To help our characters interact more often, we (on discord) were considering having our characters join a club together. Would everyone please weigh in their opinions? Club joining is not mandatory.(There will be events to help move along the story.)

A lot of our characters are nerdy or artistic, so here are some ideas for School Clubs:
Open Mic/Coffee House: Perform on stage, and/or view spectate. Free drinks, food for purchase. Performances includes singing, dancing, rapping, poetry or book reads, lectures, Ted talks, comedy, etc.
Game Club: Could includes all types of games, like video games, board games, larping, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. Or we could choose a club based on a specific type of game.
Anime Club: Anime shows and Manda
Book Club
Study Group

Or we could form some kind of activist group/club.

Or we could have a place where our characters go frequently, but are not specifically part of a club.
The Warren
The Wolfpack
The gym
The library

My character, Melanie, would join any of the clubs I listed, join an activist group, or go to the gym, but would not go to night clubs often.

Corrie is currently in one club (to be revealed in my next post). I doubt she is in any other clubs or gets out much, as that's kinda central to her character concept. But she might be willing to join any club (or maybe sports team) as a new member if she decides to put more emphasis on her social goals.

Corrie could also spend a lot of time in the library and join study groups to show off.

Also I have Lobelia on the student council if we want to do that for the club/activity maybe the others can join to or already be apart of it

Perfection Birb would not like to do either of those things, but I could force it on her if a bunch of other people want to.

Now that I think about it, forming a new activism group could be a good way to go. We were already expecting to have some sort of -ism related violence as a plot point. Maybe the first notable act of terrorism could spur a group of otherwise unrelated students (us) to start a new diversity/social justice club? And then the bad guys would have a good reason to mess with our particular characters.

@BizarreLolli My character Melanie would be interested in stuff like decorating and baking for the carnival. =)

@Zanavy I agree, an activist group would be a great way to add drama and conflict to the roleplay. =)

I like the idea of the student council and the idea of an equalist/activist group. Do you guys like the idea of that Elite club that Gracie got invited to or should I scrap it? I can make a couple of NPCs for it and if you guys like we can make it a bit more three dimensional.

We were also talking in the discord about a timeskip soon to get things going, when would everyone be chill with that?

I could get Corrie to the Warren if we plan on meeting there. If it's close to the Wolf Pack, then each character could choose which club they want to be at when -something important- happens.

@IronPhinx The Elite group could be great as an antagonist group, and I'll probably play around with a few NPC characters. =)

As for the timeskip, the main purpose is to keep up with seasons and holidays, and to allow classes to start and end and new freshmen to introduced. I'll be trying to recruit some new RPers, but I can't guarantee results.

Oh, you have a time-skip of weeks planned? That would be a big adjustment.

Also, the Elite is fine, and I might have an NPC to contribute as well.

Will work on getting a post up either tomorrow or Sunday. Don't know exactly what club Zaina would join but will think of something or other.

@Zanavy It's not a requirement but I was considering it. We are lagging behind plot and time-wise. We can just keep going with the winter end of the fall semester if that's what everybody wants. =)

@Argetlam350 Don't force it if you don't want her to join. We can always find ways to run into each other.
