Hey I have a few questions. How do builds work? Like we probably can't max our characters out on every aspect I imagine.
Also, I was thinking of playing a half elf. I'm assuming that half elves still end up being dark or light elves. How would they be perceived by both elves and humans? Also, since humans are better at using aura and elves are more sensitive to magic, how does that balance out in a half elf?
The Experiences gained by the First Life are designed in such a way that nobody can get too powerful without speccing into a single category, to match the theme of the characters' lackluster results the first go-around. As for maxing out the rest, it'd be extremely difficult but not impossible. As Characters take certain actions in their second lives, and as we reach overall milestones for story progression, you'll be rewarded with either Free or Specific Experiences that can be used to further upgrade your abilities.
Of course, as your Rank in different aspects increase, either the number or the rarity of Experience required will also increase. This part will probably require me to see how quickly Characters grow before I finalize it, but I can say for relatively certain I expect most PCs to surpass the big wall of their first lifetime by Awakening their Aura, or rising to an equivalent rank in Magic, before the age of 21.
As for being a half-elf (which would be more possible if you were one of Deividas Kaides's grandchildren than it would be if you were one of the Patriarch's children), I'd say they have a much greater chance of resembling Light Elves than they do Dark Elves because the human population of Luzia would have complexions more akin to Light Elves themselves. In terms of Aura and Mana, they're right in the middle---they sense Mana better than humans but worse than Elves, and they use Aura better than Elves but worse than full-blooded humans. Because Aura depends more on physical training, however, it's easier for them to develop that to the same level as humans with extra effort.
