Reagan Gideon Breckenridge

The girl whom Reagan had praised not long ago as a mediator suddenly got mad at him, on behalf of a teacher of all things. As if the councilor needed her to intervene! Apparently she was similar to Daria in that regard, and Ray wondered at the coincidence that the two of them would share a room. El’s comments on respect and intelligence drew an involuntary sneer from him, however; she was using an intimately familiar tactic on him. Ray had met more than his share of adults who thought they could model him into some perfect heir, and who meant to control every single aspect of his life with that exact same sorry excuse of an argument.

“It was a joke, and you are the only one getting heated here” he informed El with an eyeroll. “I’d need an acid-proof stomach to even consider it,” he muttered to himself, brushing loose fabric from the damaged part of his outfit. Ugh, this jacket was ruined. Just great. Reagan thought it was still better to keep the thing, however, as he wasn’t certain how much money his parents would be willing to shell out for non-essentials when they were still so pissed.

Reagan rolled his shoulders, and huffed at his friend rather than get fixated on another over-reactive person. “Not any weirder than Betty’s imagination,” he replied to Feier, shrugging. Nevertheless, he was glad for her teasing observation, and his smile showed it.

As the student, whose first name he learned was Helena – not just Hel – due to Betty’s mention, soon excused herself, however, so Ray left her to it. Instead, he listened to the councilor with mild curiosity. “Sounds like you get spilled more often that you’d like,” he commented, rising a judging eyebrow, though the sharp reply was tempered by an upwards twitch of his lips.

“So you’ve decided to put the three problem students in one room? Curious arrangement, but I’m sure you have more than us to worry about,” he said to Betty, amused.

“Yeah, I heard, we’re with August,” Ray chuckled at Fei’s enthusiasm. Her joy was invigorating, and the resulting uplift in his mood was enough for Ray to forget entirely about Daria and Helena. “Sure, let’s go over,” he agreed, pleased to be in the company of a like-minded comrade who also had the perk of exuding an aura of carefree fun.

“Hmm, that incident of his, huh?” he barked a laugh. “I’ll let August tell you all about it,” Ray promised, expecting that to go over well, if well was a synonym for hilarious. He sighed, eyes closing briefly, grinning at the nostalgic bliss one of the more memorable events at the Institute brought him. Teachers and students alike had resembled uncoordinated chickens in their attempts to fix the incident, but their endeavors were laughably pathetic. Not to mention how nonfunctional their preventive measures had been.

“Oh, hey, look at that cutie he’s talking to,” he whispered to Fei. “Isn’t that kid adorable? Makes me want to pinch his cheek or something,” he murmured, expression softening as he looked at the brown-haired boy chatting to the blonde. There was something alluring about the plain-looking lad, though Reagan couldn’t quite put a finger on the why of it.

They approached the duo just as the kid introduced himself as AJ. “Seems like a nickname,” Reagan noted neutrally, mildly dubious despite AJ’s claim. Ray considered himself an expert on nicknames, after all, and that didn’t have the ring of a full name. “That’s fine though. I go by Ray even though my folks named me Reagan,” he confessed, his tone making it clear that he did not find his name appealing.

“Anyhow, we came over to inform August here,” he nodded at the blonde, “that Betty just told us that the three of us are dorming together,” he revealed, gesturing at Fei, the blonde, and himself, displaying another of his open-mouthed grins. “Since we were all expelled from the Institute for causing shit and all that,” he conveyed the councillor's reasoning with a smirk.

Nobody had looked at her, that was great! This made it much easier to be safe and confident, as she couldn't handle people staring at her. Of course, this didn't mean she felt fully safe, she kept looking over her shoulder, imagining stares that weren't there.

"Hey, does that stand for something? Like, you know. OJ is orange juice. Unless you're... apple juice? Is that a name? Is that your name?"

She didn't hear what those people were saying, but her ears picked up the words Apple and Juice and it made her panic a bit. She almost chocked on her drink. Coughing, the girl looked around still trying to see if anyone was staring at her with the intent to make refreshments out of her, nobody approached but she still retreated, until eventually, she stepped into something long and thin, a snake.

"Gyah!" the girl eeped as she slipped on the reptiles tail, falling on her back which was enough to trigger a transformation. Her boy shone, and where once was now an apple,

"Ow ow ow..." she whispered faintly.

Yon

"One day I want to be able to give life to trees and rocks and even wardrobes"

The issue with doing something like this to Yon was that the smiling girl didn't show any sort of change outward, but inward... well, she felt two things, one was that she no longer felt peckish, the other "Oh thanks Miss Godly Saint Person, Gertrude." she bowed slightly. "My tail had been hurting since I fell from the moon, now its fine! Thank you for that."

She stood up, humming. "Here, you can have this." she reached into her pocket and took out some mochi. "Thank you!"

Professor Celia Reed finally had her attention at something, the snake who said she was a shifter stuck in such a form... It made the sphinx raise up a bit, very interested in the sight.

Bet Eil merely smiled at their excitement about their rooms, about how "windy" they could be, or that they would be together with their friends. It... almost hurt her. Some students would be lucky, others would be fated to terrible conditions. Broken staircases, packed hot rooms, communal or inconvenient locations for changing or showering, broken beds (if they got beds), loud locations, and that was not even counting the magical threats. So she smiled and she nodded while praying for their souls.

That amount of prayer would be nothing like how much she would pray for the girl who started speaking to her about meeting the headmistress. She appreciated the courage but she was having a mini heart-attack, despite slimes lacking a heart.

"T-t-t-the headmistress!?" she blurted, her blue growing a bit pale. "Listen, she is easy to get a hold off actually, most people just would rather not. Err, the next batch of reports should be getting made soon, considering there are a few students here I don't know. You could go pick it up and deliver to her, maybe that would make her be in good favor with you. Y-You should be careful, and think of things you have or can do that can be of her interest."

@Ponn

Director Droxl turned around a while ago, listening to Bet Eil as she spoke of dorms. He looked over her paperwork and saw the students who were still undecided.

"POTIRA PLEASE GIVE THE VOCAL VOLUME ENHANCING CONOID I MUST INFORM THEM ABOUT THE LODGING AND MAKE THE PAIRS TRIOS OR QUARTETS THAT SHALL SHARE A ROOM TOGETHER"

"Err, I think its a quiet day, you don't need a megaphone" the dryad said as smoothly as she could.

Parr

Parr had just left his interview with the admissions officer when he noticed a colorful flyer pinned to a bulletin board on the waiting room wall. “Welcome Party for the Class of 4997” it announced.

“Jubilation!” he exclaimed, his tail wagging happily. “That sounds like wonderful fun!”

He checked the time.

“Hmm, it’s already gotten underway, but if I hurry I shouldn’t miss too much.”

Then he noted the date.

“Oh, fliddleflam! It would appear that I missed the party by a full day! Not to worry, though!” he announced to no one in particular. “Everything shall be made right with the aid of my temporal compressor!”

Not wasting another second, the canine produced a strange device that looked somewhat like an hourglass. Its twin crystal orbs contained not sand, but rather a pair of complex gyroscopes, which spun and whirled at a dizzying speed. After holding it aloft for all of the room’s non-existent occupants to see, he pressed an elaborate activation rune on its base, after which the entire universe appeared to come apart at the seams. For the briefest of moments, sounds were colors, colors were sounds, day was night, night was day, people’s insides were on their outsides, and outside the bounds of the multiverse, an entire pantheon of eldritch beings was sucked from their vast, extradimensional realm and squeezed between the teeth of a small mouse.

But only for the briefest of moments.

Then, the inconceivable insanity collapsed back into relative normality. The “relative” part must be stressed here, for although Parr, along with some of the other late arrivals, were now a full day in the past (and, indeed, had always been a full day in the past), the new historical narrative was not without its fair share of, shall we say, incongruities… For instance the admissions officer was quite unsure if a certain possessed applicant had provided her application during an interview, or if she had used a portal to deliver said application via slimy tentacle. Meanwhile, another application had simply winked out of existence, although the hole in the wall made by the equally non-existent Wyvern that had (never) delivered it still remained. Such strange timy-wimy things often happen where temporal manipulations are concerned.

For his part, Parr didn’t even bother to give it a second thought. He had arrived, and that was all that mattered.

“Salutations, fellow students!” He called out in a jovial voice, hoping to make a grand and dignified entrance.

"Hey, that's not a bad idea!" Kate noted, after Betty had suggested that delivering some applications might put the headmistress in a more receptive mood. "Just point me in the right direction, and I'll see that they get to her safe and sound! Oh, and don't worry about me. I'm fairly confident that once we've had our little chat, she'll be glad that I decided to visit her academy."

Daria
Location: Welcome Party at the Garden
Interactions: @Zinita@blackdragon

Daria wasn't exactly surprised when the snake explained to her this was an accident. She was starting to get the feeling there wasn't a great deal of wisdom around here. The leopardess considered just ending the conversation here before things got even weirder, then watched as a random girl just tripped over the snakes tail and rolled away.

At this point Daria had a very weird feeling come over her before shaking her head and picking up the person apple thing. She didn't bother asking this one if it was a druid. "Clumsy Apple ..." Threatening the admissions officer was one thing, but how did she keep an apple person safe. "... tasty?" Daria simply stared at the apple threateningly. "Sarah, do snakes eat apples?"

Leonhard

Leonhard’s eye twitched, and he tilted his head to the right. Looking at Adara before, he could’ve sworn he saw something in her. Whatever it was, however, he could no longer see. Adara was pathetic. That much was clear to him now. How could a mage, someone who had that which he so desperately toiled to achieve, so nonchalantly doubt their magic. It was enraging. They have nothing left to redeem themselves.

He took a deep breath. This didn’t mean Leonhard would give up on Adara. She would not be so lucky.

”You can’t--” Growling, Leonhard coughed, and checked in his tone to a more benign acoustic. ”You can’t mean that your magic is only relevant when given the resources. Not to mention, if you can’t do an on the spot demonstration, then you’ll hardly be prepared for any interviews come internship season.”

Leonhard leaned forward, with an intense look in his eyes. ”Magic is not as simple as yesses and noes. It’s the very reflection of your will imposed on the physical world. Resources are useful, but their presence is just a catalyst -- though if you were to ask me, I’d call them handicaps. Magical circles are just an abstraction of the inscribed magic, it allows the inferior magicians not to worry about static magic prepared prior their ritual. Necromancers rely on bodies as the vessels for which them to defile and utilize, but given the proper knowledge, they need not but a spec of organic dust to fashion their own cadaver. Even magitech gear is just a middleman to make our lives easier. It’s all for the sake of making harder tasks possible for inferior mages.”

Leonhard looked into Adara’s eyes. ”Those who have magic should not rely on anything but their willpower. Those who have magic should not be content to call it below average. Magic is our determination to change the world. It is intelligence. It is wisdom. It is knowledge. It is an infinite number of hours spent pouring over textbooks and journals while you struggle to produce a spark strong enough to light a cigarette, all so that you’d be recognized as something more than a tragedy.”

He turned away, breaking eye contact and looking at the rest of the crowd. ”You’re going to learn all of this, and so much more. You value your time, so if you’d like to minimize how much you waste, you’ll meet me after classes let out tomorrow.” Leonhard looked over his shoulders. ”Whatever your magic is, you’ll show me it then. So be prepared. And then, once your resources are expended and you have nothing, I’ll teach you how to do it again.”

Turning away once again, and walking off back towards the crowd, he muttered under his breath. Each and every one of you will excel, no matter what it takes from my end.

« « August Lacey » »

@stone | AJ Underfoot, @SilverPaw | Reagan Gideon Breckenridge, @xia | Feier Fiammetta
"Oh, well, if you say so," August said, frowning. This boy was quite short, wasn't he? Not just in stature, but in speech as well. "I am-" he started, before he was interrupted by Reagan's lookalike, who then proceeded to introduce himself as Reagan. At his side was the girl who was the splitting image of Feier, and based off of what Reagan followed up with, it wasn't too far fetched to assume that she was her. He stood there and blinked for a second, trying to process what had just happened and unsure of what to say.

"Yes- yes, I'm August," He cracked a nervous smile. "August from the Institute, who got expelled. That's me. I really didn't expect to see you two here, you know," he said, laughing. "And we're all in a room together! Oh, that'll be great! I haven't seen you two in what- forever?"

August thought about what it would be like to share a room with a prankster and a pyromaniac. Not very good was his immediate conclusion. At the very least, he'd like a nice room.

(Considering the last thing he was told before he left was that his mother refused to spend any more money on him, that was kind of a toss up.)

Helena

Helena sat quietly as she watched the party from a distance, having taken her time to cool down as she simply looked on. Ray and Feier were talking to the boy who was likely called August, judging by Bet's comments. August was accompanied by someone else, though Helena had no clue who they would be.

Elsewhere, she watched on as a girl tripped over a snake that Daria was talking to, only to turn into... an apple, of all things. Daria picked up the apple afterwards, and seemed to be talking to it. Or the snake. Either way, Helena decided to stay out of that. Not far from them was a girl with a tail and rabbit ears, talking to a glowing person. That must be that Yon girl the councillor mentioned, accompanied by someone Helena could only guess was holy in one way or another. She could feel Izzy's presence inside her glare at the girl, and Helena made a mental note to keep a distance to ensure Izzy would stay calm.

In another distant corner of a party, a conversation seemed to end as a dark-haired boy walked away from a white-haired girl, almost as thought they just had a minor argument. Simultaneously, a... talking dog arrived at the party. She'd never known that dogs could talk, but given the school's reputation Helena honestly wasn't surprised.

Sighing softly to herself, Helena couldn't help but wonder what the school year would bring, given what she'd seen of her fellow students so far. All she could hope for was that she'd get to explore the libraries she'd came here for, and that the room she was going to share would be nice.

Gertrude stopped and thought for a second about the offer. Not needing sustenance was great, but she'd never minded trying new things, plus it quite possibly would be rude not to take it. "Thanks. I'm not hungry now, but I'll save it for later." In return, she fished a strange coin out of her pocket, with sigils inscribed on one side. "You can have this. I've put a blessing on it, it'll bring you good luck."

Droxl picked up a small glass cup with his claws and gently tapped
on it with a spoon to bring the attention of the group before starting to speak in his booming shrinking tone "WELCOME STUDENTS I HOPE YOU HAVE HAD THE TIME TO SOCIALIZE AND MAKE FRIENDS. I AM DIRECTOR DROXL AND I WILL NOW NEED YOUR ATTENTION. I BE ASSIGNING YOU TO YOUR DORMS. I MUST SAY THIS IS COMPLETELY RANDOM EXCEPT WHEN THE HEADMISTRESS SAYS IT ISN'T."

He picked up a scroll of paper, squinting his eyes. "DORM GERANIUM ROOM G - B3. MISS FEIER, MISTER REAGAN AND MISTER AUGUST. DORM GERANIUM ROOM G - T1. MISS YON. MISS HELENA. MISS DARIA. DORM CHERRY BLOSSOM ROOM CB6. MISS ALURA. DORM ROSE. ROOM R17. HIS DARK LORDSHIP AJ. HER HOLINESS GERTRUDE."

He took a deep breath. "THESE WERE THOSE WHO HAD THEIR RANDOM ROOMS PERSONALLY PICKED BY THE HEAD OF STAFF. FOR THE OTHERS I WILL NEED TO PICK ON THE SPOT."

Rubbing the underside of his jaw, he started to ponder about how he would do it and how he would separate the students.

"YOU TWO" he pointed at Adara and Leonhard. "YOU TWO ARE FRIENDS. I SAW INTENSE FRIENDLY CONVERSATION. FAMILIARITY ENHANCES THE COMFORT. DORM ROSE. ROOM R2B."

Moving to the side, he looked at the snake and the apple. He nodded in a approval. "I SEE BOTH OF YOU DEAL WITH TRANSFORMATION ISSUES. GOOD FOR BONDING. DORM AZALEA. ROOM A4."

Finally, he noticed the dog. "GOOD BOY. AZALEA ROOM A4 TOO"

He nodded, satisfied with what he had done. "NOW I AND COUNCILOR BET IEL MUST ATTEND TO SOME BUSINESS. THE FESTIVITIES WILL CONTINUE TO THOSE WHO WANT TO STAY. BUT ONCE YOU ARE READY TO MOVE TO THE DORMS PLEASE LOOK AT THE MAP OVER THERE AND GO TO THE ASSIGNED ROOMS."

"I...guess he is? Kind of?" Fei looked over at the brown-haired boy quizzically. She was focused on figuring something else out. She tuned out the conversations going around her and looked at August. Then she looked at the boy named AJ. Yellow hair. Brown hair. Yellow eyes. Green eyes. Taller than her. As tall as her. Human. Human?

Hmm... ah! She gasped. Her eyes lit up and she pointed at AJ. "So that isn't his kid," She exclaimed, looking awfully proud of her new revelation. Her brows furrowed once again and she looked back to Ray. "Wait, but then why'd he get kicked out?" She asked. Feier took a few seconds to think. She herself got expelled for lighting the science wing on fire, Ray's was some portal nonsense... She sighed and looked down. "I'm out of ideas."

A sudden loud noise from the lizardman who called himself Droxl immediately drew her attention, and soon after she heard the words 'Feier, Reagan, and August,' her attention was lost. "Geranium, Room G, B3," she repeated to herself. She raised her head to look at her two roommates. "Do you guys wanna go now? Or," a grin surfaced on her face as she gestured towards Ray, "do you want to say goodbye to your girlfriend before we go?"

"Cool! I hope you like it. These are one of the last I have on me that came from the moon, I think it tastes better! The texture is that soft almost gooey point earth dwellers just can't hit."

Her eyes shone as she was offered a good luck charm, she took it with joy and placed it in her pocked. "I have been needing some good luck, thanks!" she then moved on, continuing to leave, just in time to heart Droxl calling out the names.

She had no idea who the other two were, but if she had good luck they had to be fun people, right? She moved towards the map and looked up, able to see the tower from where they were, it looked cool! Also lots of birds in case she got hungry.

~Mela~

Mela was already eeping and shaking as soon as the leopard had grabbed her (though her hands are so soft, she thought) and the threats didn't make her any more relaxed, the red apple gained a hint of blue over its face.

"N-no! Please don't eat the apple! I uh, am not even tasty really! Plus I bet I can cause heartburn and all other sorts of trouble!"

She smiled once the snake explained snakes didn't eat apple, was she saved? Would she see another day? Her face returned to terror once the snake said she was actually a human.

Thankfully, not one interested in eating her. But still, she seemed to know a lot about transformation, how hard would it be for her to connected the dots? Especially since, if she heard it right, the two of them would share a room together. She would see through her.

"I actually had to study to learn how to transform but... well, I guess I can share this with you, but only you, okay? I am not exactly a human who becomes an apple, but an apple who becomes a human, its why my transformation is so unstable."

She could try to lie and say she was cursed, but that didn't feel like the right step to start a new relationship. She hoped in the depths of her core that this wouldn't make Sarah start treating her like a lesser being.

Helena

Helena listened with interest as the lizardman gave more information about rooms and dorms. She already knew that she was going to share her room with Yon and Daria, but now she also knew where to go. Room G - T1, Geranium Dorm. A quick look around also revealed where the tower was, even without use of a map. Still, the ice mage decided to take a look at the map to figure out how to actually get there, before heading towards the tower itself.

Eventually, Helena makes her way to the bottom of the tower... and frowns. The staircase leading up to the tower was in quite a bad shape. Sighing, the ice mage carefully makes her way to the top, using her ice magic to fix the stairs where needed as she slowly climbs to the top.

Once there, she is met with a sight that is both pretty pretty and pretty frustrating. Their room was a garden, covered in plants. Some of the glass was broken, letting the wind in. So that's what the councillor meant with 'windy'. A quick search around reveals the beds, seperated by nothing more than planters. There was a toilet, fortunately enough, but no bath or shower, though there was water to be found. If she wanted to shower, she'd likely have to go downstairs instead.

Sitting down on one of the beds, however, pleasantly surprised Helena. It wasn't a bad bed! The windyness wouldn't really be a problem for the ice mage, though she wasn't sure about her roommates. The room did need some improvements, but maybe she could get her roommates to help out in fixing up the room.

All in all, the room was a surprise. She was looking forward to seeing how her roommates would react to it, and if they'd be nice people or not. All she could do now was wait for them to arrive!

Alura

Wandering down the halls of the Cherry Blossom dorm was a young mage, her black hair tied up in twintails as she seemed preoccupied with finding a certain room, juding by the fact that she was continuously softly muttering something to herself as she slowed down in front of every door she pased. "CB - 6... CB - 6... CB - 6!" the girl said, as she arrived at said room, grinning as she looked both ways for a moment, making sure she still had everything with her as she opened the door, noiselessly stepping inside.

The room was... quite pleasant! Alura grinned as she figured that her bribe must have worked. Dropping her bookbag on the couch, the mage wandered around the room for a while, exploring the place. The main area had a nice view, with two bedrooms that also had a bit of a view. The third bedroom, meanwhile, was bigger! But it had no view... Alura had been told that she'd have... Roommates... I wonder if they're nice. she thought to herself as she explored the room further.

Bathroom... with a Bathtub. Nice warm water baths... and a mirror! Alura thought as she explored the bathroom, before heading onto the kitchen, inspecting it without showing much interest.

Having now explored the entire room, Alura returns to the couch where she left her bag on. Taking out her book, she laid down on the couch, browsing her spellbook as she laid there facing the door, waiting for the first of her roommates to walk through that door. I hope they arrive soon so I can greet them.

Gertrude nodded solemnly as she got her room assignment. R-17. Got it. She headed out to Dorm Rose, noting the beautiful landscaping. It seemed that some of the rumors about just how low-quality the school was weren't quite true. The stairs were a long climb, but she eventually made her way up. The sounds of footsteps came behind her as she set her meager belongings down. "And you must be AJ. Greetings. I'm Gertrude."

Meanwhile, with a great effort, Sarah managed to turn herself back to human. A redhead in a green dress, she took Mala's apple and started for the Azalea dorms. After all, her poor roommate would have a hard time getting there without legs.

"So, you have transformation issues, too? That's interesting, but you'll get better with practice. Believe me, it can be done." She made her way down into the depths, finally stopping at A4. "Well, here it is. Home sweet... home?"

〜❤ AJ 💙〜

@blackdragon | Gertrude of Wilmette
AJ reached the top of the steps and stopped at the door. The girl introduced herself as Gertrude.

"Nice to meet you. I'm AJ Underfoot. I hope there are, uh, separate rooms within this area. I wouldn't want to make you uncom..." He paused. His mother would surely want him to attempt a seduction. But what if it failed? It would be so awkward, having to live with this girl after a milquetoast attempt at charm. He opted instead for a light flirt. "It's a gift to share a dorm with someone like you." Dammit! He had to compliment her appearance! "Ah, um, by 'someone like you,' I mean like, someone who looks like you! Like, um, how you're absolutely glowing! Like a night light!"

Standing in the halls of Fae Creek, Jackie could finally feel the weight of her decision to come here. I'm gonna be here for months...maybe even years..., she thought to herself. The ceiling beams that reached high into the sky, and arched overhead were extremely intimidating for some reason. Makes me almost wish I had a hole to crawl into...She had been quite late to party, and didn't think it would be appropriate for her to just show up late. She wasn't even dressed well enough to use the "Fashionably Late" excuse, so she decided to just skip the party entirely.

She trudged her way down the halls, looking for her room, and trying desperately to remember where she was supposed to go. She made her way to the room slowly, walking up the stairs. Her wicks were out, only because she knew that it wouldn't exactly be courteous to fill the building with smoke and wax as she walked. She came upon a door, one she knew to be the one to her dorm, and opened it.

She frowned, seeing the room wasn't, in fact, empty. "Oh...there's someone else here already...?" She noted. "I was hoping I would be alone for the first few hours of the day...so no one would have to deal with me."

Alura gently closed her book as she heard someone at the door, a grin making it's way onto the girl's face as she sat up as someone opened the door, watching closely as someone entered the room... and Alura had to admit, this girl was rather... unusual! She reminded the mage of a candle, but she'd never heard of candle persons before, complete with wicks and everything!

"Welcome! Please, do come in!" Alura said excitedly, hopping off the couch to step towards the girl. "Don't worry, I like dealing with people, I'm always down for making friends!" she added, extending a hand towards her.

"My name's Alura, but you can call me Alura. You'll be one of my roommates, right? What's your name?" Alura asked the candle girl, the mage making no attempt to conceal her excitement at meeting one of her roommates. After all, she'd be spending quite some time with this girl, so she wanted to get to know them!

"Also, you look kinda like a candle. Are you a candle? I've never met candle people before..."

Reagan Gideon Breckenridge

“Mm, it’s been a while,” Reagan nodded pleasantly at August. The blonde was apparently flustered at having his conversation interrupted. Actually, Ray was struck with a realization, wasn’t there a claim that his incident was genuinely accidental…? So perhaps their comrade in chaos was a tad uncomfortable to be considered a fellow havoc wreaker, actually. Nonetheless, Ray was certain Fei and he could ease Gus into their company, perhaps even get his willing participation for any of the inevitable shenanigans that were bound to occur at this school on a daily basis.

Feier had been muttering something to herself all the while, and suddenly burst out with the revelation that AJ wasn’t August’s kid. Ray blinked at her, then burst out in laughter. “Ohh…hhh..haaah…he didn’t have a kid, no,” he chuckled. “Pretty sure AJ isn’t young enough for that in any case…” Reagan muttered, narrowing his eyes at the brunette in question. He was about an inch shorter than himself, but it’s not like he was any younger that 14 at the very least…right? Or was he something more like 12…? Ray cocked his head to the side, but didn’t get to confirm AJ’s age, as the Director began announcing people’s dorms and rooms loudly. Droxl’s shouting was so overwhelming, in fact, that it practically drowned out any other conversation.

Besides noting where he was to stay, Ray perked up at hearing that AJ was apparently something akin to a dark lord. He dearly wanted to find out whether that meant what he thought it did, but the boy left before he could ask. Reagan was still pouting at that when Fei managed to catch him by surprise. Again. “W-what?” he spluttered, turning to Fei with a dramatic pose of shocked betrayal, right hand clasped at his heart.

“Fei-er,” he whined, drawing out her name, giving her his best kicked puppy look. Unfortunately, his demonic visage reduced the expression’s cute-factor and therefore its effectiveness. “Such a betrayal!” he gasped theatrically, wiping at non-existent tears. “And here I thought you were my dearest ally,” he shook his head in put-upon sadness. Ray couldn’t keep his obvious and silly act going on any longer however, and turned a wry grin on Fei.

“For real, though, with my luck it’ll be common knowledge by tomorrow that I’m spoken for.” He couldn’t help the following grimace, though it was much milder than Daria’s actual presence would have made it. “And with that, that bloodthirsty savage! He shuddered, very much looking like a dog shaking off its coat after a swim. “Oh well… At least that would annoy the pink cat too,” Ray added, not too convincingly. He waved a hand dismissively, trying to do away with the very thought of the violence-prone Leopardkin. “Let’s just go see where they put us,” he conceded.

Adara

As Adara was walking towards her dorm she was still thinking about the encounter earlier.

"Did I say something wrong?" she mumbled with a confused expression. "No that can't be it, as it is an accurate evaluation of my abilities, and what was he talking about not needing a body to preform any sort of necromancy?" She tried to understand what he meant by that remark.

After thinking on it for a while it left her mad "Impossible, impossible, it's just impossible!. How can you manipulate something dead without there being anything dead?" She just couldn't any make sense of that comment. "He must be ignorant on it. Yeah, that must be it." she concluded

"And what was that about friends? I don't know him, didn't have a pleasant conversation with him and even have to share a room with him." She said whilst looking irritated. "Friends... That's a new one"

"Ah yes, R-2B. Finally found it" she said with a sigh of relief. "the entrance is rather small, i wonder if that guy will fit through" she chuckled as she went through "It's quite cozy, for an attic at least. Only problem is that hellish sound from under me" her opinion of the room quickly went down "guess I'll just continue reading" She said as she sat on the bed and grabbed her book

Jackie sighed rather dejected, "I'm a Candelabra, from Candela. Not like you've heard of it before...we're easy to forget." She told the girl. She debated on reaching out to her to shake her hand, and for once her depressing thoughts weren't enough to stop her from being friendly. "I'm Jackie...I'd try harder to sound happy about introductions, but I'm still thinking about being here."
