Powers: Mrs. K can stop time for eleven seconds. Only she can move when time is stopped. If she stops time for only two seconds, she still has nine seconds left to use. It takes two seconds to restore the two seconds she used. If she used all eleven seconds at once, then one second later, she could stop time for another second.

While she can do it on command, it is also something of a reflex. It can happen automatically, like flinching.

Description: Alexandra Kosmos is a strikingly beautiful woman reaching middle age. She has warm brown skin and long, dark brown hair, and piercing brown eyes. Her hair is usually tied up into a ponytail, with some bangs on the right side of her face. She's about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with an athletic but slender body.

She has an interesting sense of fashion. Casual, formal, but certainly unusual. Long coats, skirts, thigh high boots. She sometimes wears chokers, but she's always seen with a necklace. A simple quartz crystal of apparently sentimental value.

Personality: An amiable and well put together person. Mrs. K is very approachable, yet authoritative. She has a good-natured humor about her and doesn't like to put people down or intimidate people. She comes off as imminently trust-worthy, because she is. Unlike many people in the world of villainy, Alexandra is a genuine person. What you see is pretty much what you get.

She's also compassionate. She cares for the students and staff of Lanius, and wants to help them succeed. Her goal is to do good. To help the less stable become more stable. The genocidal maniacs? Perhaps all they need is someone to give them a hug. Then, they can just be regular serial killers. She doesn't really care about doing evil. Though she has her reasons to dislike the status quo. She just wants people to be happy. The people she meets would still do what they were doing no matter what she did- but if she can help just a little then maybe they can find the life they truly deserve. She believes villainy should be rational and fair. If not, then she will just try to minimize the damage. A lot of these kids just lack a positive parental figure. And if she's being honest, a lot of her fellow teachers...aren't exactly that.

Really, Alexandra is just suspiciously normal. She absolutely would not be out of place at a regular school, or even a heroic school.

Maybe Alexandra is a little crazy. She's a thrillseeker and curious about the pyschology of others. About what makes the human mind tick. Everyone is just the most complex rubix cube in the world. She's fascinated by the idea that the right 'mouth-sounds' can carry enough weight to change the course of someone's life forever. And of course she's unfazed by gore and death, and totally willing to take a human life herself. Though she generally isn't a fan of violence or even using her powers- instead preferring to solve her problems diplomatically.

Mrs. K is interested in doing good- in helping people. Those people just happen to be what most people would call "evil." So she works for the good of evil. Makes sense, right? Having spent a lifetime around villains ranging from the terrifying to the whacky, Alexandra has seen it all. Little disturbs her- just another day at the office.

Crush: Oh, how could she not have a crush on David Wright? She's married to him.

Suavity: Alexandra loves learning about people's pysche. She can be the most deviously manipulative person at Lanius- if she wants to be, which she doesn't. However this skillset does come in handy as she has a Grade A...

Bullshit Detector: Little gets past Alexandra. She can usually tell when a person is lying.

Lethal: Alexandra is a powerful martial artist, able to kill with well placed blows. She's more than capable of defending herself while unarmed.

Athletic: To compound on this, she is fast, agile, and well co-ordinated.

Markswoman: She is an expert shot.

Contingency Plans: Mrs. K is quite clever when it comes to taking down or avoiding powerhouse superheroes.

Weaknesses:

Mortal: She's tough, but not supernaturally so. She has to be extremely careful.

Her family: Alexandra has loved ones. In the super-villainy world, that is a weakness. Enemies should be aware, though, that going after her family is when she'll try to kill you without hesitation. But the life of her family will come first.

Noodles: God, noodles are so good. If you want to bribe Alexandra into doing something, give her noodles. Soy sauce, sesame, egg, even plain. They are the best thing.


Brief History: Alexandra Kosmos was born to a loving mother and father. She was lower class, not exactly able to afford many nice things. She went to school, made friends, (some of which she's still in contact with today!) Went to high school, dated a few guys, got good grades, almost got elected Prom Queen once!

Everything was normal except for the fact that she could stop time for eleven seconds whenever she wanted. Weird, huh? She wasn't really sure what to do with them. Being an impulsive teenager at the time, she used it to steal from people. Then mess with them in general. Only people she didn't know- never on her friends or family.

She needed money. Her mother was sick, her father, jobless. Her friends, too, suffered from poverty. It was terribly unfair. Some people were born with power. Not just super powers- the power of money, wealth, and influence. Why shouldn't she use her gifts to get what she wanted? While those on top were exploiting everyone already?

So began the crime spree of Decema and the Minute Hands. The notorious master thief and gang leader. She and her quickly acquired gang of loyal goons struck bank after bank, defeated low level superheroes with trickery. She paired up with other super villains for maximum effeciency. She was a part of multiple super-villain team ups. Everyone knew her as the mysterious, charismatic villain who could stop time for ten seconds. She was even a robin hood type figure, tossing stolen money out of get away cars to the people. She even did some actual good stuff, like screwing over super scummy businesses and corporations. It was fun!

(She figured they would figure out her ability eventually, so she constantly boasted about the ability to stop time for ten seconds. Little did they know, she can actually stop time for eleven seconds! Muahahaha! Bah. If only it was twelve, though. Then the branding would be perfect.)

This all lasted from when she was about twenty to when she was thirty. In the meantime she went to college, found a husband and got married. She got a degree in psychology. She didn't even have to lead a double life, because David Wright knew she was a super villain and he was like, totally into it. Let's just say sometimes the costume stayed on.

And what a life it was. She never got caught, and no one ever suspected. She could stop time, for Christ's sake. As long as she was careful and kept her head down, she was basically untouchable. Once she had made a comfortable life for herself, she kept running her middling criminal enterprise as a side gig. The Minute Hands are still on brand and lend their services out to villains today, though the Decema persona has mostly retired. Sometimes she still puts on the costume, though, but her appearances are rare. Only once or twice every couple of years since she became a professor.

She signed up for Lanius when she was thirty-one and has worked there as a professor/ counselor ever since. She had two kids with David, Lucia and David Junior. Couple of little rascals. They don't know about mommy's work yet, of course, but they're raising them so that when they find out they won't be shocked. They might even grow up to be crooks themselves! Here's hoping! Powers: Gelatinous Body
Instead of being made of flesh and bones, Amanda's body is composed of slime. This gives her extreme malleability to reshape herself as the mission requires. While some joke she is likely tangerine flavored, trying to actually ingest her is not recommended, as the slime has the characteristic of melting and absorbing other organic matter, power which she often uses to deal with unaware enemies without leaving a trace.

Description:


Of course, the most notable characteristic is that she is composed of half-translucent orange slime, with a darker less see-through tone acting as a stand in for her hair. While she can change her shape, she tends to settle on a look that is similar to hers before she became gelatinous. She has glowing green eyes. Clothing wise, she is often seen wearing a school uniform or her old maid uniform, as these are two special custom made outfits that can keep up with her powers, outside of that, she doesn't seem to care much, as most clothing gets molten or left behind when she shifts into a puddle.

Personality: Professional to an extreme, she is often at her best behavior when near anyone she considers a superior, be it a teacher or anyone from the company that employed her, a soft angel who is always up to helpful. With others more "equal" to her, she is far colder, often going for a no-nonsense approach. That said, no matter how hard she tries, she is still a bit clumsy, clueless and forgetful, being turned into jelly having not helped such empty headed behavior at all.

Skills:

-Unicellular Body
As a slime she doesn't have any type of internal organs or humans biological functions. This makes her particularly good at resisting traditional physical damage delivered by swords, punches or bullets.

-Facade
If she absorbs a person, it becomes very easy for her to take their form, and for up to 10 minutes this can extend even to skin and hair color.

Weaknesses:

-Elemental Weakness
While blades and bullets do little to her, her body is very sensitive to elemental powers. Fire makes it harder for her to keep a solid form while ice does the opposite, making her too solid to the point she can barely move. She also has a lot of trouble resisting water movement, as it tends to just drag her along.

-Boneless
Her attack power is very limited. A jelly body isn't very good at delivering punches or manning weapons, so melee combat is off for her. She could theoretically use a gun but each shot would make her wobble uncontrollably.

-Attention Grabbing
While she can take many forms, most of these forms have an orange coloring which makes it quite obvious upon close inspection that something is up. As such, if she is disguised, she relies on keeping a distance to others and wearing as much clothing as she can, though, as previously said, she tends to lose said clothing if she uses her power.

Brief History: Amanda was born in a small german village, most in there went to work in the nearby chemical plant of an unscrupulous company at an early age, and she was not different. However, instead of going to the plant, she instead was assigned as a maid on the mansion of one of the leading chemists in said company.

In there, while cleaning the scientist's lab, she accidentally dropped the flask containing a highly experimental universal solvent. She wasn't the first human to come in contact with it, and like many this resulted in her melting down, however, she was the first one to ever raise from said puddle, now as a strange gelatinous entity.

The company of course became very interested in this result, and decided to send the young maid to Lanius School, where she can learn "skills" that could be useful for their "operations". She doesn't mind it, sure she never thought of herself as some sort assassin before, but was it that different from her previous, as a maid she was asked to clean buildings and take out the trash, and now, as a villain, she is also asked to "clean" buildings and "take out the trash".

Full Name: Halen Hubble

Powers: Darkstar's powers, inherited through his family line, are the result of his grandfather having been infused with the god particle, giving them the cosmic power of the Big Bang. In practical terms, this means that Darkstar possesses the winning combination of super strength, speed, durability, and flight. While he is still getting the hang of his flight powers, Darkstar has a strong grasp of his more basic abilities, and is an absolute wrecking ball in combat. Besides those abilities, Darkstar can also create and manipulate a variety of different cosmic energies and materials, such as stellar matter, dark matter, and so on, which he uses in various attacks and techniques. Darkstar's grasp of this power is somewhat lacking, and he can only reliably manifest a few basic types of cosmic matter.

Description: Darkstar is a self-described "late bloomer" and is short for a boy his age, barely 5'5". He is thin, with not much musculature to speak of (though his tremendous strength has nothing to do with his muscles), and his features are soft and still androgynous. His hair is dyed black from its usual strawberry blond, and his shaved and styled into a punk coif. Darkstar has a few earrings and other piercings, though he has a scar over one of his thick, dark eyebrows from where his eyebrow ring got ripped out last year. His big, baby-blue eyes and childlike features result in most people thinking he is adorable and difficult to take seriously, which Darkstar does his best to combat with punk clothes such as studded leather and combat boots.

Personality: A classic case of the troubled and misunderstood teen, Darkstar isn't truly evil, but has a lot of misplaced aggression, frustration, and personal trauma. He has felt as though he's spent his whole life pretending to be someone he isn't and sees his enrollment at Lanius as a chance to cut loose and be himself. When in a good mood Darkstar is friendly, generous, quick with a joke, and enjoys being the center of attention. When his mood sours, he lashes out at anyone in striking distance, and loathes attention.

Skills: Thanks to his sidekick training, Darkstar is competent in hand-to-hand combat even without his prodigious strength, and has basic training in hacking, forensics, engineering, and other practical skills. Of particular note is how much information about astrophysics and similar cosmic phenomenon has been drilled into his head by his father. In a less practical sense, Darkstar plays the guitar, sings, and can draw and paint. He likes video games but only relaxing ones because he tends to break controllers if he gets too heated while playing.

Weaknesses: Darkstar's powers have not fully grown in, and he worries that they never will. They can activate or refuse to activate sporadically, and he sometimes cannot control the intensity of his abilities. By and large, his superhuman physiology is the most under his control, and his cosmic powers are the least. There is also some mention of a particular antimatter particle or weapon that was used to defeat his grandfather, the legendary Star Captain, but such a weapon hasn't been seen in 30 years.

Brief History: The history of Darkstar begins in the 60s with his grandfather, Hubert Hubble, who was a world-renowned adventurer and super-scientist even before his transformation. While conducting an experiment to simulate the birth of the universe, the safety mechanisms failed, and Hubert was caught in a massive explosion of exotic cosmic matter. This converted the matter in his body to be comprised of "god particles," the essence of the Big Bang, and infused him with tremendous cosmic power. Hubert took up the superhero identity of Star Captain, and became one of the most famous superheroes in world history. His legendary reign ended in the early 90s, when he was defeated and killed by a supervillain wielding an esoteric anti-matter weapon.

The legacy of Star Captain was taken up by Hubert's son, Harrison Hubble, who had worked as his father's sidekick and understudy for years under the identity of "Starchild." In the wake of his father's death, Harrison cast off that name and became known as Stardriver, and became an even more widely-recognized heroic icon than his father, practically an international celebrity. Stardriver attempted to continue his own legacy when he had his own child, who he also began to train from a young age so that he might follow in his father's footsteps.

Halen and his father never got along, partly because Halen resented being forced into being a superhero, and partly because he and his father don't understand each other. It was never Halen's idea to become Starchild, but his father didn't understand his objections to it, and pushed it on him all the harder. They would bicker endlessly about almost everything, and it came to a head before Halen was ever able to debut as Starchild. He ran away from home, living with friends and surfing on couches for some time. While Stardriver, given his powers and resources, easily kept tabs on his son, he let him have his space, seeing it as a temporarily solution to their problems that could be fixed later. Unbeknownst to him, Halen was scouted by the Lanius School, and was whisked away to join their young villains program, out of Stardriver's notice and reach.
