Gah, Hawthorne ninja'd me in the IC. I just gotta tweak my post a bit though. lucky lucky.

P.S. I'm stating this as fact for no other reason than it's funny: Adam's name and likeness were used in that action movie totally without his consent or knowledge, and he's 100% ignorant of its existence.

Mars making bank off it though.

P.P.S: the Red Atlas is the name of the military cruiser as well as the name of the anti-piracy taskforce based out of said ship. Because Mars wanted to make propaganda a cartoon out of it, and there was significant confusion about what was supposed to be what.

Always love to see an RP that moves quickly, eh? Also, that's pretty hilarious. I'd imagine the Space Wikipedia must split off into Red Atlas, Red Atlas (Ship), Red Atlas (Movie), Red Atlas (Cartoon), Red Atlas (Video Game), and Red Atlas (Action Figures and Collectibles). Many more to come, with sequels and spinoffs.

As funny as this is, The reentry event happened one to two years before the Pandora's launch... Movies take longer than that start to finish in modern times.

unless I retcon the date on his CS for this joke.

Now I'm imagining a really, really terrible low-budget pulp action film about Red Atlas that was thrown together in a month by a couple of high school students, who managed to finish their film before the Martian Government could.

Mine also can't really fly also.


The Ajax is capable of short bursts of vertical movement via the Talaria Jump Jets, but is otherwise incapable of atmospheric flight- it's too heavy, and the thrusters can't sustain long enough for continual upper movement. Different story in low gravity or Zero-G environments, but still.

Fox's Outrider can sorta fly in atmo, just not for any real extended period of time. Too power intensive. Skimming the ground with repulser tech is far more energy efficient.

Good question, let me clarify. The fact that it exists and was found is not a secret, nor is it a secret that the predecessors to Orbitals were based on what they could figure out. The specifics of the find are still classified, and the artifacts themselves preserved and kept from the public beyond some approved pictures.
