But I can't think of an origin for why a sort-of symbiote like creature would find and want to co-exist with a human being, nor can I think of a satisfying origin.

In this case, her lower body is replaced by that of a spider (like a drider - spider-centaur basically - in certain fantasy franchises).

It might be useful to break down the idea into its fundamental parts. So for a symbiote-like character, we need to understand that the essence of the idea is that a character has been infected by some sort of parasite. Parasites come in all sorts of organisms: animals, plants, fungi, bacteria, etc. You can ask questions like do you want the parasite to coat the victim or remain buried inside while bestowing superhuman powers onto its host? Also, what sort of relationship do you want the host and parasite to have? For Venom, for instance, it was almost metaphorically representing the "crazy ex-girlfriend who hasn't moved on yet". Is the relationship sinister (something that seeks hosts for survival and eventually burns the host out) or mutual (something that helps or benefits the host).

There can also be a variety of origins for this idea. It does not have to have an origin from space. Maybe it's man-made. Or something mystical in nature. Just play around with the idea until you find something that is satisfactory.

@Dedonus It's a mutual relationship I'm thinking, it's less sinister and the symbiote/parasite would feel what the host feels.

Like if the host is angry, the parasite would show its anger as well. And I'm thinking it would coat the character's skin like the symbiotes from Marvel do.

The problem is; I can't think of a reason why the character and the parasite would join together; like if it was man-made I guess the character could've been a scientist or trying to steal it for a bidder who wants it for a super-weapon. Honestly though, I would prefer if the parasite had a cosmic backstory: Like maybe these types of parasites are good and help heroes all over the galaxy by bonding with the hero. But doesn't that sound too much like the Klyntar?

Well, at least the parasite doesn't exactly have a planet. Ugh, this is hard. You know how Captain Universe powers come to a hero with a pure heart or something, that's what I'm thinking.

I'd love any suggestions for powers for this and ideas for an origin.

By the way, for season 2 Barron's goons will be around for people to bust and clash with. Anything big let me know, but small stuffs like Gambling Dens, or Snuggling operations and the like are fine for people to create and use for filler. His group isn't entirely human and not just the meta variety either. But neither will they be fully monstrous in public.

Yeah I don't mind waiting I was hoping for the same thing. I think @EnterTheHero is currently working on a post and same with @Nytefall. At least I'm pretty sure. Haven't heard much from either of them here in the OOC.

As for @Gamerxz not sure if they're working on a post either.
