uses his powers his body takes physical strain depending on how he's reinforcing his items. Harder objects causes bruises, sharper objects gives him cuts, etc.

It has to be him.

Quirks are not super powers, and from what I saw so far people tend to see them too much as this... Quirks are essentially all mutations of the body. The Quirks have to find their origin from within someone, and more often than not using a Quirk will tire you just as much as using any other parts of your body, like legs or arms. So this is the direction you have to take.

My villain is Poisonous, but she has to maintain that poison in a way not yet disclosed. Some others are hurt when they use their Quirks or hurt themselves or get tired. So this is the way you have to take to develop a real MHA Quirk ! Hehe.

Way I see it, maybe he uses his energy when he uses the Quirk, so he has to eat more than others. Or Drink, or something like that.

Alright I get it. Then I think I'll use a sort of "does damage to his own body" sort of way. He's basically using his own muscles in a sort of way to reinforce whatever he's touching, so this means the more he does it the more damage to his muscles it causes. This also prevents him from reinforcing big things since they take up more energy that will weaken him much more.

@Ryonara @SimpleWriter

Can I make a suggeston? Instead of having the reinforcement actively damage him, why not a simple debuff to counterbalance the simple buff he's giving to the object he's touching? IE, while his quirk is reinforcing something, he himself is much more vulnerable to damage; he'll bruise more severely when struck, he'll bleed more profusely if cut, and it makes him more sensitive to pain in general. You can even take this to further levels if reinforcing larger objects or prolonging the reinforcement past the usual time limit takes more effort on the part of his quirk; he'll start becoming more sensitive to light and sound, and even changes in air pressure. It could even affect his immune system. :)

This way, reinforcing things still provides a risk to himself, which forces him to be more careful with it and dissuades him from using it on one thing for too long, while also playing into the theme of his quirk. Thoughts?

@Aerandir Oh wow, that's an intense sample post. I like it, and the fighting style you described, now to wait for SimpleWriter's verdict.

@Ryonara Forgot to answer you ! Sorry !

Could work. Then he could train his muscles, basically, to allow himself to work on his Quirk more. Something like that? If you edit it in, notify me that I can confirm and you can put it in the CS tab.

@LuckyBlackCat

I made the edits. His quirk now runs on his muscle strength, so over use will weaken his muscles and overall ability to use his quirk.

@Heartfillia@SimpleWriter Thanks, both you you! I'll get a character up soon! :D

As for the Quirks I had in mind, here they are;

1. A mutation/transformation quirk. Gives my character the physiology of a mermaid and is able to turn their body or specific body parts into water and manipulate them accordingly.

2. The ability to store objects of any shape or kind inside of their body, so long as they aren't bigger than their body. For example, if they were to store a knife, they'd push the weapon into their forearm and allow it to sink into their body. Once they've done so, a tattoo of said item will appear where they placed it, in this case their forearm. They can store as many things as they want inside of them so long as there's space on their skin; no overlapping of tattoos. (I think I favor this one more?)

They each have their weaknesses, but I thought I'd just say what they do for now ^^

@Tenma TendoI personally like the second better, seems more useful for a hero.

What are the weaknesses of both?

Plus question. The first is it like.... tail for legs? How do they get around?
