Good, good. Good to hear. Just a little thing I'd like to bring up because I forgot to include it in the blank CS template.
In your character's inventory, when they've been approved, make sure to include:
Sanctioned Hero Exam Diploma (Quest item)
Basically, the scrap of official paper that goes: "Hey, congratz! You passed the evaluation and now YOU get to be a hero!". You'll need to present it to whichever group your character decides to join at the start of the RP, so that they can verify who you are and that, y'know, actually can apply and join them.
Cameron is a petite young man standing at exactly 5’0”, with a slim but toned dancer’s build and fair skin. His bright blue eyes sparkle with childlike enthusiasm, framed by short blonde hair that curls slightly at the ends. His round babyface, button nose, and near constant smile make him look younger than his 22 years. He has no facial or body hair and wears pink star earrings in his pierced earlobes.
Cameron loves pink and cute aesthetics. He dresses in floral patterns, hearts, stars, and smiley faces, often incorporating pastel colors into his outfits. He’s not afraid to wear dresses or feminine clothing, feeling it’s unfair such things are seen as “just for girls.” His casual outfits are colorful and playful, perfectly matching his bubbly personality.
Age 22 | Gender: Male| Occupation: Pop Star
Personality:
Cameron is innocent, carefree, and seemingly always happy. He is a cheerful man who doesn't like to let bad things bother him. He always has a smile on his face even during the mort dire of situations, and is often in a good mood in general. He is an eternal optimist, and likes to see the good in every situation. He believes that if you focus on the positive, and ignore the bad, the bad stuff will just go away.
His optimism is most prevelant in his dealings with other people. He does his best to share his positivity with others, and tries his best to comfort other people who are sad. He likes to believe that everyone is ultimately good, and always gives people the benefit of the doubt. However, he can be quick to trust the wrong people because of his optimism. He rarely ever gets mad at others. Even if he does get mad, he gets over it very quickly. He openly expresses affection through touching in the form of hugs, holding hands, as well as stroking and grabbing shoulders.
He is easily exciteable and hyperactive. It is difficult to get him to sit still and focus on a single subject for too long before he gets bored and move on to the next thing. While he is able to think quick on his feet during intense situations. he often acts impulsively, and jumps to conclusions without thinking first. Even in conversations, he tends to go off on tangents. He is also quick to apologize for anything he regrets doing, even if he hasn't done anything wrong. His parents punished him harshly for any little mistake, so he is constantly concerned about displeasing others.
He is both a pop star and superhero in order to bring joy and happiness for others. He also enjoyed the attention and fame being a superhero brings. After he left the institute, he became an actor for the purposes of getting attention and fame. Cameron knows he is adorable, and he does use it to his advantage if he knows if it will benefit him somehow. He’ll use his cheery personality, and childish behaviors to manipulate others. He’ll play dumb, and act like he doesn’t understand the other person’s request, to avoid rejection, or just get out of situation he doesn’t like. He is also very good at acting, and knows how to say just the right things to get what he wants, or just to get attention when he feels lonely.
Cameron has a passion for cute and pretty things. Most of his possessions are pink, he has a collection of plush toys and fashion dolls, and has many other childish interests. So many people have a problem with an adult man liking such things, but Cam does not care. Due to his upbringing, he missed out on his childhood, so now he's making up for lost time. He loves every kind of sweets and desserts. Ultimately, Cameron not only wants to be happy himself, but also to make others happy.
Background:
Cameron was born to Movie Star Luana Mason. She had an affair with another actor, and only kept the child for the publicity. For a while, Cameron was raised by nannies hired by his mother. As Luana got older, she became less relevant and lost out on roles to younger actresses. She turned her attention to her son. If she couldn’t be in the spotlight anymore, then she would make her son a star, and live the glamorous lifestyle of a celebrity through him.
So, when Cameron turned 5, he was put through all kinds of lessons. Singing lessons, dance lessons, acting lessons, and he was still homeschooled to get a normal education. Cameron didn’t understand what all this was for, but went along with it to please his mother, and he believed she had good intentions. Besides, Cameron did enjoy some of the lessons his mother put him in. He liked singing and dancing, and it was discovered that he had a beautiful singing voice.
When he was 12, Cameron discovered what all these lessons were for. He was entered into talent shows, and taken to various recording studios where he was made to sing and perform for people. He soon got himself a record deal. He soon launched to the top of the Pop Charts with his hit single “Love is Like a Gummy Bear.” All of a sudden, Cameron was a bona fide Pop Star, and his stage mom was his manager.
After this, Cameron’s life became much more hectic. He was recording songs, doing concerts, and all the things that Pop Stars do. His had a tight and brutal schedule. His mother loved it, and she lived a glamorous lifestyle on Cameron’s money. She also became much more strict with him. He would be punished for the slightest slip up (sometimes beaten.) Despite the harshness, Cameron found himself enjoying being a Pop Star. It gave him a sense of purpose. To bring joy into people’s lives. Cameron had a number of fans. On the days when things were difficult, he had to remind himself that he was making people happy. He also enjoyed all the fame and attention he got from being a Pop Star. Whenever he was paraded out in public, Cam was the one front in center, the center of attention. He was always willing to interact with fans and pose for pictures when his mother allowed it.
Things changed when he turned 18. While he loved being a Pop Star, he could see that his momager wasn’t a nice lady. He was spending his money, and frankly he wanted a little more freedom. So, he fired her. There was a lot of drama, and lawsuits involved, but Cameron came out ok in the end. He got a brand new manager who was actually a decent human being, and Cameron now had room to breathe a little.
To celebrate, Cameron put on a major concert. Everything was going well, but several things happened to make the concert end early. There was an explosion at the laboratory that was near the concert venue Cameron was performing. This caused a strange blue mist to spread all over the area. As everyone was trying to evacuate, Cameron was unfortunately struck by lightning, and had to be put in the hospital.
Months later, Cameron woke up from a coma and was released from the hospital. Fortunately for him he was able to resume his Pop Star career. He got a ton of publicity from the incident. He would soon came to discover that he had Super Speed abilities. Now he tries to balance Pop Stardom, with being a superhero. Cameron fights crime and disasters while bringing joy and positivity to Paragon City, even if he’s a little lost whenever the scientists start explaining things.

Dynamo wears a pink full body suit with darker pink speed line accents, purple elbow-length gloves, purple boots, a purple belt with a starburst buckle, a purple hood, and a pink visor over his eyes. The costume is designed for agility and flash, embodying both his heroism and his pop-star flair.
Primary Power: Super Speed: Cameron can move at very high speeds.
Secondary Power: Accelerated Healing — A boosted metabolism allows him to recover quickly from minor injuries and fatigue.
Weakness: Cameron has to eat a lot of food to maintain his powers. Overuse of his powers leads to exhaustion. Not very durable, heavy hits or immobilization can put him out of action quickly.

Just a quick little pre-weekend check to see how everyone is doing, and/or if any of ya feel like you need more time or need answers or some other thingmybob.
I already know what Sanity's been up to, but how about you all?
@Crimson Flame, @Rin, @Zeroth and @Altered Tundra? Ya'll doing okay? Lemme know if yo need anything. Pointers, lore, yes/no, Mountain Dew Baha Blast.... Y'know, whatever.
Heyyy sorry was a lil busy past couple days, but I have been working on my character as much as I could!
I'll still take the Baja blast if you're still offering
@Crimson Flame I see no issue with Cam, so high-speed acceptance is for you. Feel free to put the overly cutesy shota pop star in the character tab. :)
@Altered Tundra Sorry, I drank it all in a fit of stress-eating while waiting for CS'es. :(
Good to hear you've been chippin' away at yer toon though. We likes that sorta news.
You know... On closer inspection, I feel that just giving you guys the option of 2 abilities at the start, when you've got 2 Superpowers to your name, is a bit cheap.
So, you all get an extra. Everyone can now start with 3 abilities in their actives & passives.
Of course, this means that you guys who've already gotten your characters approve are gonna hafta submit your additonal "Active/Passive" ability here in the OOC for review.
But the rest of you, who haven't posted a character sheet yet, can just make sure you have three abilities in there when you do.
Name: Sweet Recovery Type: Active Rank: ★ Range: Self Description: Cameron burns calories at super-speed, triggering his metabolism to knit wounds faster. He can take a breather during a fight (or scarf down a snack!) to rapidly restore a chunk of his HP stamina and heal minor injuries.
Name: Huntress of the Arcane Type: Passive Rank: ★ Range: Self Description: Stella can sense the presence of magical beings or items within a 30 meter radius, but not their exact location (so something invisible or disguised could still hide from her).
Description: Violet is a taller than average woman standing at 174cm/5’7". She has long, dark brown, almost black hair and piercing burgundy eyes.
30 | Female | CEO of Covington Industries
Personality:
The very image of maturity and professionalism, Violet always presents a calm, cool, and refined demeanor. She is always perfectly poised, always in control of her emotions and actions, as is expected of the CEO of Covington Industries and heiress of the wealthy and respected Covington Family. Incredibly intelligent and calculating, she is deeply invested in forging a path to a prosperous future for her company, while also preparing for her future role as Head of the Covington Family, when her illustrious, yet ailing father, Thane Covington, finally passes. Incredibly logical, to the point of almost seeming emotionless, she has no time for games or other childish foolishness. She often comes across as coldly arrogant, aloof, and imperious, but she prefers to think of herself as simply confident in her own abilities and ever-mindful of the respect she should be afforded due to her high station, while being utterly unconcerned about the troubles of those beneath her.
Background:
The daughter (and only child) of renowned magnate Thane Covington, from her earliest days, Violet was groomed to succeed her illustrious father as CEO of Covington Industries, a powerful, world-spanning corporation involved in a myriad of profitable ventures in nearly every economic sector. By the age of ten, her sole focus was already on her studies and training. Home schooled by the best private tutors from the security of the penthouse atop Covington Tower, young Violet was thoroughly shielded from anything that other girls her age might have been interested in, or enamored with. As the heiress of the prestigious Covington Family, she had a sacred duty to uphold, and so there would be no time for games, stories, tv shows, friends, or childish frivolity in general. Completely devoted to her father and the future he had planned for her, Violet discarded any notion of a normal childhood without a hint of protest. Indeed, even from her earliest years, she seemed to disdain anything considered to be “immature”. Always in full control of her emotions and possessed of a brilliant intellect, Violet was soon attending important business meetings alongside her father, eagerly learning all he was able to teach her. The sight of the impeccably refined and composed girl never failed to unnerve CI’s board of directors or Thane Covington’s various high profile guests, the focused intensity of Violet’s gaze leaving no doubt that this was someone possessed of a competency far beyond their meager years.
When the time came for Thane Covington to step down from his position as CEO due to failing health, it came as no surprise that it was Violet who succeeded him. Proving herself to be just as capable as her father, if not more so, she led the company to ever-greater heights, proudly exceeding everyone’s already lofty expectations. With no time for, or interest in, leisure or romance, Violet’s days are spent ensuring that Covington Industries remains in a dominant position in the world’s economic arena, dispassionately crushing or absorbing smaller concerns whenever they exhibit even the slightest hint of weakness. People, whether they are an intimidated aid, a factory worker struggling to provide a meager income for their family, or even an influential head of state or fellow captain of industry, are seen as nothing more than just another resource to be exploited and then discarded when their usefulness has been depleted. Her’s is a stern and cold existence, one that is merely an extension of a childhood utterly bereft of friends and joy. As then, subordinates and satisfaction have taken their place, and as she would tell any who might be bold enough to ask, she holds absolutely no regrets.
Yet, such a claim would not entirely be true, for Violet Covington has a secret.
Despite what all outward appearances might have suggested, a part of Violet desperately longed for a normal childhood. In reality, she loved the thought cute things, whimsical games, and having fun with friends. Most especially of all, she loved magical girls. From the moment she first saw Sugar Pink defeat a monster on a commercial for Sugar Saviors, Violet wanted to be just like her, wanted to be cute, girly, cheerful, and happy, a symbol of hope and joy to all who saw her. She never said any such thing, of course, never gave even the slightest hint that such thoughts even crossed her mind, but deep in the most hidden depths of her heart, Violet wanted it more than anything. Still, her duty to her family, and their company, could not be so easily set aside. Being a magical girl was just a silly dream, a childish fantasy that had no place amongst the serious responsibilities of her adult life. And so it would have been, had not the most whimsical creature imaginable appeared before the CEO on the eve of her thirtieth birthday, telling her that she had been chosen to become the defender of sweet dreams, and to spread them to everyone in the world plagued by nightmares or despair. While reluctant at first, something deep within Violet compelled her to accept this “Sovereign of Sweet Dreams’” offer.
From that moment, her life would change forever…

Super Cute Pretty Pretty Magical Dream Princess~!
Magic | Controller | Level 1 | MAGI
Superpowers:
Primary Power: Sweet Dream Magic~!
This manifests as powers over dreams and the conjuration of dream constructs as viewed through a lens of childish wonderment, whimsy, and cuteness.
Weakness: Altered Personality and Intellect
As Super Cute Pretty Pretty Magical Dream Princess~!, Violet's personality changes completely. She becomes incredibly childish and staggeringly hyperactive, embodying the worst aspects of the physical and mental pre-teen her magical girl form changes her into, as if returning all the repressed aspects of her childhood and cranking them up to eleven. Her usual seriousness is replaced by a bubbly, carefree, and extraordinarily playful attitude. Indeed, the innocent and easily distracted girl Violet becomes is often far more focused on playing games (with civilians, other heroes, and even villains), or cheerfully chatting with animals and inanimate objects, than on actually fighting enemies. Going from being rigidly focused to having the worst case of ADHD imaginable, she finds it almost impossible to concentrate when she’s Magical Dream Princess~!, her thoughts a whirling kaleidoscope of cute images and prismatic colors, leaving her in a state of ditzy delirium. She almost never thinks before she speaks, and often forgets things mid-sentence. Her voice, normally a deep and mature tone, becomes the ultra high-pitched, cutesy, and girly embodiment of Kawaiiko “charm”. Unsurprisingly, Magical Dream Princess~! refers to herself in the third person, and employs an annoyingly babyish rhyming speech, interspersed with streams of sickeningly sweet giggles. She “wuvs” making “friendy wendies”, giving them “huggy wuggies”, striking cute poses, performing silly dances, and singing cute songs she just thought up (and will probably forget a few seconds later, because, if it hasn’t been made painfully obvious by this point, Violet’s photographic memory becomes more like that of a goldfish’s whenever she becomes Magical Dream Princess~! ).
When she’s transformed, it's almost impossible to get Violet to take anything seriously. She just wants to have fun, make friends and have fun with said friends as she bounces around on her whimsical, magic-fueled sugar rush. Thus, the best way to have her do what you want is to trick her into thinking it’s actually a super fun game of some sort.
As a corollary to this, due to being so painfully innocent and naive, Magical Dream Princess~! will believe anything anyone tells her, for good or ill. Once she realizes someone has lied to her (no small feat), they will be declared a “meanie weanie head” (or, in extreme cases, a “super duper meanie weanie head”), and will no longer be trusted (at least until she completely forgets the whole encounter ever happened, resetting things to back to square one).
It should also be noted that Magical Dream Princess~! is often unaware that she is even responsible for the effects of her own magic, and has little conscious control over it. For instance, she could be thinking about pretty butterflies, and the next instant, a mystical swarm of them would form around a foe. However, not only would she have no idea that she created them, but she would think the prismatic blasts of energy they would shoot at the enemy in question were nothing more than elements of a pretty light show, with said enemy’s roars of anger and/or pain being mistaken for laughter or singing, and its pained writhing being viewed as happy dancing.
Supplementary Powers:
N/A
Name: Cutesy Carousel~! Type: Passive Rank: ★ Range: Ranged Description: Not exactly an attack as such, since Magical Dream Princess~! is completely unaware she’s causing it to happen, at times, when she’s thinking/dreaming about a cute thing(or things) intensely enough, multiple small to medium sized iterations of said thing/things (butterflies, unicorns, smiley hearts, smiley stars, etc.) will appear around a new friend (enemy) in a glittery, prismatic whirlwind and begin “tickling” and “playing with” (attacking) it, dealing a steady stream of light damage over a period of 30 seconds. --- Name: Special Wecial Dreamy Weamy Friendy Wendies~! Type: Active Rank: ★ Range: Ranged Description: Magical Dream Princess~! can conjure several whimsical dream constructs to serve as additional friends and companions when “playing games” (fighting a battle). These can range from a rainicorn pegasus (for flying around on) and sparkly pink smiley face clouds (for catching her if she falls), to giant gummy bears (for “huggy wuggies”) and anthropomorphic “clock cops” (for whenever someone needs a “timey wimey outy wouty”). --- Name: Dreamy Weamy Visit Wisit~! Type: Active Rank: ★ Range: Ranged Description: As someone charged with the defense and proliferation of sweet dreams (even if she doesn’t fully understand what those words mean while transformed), Magical Dream Princess~! is unsurprisingly able to enter the dreams of others in order to “make meanie weanie nightmare wighmares go bye bye” and replace them with “sweety weety dreamy weamies”.
@Ponn Unfortunately, the age limit of characters in this RP is 22. As such, I cannot accept Violet based on that fact alone.
The second issue is her weakness. Although hilarious, it's not really a tangible weakness that could be used by anyone who doesn't actually know Violet and her personality as the Magic Magic Pretty Princess Puff. It's also a very abusable weakness in that it can pretty much be decided on by the writer whetever it comes into effect or not. Not that I beleive or have any reason to think you would abuse it, I'm just saying it is a very abusable weakness that isn't really much of a weakness if you don't want it to be.
Also, given her personality... Or rather, her projected personality, would amke it rather hard for her to pass the Sanctioned Hero Exam. After all, it would be her civilian persona, not her magical girl form, who would take the psyche and interview-portions of said exam. And if she assumed her cold-hearted, purely logical and "people are nothing but resources to be exploited and discarded"-mentality, there's no way she would've passed it.
Finally, her two last abilities;
Special Wecial Dreamy Weamy Friendy and Dreamy Weamy Visit Wisit~!
Neither of these abilities specify clearly what the purpose of the abilities are. Yes, she can summon friends and familiars... But... To or for... What, exactly? Can they attack? Do they create a wall or blockade or act as meat shields for her or her allies? Are they sentient and/or can take action on their own, or are they just puppets on strings that dance to Magic Magic PuniRuni's whims?
What purpose does entering someone's dreams serve? Can she harm/heal them from inside of there? is it just a thematic power that's on-brand but effectively pointless as most enemies or situations you'll find yourself in won't actually involve sleeping people? Can the ability PUT people to sleep? tt's not very descriptive of what it actually does in a boring, parameters and hard-facts sort of way.
So, as it stands, I cannot approve this character.
You're of course more than welcome to make edits or try to explain and elaborate on the issues I've brought up. I do find her amusing and charming, and I do like her and think she could be fun to have in the RP. It's just that there're a few issues with her as it stands.
EDIT:
As I just realized that the only mention I made of the age restrition was in the interest Check and not in this OOC, I've updated the Blank Character Sheet-code to include the acceptable age-range for characters.
@Xaltwind That’s cool. I honestly wasn’t expecting her to be suitable. I just thought it would be fun to give it a shot.
That said, I’d still like to address your various concerns.
First, I was assuming Violet would only interact with her fellow heroes as MDP (Magical Dream Princess), who is physically and mentally 8. In addition, I didn’t see the age cap of 22, so I thought Violet’s real age wouldn’t be a factor either.
Second, while I agree her weakness is very abusable, I would argue that it is more easily abused by her foes. As this character is very much a comedic one, I would always have it come into effect, no matter how detrimental. While she is very powerful, I’ve always envisioned her as being as much of a hindrance to her allies as her enemies.
Third, and relating to the first point, Violet is someone who would wish to retain the secrecy of her true identity at all costs. She would take the entire exam as MDP, and do everything in her power to ensure that no one ever learned that she and MDP were one and the same (something she’d eventually fail to do at the worst possible moment, of course). In fact, I thought that if there was any objection, it would be that someone as childish, hyperactive, and easily distracted as MDP would be incapable of passing the exam.
Finally, in regard to the problematic abilities, the summoned dream constructs would be able to perform a variety of functions, though none of them would actually be capable of causing any form of harm (with the worst thing they could do being to knock a low-powered enemy unconscious). While some can talk, they would mostly just follow MDP whims/requests, rather than act completely independently. Her dream entering ability was mostly for thematic purposes, and probably wouldn’t have much effect in combat whatsoever.
In any case, it looks like you have quite a few other applicants, and with a limit of 5 characters, I’m perfectly fine with not taking part.
For the first part. You're absolutely right The restriction on age was entirely my fault, as I'd forgotten to include it in the character sheet template. So that is entirely my fault.
As I said in my review; While I believe it is an abusable weakness, I've got no reason to beleive that you - as the writer - would abuse and meta-game/power-game the issue to your benefit. As it is very clear that Violet is made to e a "for the laughs" person when doing her hero-thing. But I still felt it was necessary to point out the potential, as this kind of issue was discussed by me in the interest check, and I (believe?) I've mentioend it in the Character Sheet guide too(?).
The third issue is again partly my fault, for not explaining how the S.H.E works. But basically, it consists of several "parts", including a written exam (for checking a person's knowledge about general laws and such), an interview and psych-test (to determine a person's morals, social views, overall behavior and etc). And finally an "aptitude" test, where a person's abilities are tested and demonstrated. As you can tell though, there's only one part of the test where you actually need to use or demonstrate superpowers or physical abilities. Given that the hero-organizations are also goverment sanctioned (and administrated) institutes, the goverment would need to know your real identity in order to give you a license - naturally, they practice Protection of Private Information, so it's not like anyone else would know your true identity unless you revealed it.
But again, this is my own fault for not explaining or detailing how the exam works.
Finally, for the powrers: Ah good. You explained them and they seem fine. Which means this isn't actually an issue or concern anymore.
You're right. A lot of people haveapplied, more than I imagined. Which is why I'm going to extend the player limit to 7 instead of 5. Because if I kept it at 5, that means anyone who applied after the next person got accepted would need to wait for @Zeroth and @Rin to finish their CS'es, as they've got priority treatment for reviewing characters and joining the RP. And since we've got several folks who didn't come from the interest check, that feels a bit unfair, at least to me.
So, if you want, you can still try and join the RP. Either by making a few edits to Violet, or by submitting a new character. But, if you've been or felt turned off by my responses and total neglect as a GM, I completely understand. Thank you for your interest in the TRP either way. I had a lot of fun reading Violet's CS. :)
EDIT:
In order to avoid this sort of thing, I've written up a very brief overview of how the Sanctioned Hero Exam works. You can find it in the first post of the OOC, right below the "Archetypes:" hider. Note that you don't need to ace and score 100% on the exam to pass. You just need to avoid raising any red flags or doing something that'd disqualify you from passing.
Oh, and I think I mentioend it already, but I added the 16-22 age restriction to the blank character sheet code as well.
I've also updated our player roster to allow 7 peeps to join instead of the original 5, as this got more attention than I imagined it would.
Since it has now beeen roughly 1.5 weeks since this OOC was started, I'm going to set a bit of a soft deadline for you all, as I'd prefer this RP to actuall get started wuth the IC at some point within a reasonably near future.
As such, this coming weekend, which is August 29th - 31st, I'd like to ask anyone who is still interested in joining this RP to have submitted their character sheet for review. This gives you about a week to get your character in order. The reason for this is three-fold.
1) I personally feel that half a month of time passing before an RP's IC actually starts is a bit on the long and slow side.
2) People who've finished their characters shouldn't have to sit around, twiddle their thumbs and wait in start-up limbo/purgatory for too long, as their interest will undoubtedly start to fade or wane if they hafta do nothing for too long.
3) I'd like to see the RP actually start, and the thread to pick up some activity and interaction between players, not just me sitting and replying to questions or approving/rejecting character sheets. While that is part of what I do as a GM, I also want you lot to talk, banter and plan things among yourselves. Or just make silly, pointless and amusing small-talk. A healthy OOC with active players is usually a healhy RP in general.
So. TL;DR:
Next weekend (August 29th-31st, 2025) is the deadline for submitting CS'es. After that, I'm gonna try and start the IC asap.
Here's my char! Let me know if there's anything I need to edit ^-^
Lorelei Pope
18 | Gender: Female | College Student
Personality:
Lorie is the type of person who enjoys the creature comforts of her comfortable room. She finds it hard to make friends IRL so all her friends are online that she gained through playing MMORPGs and participating in public community forums about anime, games, and all other nerdy matters. She's passionate about the things she likes and she will defend a topic with her life. She can spend the entire day inside her room whenever she can, though she likes to keep herself clean and tidy unlike other shut-ins. When she goes out, it's only for conventions and events for the stuff she's interested in.
While she's energetic and outgoing online, Lorie's meek and quiet IRL. Believe her, she's tried making friends at her school, at the park, at the mall, but they're always so judgmental and think they're better than everyone else. That's why she prefers to be a wallflower in public occassions: standing on one corner of the room while occasionally looking up from her phone constantly glued to her hand. If she doesn't have her phone, she has her gaming console. If she left those at home, she has her rubix cube. She's learned to not care about what other people say about her. Life's too short for that after all!
Despite that, Lorie is a kind young woman with a heart of gold. She'll give someone a bandaid or a candy if she sees they're hurt or unwell, but she's not the type to take credit for helping. She doesn't need all that validation; Lorie is the type that gets the job done as quickly and efficiently as she could while still being unapologetically herself.
Background:
Lorelei was born into a normal human family that loved physical fitness. Her dad was a world-renowned bodybuilder and her mother was an extreme yoga instructor. With their combined efforts, they ran a family owned gym and founded a charity that taught people of all ages the benefits of staying fit and healthy. Her older brother was even a silver-medalist Olympian turned coach, and Lorelei herself was being nurtured to becoming the world's first triathlete physician. All that changed when her brother let her borrow his gaming console.
Since then, Lorie loved gaming and the wonders of the internet, which eventually lead to her learning more about coding and technology. Posters of famous female athletes on her wall were replaced with blueprints of her trying to recreate her favorite game character's things. Her parents were comically devastated of course, and they tried everything to entice her to go back to being physically active. She still joined them in their weekly jogging/sprinting and other activities for leisure, but it's clear where Lorie's heart was.
Whenever she heard her family complaining of body aches and joint pains from working out too much, Lorie thought to recalibrate her tech to help heal them. She even tested it on her brother's students which provided stellar results. Her parents were still very proud that Lorie had managed to blend her family's dreams for her with her own hobbies and talents, and encouraged her to give the Sanctioned Hero Exams a try. Lorie was against it at first but when given the prospect of becoming her favorite anime character IRL, she took that chance.
Now that she passed the exams, being a hero was definitely like cosplaying as a character in a video game but with a few caveats. Stakes were definitely higher, consequences of one's actions were graver, and there were no do-overs; she only got one shot to do everything right. On the brighter side, she's used to playing games in the hardest difficulty.
Civilian Skills:
She's more athletic than the normal citizen, and her knowledge about anime and gaming is through the roof. She also knows how many calories each food contain give or take. Perks of being a daughter of fitness enthusiasts.

Weakness: She's still susceptible to anything that can kill any human. Plus, a villain who specializes against technology will be at a greater advantage over her. Additionally, she'll need electricity or at least a constant light source to keep being able to use her abilities.

@baraquiel Alrighty then. There's nothing inherently wrong with Lorelei and I have no reason not to accept her. The only thing I'd like - on a personal level - is a bit more details in her bakcground as to where and how she gained her Staff and other tech-based items. I'm assuming she created them or had them made in the image of anime/game characters' items or equipment, but some kind of reference to and explanation to as how, when and where she obtained it all would be nice.
Also, unless Lorelei intends to beat baddies over the head with her stick, you might want to consider adding at least one attack in her actives/passives. This isn't a requirement, just a suggestion. But if she can do jus fine by doig yoga and athlete-based stuff to kcik ass, then I guess she really doesn't need to worry about it.
