Kiera Donovan

Location: Argo III Top Deck > Cargo Hold
Skills: N/A

"We have sets of armor in the cargo hold, so help yourselves to them to, theres also a few barrels of greek fire to might want to get those set up and be careful with that stuff." Alannah said towards Leda, as she headed back into the wheelhouse to focus on things in there Kiera turned her attention towards Demetri as he came back up asking what the iris message was all about. "The Romans are getting ready for battle and we should be there pretty soon." Kiera decided to answer him, as she looked over towards Leda for a moment and smiled towards her.

"Mind helping getting me fitted into some armor?" Kiera asked winking at her, so far there wasnt any sign of any monsters which was a good thing then. Kiera started to head down the stairs past the crew deck and down into the cargo hold, seeing both Andy and Arthur along with the Gryphon. "Hey Andy and Arthur, you guys should get some armor on soon we should be at the roman camp pretty soon." Kiera said as she walked into the little armory of sorts seeing a few sets of armor in there along with some weapons.

"There should be some bandages up in the infirmary, medical stuff isnt really my forte though just so you know. I'll get them though." Lauryn said as she went and headed up towards the crew deck where the infirmary actually was to grab the bandages that they would need

Madalyne Crane

Location: Camp Jupiter, Madalyne's Villa -> Senate Building
Skills: N/A

Madalyne closed her eyes for a moment and sighed as Waverly made her way into her villa, sometimes she did wish that there was some sort of way to not allow people in without an invitation. Madalyne walked over towards the kitchen and took up a seat at the island in the kitchen letting Waverly brew up the tea. "Well from what I know it's a curse made by Jupiter himself, so i'm pretty sure that the king of the gods wont just willy nilly take it off of me." Madalyne said letting out a slight sigh as she ran a hand through her hair as she accepted the tea and took a sip from it but smiled slightly. "I'm up for trying anything, i'd rather not be a monster honestly." Madalyne said as she realized that she pretty much had abandoned both Niah and Nancy to handle things.

"You should probably report to your cohort the Titans should be on their way now, I need to go see Nancy." Madalyne said as she stood up and gave Waverly a slight smile. "Thank you, and i'll be okay." She said as she went to lead Waverly out of her Villa and locked it up, before making her way back down towards the senate building.

The Second Cohort nodded and quickly would get to work, Niah would find a good place to start setting up a mine field around the Fields of Mars, the largest open field in Camp Jupiter and New Rome where they usually would have their weekly wargames go on. There was also a rather large fort that was ready, and could be used as either a good place for a forward base, or could be set up for a trap as well to.

The Fifth Cohort was already getting things and traps set up within the sewer system, it was pretty small but it would be big enough if an invading armory wanted it could be used to flank the members of the Legion. There were mines and tripwires as well as a few bear traps being set up there to slow the monsters down incase they did go through that way.

Alexandra nodded towards Nancy. "Sure thing boss lady i'll go back to gutting stuffed animals for the two of them." She said giving her a sarcastic salute, Terminus nodded as he quickly disappeared to do his task and recruit some of the reserved and retired members of the legion to help. A few seconds later Madalyne entered the Senate building looking over towards her friend and made her way over towards Nancy. "Sorry I didnt mean to leave you so suddenly to tend to things by yourself." Madalyne said as she made her way over towards the war table that was set up. "Whats the game plan?" She asked.

"Well there is always the volks wagon beetle game, whenever you see one you call out the color and then punch them or something and say punch buggie whatever color it is." Kristin said looking over at Zeke for a moment it was a good little idea and it could give her a reason to actually punch him for fun. Kristin went and drove over to the next lane and continued to drive while listening to the music playing over the radio.

"And have you seen your hands? They always look really nasty and dirty like all the time." Kristin said looking over at Zeke again and smirked at him. "But also the quiet game works pretty well to so I dont have to hear your annoying voice as well to." Kristin was having fun just insulting Zeke she did always found him to be annoying as hell in her own opinion.

Jason Gauger and Marygold Isley

Location: The Flying Boat
Skills: N/A

His attention was drawn away from his own thoughts as they seemed to be talking about tactics or something for a fight. In all honesty he had only been half paying attention to the whole Iris Message that had been taking place between their group and the Romans. Thinking about it, he probably should have been paying some sort of attention to what had been said. Jason glanced over as Demetri came back over and was asking about what the Romans had said, which saved him from having to ask that same sort of question despite being in the area already.

"I mean considering the fact that we are going to have to fight with them, we should probably get used to them ordering us around, or at least trying to," Mary commented to Leda with a slight laugh, "This will be a whole lot of fun though, us going to go fight with the Romans, and hopefully no one will want to strangle each other aside from the guys that we are actually fighting. You know, the stuff that the Romans are worried is going to attack them. So we'll just see how everything goes then. Hope for the best."

"So dey are expectin an attack around de time dat we might be gettin dere. Dat's a little bet o' a coincidence if you ask me," he couldn't help but muse out loud as he listened to what was being said around the group. Leda instantly started asking if there was any sort of armor on board the ship, which made him slightly confused for a moment, but then he realized that she was talking about actual metal armor that would be worn in a fight. That was going to be interesting to say the least.

Mary turned her attention towards the comments about needing to see about finding some armor and getting suited up so that they can be ready for a fight when they get there. She followed along after Kiera as she started heading for the armory, but she couldn't help but roll her eyes slightly at Kiera and Leda still constantly flirting. Could they be anymore obvious then they already were? She almost wanted to make the comment of the pair of them needing to get a room or something at this point, but she figured that she'd probably be ignored if she actually said that.

Janelle Gauger

Location: The Car
Skills: N/A

She listened to the conversations between Kristin and Zeke, just listening and feeling the vibrations from the car as they went down the highway. Of course that was all that she could do, since she couldn't actually look out the window and watch the scenery as it rolled by. Janelle couldn't help but giggle slightly at the two, as Kristin suggested playing a game of sorts and Zeke essentially saying hell no to that and just wanting to sit there in silence. In her opinion, both weren't exactly the best options, but if she was being honest, sitting in silence was always insanely boring to her.

However, she couldn't help but feel a little saddened that the first sort of game Kristin really suggested relied entirely on being able to see things. It wasn't like she'd be able to hear a very specific car rolling down the highway. "If we play a game can it be a game dat all three o' us can play? Sence a game entirely reliant ahn sight... Dat's naht somethin dat I can do..." she said softly, but she wasn't completely against them playing a game by themselves or whatever. She knew that there wasn't a whole lot of games for car rides that she could really do given the fact that she was blind. "And de quiet game gets a bet maddenin to me at times. And usually at least in me experience gets suggested if people are gettin annahyed wit sahmeone else and wants dem to shoeht oehp..."

Location: Maddy's Villa -> Senate House -> The Sewers
Skills: (RR: Singing, Musical Empathy, Guitar)

"I'm sure we can talk to the, um...gods about letting you off the hook. And if they don't, well...then they're dicks. In which case, we'll find a cure ourselves," Waverley chirped as Madalyne began to usher her out of the villa. It was clear that referring to the Roman deities as 'gods' made her uncomfortable, but she recognized her comfort wasn't a priority at the moment. As they stepped out of the building, Waverley tilted her head a little at Maddy's suggestion. "Cohort? Oh, right, my roomies," she commented. Even after spending months at Camp Jupiter, cohort wasn't exactly in her daily vernacular.

Waverley followed Madalyne back up to the Senate House. Part of her wanted to continue soothing the girl, but she also understood that she had a lot going on at the moment, and she'd probably prefer spending her time strategizing for the war to come. Besides, plenty of people threw themselves into work as a coping mechanism, and it wasn't that unhealthy. Waverley quietly followed Madalyne into the Senate House, only to be greeted by the grim, unsmiling faces of Team Toga. She stood awkwardly at the door as Madalyne immediately joined in on the military talk. Waverley found herself awkwardly standing in the entrance of the door listening to the conversation, waiting for a lull in the planning to chime in and ask where she was supposed to go. But when Nancy spoke ill of the Greeks, Waves couldn't help but pipe up. In fact, she tried to stop herself, but the words were out of her mouth before she could.

"Isn't that a little harsh Nance? I mean...we've never even met them," she chirped up from the entrance, before her eyes went wide, suddenly aware of the attention she'd drawn to herself from likely the sternest people in New Rome. She quickly coughed into her hand, beginning to back up. "Defensive line, right. On my way. Have fun, er, planning for war and stuff. Break a leg," she quickly said, before vamoosing out the door, and setting off to join her cohort.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship > Cargo Hold
Skills:

Demetri wasn't one to be overjoyed by the idea of combat, but at this point in time it was something to take his mind off of Zeke. Perhaps he would find some hot Roman guy in battle, have a little fling with him and go on his merry way after the dust had settled and the two camps had no longer needed each other. But still, he gave his best plainfaced sarcastic reply with the hint of excitement hiding behind his words. "Oh joy! Another battle and this time we can at least prepare for it. Leda, mind giving me the debts on what it is we will be fighting while we armor up? Oh, or Kiera, either one since you two seemed to be in the whole call." He gave them both a cheeky smile and made his way down into the Cargo Hold where the gear was set. Demi wasn't sure what he expected but he supposed it was better gear than what they typically wore at camp. Something a bit more...modern? But this would do just fine he figured.

Demetri walked up towards one of the sets of Armor, holding it up to his body and shifting up a size slightly. "No" He placed the set back and walked up to another that was his usual size, shaking his head again as he went up to a larger more muscular and toned looking size. Perfect, this should help make a few heads turn. He shifted once more, gaining golden locks of hair, allowing for his brown eyes to take a more mature tone as his skin gained some color to it with a lovely golden hue. He hadn't caught the irony of it, but his figure looked much like a depiction of Apollo, Zeke's father. Demi tried his best to place on the armor, missing some straps here and there as he finished up and gave it a slow turn. "Well? How do I look? Pretty good huh? Though I think I'll need some help strapping in. Think I might skip thr helmet, show off this curly tufts. That and I'm not sure how well it'll stay on so best not to blind myself ya know?"

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: New Rome: Senate House
Skills: N/A

"What? Oh, yeah. It'll be very," she promised Niah, before returning to studying the maps in front of her. She wished that she had military advisers to work with her - typically her fellow praetor would have been there for her to bounce ideas off of.

Nancy glanced up, a bit surprised to hear Madalyne's voice. She had figured her friend would need a lot of time to herself to sort everything out, but she smiled, grateful she was here. Her intuition told her that Mads would want to proceed with business as usual, so as much as Nancy wanted to fret and fuss over her, she didn't. "The Fifth's making a defensive line, Fourth and Third are working on siege weapons, First and Second are setting traps within New Rome. Evacuations are underway, we're going to have a medical tent nearby, we're using the Senate House as the war room. Terminus is going to see if there are any ex-legionnaires who want to help in the struggle, and Alexandra is making sacrifices to the gods," Nancy summarized for Madalyne as efficiently as she could. It hadn't been that long since Mads went off to take a minute, but a lot of decisions had already been made.

She then gestured at the maps in front of her. "These are my ideas for tactical positions. The Fifth will hold the sewers. First and Second defend Camp. Third and Fourth guard New Rome. The Greeks can go with the Fifth - or cause trouble on their own, I don't really expect much from them," she explained. "I was going to call the centurions here for a meeting to relay this information to them once construction has finished - ideally with some tactics added beyond just locations." She pursed her lips slightly, looking at Mads. "Sorry, I know it's a lot. I've got this, if you need time."

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: the Ship - Top Deck -> Cargo Hold
Skills: N/A

"We have very different definitions of very soon, luv," Leda teased. She couldn't help herself. They would arrive in New Rome this evening, but she imagined it would still be cutting it close - there had been a large possibility before that they wouldn't even get there until the next morning. Maybe Kiera would be right though, if Lauryn and all could work some magic on the engines and really push the ship, but Leda doubted it. Everything moved too slow for her liking.

She giggled slightly though as Kiera asked for help into the armor, trying to make it sexy. They had played Capture the Flag - Kiera ought to have known that there wasn't anything sexy about Greek armor. It was clunky, old, and smelled like gym socks. The designs were unimaginative too - Leda would have preferred things with more bursts of color, like Sabine's armor in Rebels or something. She started giggling even harder though when they got to the makeshift armory and Demetri decided to turn into an Apollo wannabe. "You don't look at all like your self, luv. Which I s'pose may or may not be a good thing," she said with a smirk, before looking through the armor and finding some that looked like it would fit Kiera. "Here, Kiera, try this."

Once they were safe back in the Fifth Cohort's barracks Marco headed over to where his bed was and opened the nice sized cage that was Milo's home. He gently tipped the little sugar glider out of the papoose and into his cage, and watched as Milo climbed right up into his little hammock and fell asleep again. Marco did take that moment to make sure that Milo also had fresh water and food before he turned to look at Em and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry I'm falling to bits in front of you now love... I'm sorry I'm like this some times. I... I wish I could do more..." He muttered a bit into her hair and sighed softly. "I know we need to get ready, I know that, but can I please have this moment with you before everyone else comes back and we're needed?" He gently planted a small kiss on her forehead as he waited for her answer. He just needed some time... then he could get ready to fight.

Ezekiel Kel

Location: Car - On The Road Again -- New Orleans, Louisiana
Skills:

”My hands are far cleaner than yours. Just because I’m a boy doesn’t mean my hands are constantly dirty. I don’t like spreading disease you know,” Ezekiel said, feeling rather affronted. He looked back at Janelle when she spoke and looked at Kristin. ”Ya Kristin, stop being so insensitive. Oh! I know, we could play the radio game. I can flip through the radio stations and first one to guess the song and artist wins.” It seemed like it would be a good game for all of them. Ezekiel liked music but he didn’t listen to everything all the time, like the top forty and it would be a game Janelle could easily play if she were okay with the idea.
If they had to pass the time, that seemed more interesting to Ezekiel, although he still didn’t mind playing the quiet game. It would give him time to try and settle his nerves and feign bravery. If he was being honest, he was getting nervous the closer they got to Texas. It was all fun and games to act tough in front of the bad guys' lackeys but Echinda was one person Ezekiel had no one to compare to. Finding the Muse for his dad was nothing compared to Echinda was and what she controlled.

Kiera Donovan & Madalyne Crane

Location: Fields of Mars
Skills: N/A

By the time the Argo III entered the area just outside of New Rome the sun itself had just set, the landing pad of sorts had just been finished construction for the Greeks, Lauryn and Alannah both had gotten their armor on as well. "Well this should be a whole lot of fun." Lauryn said jokingly as she rolled down the climbing ladder, everyone would have gotten the call to depart once they had landed. Kiera had adjusted the bulky looking greek armor that she was wearing it.

But it did fit her rather well but she still felt that it was a bit to bulky for her which she wasnt used to. Kiera looked towards Leda and gave her a smile and leaned in to give her a kiss on the cheek before following shortly behind Alannah and Lauryn once they were on the ground they were greeted with a group of Romans already. Kiera recongized the two of them as the two Praetors from earlier in the day.

Madalyne stood next to the Centurions from all five cohorts who were there, she eyed the rather large greek ship that had just touched down, looking over towards Nancy who she wanted there to greet the Greeks as well. She was of course still worried about the bite that she had received earlier, but right now they needed to focus on the battle was right in front of them right now. She looked at Nancy for a moment and gave her friend a reassuring smile to let her know that she was okay right now.

"Welcome to New Rome, i'm Madalyne Crane one of the leaders here and this is Nancy Parker." Madalyne said looking at the group of Greeks who had climbed out of the ship, she was hoping for more of them at least to help with the battle that was soon to come. "I wish it was under better circumstances, if you would follow us to the Senate Building and we can debrief you all there?" Madalyne asked, she had been getting reports every few minutes on the status for the defense of the city, everything so far was in good order so far.

In the sewers most of the Fifth Cohort were kind of getting annoyed with the music that Waverly was playing as they all were busy with working on building the defense down there. The sewers were rather extensive as they led to every important part of the city, in case someone tried to infiltrate the city then the enemy would be surprised to have it defended. Both of the Centurions of the Fifth Cohort were topside right now for the meeting with the Greeks. One of the more senior legionnaires had taken charge in the meantime overlooking the construction of traps and barricades. Though the older legionnaire gave Waverly a bit of an annoyed look at the music crossing his arms over his chest giving her a stern look.

The next few hours werent to bad they ended up having to make a quick stop to refuel before the car ended up dying in a parking lot just outside of a walmart. Kristin wasnt sure how to fix the car sadly as she got up and tossed the car keys into the driver seat of the car and closed the door. "Well it looks like we are on foot from here." Kristin said as she made sure that the car was locked once everyone was out and looked at both Zeke and Janelle. She closed her eyes for a moment trying to remember the dream that they all had she did remember seeing the Houston Space Center logo in it.

"We shouldnt be to far, we just need to make our way over to the Space Center from our dream." Kristin from what she knew that would be where Echidna was right now, she looked at Zeke and Janelle. "So you guys got any money left on you or anything? I used mine for the gas a few miles back." Kristin asked hoping that they had the money otherwise it would be a rather long walk to where they needed to go.

Andy smiled at Arthur. "I like Griff." She set about the task of cleaning and caring for the wound on Griff. She smiled while working on it. Griff was cool. She spent the rest of the travel time with Griff and Arthur. Though she dug up some armor that fit her.

Finally, they were at the Roman camp. She stood nervously with the other Greeks at the Romans. She had no idea what to expect out of them, but they definitely seemed more...put together. Like an actual military unit. It was impressive. Her eyes went wide as the older girl introduced herself as Madalyne Crane. That was the name Hecate had told her. She wanted to run up and ask Madalyne right now to help her, but she kept herself with the others.

"Arthur, I have to talk to her. Crane is the name Hecate said to me." She bit her lip looking at Arthur feeling bad about bringing up Hecate.

"It is okay Marco. I'll always be by your side." She said hugging him back tightly. Em was glad they were back at camp and they had a working plan. Nancy and Madalyne were good at their job. They had a good plan.

Em was gross. The sewers were gross. She pinched the bridge of her nose as Waverly tried to start up a song. It wasn't a bad idea...it just wasn't the right time. She wasn't going to try to explain why that was. She had put out enough trying to fix-it energy into the day. It had backfired enough over the day.

Location: New Rome: Field of Mars

Niah was happy with where she had planned the traps, and of what types of traps. She joined Nancy and Mads at the Field of Mars just after sundown. She looked at the ship as it landed, it was impressive and she could understand why so many stories were passed about the Argo. It might be a recreation, but still neat. And it flew. Her stomach twisted about that idea a bit. Even after all this time flying got to her. Never was the heights...just not knowing how it was working.

She smiled at the group of Greeks. At least they were wearing armor and looked like a military group. That was surprising. She had expected them to show up in orange t-shirts looking disheveled. Some of them even had weapons, maybe the others weapons were hidden like hers. She took in the group standing before her. Hopefully, together they could stop the Titans.

Arthur Stanford

Arthur smiled back at Andy. Griff was a good name, and hopefully not something that would get the ancient beast upset. He didn't make a move to try to pet it over the time that they spent down there, but he did keep himself around it. After being snapped at, he certainly didn't feel like risking any lost fingers. It was pretty, in its own way, and still kind of unreal to look at. Meanwhile, he was mostly quiet, taking this time left on the ship as a moment to recover himself. He didn't know what he was gonna find at Camp Jupiter, but he hoped it was something close to a safe haven.

He did take a little bit of time to get himself something to wear, sliding on some armor just as the ship landed. He followed after Andy, and looked upon the greeting party. He wasn't about to say something until he knew more about the group, not wanting to upset relations between the two camps. Andy however, seemed to have to, and he shirked back at the name that passed through her lips. He nodded at her mutely, knowing she had to do whatever she was asked. He didn't know what that was about, honestly unable to remember much of the events surrounding the trauma from earlier.

Ezekiel was rather impressed with how easy it had been to get to Texas. Perhaps the gods were shining their favour down on them for once. It made him wonder how the others were fairing. Ezekiel got out of the car and stretched out, yawning as he did so. He looked up at the sun and smirked. ”I’ll try to get you a Texas steak,” he told the sun before looking at his two travel companions.
Ezekiel fished out his wallet from his back and pulled out a ten that was left over from the food he got in Washington. ”Maybe we can get on a city bus or something?” Ezekiel wanted to get to their location quickly but he was also hesitant as well. A lot was riding on the three of them being successful here. Like all of Camp New Rome and Half-Blood.

As the other members of Cohort Five set out to work, Waverley, instead of trying to put together traps and protective measures she didn't know anything about, began to strum away at her guitar. Not because of laziness or whatever the expressions on her sour-faced fellow fivers might've thought the reason might be, but simply because that had always been what she did when it came time to work. Back with her troupe of miscreants, whenever they set out to move onto a new place, she'd play music for a majority of the hike, inspiring her friends. The people of New Rome, her cohort especially at the moment, didn't seem as easily inspired, even after she retuned her guitar. Still, she tried, right up to the point that Em, her only real lifeline in the God-forsaken anxiety pit that was New Rome, joined in their acts of annoyance, squeezing her nose between her fingers. Waverley's teeth dug deep into her bottom lip as her fingers stopped playing. She could feel her stomach start to churn with anxiety, partially caused by the fact that a battle was brewing and her only talent wasn't working, but also because of the judging eyes that pierced her soul. Luckily the pain of her biting her lip pulled her mind away from the sensation.

"Tough crowd," she mumbled as she let out a sigh, shifting to lean her shoulder against the grimy wall of the sewers. "Remind me why exactly we aren't we just...leaving? I've stayed in some pretty nice shipping containers in my day, but even I know to leave before train security finds me," there was a certain amount of whimsy as she said it, a smirk stretched across her lips, before they straightened out. "I mean, I know this place means a lot to a lot of people, but at the end of a day, a bed is a bed. It's not nearly as valuable as human lives. Especially the lives of...kids," Waverley lowered her voice at that last word, her eyes fritting to the youngest among their cohort, hammering away at their stations.

Demetri Rowan Howell

Location: Ship > Cargo Hold
Skills:

Demetri wasn't exactly sure how to take what Leda said. She wasn't wrong, he did look different than his usual self, but that was neither a compliment nor an insult just a commentary on the obvious. Ofcourse, as soon as her attention shifted back to Kiera it clicked in his head that not only was he barking up the wrong tree, he was also interrupting what bit of alone time those two love birds had planned. Without so much as saying another word Demi slipped out of the room and made his way towards the upper decks to finish getting strapped in and ready. He wasnt exactly sure how this would all go down, nor was he even certain as to why they were fighting in this battle, but as he thought on it his mind drifted to all those they've lost and his pensive smile turned into a darkened scowl. Right, he fought to keep those he loved alive, not to give himself any betterment.

The ship touched down and the call to disembark rattled him out of his mind and back onto the field. It was odd seeing the welcome from New Rome in comparison to what he had received back at Camp Half-Blood. Their stances were ridged, and feet locked in tight. Even their faces showed very little as he watched them from above. Those surrounding the two women seemed to be some form of infantry, or security, while the two before them had critical eyes as they awaited their decent. The differences were staggering and Demi wondered if they ever could get along for more than just aid. Nevertheless he brushed it all away and made his way down the ladder, listening as they asked them to follow behind to gather more intel from some fancy place. "Pleasure to meet you both, Demetri Howell. If its all the same to you, do you mind if I'm escorted towards your soldiers, legions, I'm not sure what you call em, but if I could help in setting up defenses or anything of that line...I'm not much great with standing around and listening."

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️ and 🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Fields of Mars
Skills: N/A

Nancy didn't have a good feeling about the battle that was ahead of them. They had done everything they could to prepare - all of their troops were in position and the last few bits of construction were nearing completion. She was certain that Alexandra had to have done those sacrifices by now as well. There wasn't anything else they could do. It was the setting sun that felt so incredibly ominous to her. As much as she loved her Aunt Diana, she was a child of the sun god. And with darkness settling in, their visibility would be poor, making any battles harder for the demigods to fight. The final bad omen? The Greeks had arrived in their ship, an unsettling reminder of the last Greek-Roman Civil War. The only lucky break they had so far was that it wasn't a full moon.

She took in the ensemble of Greeks, raising an eyebrow. They looked more or less as she expected. The orange t-shirts peaked out from underneath Greek armor. A few of them looked even younger than the typical probatio. The one called Demetri bore a striking resemblance to her father. A wicked idea crossed her mind though as he asked to go and help, rather than joining them for a debriefing. There was one centurion present that she did not want to have to be around right now, and Demetri gave her the perfect opportunity to get rid of her. "Leandra, would you escort Demetri to the Fifth Cohort? They could probably use the help with construction." If Fortuna was with them, Leandra would slip and fall in the sewers. It would be so very.

Leda, meanwhile, was itching for something to happen. She could practically smell the tension in the air. The Romans were always so serious and brooding, so it made the lead up to a battle feel even more intense. At Camp Half-blood, they tended to be a lot more casual and fluid when it came to things. They didn't organize into military units or whatever it was that they did here in New Rome. They certainly didn't have anything as fancy as a Senate House - they had a game room in the Big House that Leda was pretty sure the counselors used for meetings with Mr. D., although she had never been herself. Still though, the Romans did provide amazing drama.

"I think the Fifth Cohort or whatever has to be doing something gross, luv," she whispered conspiratorially to Kiera. They had watched the Housewives of New Rome earlier via the Iris Message. There had to be more to this than what they were just saying. Leda fidgeted slightly, adjusting one of the straps of her armor. Hopefully the debriefing wouldn't really take too long. She didn't feel like sitting through a powerpoint presentation. All they needed to know was who they were fighting and how to kill them, that was it. Anything else was just extra pomp.

Jason Gauger and Marygold Isley

Location: Fields of Mars

Mary was half wondering if anyone would think anything of it if she literally shoved Demetri off of the ship while they were still in the air. Of course she wouldn't mind it, since the guy was clearly an idiot and wondered if he was going to get killed by a god or something because of who he shapeshifted to look like. The guy really needed to just stop already, since she understood that shapeshifting was fun at times, but considering the fact that there was a chance that they were going to die during this, and his shapeshifting antics weren't adding anything to the current situation aside from having him look like an idiot, there wasn't any point to it.

Jason's mind was wandering as everyone more or less got suited up in some armor, which honestly was a bit bulky and made him wonder if they couldn't have come up with something better aside from it, and he wondered what was going to happen when they reached the Romans. Of course he was still getting weirded out by the fact that there were both Roman and Greek demigods and whatnot, none of that made any sense to him, but eh, next you'd be telling him that there were a whole lot of other gods that really existed from other groups and cultures.

Once they landed, Mary got off of the flying boat (and happily got down to the ground since she didn't care too much for the flying ship, which she was never going to say out loud) and glanced to see who it was that they were greeted by. One of the group instantly introduced herself as Madalyne Crane and introduced someone else nearby named Nancy. Then her attention was drawn away from the two leaders to Demetri the Idiot. Seriously he tries to be serious but no one could take him seriously when he looked like that. She was glad that one of the leaders instantly suggested another person lead him away. That way they could be without his stupidity and maybe learn the full scope of what was going on.

He was somewhat glad to get off of the flying boat, and down on solid ground. There was the whole Demetri trying to look weird or whatever it was that he was trying to do, but he thought nothing of it and had gotten used to it at this point. Listening, he nodded his head slightly at what it was that the people who had shown up to talk to them were saying. Figuring that at the moment it was best to be quiet until he knew what the plan was. He was still new to this entire thing, so he wasn't too sure what to think about everything, and was kind of confused.

"Well if de car is brahken it can't be 'elped," she commented softly to Kristin and Zeke before she got out of the car herself, holding her can with her as she pulled her own wallet out of her pocket and held up $20 that she had kept there. "I 'ave twenty dahllars dat we cooehld use if we need to." Typically she wasn't dumb, she knew that keeping cash in her pocket typically was rather important in case of an emergency. It was somewhat useful for them at this point she supposed, since it did give them some spending money.

Zeke's comment about maybe finding a bus or something that they could use as transportation was fine with her, at least that was her opinion on the subject. They'd need to pay attention to their surroundings though, since they were going to end up in public or something like that, so who knew when monsters would pop up. "A bus is fine wit me, naht sure what Kristin dinks," she finally responded, turning her head towards the direction of their voices, saying nothing else.

Marco could feel the headache starting to brew when Waverley started to sing. It wasn't entirely her fault, it was just that this was the wrong time to try to use her music to inspire others, and the acoustics in the sewers were not the most... friendly. Then Waverly started to speak and he could tell that some of the others were starting to waver, but he looked over at Em and with a nod, he decided to do something that would be helpful.

"We protect this place because it is our home. New Rome has stood for well over one hundred and fifty years, and you forget Waverly... these are not just children. We are all soldiers of the legions of New Rome. We are all demi-gods or legacies of the great heroes and gods of old and new, and we can do this. We can stand firm against the Titans... we have before, and we will again! Remember the Great War! We took down titans on Mount Tam and here they are foolishly bringing the fight to us! We are children of Rome! Are you with me!" He grinned as he looked around at the rest of his cohort and then to the building they were doing.

"Let us fix on the task at hand for now."

Kiera Donovan & Madalyne Crane

Location: Fields of Mars -> Senate House
Skills: N/A

Madalyne turned to look at Demetri for a moment and raised an eyebrow towards him asking to help out with setting up the defenses, he technically wasnt under her command nor any of the other Greeks either. She smirked when Nancy suggested Leandra to lead Demetri to help out and turned to face her. "Leandra here can debrief you, she's one of the Centurions of the Fifth Cohort." Madalyne turned to look at Leandra. "If you don't mind showing him where they are right now that would be great." Madalyne said as she motioned for everyone to follow her towards the Senate Building.

Kiera looked at her girlfriend and laughed slightly and nodded she had a feeling that this Fifth Cohort had the shittiest jobs in New Rome in her opinion. "I bet they are digging up pits for latrines or something." She whispered back to Leda, as she started to follow shortly behind Madalyne and the other members of Camp Jupiter.

Madalyne entered the senate building seeing Alexandra was there sitting in one of the empty senator chairs she turned to look at the group who was there and stood up she was wearing armor now as well to which was surprising since she rarely ever left the Augury. "I did the offerings to Bellona, and Mars hopefully they will help out." Alexandra said Madalyne nodded as she looked towards the other Centurions who were there. "You may return to your cohorts and help with whats left of the construction, Niah though if you want you are welcome to stay and help with the debriefing. If you dont mind starting the briefing Nancy?" Madalyne asked, she had done most of the formalities and she had her time to herself while Nancy took over, and thought that it would be better that she did it as well.

Kiera looked around the building it kind of reminded her a bit of the senate floor in DC from the times she briefly watched the news, she remained fairly quiet but stood next to Leda and the others. The Romans did seem to be really uptight as Kiera listened to Madalyne speaking, though it did seem that they had their stuff put together pretty well.

The Fifth Cohort seemed to lighten up rather quickly at Macro's words as his charmspeak easily took hold on everyone including Waverly and they all started to cheer. And they started to quickly get back to work building up barricades and setting up the last few remaining traps rather quickly. However Waverly, Marco and Emily would start to feel the ground shaking slightly in the distance if any of them went to investigate the shaking. They would be able to find a small hole in the wall but it was way to dark for anyone of them to see what it would be.

"A bus works for me." Kristin said as she watch both Zeke and Janelle pulling out their money, she was glad that they had some money at least which was good. "Lets get on a bus then." Kristin said as she turned around and started to walk down the parking lot, she then spotted a bus stop which made her relax somewhat. She didnt want to have to steal another car again which made her feel somewhat guilty but they didnt really have much of a choice.

She sat down and stretched out slightly she looked over towards the bus schedule that was posted and eyed the bus route that they needed to take to get to the Houston Space Center. They would have to wait a couple of minutes for the next bus to come and turned to look at Zeke and Janelle. "We have a few minutes the next bus should come by shortly." Kristin said to them.

Andy was a little torn. She wanted to go with her brother, but she wanted to speak with Crane. She also wanted to know what they were facing. She didn't know if she could provide anything for the debriefing. Andy glanced at Arthur, she could see he was upset about her saying Hecate's name and she felt even more guilty than she had. Andy promised herself she wouldn't bring it up in front of him again. It was too painful of memory that meeting for his sake she wouldn't be the one to remind him of it. How many of his classmates remained? She wondered. It was just him and Kiera left, wasn't it?

Entering the senate-house Andy's eyes went wide. There was no stopping it. She had only seen places like this in courthouses, which she didn't have fond memories of. Courthouses were places where people decided for you where you would be going. It was so different from the camp she had come from. If she had come here first she probably would have run away the first night, not that she hadn't considered it with the way Zeus cabin was at camp anyway. But then it had become home when her brother joined her.

She shivered thinking of the tiny alcove with the sleeping bag and the pictures of children who were long grown up. Her half-siblings she'd probably never meet. How many half-siblings lived? She stopped herself. Trying to stop being morbid. Maybe it was because of the lurking battle? Andy couldn't bring herself to ask a question, to get the Roman's to start talking and telling them what they knew.

Emily smiled and cheered with the others. She had felt the magic in Marco's words, they weren't directed at her though. They were directed at those less sure in their hearts. This place accepted all the soldiers, but that's what they were soldiers. Children of gods and the children of their children. They had power in their blood and souls. Bringing the war to them where they could prepare, where they had practiced their battles for years had been a bad choice.

When the earth trembled for a moment Em wondered if someone had let Hannible lose. But it wasn't right, it wasn't even a proper earthquake. Something she had experience with since she had lived at camp for five years now, that sixth line on her tattoo was just around the corner. She wasn't going to leave those ranks without having protected them.

Investigating the strange hole didn't give her any information but she passed the message to their highest-ranking member that was with them. It was up to them to pass it to the senate. "Anyone have a light? Or Waverly, can you make some light with your magic?" She asked the group. Hoping one of them had something to help investigate the hole.

Niah couldn't help but smirk at Mads and Nancy having Leandra take the weird vain seeming kid to help the fifth cohort. It was Leandra's cohort so it made sense and there couldn't be any arguing. Not now, not here, and please not in front of the Greeks. War was descending upon them and trying to cause dissension right would only lead to a worse fate.

"I don't mind staying." Niah said. Joining them in the Senate house. She trusted her cohort to do the tasks set before them. They were a well-trained group after all. She followed Mads and Nancy into the Senate. The Greeks following them. Gods there were some young ones among them. There was the girl who looked like she was ten at the most. She was small and malnutritioned. Did the Greeks have no one better to offer?

"Salt Lake City's been around for just as long, doesn't mean it's worth dying for..." Waverley grumbled to herself, not loud enough to reach the ears of someone who wasn't making an effort to listen. Still, despite herself, she could feel some of her anxiety and fear of the coming battle melt away, leaving only the normal anxiety she felt from the eyes occasionally cast on her by her cohort and the feeling of inadequacy caused by the fact that she hadn't been able to do what Marco had just done. Curiosity was also added to the mix when she and her friends felt a light tremor in the ground.

"Did you guys feel that?" she asked, her question quickly answered by Em slowly making her way towards where it seemed to be coming from. When they eventually got there, they found a small whole, barely big enough to squeeze through. Waves tensed up when Em asked her to do her magic, nervously gulping down the lump in her throat. "Uh, I think my music's kinda on the fritz...but I've got this," she said, pulling out her battered phone and holding it up. With a flick of her finger, her flashlight was on, shining into an ominous and ancient looking corridor.

"I'm no architect, but it kinda looks like it's got, like, ancient Greek or Roman vibes," she called back, shuffling closer to it. "I guess we should probably get some traps set up in here, considering we don't know where it leads." Without a second thought, Waverley made herself as small as she could and squeezed herself through the hole to the other side. The anxiety that was left was of the social variety, so she was more prepared to face the dark than the disparaging gazes of her peers. After a few steps in, however, she noticed that she was alone, without Em or Marco following. She turned around to pop her head out of the hole, but when she attempted to do so, she felt her forehead bonk on some wall she couldn't see.

"Ow...what the fuck?" she mumbled as she felt the impact. She reached out her free hand, pawing at the strange, invisible barrier that separated her from her friends. Her heart rate began to increase, and her breathing began to accelerate as her pawing turned to pounding. She did her best to strum away at her guitar strings. She felt herself calm down as she felt her magic seep into her strings, sending her wish out to the universe. After a few seconds, she reached her hand out once more...only to feel the barrier once more. Within an instant, her fear was back. Her whole body was shaky, breath included, as she pulled her guitar off from over her shoulder, frustratedly throwing it to the ground. "Seriously, what the fuck?! God, why's everything here so fucking weird. Why couldn't I have ended up in Hogwarts, or the fucking X-Mansion. Or why couldn't I at least get superpowers that were fucking reliable," she began to rant, turning towards the darkness and pressing her back against the barrier, holding her flashlight out into the darkness.

Arthur Stanford

Location:Fields of Mars -> Senate Hall
Skills: N/A

Arthur followed the group to the Senate hall, taking a look around at they walked in. This was much more his speed, the greek camp was just... not his kind of place. It might be because of the things he'd experienced there, or just that they were cut from a different cloth than he was, but he just felt more at home here. Especially since this was a place one could comfortably grow old at. He was a kid, sure, but he didn't want to stay a kid forever, he wanted to become something more than that someday, and this seemed like the kind of place where that could happen.

He still stayed quiet. The reminder of Hecate stung him, and it would take him a few more moments before he felt like socializing again. That wound was still wide open, and it hurt to think about too much. A part of him wanted revenge, but seeking revenge against the gods themselves seemed to be the textbook definition of hubris. To go against them was to court death, and while his father had domain there, he knew he would stand no chance against them. If he was given the chance to do something against them now, he would, but he knew he couldn't actively seek it out.
